Absolutely loved this place! The interior design is so beautiful and stylish, and the team prepares everything super fast. My prosciutto sandwich was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this spot!

I’ve been coming to this place for years, and it hasn’t lost its flavor or authenticity. My friends and I love it. I really enjoy their piadina, and on my latest visit I tried their pizza and loved it too.

Very cute spot. The staff is capable and friendly and the food is always delicious. I really enjoy their Piadina. I always wonder why they aren’t busier… It feels like an unfound treasure.

The tomato-based tagliatelle was robust and well-balanced, with just the right touch of acidity and a generous sprinkle of parmesan to round it out. The creamy pesto fettuccine was equally outstanding — rich, smooth, and aromatic without being overpowering. Both pastas had excellent texture, clearly freshly made. The toasted bread served alongside added a delightful contrast in texture and made for a perfect accompaniment. Service was efficient and the overall dining experience felt thoughtful and refined. Highly recommend to anyone seeking high-quality, handmade pasta in a relaxed yet polished setting.

OMG! Amazing place and food. Food was delicious and fresh, great service. I visited Italy so many times for work and I felt the same vibes with your food! Loved your focaccia sandwiches and pizza. My daughter loved your fettuccine. The Italian chefs are really friendly.

Piadina's food is so delicious and the owner was very friendly and helpful! The food looked so good I forgot to take photos before we started eating. I loved how the sandwiches and flatbread were on display and they also make pasta and lasagna as well. Their froccocia was amazing and it was probably the best tuna sandwich I've ever had. I’ll start out by saying the food was amazing. Now the last time I went was over a week ago and I’m leaving a review because it just doesn’t sit right with me anymore. Me and my girlfriend went in at 2:30 on a Tuesday I believe. No one was in there except us and a couple staff. No hello no nothing. Fine that’s not typical I won’t freak out over that. I go to order and me and my girlfriend get weird looks. Order our food and I tried starting some conversation with the blonde girl to get info about the place. Very dismissive and very rude short one answer responses. Tried taking to the guy with accent and glasses same deal. I don’t know if it was because of the way we’re dressed (comfy clothes not exactly regular clothes) or the way we looked but we got the feeling that they didn’t want us to be there. We got our food to go anyway so after it took them the short while to make it we left. Food was amazing though. Top notch.

Easy meal option for families. This is our 6th time here. It’s so good (esp the service) it is worth my time to rate and thank them. You can’t go wrong with all the options on the menu. All yummy

Overall: SOOO good! I would definitely come back here. It's a great Italian placed tucked away in the heart of Irvine. Got the margarita pizza and 2 pastas (fettucine and chef's special) -- all really good portions. Service: You order up front and they bring it to you, food does take a little bit but it's all freshly made so I didn't mind. Ambiance: Modern and bright inside! Small, but they offer both indoor and outdoor seating.

The food is absolutely scrummy here! The pastas & sauces taste authentic and freshly home-made, and the portions are gigantic. The sandwiches and focaccia bread are similarly flavorful and authentic. One day I hope to make focaccia as beautifully as they do here! They have an incredibly thoughtful staff, who bust a gut to provide amazing service that straddles the line between a quick-service and sit down experience. All of this in super aesthetic and clean surroundings. I have distinct memories of cleanliness protocols used at Piadina (their sister restaurant) that were impressive well before Covid. Sole Toscano feels like an undiscovered gem, but I have a feeling it won't stay that way for long!

My new favorite local pasta place! So underrated and hidden. It is such a clean and cute place to eat. The food was also super good. I recommend trying their soups and pasta! Each comes with bread! Usually the pesto comes with gnocchi, but they let you switch it out for fusilli! So good. Also, I had the super greens soup, and it was so amazing. I RECOMMEND: -pesto pasta (you can swap the gnocchi out) -super greens soup The service was amazing as well!!

