The Best Tamales in Phoenix, 2021 - Eater Phoenix

"Someburros knows sometimes people don’t plan their menu in advance. And, happily, tamales are there for those who wait until the last minute. A tamale platter is $59 and includes either 15 beef tamales topped with red enchilada sauce or 15 green corn tamales with cheese and green enchilada sauce. Dine-in option includes tamales as a part of a combo plate." - Rudri Patel

Google
5/5 Perfect place to go for some burros! Love this restaurant! Was especially excited to see that they had breakfast burritos during lunch/dinner time and enjoyed a delicious chorizo burrito. The rice and beans were very delicious and I had to top the experience off with chips, salsa, and my favorite Jarritos drink.

As a local and historical familia de restaurantes, I love bringing my family to Someburros. (Panchos family legacy) my parents used to take me to Panchos in Mesa and Alma School and now I’m eating at a Someburros where the family legacy lives on. Today I met the GM of the Tempe location, Camden, who came from the Mesa location and is a family memeber. He and his fantastic team were able to prepare a platter and catering for 10 people with last minute notice. I am continually happy with their service, their dedication to community and obvi, the food.

Google
Ordered over the phone for takeout so I can't really tell you that much for the service & atmosphere. The food was great! Average portions, the red salsa had a different, like roasted or smoked flavor which was tasty. About 2.00 cheaper than a "Filiberto's" I'd give it a 4/5

Great carne asada soft tacos. Quick, about the right price. Excellent.

Google
First time here and have been watching these locations go up like crazy! Peaceful and comfortable atmosphere, ordered at the counter and sat ourselves until they dropped off our order, was out quick and hot, complimentary chips and salsa (chips were very good) I ordered the 3 mini chimi's with rice and beans. Came with guacamole, lettuce, and tomato and it was a lot of food for a great price (around $13 I believe) husband ordered the red chili burro with rice and beans which he loved and we are very picky on our Mexican food having lived in Globe, AZ for five years. Our bill out the door was $30!!! Not bad at all and can't wait to to back for more!!!

Google
I was in area so I drove through. Their chicken fried burrito with sauce and jalapeño cream cheese was very good. I ordered a side of jalapeno cream cheese because that’s the best part! Love how they give rice instead of rice and beans. The young lady at the drive up was very customer service oriented, which means a lot to me.

I had my first experience at someburros today, and I will definitely be returning! I was greeted with a smile by the cashier, Brooklyn. I told her it was my first time in and wasn’t sure how this worked, she explained to me I can either dine-in or order to go, I chose to dine-in. I wanted something light and not too filling. She recommended the two beef tacos with rice and beans. She was also kind enough to describe the juices they offered as well as the coffees. I was a little hesitant to order coffee, considering it wasn’t a coffee shop, but she made my coffee even better than my local coffee shop! She recommended cinnamon sugar with whipped cream, which made it 10 times better! My food was brought to me promptly and it was exactly what I was looking for. I complimented her great customer service and she was very appreciative and we got to talking about her history working here, and she explained to me that one of their values is treating their customers as their own family due to them being a family own restaurant. I was very pleased with my food, the atmosphere, and the amazing customer service. I can’t wait to come back, especially for that delicious coffee😊

Google
Yeppers, another treating myself to my favorite local spot SOME BURROs, always fresh and delicious, my go-to is the cheese enchilada, extra lettuce and bean tostada. You gotta try this place if you haven't, if you have.... you're probably like me and won't go anywhere else.

