Metro Detroit’s Best Breweries and Taprooms | Eater Detroit

"This neighborhood microbrewery offers a variety of IPAs, stouts and lagers, along with melomels and traditional meads. The menu also includes housemade root beer, wines and other nonalcoholic options crafted in-house, as well as selections from across the state. A small patio out back provides space to enjoy the sun. While the brewery doesn’t have its own parking lot, metered parking is available on Mack Avenue." - Courtney Burk

The beer was good. I had the Coffee at Midnight, an Imperial Stout with coffee, very tasty. The service was good. The owner is really cool. I had an unexpected and amazing time. I drove from afar to check them out, was pleasantly surprised, and ended up talking with some very nice people. I would recommend Someday to anyone looking to check out a new place (to them), and will be back.

This small neighborhood brewpub boasts an impressive selection of handcrafted beers and meads, with a focus on quality and innovation. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly staff and a cozy taproom that's perfect for relaxing with friends or enjoying a quiet drink. Google
Best microbrewery in Southeast Michigan! I absolutely LOVE all of their beers! The owner is super nice and always there to just chat. Can't say enough Great things about this place!

Google
Awesome!! This place has been open for about 6 months they tell me. The beer overall is the best I've tried, maybe ever! These guys are really good! Every beer is clean. Seriously!!

Google
A small, neighborhood style brewery that has only been open a year (4/1/2023). Right on Mack just north of Vernier, next to the Big Boy. Parking is at meters on Mack or side streets for free. There are 4 spaces behind the building but they're probably already taken. Thirteen different brews on tap at the time I visited. Offerings ranged from light American lager (think beers advertised on TV during sporting events) to ambers, reds, IPAs & stouts. 8 oz pours or 16 oz for most, 8 & 12 oz for high ABV beers. They also have house made root beer, wine, meads & non-alcoholic brews made elsewhere for those under age or driving.

Google
Delicious! We try everything on the menu. New brew? I'm tryin' it! The owners are friendly and the beer is good. Everything is brewed in small batches, so get it while it lasts. Between the beer and mead, there's something for everybody. They even have a non-alcoholic root beer. We go there almost every weekend, so you'll probably see us there. Ask the owners if we're there (we probably will be) and say Hi.

Google
One of the best beer spots in SE Michigan! Service is excellent, too. I highly recommend giving it a try if you want a great tasting beer or mead. The Hefeweizen is fantastic!

Google
Saw Matthew’s review. That guy clearly doesn’t understand the concept of “soft opening.” Very self-righteous. I thought for a soft opening it was running very smoothly. They’ll work out kinks. Anyone who disses a soft opening is really clueless. Great brewery-get in asap! Meads and beers are top-notch. No head on beers? See pix for great head…

Yelp
Went for a beer tasting event. Tried 4 beers. All of them were very good! I'm not into hoppy beers and they had a lot of variety without hops and the 4 I tried were well done! I will be back to try the rest! My favorited the 4 were the Hefeweizen and coffee at midnight. Owner and his wife are very nice. Because they have no kitchen you can bring in and or order food from restaurants and have it brought in. Well done!

Yelp
Very good beer here. The ambiance isn't the best but you get past that quickly after your first sip. One of the only places that still occasionally offers mead. We are lucky to have them close by

Yelp
Finally got here when it's open. All I can is you need to come here. Parking is limited and there is a lot across the street and it is metered . no matter, it's worth it, trust me. Had the amber, wheat, and the stained glass ipa. Companion had the out of the woods and English brown. Nothing was bad! Tonight I really preferred the amber ale and the stained glass. My companion preferred the out of the woods - didn't have the heaviness to it and will be his "go to" unless he finds something he likes better. The English brown also great and completely drinkable! No food trucks yet. Owner said hours will be expanded soon! Stay tuned!!

Yelp
Absolutely adorable little brewery tucked away in Grosse Pointe Woods. The very definition of small batch brewing, you don't see the giant tanks behind the scenes. They have about 9 beers on tap and 3 meads I believe. The owners are absolutely wonderful and happy to let you sample until you find the one you like. The Midwest IPA was my fave but every single beer I tasted was delicious. Secondly, I'm not a mead fan, but their blueberry mead has amazing depth, character and flavor very much akin to a port wine. It was wonderful. Absolutely will be grabbing a bottle of that, cause at 14% it's worth every drop.

Yelp
Great service and beer. I didn't get to stay too long and so I wasn't able to try too many of the beers. I am sure that I'll be rating this place a 5 after my next visit. Glad I finally made it over there and looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Questions regarding beer? Hold on my personal life is apparently more important. We live in the neighborhood. Visited here twice. Seems like they have already decided on their "regulars".

Yelp
Lovely spot, friendly welcoming atmosphere and a nice, slower pace than lots of other pubs these days. They brew their own, and it's excellent! In particular, I want to recommend their mead -- I had blueberry and a new banana cream pie flavored one, both are spectacular! The banana mead also seems perfect for cooking with, but I'd have trouble using it for anything other than straight-up drinking it. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Excellent beer, even better mead. A niche brewery doing almost just-beer, with excursions into mead. I have not had a bad or even mediocre beer here. The IPS's are the flagship beers, and yet even the (normally boring) lagers and pilsners are excellent. Don't try the Sunday Afternoon mead. You almost certainly won't like it. You'll want to leave more for me. No food (other than bags of salty snacks). Just good beer. And mead. (but not the Sunday Afternoon, which you won't want to try.)

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stop in to Someday Brewing. If you follow me, you know that brewery hopping is one of my passions! When I heard this spot was opening, I was super excited to check it out! I work in this area frequently, but they don't open until 5. That was a bummer, as I typically leave the area earlier. I decided to stick around today so that I could stop in for a cold beer. I arrived just as they were opening, and was pleasantly surprised to see convenient parking on the street as well as behind the building. This is a small, neighborhood Brewery, which is really nice as it has a very personal feel to it. It was nice to meet the owners. They are a husband and wife team and they both have jobs during the day. This is why the hours are evening only. They do not currently have any other employees. So it's all them. They change up their beers frequently but provide a wide variety, so there is sure to be a style for every beer lover. They also have a lot of beers on tap for such a small brewery! I enjoyed chatting with the bartender as well as the other patrons who came in. They also participate in Tagabrew, so I grabbed my tag. If they expand their hours, I'm sure I will be back!

Yelp
Great drink spot with good service - The Citra Haze is phenomenal! Looks like they are still finishing the back dining area where they brew, excited to see the finished product!

Yelp
Hands down the best brewery locally! Small no food but Anthony the brewer/owner is nothing but first class! Go check em out

Yelp
The ambience is perfect. The service is great and the beer is awesome. I would go back again with a bunch of people that I know and we would have fun. It is a great place to hang out.

Yelp
It was such a cute little brewery. Stacy is a very pleasant and nice bartender. Tried a new drink, which was their Mead product, and totally recommend it.
