I finally tried some burros on the recommendation of an acquaintance. I ordered two carne asada soft tacos, And cherry chimis for desert. I was asked if I wanted some chips, and I said yes. I said "and salsa, please". They put more "salsa" in the bag.
I had to sit outside. They had no inside seating at all, which I can sort of understand but they certainly could've had four tables set up inside with plenty of room in between them during this Covid 19 pandemic.
The tacos turned out to be smallish street tacos, for which I paid $3.50 each. They had one corn tortilla shell, Carne Asada, onions and cilantro. I like my tacos with salsa and sour cream. I didn't think to ask for the sour cream, and was so disappointed about the salsa that I did not bother asking for sour cream.
Unfortunately, the salsa was not my idea of salsa. It was nothing more than taco sauce with a few microscopic bits of something in them. They were given in a little plastic soufflé cup that held about an ounce. It was too hot to eat with the chips, If you could manage to dip the chips in the tiny cup, which was impossible.
All in all, the lack of a decent salsa at a Mexican restaurant ruined it for me. I almost think the tacos would've been fabulous if I'd had decent salsa.
The cherry chimis were awesome, and served with whipped cream.
Two small tacos and dessert, and a two dollar tip: $15.89. Just too much money. I won't be back.
