The food at this Italian restaurant is very good and comes impressively close to authentic Italian cuisine. The desserts, cookies, and especially the ice cream are also excellent and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. Unfortunately, the service doesn’t quite match the high standard of the food. The staff is not very friendly and could definitely be more attentive. The atmosphere of the restaurant also leaves something to be desired – a bit more warmth and attention to detail in the decor would go a long way in enhancing the dining experience. Overall, it’s worth visiting for the food and sweets, but don’t expect top-notch service or a cozy ambiance.

Enjoyed Italian dinner here in Little Italy while visiting San Diego. Food was good. Service was good. Outside tables were lovely. Tasteful and authentic. Busy. Restrooms were clean.

Google
I had the pasta with eggplant and sausage and it was good! The guy serving us was not very nice or personable. It felt he was in hurry. My daughter had the gnocchi with red sauce and liked it. Her boyfriend got the Margheterita pizza. Huge portions. Nice out door patio.

I had a great experience dining at this Italian restaurant in Little Italy! I ordered the Rack of Lamb al Rosmarino — it was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We also had the spinach salad, which was fresh and full of flavor. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was warm and inviting — a perfect spot for a nice meal. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Google
What a beautiful spot right in the middle of little Italy. The lobster ravioli was absolutely phenomenal. The mushroom sauce paired so well with the dish. Filet mignon another amazing dish, with a similar creamy sauce. Kids pizza was absolutely huge as well, probably a normal size pizza.

Google
We are fond of Italian cuisine, and were thoroughly satisfied with each of our dishes. The service was attentive and professional. We will most certainly return in the near future.

Google
Pizza was delicious, the spaghetti Scoglio on the other hand was absolutely terrible, the waitress asked how the food was and I was honest, the owner came over and literally kicked me out “you don’t like the food get out!” I’ve never seen a restaurant being run like this, disgusting behavior

Google
No exaggeration.. By far the best restaurant I’ve been to in a long while. Felt like being in a little spot in Italy. Great wine, phenomenal food & the service was top tier! Some of the best food In San Diego. 1000% recommend.

Yelp
The food here was great! The genuine Italian flair here was definitely the owner hosting at the front and greeting guests as they walked in. That was the best for me. Genuine and sincere service! The ambience was very fun. Great wall art and decor. The stone pizza oven was center stage and the dessert counter was *chefs kiss*. I'm so disappointed in myself for not getting a pizza which is fine because now I have to do a second visit. Plenty of seating and it was fairly busy for Tuesday afternoon. I apologize for not remembering the names of a couple of our food items on this visit. A good place to visit and try if you're in the Little Italy area of San Diego.

Yelp
Are all the other places in the area packed? This is an ok stop gap. I really wanted solid Italian food. This was just eh. I left full. Was told everything was fresh made. Felt canned or boiled from frozen.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I sat ourselves in their indoor patio(?) It was a really nice ambiance, they were playing music softly. We were served their complimentary bread with the marinara which was pretty spicy which was unexpected, I don't have the best spice tolerance, but others that do might enjoy that more than I did. We got the cozze e vongole for appetizer which were clams and mussels and they were SO GOOD! The sauce it came with was so creamy and light, it was my first time trying this dish and I'm so happy to have gotten it instead of the calamari. The portions were also great for two people. The gnocchi with the radicchio was really good as well. The fettuccine bolognese was tasty, but I felt the sauce fell a little flat on the flavor, but both of the pasta portions are huge, we had some leftovers. The worker with a red 7 tattoo on his neck was really helpful and accommodating, it got too hot so he lowered the blinds for us which helped a lot. I believe our server was the only one working the floor(?) so he was a bit busy but he had a few others helping him out. We didn't get utensils until after we got our appetizer which we had to ask for and the fork I got had some food stuck to it still, so I had to get a new one. Also, they didn't give us more water after they took the bottle it came in halfway through our meal when our glasses were almost empty.

