Busy spot with plenty of seats, both casual style with low coffee table up to counter seats with high table suited those in-need of working space. Opting for something hot this time, I got their Sea Salt Sycamore, which supposedly served my latte with maple syrup and sea salt. I mentioned supposedly as I could barely savor any of them and it felt like common latte. Thankfully the coffee itself was great, so prolly worth another next time for other menu.

This place is amazing and delicious. The owner has a warehouse in Downey where he roasts the coffee beans and makes his own signature blends. As well as The syrups and sauces they make fresh in house. Very gourmet. The inside of the coffee house is very charming and well decorated. Lots of room for large parties. Although I didn't eat anything. I was super impressed with the baked goods and other food. I will definitely go back and this time I will make room for a chocolate croissant. My husband had the purple dream drink. I had the creme brulee latte. Both were so delicious 😋. This place is packed because it's so popular. Give yourself a few extra minutes to find parking. 🫶

First time at this place, though I’m in this area a lot, I finally had a chance to stop by and I ordered the Crème Brû-Latte it’s their house made caramel latte with torched brown sugar sweet cream. Love the art foam work and this tasted great! This place is a nice sized coffee shop with plenty of indoor seating. Very calm ambiance to study or just relax with friends to have small conversations. The staff is friendly, and fast with their service.

Cute place. Drinks were good, just expensive. Cloud Fire Brew is very bitter if that's your style. Peppermint Mocha was good, the mint taste wasn't too strong. Creme Brulee Latte is very milky. Strawberry Matcha Latte was really good and sweet. Not too much matcha.

This place is awesome! I stayed in the area for a few days and made this my go-to coffee shop while visiting. The folks who work here are really nice and gave great drink recommendations. I was happy with the coffee drinks that I tried, and I thought the food was delicious as well. I’m glad I got to support this wonderful local business while I was here!

I’ve been going to this place since 2018. I’ve moved away and every time I come to visit, I always stop by and get something. This time around they have special matcha menu. I’ve tried a bunch and I love them all. The most delicious one is the Matcha Monkey. It’s matcha latte with a tad of homemade banana syrup. I love it!

Walking in there was a chill and welcoming atmosphere that was nicely complimented by the baristas' attitudes. I ordered a hot latte and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of the coffee. Along with the coffee I ordered their fancy ham and cheese sandwich which came with a free bag of chips and it was delicious. On top of all this, the baristas bring the food and coffee to your table. I highly recommend this spot for a quick bite, coffee, or even a spot to sit and finish up some work.

I was looking for a quick coffee & this spot was literally its name…”Solid.” I had their honey oat milk latte on ice. It was not too sweet, just the right amount of strength and it was delicious overall. I highly recommend it. This was a great coffee spot and I’d love to try their other menu items.

Coffee is solid here not trying to be funny at all. They roast delicious coffee beans and serve good quality espresso drinks. I was really bummed when they closed down their location in Bellflower. It was my go to spot on the weeks that I was at the hospital. Today I was excited to try the purple dream ube latte. This is made with ube extract not that fake plasticity stuff. Daniel the barista made the perfect drink for me. I really appreciated him for stopping to make make sure that I was happy with my drink. I wanted it less sweet and he got it spot on. Thank you Daniel! There was a pop-up called Sunkissed bakery today. I love when they collaborate with other local businesses. Keep that sh*t up!

Came to this place purposely to get a mug of coffee with "coffee art" on it I explained this to the cashier & the barista dude. Yet they give me a to go cup. I told the barista guy that heard me before that it was actually a mug & all he says is "awwww next time I got you" Next time ? This was my 1st time coming & now it will be the last. There was a lot of people around when he said it so it was very embarrassing because I wasn't about to argue with him about it in front of all kinds of people. If the order is not right, make it right. Simple. & I tipped !

