Where to Eat and Drink Near Mt. Hood, Oregon | Eater Portland

"This Parkdale brewery is not just a fun spot for inventive sours, fruit beers, and fresh hop ales; it’s one of the finest spots in the area for lunch. Cubanos, hearty bowls of chili, and sriracha powder grilled cheese sandwiches land at picnic tables around the brewery, with gorgeous mountain and orchard views. Beers are available in pints, growlers, pitchers, and tasting trays."

What’s not to love about a brewery with a view of Mt. Hood? We enjoyed a cider and an IPA while viewing Mt. Hood. The brewery has an extensive selection of beers and some food items.

What a marvelous place to have a beer and a bite to eat! This historic building built in the 1930's was originally Parkdale's one and only movie theater. There's seating upstairs, downstairs AND outside! You can look through big glass windows at the active brewery and see which beer is coming up next, even. Solera also has WAY better service than any McMenamins I've ever been to(I've been to seven). I've heard multiple people who profess to be Reuben connoisseurs say that the Solera Reuben sandwich is the best they'd ever had, hands down. The Giant Burrito with pulled pork is nothing to sneeze at either, I haven't ever eaten an entire one by myself - it's just too big.(Great to save for later, though!) I've included a pic of Solera's handmade nachos with pulled pork with this review for reference. More food pics are forthcoming! The beer selection is quite decent; there's always freshly brewed beer on tap and it's not just an assortment of differently flavored IPA's. Jason, Solera's master brewer, is almost always on hand, tending to his beer production runs. Apple cider from Double Mountain is available in bottles, and there's a short list of red and white wines - even champagne. Outside in the back there's open seating at wooden picnic tables with umbrellas or folding canopies for shade. The back yard is dog friendly(on leash), and there's an epic view of beautiful still-productive orchards, National Forest areas and of course, Mt. Hood's majestic 11,000+ foot tall expanse to the south. The surrounding land is very scenic, enjoyable and picturesque. Highly recommended, this is a great place to explore and take a load off when you need it.

Loved the views, ambience, service and drinks! Stunning! 10/10, will definitely be back again!

Google
Solera brewery is such a great spot, I feel lucky to have found it! Super dog friendly, great selection of beverages and food (although unfortunately I wasn't hungry but the menu looked great). Very friendly service and the setting and views are really hard to beat. I was too caught up in the beautiful sunshine and looking out at Mt. Hood to grab more pics, but I highly recommend this spot!

Google
A good place for lunch or refreshment in Parkdale. I would call it a moderate selection of brews and enjoyed their stout--reminiscent of the smoothness of Murphy's in Ireland. Best of all everything was well-priced, i.e. below the average now-a-days. :) Dogs are allowed in the back garden.

Google
Lovely spot with a great view of Mt Hood. Dog friendly patio area in the back. Only 4 shade canopies so it was really hot until we snagged some shade. Didn't order food but the beer was really good. Ring My Bell IPA had that fruity happy flavor I love!

Google
Always a great time to visit Solera! Rain, shine, snow, or any fun mix the PNW throws at us this is The Place to go! Delicious beers, fantastic food, stellar service, and a setting that cannot be beat. Dog friendly back patio - there’s neighborhood dogs that may be running around off leash so if you’ve got a leash reactive pup please be aware! We’ve never had any issues though and all owners and their pups have been fantastic! We love coming here on a rainy day, it’s less busy but no less gorgeous! 💜🐶💜🏔️💜🍻💜

Google
Loved this place and the back patio views of Mt Hood! It’s a historic old building that was a movie theater 1930-50s. The falafel gyro was delicious and so was the guacamole. Only about 5 tables in the back have shade but it seemed to work out okay with the flow of customers. I highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
Stopped in on a warm thursday afternoon with a group of friends-- was easy to grab a back patio table outside with an incredible mountain view. That paired with a tasty, cold pale was perfection. Didnt get to try any food, but the menu looked like it had some good varied fare to offer. Anytime i'm up around Hood, im stopping here before heading home.

Yelp
They Ran out of food at 1:30 pm. Other patrons were eating and we were seated and they didn't say anything until we asked to order.
google avatar

Mary V.

Yelp
The IPA I had here was delicious, and the view is breathtaking! I was lucky to grab a table right by the back window so I could watch the sunset colors play across Mount Hood. Even though I was hungry, I didn't eat any food because I really wanted tots or fries, and they didn't have either.