Yelp
I really wanted this to be four or five stars! The ambience is simple but cute very modern Italian. The bakery looks absolutely incredible with anything you want. I have high standards. I'm comparing it to Chicago and Boston bakeries. The pastries look comfortable, but they certainly do not taste it. The Napoleon was very gummy and tasted more like marzipan than an actual pastry. gelato is good, but nothing worth going out of your way for.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute restaurant in little Italy. Outdoor seating, friendly staff weekly specials. Fare is of-course Italian! Pizza pasta plus all other Italian dishes. Small but good beer selection. Pizza we had was good, although I would rank it pretty average. Pasta carbonara was awesome and highlight of my meal here. Complementary bread with marinara sauce was terrible. Not very tasty bread, and marinara sauce that came straight from the can..

Yelp
Solunto is a beautiful location that just gives Little Italy. You can tell that a lot of thought is put into the dishes and customer service. It definitely feels like you are family from start to finish. Lots of flavor and options!

Yelp
Finally found the bakery place I haven't eat for a long time! My husband & I love stop by for dessert mood because they have the best cannoli! Their service were great and fast! They always communicate with us to make sure we are happy with our orders. Clean and cute restaurant/bakery!

Yelp
Got an Italian sandwich that we were craving. A take home treat. In and out in a jiffy with some pastries as well. Definitely hit the spot. Dicks

Yelp
I recently dropped by and tried their Margherita pizza and Fettucine Gamberi, and let me tell you, they hit the spot! The Margherita pizza had fresh tomatoes and basil topping a perfect crust. And the Fettucine Gamberi? Oh boy, those shrimp were cooked just right, swimming in a flavorful sauce. What really made the experience even better was the friendly service. The staff were on point, making sure we had everything we needed, and they even brought out some warm bread and marinara sauce to munch on while we waited for our mains.

Yelp
A nice little Italian restaurant right at Little Italy of San Diego. They have really nice outside seating area right by the street and indoor seating as well. Inside you'll find a bakery with tons of decadent and delicious looking desserts, even Canoli. I had ordered the Veal Parmigiana with meat sauce and pasta as it's one of my favorite Italian dishes. You will be served some bread and sauce here that is just delicious. Don't fill up on it too much though cause you will not be able to eat anything afterward. Veal parmigiana came out looking nice and hot. As far as flavor and everything I believe it was just good. The veal could have been a little more tender and the pasta was cold but I still had a great time sitting outside on a beautiful day in So Cal. I'd still come back and try some of their other items out and definitely get some Canoli here.

Yelp
We're from LA, and this is our second visit to Solunto--it's still the best! Everything was so good! The service was prompt and precise, and the ambiance was pleasant. We were particularly eager to try the prosciutto burrata again, and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely divine! We will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Late Post Oct 23' Probably would have never walked in the spot because personally, I do like planning what restaurants to visit prior, mostly reading reviews and checking out their menu but we literally pulled up and walked right in.. I would've loved to sit outside but it was a bit breezy for our party so we opt for an indoor table which was perfectly situated in the middle. The breeze helped with the heat, our server was very patient with us since we had someone in our party who couldn't make up their mind. We finally decided on sharing everything... Margherita Pizza 5/5 came out hot, delish - took some home and made it extra crispy! Calamari 5/5 loved that fried zucchini was mixed in. Lobster Ravioli - 5/5 Didn't get to try it but everyone that tried it said they loved the mushroom sauce Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
The food was delicious! Will come back. The lobster ravioli was creamy and cooked to perfection. The lasagna was great as well. Seating was very fast.

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant in Little Italy! We were walking along the street when a man coming out of the restaurant assured us that the food was very good. We were intrigued, and went in. Free bread, yayyy!! It was soft and tasty, it came with a spicy marinara which was yummy. All of our food was great! The chicken Marsala was the star of the show. The pastas were delicious as well. The pizza was good, the crust was my favorite part! We went inside to the bakery and got some pastries to-go as well. Cannoli, tiramisu, and chocolate mousse cake. Service and staff was attentive and friendly. We sat outside, the heaters were well positioned and the outdoor seating was fun. Overall great Little Italy experience, I will remember when I come back!