Yelp
I love my Someburros. If you are a native of the Valley like me, then you grew up eating at Poncho's Mexican Food. I remember fighting with my siblings over that basket of sopapillas. The Vasquez family (longtime owners of Poncho's) opened the first Someburros in 1986. We now have several of these family-owned, fast-casual restaurants all over the Valley. They specifically cater to young families on a budget. If you follow my check-ins on Yelp, you know I stop at Someburros quite often. I constantly have cravings for some chips and that bottle of yummy hot sauce. Their hot sauce is pretty popular and I love getting a pint of it to go whenever I stop in. Someburros' menu consists of traditional Mexican food made from family recipes from Sonora, Mexico. Their signature Pollo Fundido is my personal favorite. Another favorite of mine is their Albondigas Soup that they serve in the Fall. In addition to food, they have horchata, alcohol and churros! They keep a calendar on the wall that highlights food specials and Valley events. Taco Tuesdays, Cinco de Mayo and ASU football games are big celebration days here at Someburro's with special discounts on some of their food. If you are hosting a big party, Someburros caters large platters of party-sized portions of their popular items. This location is in Tempe right next to ASU campus. If you want good Mexican food made quick, Someburros is always an easy choice. Someburros has drive-thru service if you are in a hurry. You can also order ahead. Someburros a rewards programs that has special discounts.

Yelp
David B tried to charge me $4 for a large cup of WATER. It was 430 on Friday afternoon 111 degrees. The cups cost pennies at most. Disgusting to try and grift people in such a way. Do better.

Yelp
If you've been to Someburros then you know they are all consistently pretty good. It wasn't too busy at lunch and my food came out quickly. A chicken taco, cheese enchilada with rice and beans made for a nice lunch at a fair price.
google avatar

Yelp
Someburros is my favorite fast casual Mexican place in Phoenix. It's about 100 times better than any of the 'Bertos chains, better prices, higher quality, and recipes that are actually unique. I'm unsure how you could rate this place poorly, I've eaten here literally hundreds of times and never once had a bad meal or bad service. Just go
google avatar

Stacy S.

Yelp
The burritos were soggy with sauce. Also overly salty. Lots of food, but just couldn't eat it.
google avatar

Karen W.

Yelp
For some reason the Someburros closer to us doesn't offer breakfast until 10:30 and we wanted an earlier breakfast so we ordered online from this location for a 9 AM pickup. We placed an order for several breakfast burros and it was ready right on time. I appreciated that even though it was a large order, all our burros were nicely wrapped in foil, and labeled. As for the taste? It was consistent with other locations in that it was good! We got one of each breakfast burro on the menu so everyone could have some variety. My personal breakfast burro favorites here are the verde scramble and the el diablo. If I needed to get breakfast from a Someburros location before 10:30 I'd go here again. Details: - Open 7 days a week 9 AM- 9 PM - Drive thru available

Yelp
Solid flavors but scarce portions, at least in my carne asada bowl. I knew $10.65 for a bowl that included guacamole was too good to be true! The rod burro, however, was massive! Definitely a better bang for your buck.
google avatar

Brad W.

Yelp
The potato egg onion burrito contained too much egg whites. It needs to be scrambled for me to enjoy it. ALSO, the mild sauce had no flavor at all.
google avatar

Alyssa L.

Yelp
I haven't had anything bad from here, so far. Everything I have tried, I have liked. So far, I really love cheese enchiladas with a fried egg on top, and I love their machaca breakfast burrito, along with the chorizo burrito. I have never eaten in, my husband usually orders and picks up, so I have nothing for the ambiance. As for service, they have never given us a wrong order, they're accommodating, and the food is delicious. Also, the carne asada is crazy delicious, and so are the aguas frescas. Please try it!

Spencer R.

Yelp
Came to redeem my free chicken taco coupon, and there out of chicken tacos? I get it you run out of stuff, but don't give out coupons for stuff when you don't have it...Not very cool!