Yelp
I love this brewery in Parkdale! It represents Hood River Lyfe, with all the farms and orchards nearby, and the Marvelous view of the Mountain in the backyard! The beers are spot on! Solera Brewery hits IPA's and Sour beers out of the park! I highly recommend trying one of those types of beers, but I haven't heard any complaints form people trying other beers! Their Food is good- and if it is a busy weekend day or evening- expect about a 40 minute wait for the food to be delivered. I really like that it is "Counter Service" and you can go up and order instead of waiting for a server to come around to you. Also, if you are hungry and wait a snack while you drink beer and wait for your food order, I recommend getting a bowl of peanuts to snack on and enjoy outside! I also like how dogs are allowed on the patio- that is really nice too.

Yelp
Beautiful view ! Great food! I had the adult grilled cheese & never in my life have I ever had a more delicious grilled cheese! The staff was kind & friendly and very accommodating!

Yelp
The best view of Mt. Hood can be enjoyed sitting on a picnic table behind Solera Brewery, made even better with a cold adult beverage and a heaping plate of pulled pork nachos, on the menu as a "bowl." Took a ride to Hood River, desperate to get out of a Portland, and my condo, after four months of near isolation. Fortunately, Solera had just reopened 3 days earlier so after stops at my favorite boutiques in town, enjoying a pear lemon cider at The Gorge White House, and a stop at Packers Orchards to bring treats home, we finished our afternoon with a leisurely meal against the backdrop of a stunning view. As you enter, you check in, order and pay right at the front door. The food and beverage offering is modest, but we were here for the view! We grabbed our drink order from the bar on the way outside to the picnic table assigned by the hostess. There is no indoor seating at this time. Our food arrived promptly and not realizing how hungry we were, it was quickly devoured. Chips piled high with pulled pork, black beans, shredded lettuce and sour cream hit the spot. There was a little container of salsa to pour on top; it was too small for the size of nachos and in the previous normal, I would have gone inside and requested more. But times are different. Dogs are welcomed out back and there were a few adorable and well trained labs, malamutes and a doodle to add to the ambiance. Mount a Hood Hood was standing proudly, decked in white, contrasting against the bright blue sky with Solera's red barn in the foreground. Good food, cold adult beverages, stunning view, adorable dogs, and conversation with friends - just doesn't get any better.

Yelp
The outdoor feels like you are in Switzerland. Truly amazing ambiance. Great view of Mount Hood in the background. Their grilled cheese was quite good.

Yelp
Traveling around the Fruit Loop last weekend, my husband and I asked for some restaurant recommendations. I had several people tell me that Solera was a MUST try! Great food and beer plus one of the BEST views of Mt Hood! On the way to the brewery, we got closer and closer to the mountain and were excited to try this place! I'm in a wheelchair and was a little concerned as the front entrance did not look like we would be able to get in. I didn't see any kind of ramp; only the curb from the street and then a step to get into the actual restaurant. We pulled down the street so I could call. I asked if they had wheelchair access and they said I could go through the alley to the side and then around back. There were picnic tables out there for seating. It didn't sound like there was a way to go into the actual restaurant. We tried to go around as suggested but from the alley to the picnic tables, I would have had to go through gravel and grass, about 50 feet. Ni dice for the wheelchair. The view WAS beautiful, but sadly; we were not able to try the beer and food. I hate giving a place 3 stars since I couldn't actually dine there. However, no real wheelchair access is definitely a detriment and other customers need to know that this could be a potential issue.

Yelp
Enjoyed the pale ale and chips, salsa and guacamole. Several tables available with shade. Will come back here again.

Yelp
Have you ever dreamed of sharing a pitcher in a dreamy field of lavender, with a view of a snow-capped mountain? Then you better make sure you find your way to Solera Brewery. While Solera offers a cozy indoor bar and tap room, the game changer is the outdoor beer garden in a field of wild flowers. Simply beautiful. It's an amazing place to share a drink with family, friends or that special someone. Kids and dogs are welcome. We ordered a pitcher of the Belgian ale and it was the perfect crisp and refreshing treat for a warm day. We stopped in on our way to dinner or else I would have ordered one of their adult grilled cheese sandwiches with bacon. Oh, well! I'll have something to try next time! I'll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone passing through the area, whether they're a beer lover or not. If you're in the Hood River area, put Solera on the agenda. As a side note, I also bought a mint green tank top for $20. Can't wait to wear it!