Yelp
6/14/2024 - My first time ever here. I'm always on the hunt for a good Italian olive bread and a NY cannoli. I go tomNY, SF and Italy regularly. I walked in and located a cannoli. They were very expensive, in NY there are no more than $5, in SF they are $4. In Italy around 4 euro. This place was $7 each! Very expensive. I gave the taste and texture a total of 3 stars. I took 1 star off because they were sitting there and not made fresh in front of you how they should be. I took another star off for the cannoli not being crisp and dry when you eat it. It was soft crust and cool. Which means it was filled hours earlier and sitting in a frig somewhere. I bought 2 so I could try one and a friend. He agreed with me. Place was clean, and nice service. They didn't have olive bread which is a bummer. Will post more photos later. The length of the cannoli was about 4 inches.

Yelp
Calamari - the best thing we order BUT some of the tentacle pieces were undercooked so there's that. Spinach salad - I had to pick through old rotten pieces of spinach - yellow and slimy pieces. Chicken Marsala - It was just ok. My husband was starving so he devoured it but that was only because he was starving. Drinks were good and it was much needed but not good enough to order another round. I didn't want to spend any more money here. Gelato was not good at all. They give 2 samples per person and what we tried, tasted super artificial. (We got gelato from Bobboi Natural Gelato and I wish I didn't share it ) Service was SLOW! There was a hair on my plate underneath the cloth napkin. I asked for a new plate and the server took the plate without saying a word and never replaced the plate. We were checked on once after the food arrived and that was it. We're just glad we didn't order more food than we did. Before our long drive back to LA we picked up a torpedo from a deli down the street from Solunta and it was delicious!

Yelp
1. The service is amazing. On a busy Saturday afternoon, we felt very taken care of. 2. The Naples style pizza here is as fresh and true to authentic as possible. It's also about $5-7 less expensive than other places in the area. I feel this place has a fair price. The other places in the area are just overpriced. Lol. 3. The linguine we ordered was very Al dente, cooked perfectly. Also, it was not "over sauced." I felt like it was just the right amount. 4. As of 2024, sit outside if you can during Summer and warm days. You'll prefer the mild temperatures. The inside tends to get a little hot & humid, because of the proximity to the ocean. 5. Parking? Good luck. You might have to park miles away, no joke, and then take alternate/public/ride share transportation to the restaurant. My only note for the management is the Octopus Dish could be better. My advice would be to serve this dish cold, and take out the artichoke and the potato. I feel like a good octopus salad, with some lemon, olive oil, garlic and some parsley is all you really need here. Overall, in summary, the food here is good at an affordable price. I think if you're looking for an Italian spot to go to, really anywhere on India Street especially in Little Italy is going to be ok. But with this place really excels at is the top quality service, you can tell that this isn't Americanized Italian food, it feels more like authentic Italian food from owners and managers who have some direct connection to Italy, and lastly, I liked the outdoor dining experience.

Yelp
One of the best Italian restaurants in San Diego! They served bread with marinara sauce in the beginning and then we got to order our food. I got the Rigatoni e Pollo and it was delicious! The sauce had the perfect amount of creaminess to it and it paired really well with the vegetables and pasta. It didn't feel dry at all. There weren't too many vegetables which is how I like my pasta. Sometimes Italian restaurants have smaller portion sizes for their pasta but this restaurant had the perfect portion sizes! Would definitely come back here again and maybe try the Lobster Ravioli! :)

Yelp
Went specifically for baked goods and was not disappointed. Close to dinner time and was so happy to see a full case. The prices are good and there's a great variety. Super helpful worker helped us pick out a box of cookies.
google avatar

Hyun Y.

Yelp
Overall the food was decent. The person who helped us was also very friendly and offered good service. Although most of the dishes were good, the food did take a long time to come out. The dishes were also a bit inconsistent. We were a bit party and some of us ordered same dishes and we noticed one person got way more seafood and the other person didn't get as much on their pasta.
google avatar

Micky C.