*Coffee Shops Challenge #2 My buddy and I are trying a new coffee specialty shops at least once a month. He chose Solid Coffee Roasters and glad he did! We came in around 9am and didn't leave until 2pm! Times flies by quickly when you enjoy great coffee, food, and the company! Located in a small shopping center. This coffee roaster that sells their coffee bean and coffee drinks. They also have a small menu of breakfast and pastries items. I opted in and order the $5 breakfast sando with a cup of Peppermint mocha latte. Peppermint mocha is sometimes a hit or miss for me. Especially when they use an unpopular brand of syrup, it tastes very artificial. The Barista recommended me to try theirs because he said the make their own mocha syrup. He was right, it was delicious! The coffee was also was very smooth. I will consider by a bag of the coffee bean next time I go. The breakfast to my surprise was above average. The ciabetta bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My friend ordered the Vanilla Bean Latte and the Fancy Ham and cheese sandwich. He said it was delicious as well. I liked their dishes and coffee cup they use. I believe your coffee and food will taste better if it's served in a beautiful dishes, lol! Love the artistic side to that. Already looking forward to my next visit!

UPDATE: love this coffee shoppe, but i stopped by to grab coffee today and it was absolutely chaos inside! waited for 30 minutes for coffee and i was not the only one. the staff is very nice but they are ambushed by the weekend crowds, and they can only handle so much at a time. solid coffee owners if you see this: please hire more staff!!! on the weekends there are only 2 people working here and they are overwhelmingly busy. its unacceptable.

I've been here a couple of times and I really love this place. They have many options for drinks and the service has always been so very kind. It's a very spacious place to go with friends or to work. They have lots of tables and it's fairly quiet. Definitely a place worth checking out in the area for coffee.

If you're looking for a solid spot for coffee in Artesia definitely check them out! Their coffee beans are roasted in-house daily in Downey and shipped to this store! They have plenty of seating inside with good amount of parking in the plaza. They have a new food menu featuring their breakfast sandwich and a variety of other options! Here's what I tried: - Breakfast sandwich - Fancy Ham & Cheese - Chicken Romesco The sandwiches were all good but my favorite was the fancy ham & cheese because I loved the gooey mix of melted Parmesan, Gruyère, and Swiss cheeses. They also have seasonal autumn drinks like their harvest chai latte and a pumpkin spice latte which were both pretty tasty but definitely on the sweeter side. Overall a solid spot I'd recommend trying!

Came by to try their Croffles, but unfortunately, I came in when the kitchen was closed. Instead, I tried their Almond croissant and Dark Chocolate Mocha. The almond croissant had a nice buttery filling and a soft flaky texture to it. Made for an excellent dunking experience. Looking forward to returning and trying their Matcha and Strawberry Croffles.

Great coffee , this place is super knowledgeable about their beans. Space has a very chill environment as well.

Extremely quality food and drinks here. There is even a yelp check in pastries at times. I like to sit here with my manager almost mornings. There are plenty of electricity and a clean bathroom. Never a problem with parking. A pastry and coffee will normally be $20 per people but you are receiving the best quality for this amount. Thank you Solid Coffee Roasters for always a lovely time.

One time wasn't enough. Stopped by this morning before driving to the Bay Area for one last fix of cappuccino and honey oat coffee! Yes, I loved it that much haha. Decided to click a picture for posterity! The coffee and the clean, solid interiors.

Cute coffee shop with some great ambiance! Drinks are a bit pricey for what you get, but I wouldn't say it's enough to stop me from coming back again. Plenty of seating with access to outlets so you can get work done if that's what you're looking for. Servers were all friendly and we even got our drinks brought to us, which was a nice touch! As for the drinks themselves, they were all solid (no pun intended) :) Definitely a great option to consider if you're in the area.

Didnt think they would be open on xmas eve but yay! I was happy to see they had matcha so i got a hot matcha latte with some vanilla. Perfection! My dad got a creme bru-latte and he really enjoyed it and my mom got a gingerbread latte which is her fave. The guy behind the counter was VERY nice & welcoming and it looks like they have food too. They have merch you can buy. Its a cute coffee shop environment with a good amount of seating. Parking not terrible & bathrooms. Cant wait to come back!