Yelp
Best little brewery in parkdale. Usually drive over an hour there as a destination spot. Amazing in All seasons. Beer and food are great. People are friendly. Great after a snow day!
google avatar

Patti K.

Yelp
We stopped here after snowshoeing near Mt Hood. We only stopped for a few beers, and primarily so our dog could be with us. The back area is GREAT for bringing your pup! The view of Mt Hood is fantastic, and beers were really good, and there's lots of picnic tables. I could see this getting really busy and seating being difficult during certain times; but this is such a great find. The food being served around us looked *really tasty, so next time we will carve out more time for food and beer.
google avatar

Christopher M.

Yelp
So I knew I was coming here for well crafted beers but I was blown away by the friendly service and great food (cuban sandwich, burrito bowl, chili, and hummus platter: all well executed). The vibe of the interior felt like a place I could get used to spending some time with, maybe playing some games with friends. The view from the outdoor seating isn't anything to be sad about either. I could want more from the place but at that point I be nit picking or worse yet: wanting the place to be something it isn't. Found my next favorite lunch spot in the county.
google avatar

Yelp
Easily one of my favorite breweries and views in the PNW. This small brewery in a tiny town creates some great beer. It's basically a must stop whenever I find myself in the Mt. Hood area. Order a beer ,some snacks & enjoy the gorgeous view. Lacey is a sweetheart & it's always a good day whenever I get to stop at this dope little spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Highly recommend this place. Stayed in hood for the weekend and drove up here on a sunny Saturday. The staff is friendly. Place is dog friendly. Beer is great. Cuban was bomb! Stop by if you're in the area. Way better than the big companies in hood.
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
This is the place. Read about the Cuban's here and it's spot on. Food is fantastic! Simple beer menu that works, but this east coast Yankee says try the cider. Do it. Great place with outdoor seating that offers a great view of Mt Hood.....when it's sunny.
google avatar

Mary D.

Yelp
Cute spot. Gets busy. Get the fricken GRILLED CHEESE AND ADD BACON. It's better than S*X. Legit. Friendly staff and a good place to go to hang out or eat after a hike. The burrito bowl looked amazing too
google avatar

Rodolfo E.

Yelp
Great spot for great view of Mt Hood. Great local beers and wonderful snacks. A bigger cider selection and Gluten Free options would take this place over the top.
google avatar

Jordan M.

Yelp
Amazing staff, beer and space!! The ambiance is local, friendly, and community-minded. Enjoy great views of Mt Hood from the back lawn. Solera offers the full Oregon experience.

Yelp
You could smell less beer and food, and more racism in the air of this place. We were travelling back to PDX from Mt. Hood forest and were hungry, so thought of crashing at this place for a few minutes, eat and then head to our destination. We wanted this to be real quick, hence ordered a burrito and a hummus plate. No beer since both of us were going to take turns while driving. Firstly, the waitress was unfriendly to say the least. The look we got when we did not order alcohol was condemn-able - there is food on the menu, so we order food! Big deal? The way another waitress spoke to us while paying was very rude - almost like "i-dont-know-why-you-guys-are-here" kinda vibe. I wish people were more friendly in this little town with almost zero options for visitors to eat! An extra star for the outdoor seating and view of Mt. Hood but that's about it!

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
Stopped by around 2pm on a Saturday. It was busy but not terribly so. Ordered the chips and salsa which were delivered at least 30 minutes after we ordered. Our grilled cheese sandwich took another 20. We get that restaurants are understaffed but 50 minutes for a grilled cheese sandwich is pushing it.
google avatar

Bilenda V.

Yelp
The views are unbeatable and the staff is really friendly. Food is so good! The beers aren't my favorite but I can't complain.
google avatar

Samantha H.

Yelp
Sit outside, the view is beautiful! The hummas plate was a success! I do wish they would do some sort of veggie with it instead of the peppers. I feel like they didn't belong. My hubs opted for a beer and I got the peace tea + imagined it was a beer (until I pop). PS kiddos are welcome until 7pm.
google avatar

Erin F.