Sole Toscano was a nice little Italian restaurant - the store felt clean and new. We got the picante and turkey pesto focaccia sandwiches and they were so good ! The portions were a good size and shareable among friends/family. The staff were friendly and the bread was freshly made. Definitely will be coming back

Solo Toscano Italian Café is a new spot in Irvine with a beautiful interior that brings back the feeling of being in Italy. Warm, cozy, and authentic atmosphere. The chef or service recommended the Fettuccine ai Funghi, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The mushrooms are flavorful and fresh, and the white creamy sauce is rich, tasty, and perfectly balanced. A dish that goes fast because it's so good. Service is friendly. A great place worth visiting.

Just got back from our trip to Italy 2 weeks ago and we were craving quality Italian coffee and food and this place did not disappoint. We ordered an espresso, cappuccino and cannolis and loved it so much we had to try their mortadella on fresh focaccia bread. Appreciated glassware for our coffees, freshness of the food and helpfulness of the staff. We even had a great convo (maybe the owner) about our trip to Italy. Seriously can't wait to come back!

I ordered their CHEF SPECIAL - Fettucine Al Funghi and CHEF SPECIAL - Spaghetti all'Amatriciana and they were both very delicious. The pasta was fresh and the sauces were so flavorful. The service was great and the cafe was clean. I would 100% return!

I ate in during the late afternoon, as I had a craving for pasta with red sauce. They done offer a lot of sides or small plates, so I just had the pasta. It was very filling, and came with two small slices of bread that were just enough. Also had a latte that was nice. I returned to takeout a dinner--the chef's special of mushroom-Alfredo sounded great--and it was! Very tasty meat sauce with mushrooms. Their noodles aren't overcooked and didn't get mushy even after re-heating as leftovers. They seem handmade and tasty. I LOVED this dish. And the two slices of bread were just right--crispy! I also had the salad with salami. I liked that the salami was rolled up and not chopped up. All the greens were fresh and crisp. I'm looking forward to trying their other dishes and the sandwiches! It's a very low-key place. Nice enough but not fancy. Service was good. Takeout was easy. In a shopping center with plenty of parking.

Very tasty foods and a good dining experience. Edging more towards a 4.5. Was looking for a coffee shop for her caffeine fix. Hobbled in and she asked if they made coffee, yes. Hard to not see the tasty pastas which brought the realization we can eat. The special was a creamy penne with sausage which was my focus and she had the meatballs. Yes, she ordered an iced Americano too. Food was at the table quickly and very tasty. A bit salty for us yet overall a hearty dish that was not a skimpy portion. Butter in that creamy sauce, sure thing. She loved the meatballs and found the sauce and meat texture excellent. Reasonable prices at ~$16 plate. The dark chocolate croissant for dessert excellent! She enjoyed their coffee drink as well. Service friendly and courteous. Shop clean and inviting. We'd come back when in the area.

F: The food here is delicious for the value. The home made Focaccia bread was crisp (slightly dry), light and a good flavor. The bread complimented the pasta / sandwich well. The pasta sauce had nice depth and complexity, but the home made pasta missed Al Dente by about a minute. Overall I would definitely recommend the food. They also sell an assortment of pastries and pizza. S: Everyone was welcoming and friendly. The person taking our order had a smile on their face and brought out the food to our table which I appreciated. I saw them preparing the food and they really took their time assembling the dishes with care. A: The place gives a modern and upscale vibe. It was fairly empty for lunch so it was quiet and felt pretty upscale for the type of food and service. There's a decent amount of seating inside and plenty of seating outside. Overall, I'd give Sole a 85/100 - 4 stars

Delicious, freshly made and affordable Italian food. We love the Caesar salad, caprese sandwich and fettuccine Al Ragu. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ambiance is bright, airy and cozy. Outdoor seatings by the fountain is also an option. Highly recommended!