Right when you walk in, you get greeted immediately. : ) Service was fantastic - fast and friendly. I got the strawberry matcha and it was very good. Inside is clean. Plenty of parking. Would definitely come back again and if you're in the neighborhood, I would recommend.

It was a cute coffee shop with good seating and a calm yet fun ambiance. Wish there were more table seating though. The coffee is good, but pricey, which is suspected for coffee shops such as this one. Customer service is nice!

Our decision to go to Solid Coffee rested entirely on the other place we were considering not having hot drinks! I thought the barista was going to be a typical Gen Xer, but no thankfully! Very warm and friendly and knowledgeable about his product. We got holiday themed drinks - Creme Brû-latte and Gingerbread latte and they were very delicious! Even had a design in the foam. Minimalist interior that was clean and attractive. I would highly recommend!!

Love this place on a quiet Sunday morning. Really good vibe inside. They really upped their decor and furniture of the place since the last time I've been about a year ago. Good coffee and pastries options. The guys are really friendly and knowledgeable. Service was exceptional and the design of the cups and menu are A1. They really care about the design of the space, they even chose nice hardware for those purse holders under the bar. I notice Solid design when I see it, pun intended

Upon Walking very empty. By the time I got.my laptop and.food it was getting busy. The customer services 4/5 Food I ordered a croissant -Average The Music 4/5 Cleanliness 5/5 The Quietness 5/5 The Drinks 3/5 I ordered the Vanilla Bean Latter to quite honest I did t see much of a difference than Starbucks. Such cute amenities lotions,and t-shirts. Now I hardly give 5 Stars but today I will , I forgot my cashier tenders name on Sunday AM @9:30am on 7/21/24 Please salute him and kudos My Oatmeal, l now I enjoyed and Devoured I know what you are going to say. But Maybe it's because I didn'take.it and it was so many in Season fruits.

Amazing coffee and amazing pastries. The barista Daniel provided excellent customer service and explained the menu items thoroughly since it was my first time there. He should get a raise forsure. Vanilla latte was perfect and the pastries were even better. Overall, excellent coffee and excellent service. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend EVERYONE check out this coffee shop.

After coming her a handful times over the last few years, thought it would be apt to provide a lovely review of Solid Coffee Roasters in Artesia. We stopped by on a chill Veteran's Day afternoon to grab some coffee beans and of course some coffee! Note - 5 star reviews for me is like getting 95+/100 in OChem so just cause somewhere gets 4 stars, doesn't mean they aren't great! Inside 4/5 Very clean and neat place with plenty of seating. I appreciate the simple design and open space where it doesn't look too open, but you aren't crowded either. My only qualm is that the seats aren't that comfortable and there aren't any outlets I could identify. Perhaps intentional? If so, great design management to keep the crowds moving in and out. Staff 5/5 Coming from LA which has a mixed bag of hipster snob to overly kind folk, I appreciate the authenticity of the staff that helped us today. In particular, we were in-between two drinks - Sea Salt Sycamore and Cloud Fire Brew - which the barista rattled off the ingredients with complimentary adjectives. However, what got me sold on the Sea Salt Sycamore was that the barista mentioned he was addicted to it for a year when it released! So ended up getting the Sycamore and my lady got the Cloud Fire. Very happy with our choices~ Coffee 4/5 As I mentioned above, I got the Sea Salt Sycamore and my lady got the Cloud Fire Brew. The Sycamore is a mixed latte, which if you are sensitive to sweetness I recommend going half sweet. I enjoyed the balance of the drink (probably because it wasn't too sweet) and the subtle maple + sea salt notes. The Cloud Fire Brew (cool name btw) tasted like ice cream! The wood fire salt + foam really makes a difference. Overall 4/5 TL;DR - Clean, neat interior; wish they had comfier chairs and some outlets - Great friendly staff that appear to enjoy their work (great IG content as well) - Recommend Sea Salt Sycamore (half sweet) and Cloud Fire Brew

Favorite coffee shop. Drinks are always good and they care about what they are serving their customers. I always get the honey oat latte and sometimes vanilla bean lattes. This is a nice place to come do work and sip your coffee. Sometimes seems like they get backed up on orders and forms a small line. Overall a great place to get some SOLID good coffee. They also closed the mini solid at steel craft in bellflower.