Yelp
We loved the selection of beers. The food was also amazing! We got the adult grilled cheese and the large bean burrito with pulled pork and both were delicious! We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view of Mt Hood. We had our 4 kiddos with us (age4-9) and we played games outside on the tables while enjoying chips and salsa and complimentary popcorn.
google avatar

Jean M.

Yelp
Seriously do you want to business ? Upon arrival (wearing masks and social distancing) we were treated poorly like they hated their job. After seated we waited almost an hour for presses sandwiches uncut and unapologetic. The sandwiches were good but the wait staff were rude and unwelcoming. I manage a restaurant and understand the challenges at this time. I would never return here again as the way were treated is unacceptable. Word of mouth goes a long way. If I owned this place I would re-evaluate the staff.
google avatar

Rodney A.

Yelp
Stopped here for food during our Parkdale stop on the Western Train Robbery train ride from Hood River. I had the Guest Cider and had the Bacon & Turkey sandwich and everything was delicious; and the back patio Mountain View was gorgeous! I definitely recommend stopping here if you take the train ride or are in town for any reason.
google avatar

Martha P.

Yelp
Good beer, tasty food and can't beat the view! On a sunny day in the Gorge, it's hard to have a better experience than sitting out back at Solera with a clear view of Mt. Hood. It's a stunning view in a relaxed atmosphere, with much fresher fare than typically pub food. We enjoyed robust quinoa salads and happily sipped our tasty pints in the warm sun. We would definitely return again!
google avatar

Casey A.

Yelp
Solera is a great brewery, but the little known gem of this place is their Cuban sandwich. I've spent some time in southern Florida and had some amazing, authentic Cuban sandwiches there. I've also tried many times in Oregon to find a decent version of this iconic sandwich and I can say without a doubt, Solera makes the best Cuban in Oregon. I recently had to give up eating bread and as much as I hate to do so, I nowadays order the Cuban sans bread and it's STILL delicious!
google avatar

A K.

Yelp
This is our favorite brewery. It has an incredibly relaxed dog friendly grassy patio outside with a with a crazy good view of Mt. Hood. The beer is fantastic as are the staff and patrons. Its surrounded by orchards. There is no other place like it!
google avatar

Barbara H.

Yelp
It appears to be the only brewery in town, hence the three stars. However, the food leaves much to be desired and there is really no table service. You order at bar and bus your table. View out the back is great. They have a burrito bowl that is really not so great nachos.
google avatar

Steve R.

Yelp
Of course the views are one of the city of Parkdale's best features. And at Solera you are front and center to the mountain. Any season, it won't matter. The food and beer selection here is modest and simple, just like the town. Small crafted, locally made, IPAs and farmhouse ales. Burritos and salads. Live music most weekends. If you take the Mt Hood railroad up here, this is a must visit before the train heads back.
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
Apparently this brewery has been open for almost a year? Where the hell have I been? What is my EXCUSE? I stopped in here after a day of teaching some mountaineering skills up on Hood. I decided to the long way home and shoot some star shots of Mt Hood. I loaded up my phone and apparently there was a BREWERY close to my location? I hit "navigate" not expecting there to be an actual brewery and, sure enough, *BOOM* there it was. Like a City on the Hill (thanks for the phrase Puritans, RIP). I walked in and ordered a beer. It was probably pretty obvious that I had never been here before, and everyone made me feel at home. The bartender was very nice and the brewer sat next to me and we chatted it up about brewing for over an hour...and it was a GOOD chat, the kind you have with someone and think "we're going to be good buds someday". It didn't hurt that our tastes in beer and hops and landscapes (PacNW till the day I DIE) were pretty similar. Their IPA and Cascadian Dark were very good. And they had one of my all-time favorite beers (Boneyard IPA) on as a guest tap. If I lived in Parkdale (I wish), I'd be here every day. As it stands, I'll be back soon. Gotta see that gorgeous North Face in the summer :) The view here is worth at least a million dollars, unlike that *other* brewery on the *opposite* side of the mountain.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
After our perfect snowboarding day at Meadows we decided to drive the long route home just so we could stop at Solera Brewery for a pint. When we go to breweries I usually order espresso stouts or pilsners. Solar Brewery didn't have either of those two but the bartender did recommend their Weather Witch Farmhouse Ale. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it was and it introduced me to something other than stouts and pilsners. The blonde ale was perfect for me to sip on whilst taking in the gorgeous view of Mt. Hood. Seriously, look at those photos. The bartenders were laid back but also attentive. They offered complimentary popcorn but we preferred to just sit there and drink and take in the view until it was time for us to leave. The next time we return it'll be warmer and we'll have our friends with us. It's too good not to share.
google avatar

Michael V.

