Solo NY Pizza

Our kids prefer Solo’s pizza and we feel so welcomed by staff when we go despite our numbers and it’s not a huge place. Said is super nice and remembers us.

Great place, great pizza….and really good people. If the food wasn’t good, I’d still go here because the people who work here are really good people and deserve all the success they get BUT the pizza is the best in town. Not many bad local pizza places in leesburg but Solo’s is top tier.

This place is amazing! First time ever today and we are customers for life. The owner is so funny and nice. He even recognized us for being our first time patrons. The pizza has no shortage of fresh toppings or cheese. The crust is so good, I could eat it alone. It is simply the best pizza I have had in a long time. The cheesecake is out of this world. Run, don't walk to this place. Love it! Out entire party loved it as well.

First off, the staff was amazing. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant itself was well decorated and clean. A picture is included to give you an idea of how it looks. As for the food, the pizza was delicious. However, if you are a lover of heavily seasoned Italian food, like what I grew up with, I would not order any pasta dishes.

This place was great. Wasn't expecting much, but the pizza was delicious. Tasted fresh, crust was solid, the right amount of sauce. We also had mozzarella sticks which were tasty. Not a ton of seating inside, but the food is definitely worth checking out.

I've known the owner of this restaurant before he was even an owner. One of the friendliest and customer focused managers/owners you will find. Smaller establishment, not some big chain, with a bug heart and a staff that goes out of their way to please. Even after so many years of eating at Solos I was still blown away by the Penne Cajun Jambalaya!!! You won't be disappointed!! Ray

We got pizza and wings to go— half pepperoni and half pineapple ham. It was pretty good- a little bit of a char on the crust and the bottom. The cheese is also a bit chewy. The wings were amazing- they put the hot sauce on the side so the wings wouldn’t get messy in the to go box and that they’d stay crunchy.

Delicious food for great prices! I got the Grilled Chicken Pesto sandwich and it was soooo good! The staff is really friendly, attentive, and hard working. I love the atmosphere as it’s comfortable and welcoming. I highly recommended coming here!

Great place!! The pizza was so good and super cheesy!! The owners were there and greeted us at our table and were super friendly!! I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

My daughter and I went looking for pizza by slice, apparently a hard task in Leesburg. But then with the help of Yelp, we found Solo NY tucked in a random strip mall just north of town. Service was fantastic- the servers were all super friendly and attentive and even the owner checked in on us. The onion rings were great, highly recommend as an opener. The pizza slices were big foldable NY slices- combined with the decor it's like being back in a little dive place off the beaten path in one of the boroughs. Highly recommend.

On Nextdoor Ashburn this week there was an informal poll of "best pizza in Loudoun". My quick count showed Solo as the clear winner. In constant search of new pizza places, my wife and I checked it out last night. Warm greeting by staff, quick polite service. Place was packed and it was a Monday night! Owner seemed to know everyone and warmly greeted them all. Anyway, we shared the Specialte Puzza which was perfection. Plenty of toppings, perfect thin crust. Large, so will finish it up for lunch today, loved it.

Great small restaurant. The food came out quick. Service was great. We ordered the Fettuccini with White Clams that came with a tasty generous portion of chopped clams. The pizza was piping hot and delicious!

A small spot with a variety of dishes. Met up with a friend and we were seated quickly. The owner seemed to try to connect with all his customers, which was refreshing to see. I got the lasagna which was decent. My friend opted for the pesto gnocchi and raved about it.

Can you ever have enough pizza spots in one area? Me thinks not! Located in the Leesburg strip mall next to the Fieldstone apartments, it's got a nice atmosphere with a small bar area, tables/booths indoors, and some seating outdoors. The staff is friendly with impeccable service. I'm not surprised since the joint is run by Said who might be one of the friendliest and personable people you'll ever encounter. Now for pizza, I've never ordered a whole pie, just by the slice. The thin foldable slices have that grease drip which I love. Either cheese, pepperoni, white, or BYO slices are available, all of which are always fresh and piping hot out of the oven. Sicilian pizza is also here too which is on my list to try. And with all pizza spots, you can get your pastabilities here with the array of pasta and Italian-American dishes such as the lasagna, fettucine alfredo, chicken parm, and veal saltimbocca. But for me, I always come back to the pizza as it's one of the best values in town in terms of taste and price. Always a pleasure roaming here when I'm in Leesburg for a quick slice or sit-down meal. Keep on keeping on Said!