This place is my favorite. It gets crowded on Sundays, which it should but the service is still great. I'm pretty simple with my drinks so I only always order the Ethiopian. This place is also a good space to study or get work done. Not too loud.

This place is so wonderful, very "SOLID"! Very crowded on a weekend morning, but a good amount of seating. If you check in, they give a free 8 oz house brew (Yelp) We got the Dark Chocolate Mocha latte and a house brew. Both were very good! Dark Chocolate Mocha was not too sweet - reminds me of the Ancient Mayan from Coffee Connection (in West LA). Very balanced and just delight in a cup. House brew was a good balance of bitter and sour. Service, despite being so busy, was very nice. Would definitely come back!

Service fast and welcoming I drove in from Downey and it was so worth the drive. Bathroom clean. My iced Americano was excellent. Will return next time I have a meeting in Downey

I prefer for my coffee to be less sweet, and the vanilla bean latte had perfectly roasted espresso, balanced with a subtle sweet vanilla. I asked the staff (didn't catch their names) for recommendations and they were extremely helpful, and genuinely excited to share about the coffee which was so nice to see! The ambience is warm and inviting. Solid coffee roasters is located a plaza with plenty of parking. I'm excited to come back and try more! I'm interested in their plum tea drinks next.

Best cafe in LA county and possibly Socal. Period. Stop. They use house made syrups people! Not that nasty Torani or Monin. Because of this their lattes and coffee tastes are elevated. Their food options are great. Super friendly staff and great atmosphere. This place is a hidden gem of socal.

My low key measure of a great coffee spot is a good black drip and chocolate chip cookie. They hit all the marks. Their house drip (Ethiopia) will punch you in the face with bright flavor notes and their chocolate chip cookie was chewy and abundant - copious choco chips spread almost like a layer the whole way through and slight crisp to some of the edges. The team was knowledgeable and passionate about the menu which was nice. Shout out to Jason for the tips on which beans are worth a pour over and for the excellent Honey Oat Latte! Perfect pick if you want to taste the roast but are feeling sweet. Shout outs to Allison too, for being super welcoming and the tip on free house refills of the drip. Definitely a great place to post up and get things done.

I've gone here for several years. Love the service, the amount of seating and that they have a bathroom. Sucks meeting friends for tea/coffee and then there's no where to go. I like the London Fog, Chai and Hot Chocolate. I sound like my teenager. He also likes their croissants. Unfortunately they only have vegan options and nothing gluten free, which is fine with me. I especially love their single serve coffee tea bag's. They make great gifts so I order from time to time.

I went in to the coffee shop to kill some time in between seeing patients. The AC was on full blast and I was freezing but its hot out so I could understand why. I ordered a hot honey latte and it wasn't too sweet or foamy and it was enjoyable. If you order to drink at the location you will receive glass cups. The service was quick and friendly. The girl who took my order was kind and observant as the complimented my book and status. Hope to be in the area again to have some more coffee. I came here because the coffee shop across the street did not have good parking so it was a pleasant find.

Solid Coffee Roasters in Artesia is an absolute gem! The Chicken Romesco sandwich is a standout--perfectly balanced with juicy chicken and savory romesco sauce on fresh, high-quality sourdough. The cornichons add a sharp, tangy kick that elevates every bite when eaten together. The lox and bagels are another must-try, with capers enhancing the rich salmon and ikura without overpowering the flavors--no fishy or overly salty taste here, just pure perfection. And the matcha latte? Incredibly well made, smooth, and creamy. Overall, the whole experience was a total wow, from food to ambiance! Amazing customer service that is so wholesome and welcoming!