Yelp
This place is very cool. You cannot take anything away from their view. Just fantastic. The beer is also very good and the food is good but limited. The only thing that needs a little attention is the lack of shade in the back courtyard. If you are out and about in the Mt Hood area it is well worth a look see.
google avatar

Ben C.

Yelp
Cozy little brewery within a 30 minute drive of hood river, this place is definitely worth the drive. plenty of outdoor seating in the middle of an apple orchard with gorgeous views of mt hood. The beer is solid for such a small operation. Tried the hedonist IPA which was a well balanced IPA not too hoppy, crisp and easy drinking. The "Concord World" is a must try for any sour beer enthusiast. Very bold sour bite with plenty of funky undertones that compliment the sweet grape very well. The pulled pork burrito was surprisingly delicious and at $9, a good value. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
I've been to Solera once, on a really beautiful Sunday afternoon (literally drove from Portland just to hang out at Solera then drive back). I would definitely go out of my way to be there on a nice day, but would be less excited if the weather isn't good. I didn't have any of the service or food issues mentioned by others - we only ordered beer and went up to the bar to get it. I thought the service was friendly. While there we tried three beers (this was a few months ago so my memory is a little hazy - I'm blaming it on the time and not the alcohol). My favorite was the apple blossom which was very crisp and refreshing, with a nice mellow fruitiness. We also tried the framboise, which I liked, and a kefir lime beer, which wasn't quite my speed. All that aside, the view from Solera is breathtaking. They have an outdoor area (grassy field behind the brewery that has been roped off) that extends into a big grassy meadow, with Mt. Hood towering just beyond. It is really peaceful and relaxing, and a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
google avatar

Gary A.

Yelp
Amazing view. Kid and dog friendly - lots of both running around. Very friendly crowd. Oldies music. Free popcorn. Mediocre beer.
google avatar

April G.

Yelp
Bad service and NOT kid friendly. Unfortunately our server was unfriendly (blonde waitress) and would barely let us finish our food before kicking us just after 7pm since we had a kid. Then wouldn't even let us walk around the property anytime after 7 PM. Overall, pretty good beer though and great view.
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
Great view at sunset of my.hood def a place worth going to on a summer night . Free popcorn. Good beer selection. Good prices.

Emily M.

Yelp
The food is good, the view is exceptional, the hipster older lady waitress/server with the tattoos all over her legs-condescending bummer. According to her, and she will correct you if you ask for nachos (her exact words were: there has never been anything named that here) these are a gluten free burrito.
google avatar

Beerboy M.

Yelp
Very good place to get a beer with a view of Mt. Hood and Parkdale's orchards. They excel at sours and tend toward IPAs and sours. 2 sours and a tart boysenberry porter were on tap when we visited, along with an IPA, a double IPA, and an ISA, a saison, and a guest cider. They have a decent interior, and a great outdoors. Very kid friendly until 7pm when they are no longer allowed and dog space out back. Nice service, and you have to order at the bar. Didn't try the food, but what was coming out of their tiny kitchen looked decent enough to soak up their beer.
google avatar

Chai S.

Yelp
Beautiful view of Mt Hood and great food! I really liked the green curry. Tons of vegetarian and vegan options. Can't comment on the beer because I didn't drink any but they have a good selection of local brews and my friends enjoyed most of them! 1 star off because t took an hour for our food. Definitely come here for the view!