Yelp
I got the Egg, Bacon, Cheese, and Potato breakfast burrito (see picture). The cost of this burrito was right around seven dollars. I found it very filling and tasty for breakfast. Ordering this and choosing to dine it also got us a side of chips with our meal as well. The staff was very friendly and nice, right as we were getting up to leave one of the workers was already there picking up our trash for us. Which helped get the restaurant looking really clean all around. There is also outdoor seating and a drive-through if you do not want to eat inside the restaurant. When ordering your food inside you will not have to wait long at all to receive your food. I found that during my stay, the food had gotten to me and my group in a very short time, which I appreciated. If you are someone who does not like or want a breakfast burrito there are many other great-looking options to choose from for your food. For beverages, they had the standard fountain drinks that you can think of as well as some different types of lemonade and things like that. Also, as you can see in one of the pictures, if you are feeling like it you can always treat yourself to a margarita. If you find yourself in Tempe, Arizona I would definitely recommend Someburros to anyone looking for a great breakfast burrito to start of their morning.

Yelp
Such affordable food that is actually delicious. I went on a Sunday and very few people were there. Seems like it's mainly takeout, which is what I got, but they have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating if you want to hang there. CJ at the front was very patient with me while I decided what to order! I got the Rod burrito, which is a huge wet burrito that comes with a bunch of things on the side, and the simple Machaca burrito, which was seven beautiful ounces of shredded beef. It wasn't too oily or too salty. I would definitely go back for a quick burrito with lots of fillings. The rustic decor is adorable, too. I love the effort they put into it!
google avatar

Tina S.

Yelp
At all costs, avoid this location because it's near ASU and the wait times are ridiculous. I have been sitting in the drive-through for 21 minutes now and I've only moved one car.
google avatar

Yelp
This place used to be one of my favorite fast food Mexican spots , but it's going downhill. I ordered chicken enchiladas and came home with no chicken. Another time they forgot to add an item in my order.

T.K. M.

Yelp
Beyond disappointed in this location. Burritos had no filling- I did not order a burrito special- since today they had $4 burritos. It is definitely rationed. The child's burrito is just a lump of tortilla. Go the extra 3 miles and go to the Mill location.
google avatar

Mo R.

Yelp
Went here for dinner. After eating part of each enchilada I realized that the meat in the beef enchilada was pink and the chicken meat seemed to also have pink in it. Highly concerned that they are not fully cooking the food at this restaurant.
google avatar

Beachy K.

Yelp
I have eaten at this chain, different locations, several times. I usually get the same thing, the beef taco with potatoes and the works. It's so good and my favorite thing to eat at SB. Every other Someburros makes it really good. This place I've tried twice and both times was horrible. The meat is questionable looking and too spicy. The salsa is gross. The chicken looks disgusting. My child wouldn't eat it. My ASU kid agreed this location is off, terrible, not the same as others we've been to. It's so bizarre for a chain to be so far off the bar. I'm not coming back to this one.
google avatar

Leilani G.

Yelp
Their breakfast burritos are HUGE!!! I ordered the bacon, egg, cheese & potato burrito and it was much larger than I expected, definitely shareable if you have a smaller morning appetite like I do. The insides were delicious, nice and melty, and well seasoned. The tortilla was the only thing that felt slightly undercooked to me. I also ordered a churro on the side which was so delicious, sweet, and perfectly cooked, it's an absolute must-try with your order!

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
Obsessed with their hot sauce and chips. All the food is delicious. This place is 1,000 times better than any other fast food Mexican and at a reasonable price too. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Trish A.

Yelp
I have been to this restaurant and order from them many times and this is the 1st time that I've gotten what I've always ordered like this and when I talked to the manager they said that this is normal. How is this appetizing you can't even eat it it's not edible!

Yelp
I was really looking forward to trying out  Someburros after craving fish tacos, rice and beans, but I was extremely disappointed in the quality.  The service was good.  Emma was nice over the phone and when I picked it up but the quality was very subpar. I am shocked that that glob of batter was called a tamale.  My rice, beans, and "tamale" were already mixed when I got home, almost as if it were shaken before being put in the bag.  I originally thought the fish was just too crispy. I couldn't see it through the cabbage to tell.  I didn't mind all the extra cabbage but the fish was burnt.  The fish was burnt and overcooked.   My tortillas seemed stale. Nothing soft about it.  It was like in had to tear it with my teeth just to eat the taco.  I do want to say the vegetables were fresh. They did offer to correct the experience after I posted to Google, but I am not sure if that was for show or if it will really be done

Yelp
My GF loves this place. So I decided to try it again. Food was ok, weird that they refused to put my fish taco on a hard shell. Like for real, refused to, really bad customer service.