Likes: + Yummy food. Not too filling. I like their use of thin bread so you can enjoy everything else more and not get distracted by getting full too fast. + Polite, helpful staff. + Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. . Ample but often crowded parking. Non-likes: - Not a wide selection of meats. - So, adding meat just to meet a decent amount cost extra for me :/ - I think Piadina used to have a water machine. They removed it since change of ownership. I had: $12.45 #8 California + $2.25 extra meat + tax = $15.84

A very fairly priced Italian spot with a modern interior. There's a decent amount of indoor seating and outdoor seating is also available. We were greeted when we entered walked by all of the food on display before placing our order at the register at the end of the counter. They recommended their homemade focaccia bread as well as the homemade pasta. The Prosciutto sandwich had a decent amount of prosciutto and other toppings in it. The focaccia bread was fluffy and had a crispy exterior. The ingredients were really fresh and it was a decent portion size. The Tagliatelle al Ragu had a lot of flavor in the sauce but the pasta was slightly overcooked. The tagliatelle was very soft and the dish could've been elevated more by having the pasta cooked closer to al dente, but it was still a very tasty dish. The amount of pasta is fair and the focaccia that they give on the side makes the dish more substantial. However, the focaccia that came with the pasta was a little bit more dried out and stale compared to that of the prosciutto sandwich.

my bf and i found this pasta spot on a whim and i'm glad we decided to give it a try! i believe they opened pretty recently and i think i've found my go-to pasta spot in irvine. although they have preset pasta options available on the menu, they are flexible with customization. i got the fettuccine pesto and it was amazinggg. it comes with bits of diced tomatoes which tastes so good with the pesto sauce + oil drizzle. the bread it comes with also tastes great (coat it with some of the sauce + tomatoes)!! in general, many pasta places leave me uncomfortably stuffed and send me into a food coma. however, i left here feeling comfortably full. the pasta here tastes fresh, authentic, and has rich flavors while not being overwhelming. the interior is simple & chic and they have a good amount of seating. the employees are also super nice and knowledgeable about the pasta!

This place got on my radar from a fellow Yelper who mentioned the avocado toast they had here. Always a sucker for advertising I had to give it a try... Let me tell you what... this place is full of great options. Fresh focaccia is used throughout for sandwiches, a loaf by itself or for the avocado toast. Salads are available as well with a great variety of Italian dishes. Service was superb with a nice young man taking our order and delivering our food to the table outside. Coffee was great as was the cappuccino. Now, for the avocado toast.. I didn't see it on the menu so I asked if it was available and the answer was yes. It's pesto spread on warm focaccia topped with avocado, olive oil, tomatoes and sprinkled with pistachios.. Epic! Highly recommended.

I had heard of this spot for a while and wanted to check it out! I went there around 7 pm and got the Caprese Sandwich. I thought that it was delicious and the portion was also big for a good price! I loved the focaccia and all the ingredients tasted fresh! I noticed that other than the sandwich, they had a lot of other vegetarian options, which I appreciate! Definitely want to go again and try one of their pasta dishes! The ambiance inside was nice and the staff were inviting and helpful!

Quick authentic Italian cuisine in a take out and small seated type environment. Got the caprese which was a great size and great pesto flavor and spaghetti which was also a great size. Very clean inside likely because it's new. Solid recommend if you're driving past the area.

Friendly staff, delicious pasta, and cute (and clean) interior. My toddler and I could've easily shared an adult meal, but glad we didn't because instead we tried the fettuccine ragu and the bianco. Both were wonderful. Looking forward to trying other menu items soon.

Warm and welcoming staff serving up some really impressive authentic Italian food!! We loved the Roman style pizza, especially after our recent trip to Italy. The sauce tasted fresh and the crust has just the right crunch. The bolognese was great and the homemade pasta was just the right amount of chew. Loved the romana salad and the portion (including chicken) was perfect to share. Loved that they offer affordable and tasty options for our kiddos, too! Already excited to return and now hoping they expand to south county!!

Sole Toscano is my favorite Italian cafe ever! The owner is clearly a pioneer, importing the finest Italian ingredients, even the fresh cheeses, for the many different menu items available at this impressively unique cafe. One of the most unique features is their commitment to a relaxing and authentic Italian experience, from the food to the music playing, combined with an "upscale" sense of great service. I've found that the real Italian staff from Italy are much better at catering to each party with this above and beyond "experience," but all of the staff are always very attentive and helpful. The authentic Italian coffee here is second to none with the best machine and the best coffee beans they harmonize with true skill and attentiveness. The California piadina is super healthy, gourmet-tasting, and a staple in our household, as is the Margherita pinsa romana (flatbread pizza), which tastes like perfection down to the herb seasoning and quality of the cheese. I plan to buy a piadina sandwich every week and freeze it to take to work because it's that good! Dining in here is a super great experience as is taking food to-go to eat at home, as there's plenty of parking at the Crossroads in Westpark.