I went to Solo on Thursday with three friends and we were not disappointed. Solo has some of the best Italian food in the area and the pizza is to die for! It's definitely worth the drive from Ashburn. The owners and others who work there are extremely nice and provide great service and the restaurant is well maintained and super clean. If you like authentic New York pizza, this is the place for you.

It was ok. The owners was VERY friendly! I am NOT a hand-shaker (to any and every stranger that I meet). But the owners is!

The food was super fresh, flavorful and yummy!! I highly recommend coming here. Also, the staff is super sweet and really made my family feel comfortable and satisfied! Def will be coming back

I've heard good things about this place and had to try it. Took the family here for dinner and was very happy I did. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing! The place is a bit small but it works well! We ordered a couple slices of pizza with fresh mushrooms and a few pastas. Linguine shrimp and scallops and fettuccine cajun shrimp. The pizza was pretty good. I am a big fan of NY style. The pastas were a hit. My kids and wife loved it. We shared both and were quite full. I will definitely be back here whenever I am craving Italian.

Omg!!!!!! We just left hubby driving home. Leesburg needs to come here!! Sooo good! I had eggplant parm and he had a human size baby calzone. We also ordered two slices to go just to check out the pizza. So yummy, did not disappoint our new go to place:)

One of my favorite places in town. Food is incredible at decent prices. They customize as desired. The staff is great. They treat you like family, well the family that likes you. We are regulars

Went last night. Not sure what happened but the chicken and broccoli fettuccini Alfredo was bad. The chicken was cook hours ago and reheated, the sauce was water, and overall had no flavor. Even salt didn't help. The pizza was ok. Not nearly as good as it used to be. Whatever happened in the last two years, they need to undo it.

2.5 stars really. So . . . I have to admit as an expat New Yorker, pizza is a very sensitive subject with me. It's all about the crust/cheese/topping ratio. And I am not shy about voicing my opinion that New York does it best. I found solo to be a good -- but not great -- NY style pizzeria. The service was great. The ambiance is pretty standard for a strip mall pizza place. The food is where I have some issue. I prefer Sicilian pizza, and their crust is great. We ordered one pepperoni and one Margherita. And here comes that ratio thing. There wasn't nearly enough pepperoni on the one pizza, and what was there wasn't evenly distributed. On the Margherita, there wasn't nearly enough cheese and there was way too much basil. And this is a nit, really, but the basil should go on after cooking, not before. Otherwise it dries out and burns. I am not sure if I will go back. There are too many other pizzerias to try before I die.

We did 3 times catering with them this year and the food absolutely excellent everyone at the party loved the food. All the of Pizza Pasta Salad and amazing meatballs

Can't say enough of Solo Pizza!! It brought me back to my young days in Astoria NY. Great pizza, sauce on point with no flop and great undercarriage crust!!

Food is good but space is small so owner wants your dining experience to be less than an hour so he can move more customers in. We felt pushed out at least twice. That's not enjoyable.

A hidden gem in a very localized neighborhood plaza ( Exeter). We had only recently discovered it since we were loyal customers of a well reputed but over hyped Pizza establishment in Leesburg that lost its fire and works in our opinion. We find the Pizza here to be full of flavor, juicy, and fresh ingredients, sizable yet reasonably priced. In contrast to other places in town who offer either thick (way too thick) or thin (a piece of board) crusts theirs is just right! enough of a soft bite but not a substitute for a loaf of bread with some toppings. Perhaps the main difference though is with the genuine sense of welcome you get here by the owner and any staff you interact with. After one or two visits he already recognizes you and makes you feel like a regular. The hospitality did not end there - in one of our visits I was just inquiring about a good looking dessert I saw in the fridge and he insisted (really!) on me accepting one (free) to take home to my wife! Talk about an easy going friendly and smart business man! Our only "gripe" with this place is that it is closed on Sunday, forcing us to compromise with one of the inferior establishments in Leesburg. I guess he is after all human and deserves a day off Well done and thank you!

Very good pizza and menu great service as well. For Leesburg this is one of the best pizza places here.

Yo! The slices are 95% like I had growing up in Brooklyn. I enjoyed it immensely and will be back. Also liked the memorabilia on the walls and friendly staff on my first time there.

Everything here is great - food, people, other customers....feels like dinner in someone's home. Pizza is spot on with pies from New York and New Jersey. We're from Jersey so we know! I've also ordered catering for a large party (100 people) and Said was really great to work with. Everyone raved about the pastas, chicken, and salads. This business also gives back to the community by supporting schools, sporting events and families. It's one thing to be a good restaurant but it says a lot when the owner and staff are supportive of the locals!