Riley M.

Yelp
You know it's a good, authentic Mexican restaurant when they have fresh, homemade chips and salsa. The chips were perfectly crisp and crunchy, and the salsa had options of mild or spicy. I personally went with mild, but I'm sure spicy is just as delicious and flavorful. I also had a bean and cheese burrito, which is like the most basic thing on the menu, but it was sooooo good, and I'm sure the rest of the menu is also insane. Everybody was so nice, and I loved the vibes of the restaurant interior, from the fun chalkboard calendar to the Spanish words to the bright colors, everything was so fun and definitely elevated the whole experience. All in all, this experience was ¡¡¡MUY BIEN!!! I definitely recommend, 10/10.

jenna o.

Yelp
I want to like this place the food is decent, the service is just really questionable! This morning I picked up a $250+ catering order that I also tipped 15% on. The restaurant was empty when I came in to pick up. The girl put all the food out on the counter and practically ran back to go chit chat with her coworkers. It is a serious piss off to spend all that money and not be offered help to carry. I had to do multiple trips to my car to load everything while the girl I just tipped hid behind the counter. I'm only writing this review because this was not the first time that the service here has been bad.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong I absolutely love this place but I have to give it 3 stars for my taco experience. I typically get the chicken fundido, burrito, or quesadilla and they're all amazing! I decided to switch it up and get tacos for Taco Tuesday. The taste quality-wise was still good however, the tacos fell apart so easily that it made me not even want to eat them. I think it must be that the juices from the beef and ground beef taco are so much that they soften up the tortilla and cause them to fall apart. The chicken taco didn't fall apart as easily however, it still wasn't that sturdy. I'm thinking they may need to drain the juice from the meats before putting them on the tacos.

Yelp
$8 Carne Asada burrito is mostly tortilla and beans. Watery horchata. I can get a better burrito from taco bell. Not coming back.

Yelp
So I've never been to a Someburros before. I had it once about 10 years ago catered, but not since. My friend and I walked in and were immediately greeted by a really nice guy behind the counter. He was super patient about everything - my friend and I both had questions since we'd never been in - and he was super nice to interact with (Bobby, I'm talking about you!). I ended up getting 3 carne asada tacos (which were super delicious) and my friend got 3 bean burros, a tamale, and 2 crunchy tacos. PRO TIP: the asada tacos are on the smaller side. Luckily, my friend ordered more than she meant to and ended up sharing with me. Also, they serve chips and (REALLY EFFIN HOT) salsa along with the meal. Which is a nice little perk. The restaurant was very clean and not over crowded, although getting to it took some doing thanks to the construction. All in all, good food, decent prices, and a really nice staff! I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
Just had lunch at this restaurant. The staff was very nice and friendly and the seating area was clean. BUT the food was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! This place makes Taco Bell look like a 5 Star restaurant. I've had better frozen burritos from the market than this place. I've warned you all, now its your fault if you go there.
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
Newer location was spacious. Very friendly staff. My only complaint is there are 0 Someburros in Surprise. Come on, man!
google avatar

Luke S.

Yelp
good food. it's really good for fast food mexican. but why in the world am i waiting 25 minutes in the drive thru!! it's not even busy inside. i came here for something quick i would've gone somewhere. stupid as fuck man.
google avatar

Yelp
First time visit. Busy location. Both of us had green chili w meat burros, 5.95, one was enchilada style, +$1.95, comes w shredded lettuce and tomatoes on side. It was good! Complimentary bowl of chips w salsa/person. Hot red chilli salsa cleared my sinuses and grabbing the water glass. I'm no lightweight when it comes to hot so this was real hot!!Loved it! I've never heard of this chain but info on wall says Est. 1986. Nice atmosphere and good service.

