Solides - Restaurant gastronomique Toulouse

We enjoyed a wonderful five course dinner with many surprises. We did not choose the wine pairing, but did sample two very interesting local wines. The ambience, service and creativity of the menu could not have been better. Well, not inexpensive we felt it was an excellent value, considering the effort and uniqueness of the presentation.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and service was great. We didn’t like the wine selection at all. Too young wines with only partial fermentation for our taste. A cyder/beer was also served. Didn’t connect well in my opinion and, again, not fully fermented. We asked to switch to more classic wines and was then ok. Out of 8 dishes we liked three. Price was on the high end. Overall not enough value for the money for us.

Delicious meal, friendly staff and a cozy dining experience - absolutely loved the tuna and anchovies course and the mushrooms course, and the dessert was unique but so yummy (black pepper icecream and crumble). The chef was also responsible for serving drinks (so he was more generous with the wine pairing than a sommelier would be but none of us are complaining haha!). All in all, a delicious meal!

The food here is cooked simply and elegantly, with great technique so that you can taste every bite of the amazing produce they use. I had such a good time at this restaurant (matching wines also AMAZING) that I stayed in Toulouse for another day to taste other delicious things around town

Really excellent tasting menu of vegetarian dishes, and matched wines. My friends loved their meat dishes. Wine matches and food expertly made and described by the restaurant experts.

Slightly bonkers crew, but amazing food and atmosphere 😂❤️ Be sure to order the Toulousain menu ahead, if you want a taste of authentic cassoulet!

An amazing meal served by wonderful staff! All the food was the perfect combination of hearty, delicious and fine dining and all of the staff were the perfect combination of laid back and professional! A perfectly well designed and thoughtful experience beginning to end.

Simon surprises us with a lovely foie gras with a consommé. It brings a lot of taste to the dish. We continued with cassoulet: the typical dish prepared with great produce and a lot of savoir faire. We loved the atmosphere and the conversation.