Yelp
Cute little place with great atmosphere! This was our last stop on the Vino Vino Little Italy wine tour from So Diego Tours which was part of a surprise vacation from Pack Up & Go. We had 2-3 wines here and a bowl of pasta which was fantastic! Service was great as well. Would definitely come again & check out the bakery items!

Yelp
What's even better than cannoli? Chocolate cannoli (!!!), which I just found out today courtesy of the Solunto bakery section. Went for the sfogliatelle and came out with much more. There is a massive, well stocked glass bakery section with two sizes of sfogliatelle, cannoli galore as well as seemingly dozens of different other types of cookies and pastries. The apple pastries were the size of my hand, and filled with luscious compote. I also tried a Sicilian Almond cream filled pastry which was well made though a bit too dense for my liking. The chocolate cannoli was my favorite--filled to the brim with cheese and enrobed in a perfectly crunchy outer shell. The bakery section staff were nice and patiently waited for me as I ogled the selection. The price was a bit more than I would have liked to spend on pastries, but worth it to sample sfogliatelle for the first time and for the deeply delectable chocolate cannoli.

Yelp
The desserts were old and hard as a rock. Gelato did not have any flavor and the coffee as cold. Don't come t this place. It's deceiving.

Liz C.

Yelp
Had reservations here Saturday afternoon and left unfortunately, very upset. After taking our order & receiving our food, not ONCE were we checked up on. No "how's everything, need a refill, room for dessert?" Absolutely nothing. We even had to get up & ask someone for our check. Which then took like 10 minutes to arrive. Also, don't be scammed by the Italian man sitting on their outside patio trying to get you to stop & eat inside. I watched him stop every single couple that walked by & told them all the same thing. This man definitely gets paid to market.

Yelp
The ambiance here was cute, it's right in the middle of Little Italy and they have indoor and outdoor seating. We came early evening on a Tuesday and we're seated promptly. They have happy hour from 4-6 pm during the week with drinks, apps, and two pizzas on the happy hour menu. When you sit, they bring out bread with this amazing marinara sauce that's spicy. We ordered the pomegranate mojitos, which were really tasty. I ordered the garlic fries and lobster ravioli and my friend got the five cheese pasta and Cesar salad. The lobster ravioli was good however had a bit of a fishy flavor and the fries were kinda cold. My friends pasta was good, salad I think was just ok as she barely ate any of it. Service was not the greatest, staff wasn't particularly friendly and had really flat affect. The young girl at the bakery counter was extremely rude and off putting. I'm addition, one of the guys that was clearing tables had cleaned the one next to us, spraying it with the table spray, which the mist had traveled to us- I got cleaning product on my arm And we still had some food on the table so didn't bother finishing it (didn't want to taste chemicals, thanks). Cannolis aren't that great and come in at 7.50 per cannoli, the filling was lacking in flavor and my friends tasted powdery. The cookies weee hard and dry. My overall thought on this place was just okay and I honestly would go to another Italian restaurant in the area over this one.

Yelp
Went to Solunto for lunch during the week and it was very yummy. We started with a margherita pizza which was delish and then I ordered the fettuccine gamberi without mushrooms. I preferred the pizza over the pasta. I loved the outdoor seating and think it's perfect for spring and summer.

Yelp
Great Italian food. We came specifically for the bread. The bakery is great too with all homemade desserts like tiramisu
google avatar

Adriana M.

Yelp
The staff here make you feel like family, and I love how the bread, the marinara, the gnocchi, the pastries, the gelato, and the limoncello are all made from scratch here. Fabulous, hand-crafted food. Feels like you're in your Nonna's Italian kitchen. Yum!