I visited this place twice, the first time was a good experience, the second time was just ok. I'm giving it a 4 stars because the flavor of the strawberry matcha and sea salt sycamore was pretty good. So, where I'm knocking down points comes down to a few things. Service was ok. You can clearly tell they are understaffed and the guy who took my order (who was there on my second visit), didn't seem that warm or welcoming. I asked what the sea salt sycamore was, and he gave a really brief response that didn't seem all too enthusiastic. Maybe that's how he is or he's tired, but I just didn't think he was all that friendly and inviting. There was also no one behind us so he could've taken time to go over the menu since we're clearly first timers. However, I did let it go because of how fast our drinks came out and how they tasted. I'm a matcha girlie and I enjoyed the strawberry matcha, which had a decent matcha and subtle strawberry flavor. I also liked that the drink wasn't too sweet. So, the second time I went is where I knocked down the points. I had made an online order for 4 drinks, and ended up having to wait for almost 40 mins for it and it would've been longer if I hadn't gotten up to inquire about it. I had already been in the store and waiting a good amount of time. At the time, the same guy who took my order the first time I went there was training someone. A couple ladies with kids who came into the store after me had their orders taken and their drinks were made quickly, and I had wondered about my order since clearly, I had made the order way in advance. When I went up to the guy, he looked over at his other tablet for online orders and finally noticed my order had been sitting there. He appeared very nonchalant about not seeing it. He did apologize and I didn't make a fuss, but it just didn't sit right with me with how he didn't seem to be concerned about it (at least that's what it felt to me). He was likely distracted training the girl and completely forgot about the online orders. And when I got my order, the sea salt sycamore tasted the same as before, very good with a strong coffee flavor, but the banana latte was disappointing. It barely had any banana flavor as opposed to other places like Phin Smith. Overall, I think the service here could be a little better and so I hope with more staff, small but important details don't get overlooked. I actually would like to see this place grow as I support local businesses over places like Starbucks or Coffee Bean. Despite some of the mishaps, the vibe and location of this place is good. Plenty of parking and the place has a chill ambiance. I'd probably come back again just to check out the food, but hopefully the things I had issues with improve by then.

What a great spot ! Came in the morning and got the Savannah iced tea and Lux Lox Bagel and it was so good! Food is delicious and the black tea was very good and refreshing. The guy working was super nice and he brought out the food to me and checked back in on how everything was. Very good service and super chill spot to study or hang out.

SOLID COFFEE IS SOLIDLY GREAT! Anytime I can go to a local coffee shop and avoid the Green Mermaid I do. This place is great, it's in a small center off South Street in Artesia near Cerritos. What I love is they have pop ups all the time on the weekends that I get messages about. Lately Saturday is a breakfast burrito pop up and Sunday is a Hawaiian food pop up. Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to try the food yet but I look forward to trying it soon. Today I got an Iced Honey Oat Latte, it was solid ;) not too sweet, and not bitter.

This the second Solid Coffee location we've been too and I'm happy to say it is just as good :) We ordered a Honey Oat Latte & Cortado... Both drinks were excellent especially the latte. It was smooth with a pleasantly sweet flavor. Since they roast their own beans it's no wonder how good their coffee is. The shop is nice and roomy with plenty of places to sit and enjoy your drink or study/read. It is neat & clean and staffed with friendly baristas' :) It is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking.

Let me start with a good impression of the place. Very clean, or was it because it was still early. The service was fast considering the barista was by himself. I ordered the dark chocolate mocha latte. It was a good blend of bitter-sweet! Yes, cuz i don't like my coffee sweet. My only concern... 1 cup is not enough for me. Will surely come back.

Probably the best, strongest coffee in the area; they also white label and roast for alot of the local coffee spots nearby so you might just be getting it from here and didn't know it. They have a small offering of pastries and merch if you are so inclined. There signature house is my goto when you need to get up and go!

What can I say, this place is really a SOLID place for coffee. Good coffee, food, atmosphere, and friendly staff here. Got myself a cold brew and lox bagel during my visit and I really enjoyed it. I can see myself coming here again.

