Some Thai is a fantastic restaurant. Despite what the name might suggest, I wouldn’t classify it as traditional Thai cuisine. Their standout dishes are actually the crudos, which clearly draw inspiration from South and Central American flavors.
Atmosphere: 3/5
The restaurant is small, and the décor doesn’t quite match the level of their cuisine. However, the place is clean, well-ventilated, and comfortable enough for a casual meal.
Service: 5/5
The staff are friendly, attentive, and very accommodating.
Food:
• Spring Rolls: 5/5
Crunchy, fresh, and beautifully presented.
• Tom Yum Soup: 4/5
Tasty and well-balanced, but the portion is quite small for two people. Good dish, but not the highlight of the menu.
• Hamachi Crudo: 5/5
A must-order. The fusion of Thai and South American elements is executed perfectly.
• Salmon Crudo/Carpaccio: 5/5
Another essential dish—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared.
• Krao Pork: 5/5
Generous portion, great flavor, and nicely presented. My only comment is that the pork belly wasn’t served hot enough.
• Roti with Condensed Milk: 5/5
The perfect dessert to end a very satisfying meal.
Overall Rating: 5/5
I would love to see more restaurants like this—places that offer innovative culinary techniques at accessible prices.