This place opening snuck up on me, but I am never ever going to turn down a new quick-service pasta place! If this seems very similar to the previous tenant, Piadina, I heard that it has the same owners so it seems to just be a rebrand, but one I am grateful for. I do love piadinas every once in a while, but Sole Toscano has piadinas, focaccia, pizza, pasta, and more! They even have an all-day breakfast menu, meaning there is something for everyone. The first thing I noticed about the menu, besides being quite expansive, was that everything seemed fairly priced. I don't think there was a single menu item over $18! That is truly a rarity for a place that uses high quality ingredients, especially in Irvine. In my order I got a tagliatelle al ragu and a Caesar salad with chicken added. The pasta was made fresh at the location and you can tell. The meat sauce was flavorful, and the dish as a whole was super filling. It also came with two little pieces of focaccia. I was easily able to take half of my dish for leftovers. I am planning on trying their cream sauce next, especially since it's only $10! I would like to see them come out with other sauces for their pasta dishes in the future. There is a lasagna option, but when you have fresh made pasta, there needs to be more options so I can come back several times and try something new each time! The presentation of the restaurant is nice, and I loved how they had an example of many things they sold right at the counter under glass. This tactic clearly worked on me as I saw they had Nutella muffins. I am a huge fan of Nutella so I had no choice but to buy one. The muffin was okay- the muffin part was too dense for me and it did not have enough filling. However it was super kind of the place to throw in a cream filled croissant with my muffin order! I was already planning on coming back but this sealed the deal. If you're looking for some quick and high quality Italian food that is not a sit-down restaurant, this is a great spot!

Good Italian food at a good price. Tried a focaccia sandwich and the lasagna and both were good. Bread was a little dry and the lasagna was a little cold inside so I might opt for the past next time.

Went to try their family meal. It fed 4 of us easily. Good variety of food. Great for an easy family meal. Customer service was friendly and was super simple to call the order in and pick it up. Would definitely go back to try other foods.

Five stars for Sole Toscano. The pasta is fresh and well made, great for a quick meal. In my opinion, the focaccia sandwiches are the real highlight, all made with quality Italian ingredients. The staff brings an authentic, warm Italian touch to the place, and they prepare everything right in front of you. A perfect spot for lunch or a simple, quick dinner. Five stars.

Me and my fiance have come here twice so far and it has not disappointed. The service is nice and friendly, food is super fresh and delicious. We come here for the pasta and cesar and it is super fresh and authentic. Would recommend this place to anyone in area looking for pasta. It needs to be filled with more people definitely. The lady gets the generic spaghetti and it's called SPAGHETTI AL POMODORO while i get a spicy pasta (forgot the name but i think it's the only spicy one on their menu) Definitely worth a try to all the people out there

Amazing REAL ITALIAN FOOD! The guys were really nice and kindly, they also served at the table food and our drinks. Really fast service for the fresh pasta and pizzas. They make all the breads (4 types I think) in house! Minimal modern style and good music. See u soon guys

We tried Sole Toscano for the first time and we were very pleasantly surprised. I had the Pinsa** Primavera and my wife had a turkey focacchia. Mine was a vegetarian, Roman-stule pizza. The crust was thin and lightg.. There was a good quantity of cheese and black olives, red onions and bits of tomato and red pepper. It came in a six-sliced oblong shape. Enough from two people. My wife's sandwich wad huge. Half 5h3xsandwich wa a as big as some sandwiches. She found it qyitectasty. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and there is indoor and outdoor swsting.

This modern bright cafe is such a fresh and unique experience in Irvine. They truly bring casual Italian food to the neighborhood. The food is delicious, the coffee is on point but the reason I wanted to write this review is to acknowledge Alex. He is so professional and caring and passionate about this cafe. I've overheard him interview candidates and the way he cares about the business and coaches them throughout the onboarding process is such an asset to Sole Toscano. This business is lucky to have him.