One of the few coffee places you can sit and study at and they won't blast AC to get you to leave faster. Coffee/drink quality and offerings are on par with other high rated coffee places in the area, mocha is my go to. Place is clean and tries to offer as much seating as it can comfortably hold. Workers are nice and offer water. Wifi details are written on the glass. They also serve some baked goods they can warm up for you, though the everything croissant I got (otherwise yummy) had overwhelming chunks of cream cheese in it, so maybe avoid that one. They occasionally have fun food collaborations, if you join their rewards program you'll get texts about those, or ask! Enjoy!

I'm sad it took me this long to discover Solid Coffee Roasters! I've been to Cerritos for years and all the coffee shops are typically so small and packed and hard to find tables but it was not the case here. This unassuming coffee shop had an abundant amount of space and outlets. Perfect for catching up or working. I love their honey oat latte because it wasn't too sweet and the matcha latte definitely hit the spot too! The service was also amazing and definitely loved my time there.

Don't think I've done a review for this place but. We come here every once in awhile. And their classic vanilla is a go to. Today we tried the sea salt caramel and we liked it. Def a place to come to and you know it'll hit the spot. Staff are friendly and answer your questions. Ambiance is nice a quiet and you can study inside if needed.

The coffee was really good I ordered an iced espresso with oat milk, lavender sweetener, and strawberry cold foam. It's hard to find good coffee that isn't watered down this place was good and the seating options were really nicer

I tried Solid coffee one time only before I tried it again (not sure if that made any sense). The first time I came I felt a bit intimidated by the gentleman behind the register so I did not feel so comfortable. I am not sure if it was his aura or what haha but he didn't seem quite friendly to me. The smile seemed fake. I came back another time because I wanted to give it another chance. The lady behind the register was a lot nicer. She helped me decide on what to order and even asked me if I was ok with the whole milk or wanted a substitute. I ordered their iced latte and a vanilla latte for my husband. She was a bit slow to make it (I was the only order she had to make and it took awhile to make both our drinks) not sure if she was new. It was very good though! I loved their espresso. I even came back the next day to try their honey oat latte which was also good. The lady who worked the next day I came was nice enough to let me taste their oat milk prior to ordering it. Excellent customer service now! Next time I might try their teas. The place gets pretty crowded so sometimes there might not be a seat available for you. They also have small food selections and pastries. I will definitely be coming back here!

Upon entering, was greeted right away and I was amazed how spacious it was in there. Such a clean and nicely designed space. Plenty of seating! Love the options for coffee/tea or beer! Was happy to see our local beer being sold here (ambitious ales) a plus for that I had to go with one of their specials which was the Kyoto, Hoji matcha; very delicious with great flavor! My husband got the vanilla bean latte which also had good flavor. Would def make another trip out to try more drinks! Elizabeth was super friendly and helpful when making our decision.

Today and usually on weekdays, Chris the barista is consistently making the best tasting drinks. I was there over the weekend and the baristas preparing the drinks are never consistent. Sometimes the drinks are really flavorful, and other times it's a bland coffee flavor... so whenever others are serving I tend to order just a cold brew, because you can't get that wrong!

Okay updateeee ive now tried the sea salt sycamore and its so good. I think why ive been obsessed with this place recently is because i love coffee that is mildly sweet and you can actually taste the coffee and i feel alot of places dont do that its usually just to milky or way to sweet. With the vanilla bean and the sea salt sycamore they're the perfect balance for me since im not a fan of super sweet things but also dont want a coffee thats too bitter. Highly recommend checking this place out.:)))

Simply the best local roasted coffee!!! Traveled to many states and tried varieties of different local fresh roast including NYC and DC. Haven't found anything better than SOLID. Every coffee lover should give this a try! Their best Ethiopia beans are not always available though but Brazil is still ahead of the league!

Solid is my go to coffee spot to study with good music and plenty of places to work and friendly staff. But when they introduced the new food menu I was apprehensive to order because rarely is a sandwich good from a good coffee place. I stand corrected as this chicken Romesco Sandwich hit the spot and was quite delicious . I'm excited to try their other offerings! Definitely filled solidified it's spot as the perfect place to work because you can stay caffeinated and don't even have to leave for a quick bite because it's all offered in one spot!