Yelp
Hawaiians in San Diego, ALOHA! Beautiful early October day in San Diego. We strolled along India St and found this lovely restaurant and bakery with outdoor and indoor seating. Our group sat outdoors as it was a nice sunny day. After getting settled in at our table our fabulous server MARIO greeted us with a warm smile. He is wonderful and took good care of us as we did him. Grazie Mario We ordered a couple of bottles of Pinot Grigio Zaccagnini which were delightful and light. Family Style is our thing and we shared a Cesar as well as the Spinach Salad. Next up were appetizers. Insalata Di Polipo which was a favorite for all of us. Tender Octopus, Potatoes, Olives on a bed of romain lettuce leaves. I recommend this dish. It was a nice size and could be ordered as an entree too. We also shared Cozze E Vongole In Umido, Clams and Mussles with Crostinis on the side for dipping in the yummy sauce. Final appetizer was Funghetti Ripieni skinny fries with a Mushroom Cheese Tomato topping. That was my least favorite but everyone else enjoyed it. After taking a powder room break and standing and stretching to make room for the next course, lol! Shared entree's were Spaghetti Carbonara, delish!! Fusili Genovese, rotini pasta, chicken in a pesto sauce, Lasagna Bolognese, and the Star of the show was Pork Shank Ossobuco. Talk about fall off the shank, tenderly braised in a red wine sauce. Wait! We are not done. We hit the bakery inside and licked away at some gelato and ordered desserts to take back to our hotel. It was our first and best meal together on our vacation in San Diego. We all recommended Solunto. Grazie and see you again!!

Yelp
This is a spacious, welcome & colorfully decorated space in the heart of San Diego's Little Italy. As I was examining a posted menu, a nearby patron sitting out front took the time to explain the finer points of the restaurant and very enthusiastically told me how fantastic this dish and that dish were. Sold. I came inside and was seated right away. Dining alone tonight, I mostly people watched while devouring the incredibly fresh bread which was dipped in a zesty tomato sauce. It was so entertaining watching other people, families and friends come in from the street and gaze at their desired treats behind the featured bakery counter that occupied the northern wall. The restaurant has a full bar with a plethora of wine choices to sip on while awaiting your culinary experience to arrive. I ordered Chicken Marsala; a comfort food favorite of mine and I'll have to say it came out absolutely perfect and exactly the way I wanted it. I asked for no potatoes and extra veggies and extra, extra, extra mushrooms...!!! (Did I mention extra mushrooms...?) The food was delivered looking picturesque and the flavor was spectacular & savory! All in all this was a very filling meal and I walked away very satisfied with leftovers that will be tomorrow's second meal! This place was exactly as described by the patron I spoke to on the way in. If in Little Italy, give it a try! I'll bet you'll love it!

Yelp
Excellent service Fantastic food We visited little Italy in San Diego we decided to eat at this place The pasta and salad are amazing Kudos for the owner helping on everything to improve service

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant! Excellent service from the moment we sat down to the moment we left. They were very attentive to our needs. I ordered the steak sandwich which had avocado and fries in it with a side salad and the pizza ale beer. Family had some pasta dishes. The food was delicious! You could tell the ingredients were fresh and it was prepared fresh. No mistakes at all. The icing on the cake was the bakery that's inside! Can you say drool?! Will definitely be back. I saw a gentleman monitoring everything and walking around, seems like an owner perhaps. That is how business is conducted. Well done!

Yelp
I can't really say I was impressed by Solunto, but I also wouldn't really complain about it. My mom and I decided to split a pizza and an order of gnocchi. The portions are good sized to share with another person, so that's definitely a great thing for groups! We didn't wait, thankfully. We let the hostess know we wanted a seat outside and were able to get a table immediately. The starter bread was pretty good! Margherita pizza - 3/10. The tomatoes it came with made it a slippery and wet mess. It was honestly difficult to enjoy this pizza because it didn't taste like it was cooked well enough. And because of the wet produce, it felt like our pizza got cold really fast. Gnocchi - 8/10. Very delightful taste! The truffle in it was a beautiful touch. However, there was something off about the texture for me. Like it was a tad too sticky? Definitely not a place I'd go back, but I also wouldn't tell my friends to avoid it

Barbara R.

Yelp
Fantastic! Best dish on menu was the Fettuccine Piemontesi tasted like my Italian grandma made it...so Yummy! This dish did not taste like lamb it was meaty and tastee. Both the Fettuccine Bolognese and Lasagna Bolognese were great too. Lasagna made with homemade noodles. Try the pizza get the Calabrian chili oil...so hot and so good. Meal served with fresh baked bread and spicy marinara. Staff very friendly.