Foods and services are great. Good staff, and location. My go to pizza place in the Leesburg area.

"I've got you," is the owners motto. We were greeted that way as we entered. It was 4 of us, one special needs. Everyone, including the owner and staff were so receptive and accommodating. It was a kindness that made our dinner the best. And it was. The pizza was delicious, the sandwiches we ordered and a pasta. The hit of the evening was a side order of fries. All of us devoured them with delight. Thank you Solo Pizza for a delicious and delightful evening.

First timer.....wondered to Leesburg to enjoy the delicious tastes, and flavors of a SOLO NY PIZZA 16" NY Style Thin Crust Carni Pizza which consists of tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, ham, bacon, sausage and meatball. A slice of Cheese cake topped off the evening to satisfy the sweet tooth, however, not overly sweet so just right! Thank you, Said Mehenni and staff for your hospitality. The photo says it all!!

Took my son here for his birthday lunch and was not disappointed. The food is delicious and the service is fantastic!

Wow!!! Great pizza and calzones!!! The thin crust, the sauce and the high quality pepperoni and sausage are the best I've eaten since NY. In addition the prices are REASONABLE!!! Calzone was so brunt it was terrible! The sauce was watered down. My friend that had a salad with chicken on it couldn't eat the chicken because it was tuff and chewy. What a disappointment! The food really went down hill since I was there a few months ago.

On Christmas Eve my family has the tradition of going out for pizza, our usual spot was closed this year so we ended up at Solo and it did not disappoint! The inside has a cute New York theme to it and we got a nice circle table easily. The staff was so friendly and the owner was there greeting everyone. We ordered the Buffalo chicken pizza and the Speciale, both were delicious and the portion sizes were great, a medium and a large easily fed our family of 5. Definitely recommend trying Solo on your next pizza night with the family, they do carry out as well!

The food was okay. I got a to-go preset. My pizza had meatballs and mushrooms. I found it kind of bland. The service was quick. The restaurant had nice music and looked clean.

Amazing customer service! The first time I came here with my daughter the owner greeted us and asked about us. We told him we were just moving to the neighborhood and he gave us free fountain drinks as a token of hospitality! We came back a few times for the pizza, and the service and pizzas have always hit the spot.

Quick review! Basing off my only two experiences. Staff/Atmosphere - 10/10! Pizza - 3/10. Unfortunately, the quality of ingredients seem low. The veggies (at least on mine) were cut too large & yielded wet, undercooked veg both times. The mushrooms were from a can, the crust was overcooked, just a meh overall. Appetizers - 8/10, I tried most of them, I thought all were pretty good. Dessert - Kind of a gimmick and overpriced (sorry!). Of course the sweets taste good but they are from Costco and for the price you pay per dessert - you could be getting 6x the amount (or more depending). I don't mind supporting local business and happy to give back to my community but I do think it's kind of rough on consumers to pay high inflation on things that were commercially made.

While in the area for a meeting, several of us stopped into Solo for lunch.  When it was suggested, I definitely wanted to give this place a try after hearing so much positive news about it via social media.  The owner was GREAT, he greeted us like we were old friends (first time we met him!) and was very welcoming.  They seem to do a massive amount of take-out business, as there was a lot of to-go orders walking out and they were quite packed inside, but service was quick and the food was fresh! Their subs were done perfectly; they make their eggplant parm in-house!  Their onion rings were awesome (beer battered style, not panko/crunchy).  Prices are fair, the place is clean and covid-safe. I'll definitely return when in the area!!

Great pizza, fast and super friendly service! Pizza is usually ready within 15 minutes for pick-up. Closest to real NY pizza in the area.

Being located next to the most amazing Pizza Place in Leesburg has it's advantages. Besides being "Family," well, everyone is family to Said and his staff, we get the best pizza - the whole pie or by the slice. Today we bought a large Sicilian pizza pie with pepperoni, black olives and onions. Wow. Everyone loved the thick, cheesy goodness. It was so good that today, after over two years, I took pictures and decided it was time to do a review. The food is excellent. The staff treat you like family. The NY style atmosphere and if you're lucky on a weekend night you'll get to hear the music and singing of a local artist who will take you back to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin in song. Come for the pizza, stay for the company.

Service was outstanding. Everyone was very friendly. Pizza was okay. Was expecting a little more sauce but overall a good product.
