An Eater’s Guide to Crete, Greece’s Largest Island | Eater
"A Heraklion-based microbrewery contributing to the island’s growing beer culture with small-batch brews worth visiting for enthusiasts." - Demetrios Ioannou
We showed up half an hour before they closed, and they were so kind and generous, taking care of us, and offering some of the best, most creative brew I’ve had. They even let me leave a friend behind! Take the time and get yourself there!

Tasty crafted beers:)
We were lucky and had the possibility to talk with the brewer about products.
It was a very nice experience and taste of variety of the crafted beer that big producers cannot offer.
I can still remember because we still have some remaining supply;)

Been trying to visit a brewery on each island and this place is a little gem!
My wife and I were the only guest at the time and both the staff and owner greeted us, welcomed us and spent time talking with us.
The beer was delicious and we were given a tasting sample right from the fermentation tank! Fantastic, unique, fresh beer!
They also provided a great lunch recommendation in town.
Cheers and thank you!

Absolute gem of a place. Unfiltered beers amongst others with variety. Extremely knowledgeable and talented brewer. Quite a few international medals up on the wall. Small batches of unique brews. I saw an aged Triple in a 750 ML bottle the likes of which I had never seen. Definitely a few beers there which are unique in the world. All the restaurants and bars should immediately bring in this beer as well as the Cretan Kings from Rethymno- it is a terrible disappointment that the local industry (hotels, restaurants, bars) is not bringing in these beers onto the menu. Just like they use cost effective cheeses from abroad rather than the local stuff- the whole island is 500 years behind when it comes to efforts for local integration of local products, all for the sake of a perceived increase in bottom line. You can't even find the Cretan Kings beer nor the Solo Beer in probably any supermarket. The big Greek beers companies try to take in all the market share . It is an absolute disappointment. It is a very nice trip though to visit the brewery and enjoy the product on hand.

I have loved Solo beers for a while now and have wanted to visit the brewery but our times simply didn't coincide. Today I took a day off work and brought some friends there: we all loved the tasting, in the sun in the front yard with such friendly people who love what they do! I expected a larger brewery given the wide distribution but they make wonders with what they have. Definitely try the beetroot version and Grapy for something entirely different :-) Thank you and I hope to come back on a Thursday evening event too!

Achilles was our guide, and offered a wonderful tour of this local craft brewery. We were lucky enough to taste his seasonal 13th apostle brew, as well as a fresh batch of the American style IPA. Wonderful time spent with Achilles! Thank you! 🙏🍻

Excellent craft beer, in small batches. Good for tasting tours and chatting with the very knowleageable brewmaster. They serve cold cuts and cheese with their beer tasting tours.