Yelp
I've ordered from here frequently. Three out of the last four orders, they have forgotten to include a major item in my order. I pick up through the drive-through, have confidence that it's going to be the correct order. Unfortunately, I get home and the item is missing. Disappointing. I don't know what's wrong, I have submitted the issues online and every time they give me a refund with a mediocre apology. I want to keep on going here, it's close to home and the food is good. Unfortunately, the service is bad

Chandler L.

Yelp
I'm usually not the one to post a review, but this took me by surprise yesterday. My boyfriend and I went to dine in yesterday around 6pm and there was no line, we were able to order right away and maybe only 3 tables inside. We only got 2 combos and we were waiting for almost 40 minutes for our food. I went up to the counter to ask where our order was and the woman seemed a bit confused and ran back to the kitchen. She said that they lost our ticket? Im not sure if they were just backed up with to go orders or something but the lack of communication and customer service we received was pretty poor. I used to work for this company in the past and I'm just very disappointed because it's been almost a year since I've ate at Someburro's and was looking forward to it. We ended up leaving because we had somewhere to be & was taking almost an hour for mini chimis and tacos. Probably won't return to this location :/

Yelp
I just tried to order the "Pollo Fundido" from Someburros via DoorDash. I went to their menu online, and not only does it not match the item descriptions in the restaurant, it makes no sense. See photos. The only item I could find that seemed similar read "Fundido DD." And there was no description of what it is, what is included (rice, beans, chips, beverage), and the strangest part yet was the beverage section. It required me to select a beverage but the only option is "no beverage"? WTF? So I decide to call the store to clarify. A woman answered and I said: "Hi, I'm on DoorDash looking to order. Is this 'Fundido DD' actually the 'Pollo Fundido'?" She says: "Yes, it is." Then I asked: "Does it comes with a beverage? There's a requirement to check no beverage." She replies: "Actually we're not taking DoorDash orders anymore because we're too busy. But you can check the other location on Mill Ave." Then all of sudden the DoorDash Someburros Rural Rd. page changes status from "open" to "unavailable." Like the moment after she said that. Yeah. Well, I'm handicapped and I'm not able to just go to the other location so easily. And how can I tell what I am ordering from these screenshots? I've been eating your Chimichangas since the 1990s, and I don't appreciate people wasting my time.

Hector L.

Yelp
This is the third time this place does this! I thought maybe it was a one time thing. This location is getting stingy with their food portions. $12.00 for a burrito combo with "rice and beans" and there is more lettuce than "beans" and the rice portion has significantly gotten smaller. Would not recommend coming to this location. Taco boys across the street gives more food portions for less and it's authentic! Only reason I didn't go there is because there is always a long line.

Yelp
It looks nice from the outside. It's across from Mory boutique hotel so it makes it convenient. Hubby wanted to try the churro burrito so we ate here lastnight. He said the guy taking his order understood how much extra extra cheese I wanted and no extra beans in my burrito, as people tend to do. Unfortunately, my burrito sucked and was such a huge disappointment that I will not eat here again nor recommend them even though hubby did like his. How hard is a plain bean and extra extra cheese burrito!?! My burrito looked pretty skinny laying in the bag, but while holding it, all of the beans, yes beans bec there wasn't any cheese, slid down...the first top half of my burrito ended up being ALL TORTILLA!!!! Then at the very last bit-some cheese. I warned my hubby when reading the reviews before going, but he really wanted that churro burrito so much that he offered to go somewhere else for me. Loving him I would not have him go 2 places so I ate here, but next time...I'll go get something else.

Nicole M.