Yelp
I liked this place a lot. Partly the quality of the food, partly the friendly service, partly just the sense of energy and fun that reminded me of past travel in Italy. I had Spaghetti Carbonara, my friend, Bolognese. Both excellent. Prices were pretty good by current standards, and there was a reasonable wine selection. And just the whole energy of Little Italy was delightful.
google avatar

Danielle S.

Yelp
We stopped in after some holiday festivities planning to have a glass of wine but instead buying food and dessert as well! We shared an appetizer as we weren't very hungry and it was a decent amount of food - the funghetti ripieni had crab stuffed portobello mushroom on top of a plate of fries with delicious sauce. The glasses of wine were some of the more affordable I've had and was a good sized pour! We ended the night with gelato and a pastry! The service was great, the atmosphere was nice. Overall, one of the best restaurants we've found in San Diego and we will certainly be back!

Yelp
The food is very good, not excellent but very very good, Excellent on your wallet, with extremely fair pricing as for the portions, meh. The parking and the waiter are for shit. Waited nearly 20 minutes for cold bread and without butter. They have the one waiter and he plays with his phone, forgets the wine, does follow-up, basically lazy, and hates, hates, hates his job the whole entire shift; and it shows. Nice bread in the bakery, cookies, and pastries again generous pricing I'll return in a month or two, the food is good, and easy on the wallet too, perhaps the waiter would have been fired by then or moved on, hopefully.

Yelp
Food was excellent. I had the pollo e spinachi, my companions had the pork osso buco and risotto contadino. We all loved our meals. The ambiance of dining outside on a beautiful night is a true San Diego experience. Service is great!

Yelp
Title: Disappointed and Disrespected: Avoid this Establishment! This place is an absolute joke. I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews, but my recent experience demands it. Upon entering with a sleeping child, I inquired about the wait time for a pizza and was assured it would be ready in 15 minutes. However, we ended up waiting for over an hour, feeling like fools holding a sleeping child. When I finally mustered the courage to ask about our order, the staff had the audacity to hand me cold pizza, claiming it had been sitting there for 45 minutes. Not only did they fail to deliver on their promise, but they also displayed a complete lack of respect for me and my family. Despite our obvious presence, they repeatedly ignored us, walking past us countless times. Not a single apology, but the owner was quick to get in my face as if he wanted to fight me. It's truly disgraceful to witness such a lack of class and respect from the staff. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this establishment at all costs.

Yelp
Family enjoyed the food, spaghetti and lasagna were really good. Mine was cooked well however the taste wasn't my style but still good place to dine!

Yelp
Hands down the best Italian restaurant in Little Italy or in California for that matter. Veal Ossobuco was another level, the meat literally fell off the bone. My wife had The carbonara which was perfectly cooked and not al dente. The service was too notch, I'd recommend sitting outside as they have heat lamps in the evening. The bakery inside has an abundance of delicious goodies. Go for the Cannoli! 10 out of 10 all around. Definitely coming back soon.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. So nice to relax outside with such a good meal. The lobster ravioli was divine. My husband had the canelloni which was delicious. Wish we lived here to eat here more often

Yelp
We live in San Fernando Valley. We were visiting some friends in La Jolla and the four of us went over to San Diego for a yacht ride and on to lunch at Solunto. We started off with a bottle of wine the Montepulciano D'Abruzzo between the 4 of us. We had the Caprese as an appetizer to start. My friend and I split the Fettuccine Gamberi. It was absolutely the BEST I've ever had! Our husbands had the spaghetti and meatballs, and they both said it was delicious! After lunch, we decided to have a gelato. Normally, my husband and I would split a tiramisu dessert, but we opted to go for the tiramisu gelato and so happy that we did. Our friend had the peach and it was also spectacular! I wish this restaurant was here in San Fernando Valley. We will most definitely visit next time we are in the area. I've been craving it all since we left. I was so impressed with the entire meal that I contacted Paulo, the manager, and told him of our wonderful good experience! ;)

