SOLID Rooftop Brunch Restaurant

Stayed in the hotel over New Year's and booked here last minute for a NYE dinner. They switched me to 7pm rather than 8pm due to capacity however it was still half empty when I was still here at 9.30pm. The staff are absolutely phenomenal, dedicated and professional to their role and company. The wine pairing to each course was explained with interest. The food tasted fantastic. Portion wise the main was tiny whereas the starters/sharing was generous. I enjoyed myself and the staff here are amazing.

It is an upscale establishment with prices higher than average, but the service is reasonable. The venue has a lovely ambiance and a great view of the city, or at least part of it. It's not big and it has the recommended by Michelin 2023 sign. The food was somehow good, but lower than expected from such a place that claims a high image. By trying to upgrade and make dishes more special, it creates some less-than-ideal results. The American pancakes have a sour ginger syrup that should be on the side, as it's a bit off the standards. The eggs were over-runny, again, which should be communicated since it's not such a standard. Surprisingly, the 15% added service at the end, and then you are asked to put even more as a tip, so this is not a great practice. Ultimately, you end up paying a lot in service and tips on top of the expensive meals.

Love this place. Superb food. Broccoli Gratin which was ace! Flat White was OK. Not the best I had in BUD. Great service. Beautiful atmosphere and ambiance. A great Michelin rated Brunch set high in the Budapest Rooftop of Hotel RUM. Nicely curated music. A Budapest highlight. Overall lives up to its name.

Amazing spot to get panoramic view of Budapest, great vibes and view. Would say it’s a must do for anyone visiting. Helps you appreciate the surroundings Also the American pancakes are a must, take it from a fellow American 😌 Not to sweet and perfect size

Great restaurant. Really professional service and polite staff. We ordered from the breakfast menu and both dishes were amazing! The restaurant has an amazing view where you can see the castle and many other sites. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the city. We did not reserve a table and there was plenty of seating around 10am, however for the evening I would recommend booking.

Perfect location, amazing start to the day in a stunning location with amazing staff. I had the locals sausages with amazing sourdough bread, best coffee and mimosa to start a great site seeing day. Stunning hotel with wonderful roof top restaurant, thanks to you all!!

Exquisite views and friendly service, but the food quality and pricing were poor. I ordered the trout benedict with gluten free bread. The plating was nice but the bread was the worst I've had in a city with awesome gf options! It truly tasted like crumbling cardboard and made the dish pretty hard to eat. My sister had the roasted eggplant which was better, but overly salty. My espresso tonic was nothing special, but twice the price of other high end cafes in town and then at the end the server noted an automatic 15% service fee but asked that we consider an additional tip for the staff All in all I would be back for a drink and to enjoy wonderful atmosphere, but not likely for a meal.

Food was inventive and delicious and the coffee was strong. Staff were helpful, accommodating of our dietary restrictions, and accommodated our reservation time change at the last minute. The view was of course lovely, and we thought the price was extremely reasonable for what we ordered. We came here on a recommendation and are happy to pay it forward by recommending to others.