I found this place since I was around the area and my husband and I wanted a quick bite, but we also wanted to sit down with minimal service. Found this on Yelp and I must say, i'm impressed! First, the service was great! initially upon arrival, we were greeted and the cashier made friendly conversation, she even complimented my ring. When our food was ready, she brought our food to our table. The Food is top tier quality, you can tell their focaccia bread is fresh as well as their ingredients (cheese, vegetables, etc). I also am a big fan of their pesto! Sooo yummy. The ambiance is airy, minimalist yet chic. they also have fresh baked pastries. Needless to say, we found a hidden gem. It's a drive from my house, but I will say it's worth the 45 minute drive.

We ordered delivery, but all the food was under sauced and dry. The pasta was over cooked. They forgot some of our dishes. When the only thing that is okay in a dinner is a salad with under flavored Italian dressing you know you are at the wrong spot. There aren't any really good Italian places in OC but his is at the bottom of my list.

Excellent food! Had the Eggplant Parmigiana- one of the best in town. My gf had shrimp pasta- excellent ad fresh!. Small place, but big taste! Definitely a must . Salad was a hit too!!

Beautiful crusty focaccia bread that came with pesto pasta. Yum! Happy to find this place and will definitely come back to try their sandwiches and other pasta dishes.

Employees are very nice! I was expecting Piandina, and was a little confused but they offered suggestions and substitutions based on what I was looking for. Ambiance is very clean with upbeat Italian music. They also have pastries, or different flavored croissant style pastries. I tried the margherita flatbread slice, loved the cheese that taste is so fresh! Sauce is sweeter but very delicious. Overall, a place you should check out.

Cozy, casual and reasonable price with good service. It used to be a branch of Italian sandwich shop and this location was recently upgraded and has more variety of meal. I've been here before upgraded and the one in Tustin market place a couple times a while ago. This time, I ordered several items and I enjoyed them. It's hard to be the first option for me since there are many choices in OC but I'd visit sometime soon. Oh the focaccia was great! I loved it.

Omg!! This cafe is amazing!! I'm a lacto vegan meaning I eat cheese. I just customized my Cesear salad with Roma tomatoes, garbanzos and mozzarella pearls. The chefs are from Italy, food freshly made and the chefs family recipes make up the menu.

We each had an Americano and a cornetto pastry. Excellence on both. The only complaint is that one of the employees was wearing a mask. I can't understand people when they cover their mouth due to an ADA condition. Additionally, it is highly unsanitary and inappropriate, unless one is sick and therefore shouldn't be in public serving food to begin with.

Just okie. I came for dinner and I got the prosciutto focaccia. The bread was tough to chew. Not enough meat in it. The pasta was better than the focaccia. The staff was extremely nice.

We came here for the first time, and enjoined the home made pasta with tomato sauce and a slice of pizza Margherita. The home made pasta is nice with a tasty tomato sauce. The slice of pizza was really good too. As a desert we had a slice of delicious pear tart. This is authentic Italian food. We will be back.

First time here and it was fantastic. We got the amatriciana, meatballs, and fettuccine al funghi. They advertise the pasta as hand made and it definitely tastes that way. Delicious. And the service was just as great. We sat outside and the manager not only brought out the food but also a pitcher of water for our family. We will be back!

Buonissimo!!! Truly an authentic fast casual Italian gem in Irvine - finally! Homemade pasta makes all the difference in the flavor of the dish and I'm so glad that's what I chose! I ordered the chef's special - fettuccine al funghi e salsiccia - it was amazing! Not only was it cooked to perfection, it had the perfect amount of mushrooms, sausage and white wine sauce. Each pasta dish is served with thin sliced focaccia bread - delish! We also ordered the fettuccine al ragu which was authentic down to the last bite. And, to start we ordered the Caesar salad and it has to be one of the best Caesars I've had in a long time! It was generously drizzled with dressing which was flavorful and rich, without being overpowering. The salad was full of croutons. cherry tomatoes and cheese and I enjoyed every last bite. Literally each dish was so genuinely good that I couldn't imagine leaving any behind. My only regret was not taking pictures of my dinner! I look forward to trying the rest of the menu soon!