Yelp
This past weekend I made a trip to SD and had reservations set for this restaurant located right in the heart of Little Italy, although we finished all our daytime activities early so they easily sat us earlier without any wait time which was great. I would like to add though that I called earlier in the week to make those reservations and everyone I spoke to was super professional and very helpful over the phone. The service here was excellent. Being that it was our first time our waiter was super knowledgeable of the menu as we asked him questions on their selection of wine and ingredients in their pasta. We felt well taken care of even when we asked for the heaters to be turned on as we chose to sit outside because of the Italian ambiance and lighting was nice. The food was incredible as I expected from all the great reviews. I ordered the four cheese penne pasta with a sweet red wine. They also have a bakery connected inside the restaurant which we stopped to buy a few sweets on our way out, equally as delicious. I'm happy with our choice to eat at this establishment as there are so many to choose from, I can't wait to visit again soon!

Hi P.

Yelp
This restaurant had bad food and customer service, I would ask for things such as more bread and a forks and they did not bring it out after several times asking as well as I found a worm in my glass of water and a hair in my food. The water did not even taste clean. Overall my experience was unpleasant. I will not come again or recommend. please reconsider if you are coming.

Yelp
We recently visited San Diego & stayed downtown. I have been seen so many TikTok's of Little Italy and wanted to explore it. We came down here at night and had dinner. I wanted the Gnocchi Al Tartufo however they didn't have it so I went with the Fettuccine Gamberi. My mom ordered the Rigatoni E Pollo and my little bro went with Napoletana. We had complimentary bread and it was warm and delicious! The food was served hot and server sprinkled Parmesan and pepper per our liking. We enjoyed our pasta, it was soft and tasted really fresh. I really enjoyed the sauce for the fettuccine. Afterwards we got gelato, cookies and pastries. It was really fun to pick the flow it's for gelato and I wasn't sure if I had room for more desert. But we tried a lot of the pastries that night. When we come back to visit San Diego, I want to definitely come here again!!

Yelp
This restaurant was very good. I might even say that it was squitissimi, which means "very exquisite" in Italian. We got a good Caesar salad, and a pizza with anchovies. We did not like how fishy the pizza was, so our VERY generous waiter brought us a squitissimi and delicious margarita pizza that warmed us from the inside out! Very good service and good food. Would recommend!

Yelp
Walked into this place by chance on Valentine's Day after walking out on our reservations at another place down the street. So lucky, because this place was amazing! It really saved what could have been a terrible date night. The service was fantastic. Everyone was attentive and you can tell that they were all working hard and really cared about their customers. A woman at the table next us spilled some pasta sauce on her white top, a server noticed her trying to clean it and immediately brought her some club soda to help get it out. That's just above and beyond to me. The food was fantastic. We started with the mussels and clams (we got clams only because I don't actually like mussels) and omg. The sauce was just perfect. It's got a little kick to it, but it was like crack, honestly. We also got the beet salad. The was the best best salad I've ever had. The dressing was amazing. They were also very generous with the cheese on top. Wherever my husband and I go, if there are clams and beef salads on the menu we ALWAYS order it. I feel comfortable saying that the clams and beets here are the best I've had in San Diego. Entrees were great! I loved my gnocchi. The truffle and garlic. Drool worthy. My husband ordered the salmon with the squid ink pasta. He really enjoyed that too. I think he had the server put too much Parm on top and it absorbed a lot of the sauce lol. Note for the future: one scoop of Parm is enough lol. We got a cheesecake to go and munched out it outside then civic theater while we waited for Chicago to start. It was delicious. I really liked the crust. Overall a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
They sold that tiny one in the picture to my wife for $3.00. The two full-size cannoli were $7.50 each. That's a total rip off. And they don't even taste good. If you are in Little Italy, avoid this place if you want to buy cannoli.

Yelp
The food here was so good! I loved my Penne Cuatro Formaggi. The backers is to the left and the cannolis are amazing!