Yelp
My favorite fast casual Mexican food in Phoenix. Love the pollo fundido, cheese crisp with green Chile strips and tacos. So yummy!

Yelp
There is a reason I live in Tempe. When u can't to visit ASU we had lunch at taco cabana next to zia records. I don't remember the food if it was good or bad I just remember it was November and the weather was beautiful. And I thought how cool it was to have Mexican food in the winter wearing shorts. Last night it was cold and my meal was gross. Someburros used to be really good. But maybe the only thing they serve worth warring is the green burro. When I try anything else it sucks. I got a churro the guy told me they are really good. Wrong over cooked no flavor. The rice was crunchy. I am pretty sure rice shouldn't be crunchy. The hot sauce wasn't spicy it was salty. So salty I couldn't eat it. I have been here enough times over the years to know it's not the same The biggest complaint is the crispy chicken tacos so crispy the chicken inside was crispy as well as the shell. Beautiful remodel on the building but your food is vial. I really am upset that I didn't demand a refund and not suffer through trying to eat it I have to be honest I can't remember a restaurant with three stars that stayed in business very long. This place has become an embarrassment to asu and Tempe if you are here visiting please don't eat here and get the wrong idea about our city Just out of sentimentality I hate giving one star. I remember when I was living in Texas wondering if this place was still around one day when I wanted a green chili burrito. My fiancée said when we walked in that she went to school with the owner who's parents started the business. I feel obligated to leave a one star review to send a signal and message it's really that bad. Obviously the rest of the bad reviews with an over all three stars hasn't got the message across. Get your act together put some quality control protocols in place. Please fire the chef and re train the kitchen staff

Yelp
I am a fan of Someburros and love that they have opened a location closer to home. I normally call the order in and drive thru and pick it up, easy breezy! This trip I was picking up a #9, two shredded beef tacos with beans and rice. The tacos are what I crave, they are perfectly fried and the beef perfectly favored, topped with cheese and lettuce. Sometimes you just want a messy hard taco and Someburros fulfills that need! Service was fast and friendly, I am sure once ASU is back in session, it might get a little busy, but I have found this location to be less busy than the baseline location. The family and I love Someburros so I know we will back back!

Yelp
I really enjoy the food here and I lve that this location is close to ASU. What a great business move to add a location here. Food and service is consistently good. Restaurant is clean and much less crowded than the Tempe Baseline location during lunch. I bet once the ASU students realize how amazing the food is, it will be hard to get a seat at lunch. My salad was the daily special. It was less than $10 including a drink and really fresh. There was plenty of avocado in it. Many restaurants skimp on avocado but these guys don't. I've also had the chimichanga with chicken with red sauce and OMG it was huge. Parking is in the rear and there is a good amount compared to other establishments on the area. There is also a drive through in case you're still in your pj's and need to eat quick! (This is for students who may be getting up late!) I plan to eat here often as I connect with my former work crew.

Yelp
I finally tried some burros on the recommendation of an acquaintance. I ordered two carne asada soft tacos, And cherry chimis for desert. I was asked if I wanted some chips, and I said yes. I said "and salsa, please". They put more "salsa" in the bag. I had to sit outside. They had no inside seating at all, which I can sort of understand but they certainly could've had four tables set up inside with plenty of room in between them during this Covid 19 pandemic. The tacos turned out to be smallish street tacos, for which I paid $3.50 each. They had one corn tortilla shell, Carne Asada, onions and cilantro. I like my tacos with salsa and sour cream. I didn't think to ask for the sour cream, and was so disappointed about the salsa that I did not bother asking for sour cream. Unfortunately, the salsa was not my idea of salsa. It was nothing more than taco sauce with a few microscopic bits of something in them. They were given in a little plastic soufflé cup that held about an ounce. It was too hot to eat with the chips, If you could manage to dip the chips in the tiny cup, which was impossible. All in all, the lack of a decent salsa at a Mexican restaurant ruined it for me. I almost think the tacos would've been fabulous if I'd had decent salsa. The cherry chimis were awesome, and served with whipped cream. Two small tacos and dessert, and a two dollar tip: $15.89. Just too much money. I won't be back.