Yelp
When I was contemplating moving to Portland some 13 years ago or so, my friend Jason and went on an overnight backpacking trip to Mt. Hood. And on Sunday, on our way home, we drove through Parkdale. There was a little pub there, staffed by Oregon granolas. They had some beers on tap and food. Burritos and such if memory serves. And they had a patio out back where you could sit and drink. And that view from that patio is one of the most spectacular, warm, inviting, pastoral landscapes in the Pacific Northwest. It overlooks a farm, and behind it, acres and acres of apple orchard--the trees pink and white with gorgous apple blossoms. And behind those orchards Mt. Hood looms large. It consumes most of the skyline. The angle is roughly Northwest, so the Eliot glacier and the north face gullies figure prominently. It's dumbfoundlingly beautiful. It feels like drinking beer in an Akira Kurosawa film. I fell in love with this view, and with this pub. It's one of the things that ultimately sold me on moving to Portland. Then that pub eventually closed down. How very sad... But now it's open again! And they're not only serving beer out there in Parkdale. They're BREWING beer out in Parkdale. It's now the Solera Brewery. And the patio and the view are the same and as gorgeous as ever. I was there this weekend and the apple blossoms are in full bloom. What a glorious time to be in Parkdale for a beer! The beers are pretty decent, although as someone accustomed to PNW hop bombs, I found the IPA to read more like a pale ale (not hoppy enough). The smoked porter was much closer to style. The food is still more or less hippie fare. I had fajitas and tortilla soup, and rather than having those familiar Mexican flavors it tasted, well, like hippie food. But it's still very muchable and tastey. They also have a popcorn machine there, and you can eat free bowls of popcorn with your beer. Everyone is super friendly and inviting. I am so happy brew-fueled mountain gazing is back! Thank you Solera Brewery!

Andrew M.

Yelp
Love this place. Every time I come through Parkdale I stop for a growler fill and some grub. Pita/hummus platter is great. So are the salads and the adult grilled cheese. Recently had their red lava bed ale and it was awesome.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
I Still go here only for the views. We Miss the previous ownership. The folks that run the show Now do not have a concept of customer service. However the prices are super reasonable for great food ...probably because you have bus your own tables. The previous ownership allowed parking in the back with fabulous mountain views. Parking is now cut off and at a minimum. The views are worth the lacking service.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
Twice I have ventured to Solera, located about 20 miles south of Hood River in Parkdale. Once was in winter, the next late summer. The second visit was by far the best, as I learned that Solera maintains a back yard with a stunning view of Mt. Hood. That would explain the crowd, who were there probably not only for the beer, but also the bluegrass band. Their beers are good. The peche cuvee is my personal favorite. The food, I should add, is also quite good. The real attraction here though is the view, and isolation of a small charming town that few would ever think to stop by. Yet, many do. And I can see why. My guess is Solera must be awesome when the cherry trees have blossoms. I'll find out next spring.
google avatar

Jen G.

Yelp
Kid friendly with the best view of Mt Hood that I've seen from the back tables. God chili and grilled cheese. Kids love the fee popcorn. Great stop after a day on the mountain.

Yelp
Solera Brewery was our first brewery stop on this day out at the Fruit Loop. There is never a time that a beer doesn't sound like a good thing to Sue and I. Doesn't mean we drink constantly. We just enjoy good beer and love finding small and local places in towns like this. It definitely felt like a local crowd here on a Saturday afternoon. With the weather being the way it was (rainy and drabby) it certainly seemed to push people indoors. It is too bad as Solera talks about their killer views of Mt. Hood from their back patio. It looked like a nice back patio, but nobody was sitting out there on this day. We grabbed a few seats at the bar and were told that if we wanted to sample anything that we could. We each sampled a few and decided on what we wanted. Sue had one of their popular offerings that apparently is only offered for a limited time. The Chubby Bunny is a Double Fresh Hopped IPA and is fairly strong at 9.5% ABV. Not as hoppy as you would think. I had their 2012 Kriek which was made with local Lappin cherries. This was served in a 10 oz glass as this style usually is. Aside from the killer amount of fruit flies buzzing around we really enjoyed our time here. The bartenders were super friendly and the space was quite comfortable. A former movie theater, it still held some of the charm (including some of the light fixtures) from those bygone days.
google avatar

Nina M.

Yelp
I can see why this place is popular with the locals, there is a beautiful view of Mount Hood in the yard. We came here for a beer and light dinner while staying in town for a night. Solera was recommended by our hostess and also it was the only business open after 8 p.m. in the immediate area. The service was TEDIOUSLY slow. It seemed like most people were locals and many knew the bartenders/servers. I felt like my partner and I were definitely given some curios stares by the locals, since I presume everyone knows each other here. It took a LONG time to get the waitress's attention to take our order (you had to order the food from her). Then it took a moderate amount of time to get our order. TAKEAWAY: Try the burrito (add on pulled pork for $2). It is GIANT and really yummy. Good for 2 people.