Yelp
Had SomeBurros on Frank Lloyd Wright in North Scottsdale. Omg!! BEST MEXICAN FOOD in town. Traditional enchilada, taco and tostada. Staff is great. I think it's family owned and operated. Fast casual I would call it for style. Cold beer and good Mexican food! Very clean and practicing social distancing standards. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We have been going to Someburros since the 90s and this location has let us down several times, including on 2/25/21. My --#7 green Chile combo had 2 (two) small chunks of beef about the size of chiclets and the rest was only juice. $10.00-what a joke. We did get a $10 QR code refund, but I don't plan on going back anytime soon. When we called the store after we got home, they said they were out of green chili-so they "chose" to fill our order with a gravy burrito for $10. The Vasquez family would be unhappy to see long time customers go for lack of quality control. Please fix this!!

Yelp
Today was the grand opening and had heard on the local news there were free burritos all day! Sadly it was only for first 100 people. Sad day. But still decided to get a shredded chicken chimichanga and margarita! They also gave us chips and salsa with our meal. Overall the food was average. The chicken didn't have any taste so I had to add a lot of salsa. But it did come with lettuce, guac, and sour cream. The margaritas were okay. A little sweet for me and not very strong. The atmosphere however is great! They did an awesome job decorating. It was nice and clean! If I get another craving for Mexican food I might just stop by again.

Yelp
Someburros' new Tempe spot is great! First and foremost, the service is awesome. We were welcomed with friendly faces, and didn't even have the chance to be overwhelmed by the extensive menu because our cashier walked us through it step by step. Lots of customizable options, and breakfast served all day! Chips and salsa come free with your meal, which honestly makes a meal for me, so I was sold then. The actual food itself wasn't anything to write home about, but it did the job. You'll find your way to Someburros if you're looking for a fast casual meal that will satisfy everyone in your party.

Yelp
The staff is friendly and the place looks nice, but that's about all it's got going for it. The food was cheap, but very unimpressive and I went with two friends who are pretty sure it got them sick the next day. There are multiple other cheap places to eat within walking distance that I would prefer.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! We walked in, and were immediately greeted. Turns out the owner was the person that made our food. It was amazing! I highly recommend the bison and cornbread. After we finished our food. Jared (owner) gave us some pumpkin cookies. That are homemade every morning at his mom's bakery. (Mama Linda's Bakeshop) Support local during these times!

Yelp
Don't go to the one on baseline the food was cold and the tacos were dry and old. Go to the one at Chandler Mall. Fresh and hot.

Yelp
4rth time using them with Grubhub. 3 out of the 4 times Someburros has messed up the order. 1st messed up the protein in a burrito I didn't say anything because mistakes happen. 2nd time I was missing an entire order. Called the store and was not helped. Told to reorder from grub hub (not a very good option seeing how I would have to pay the delivery fee again) store manager called me back a few days later and was nice and apologetic. Offered me free food next time I came in and said they would try to do better. This evening: against my better judgment tried them again. Free meal was for dine in only so once again ordered via grub hub and paid full price because in the end I'm not looking for free food, just want to get what I order. For some reason Grub hub did not offer a notes section so after we ordered we immediately called the location to make the request of no sour cream in the burrito and to add the extra side of rice I paid for into the burrito. A girl answered and took the info said the order wasn't in yet but would let the cooks know..... Food just came and no rice in the burrito (paid extra to add it) and smothered in sour cream. Such a bummer they can't get their stuff together. Their food is good but 3 strikes man. At this point it's obvious that this is the norm and not the exception. Never gunna order from them again, I've already spent too much money for such poor execution.
