Somerset Bar

This place is amazing. Top-tier drinks and service, and the ambiance is impeccable. I highly recommend going during daylight hours for the full experience, akin to a boozy greenhouse. Shared six of their signature cocktails with my girlfriend, all fantastic, and the staff was beyond accommodating. Do yourself a favor and take a ride share, you’ll lose track of time in this place. Ethereal and transcendent, this is a must visit for even the most casual cocktail enthusiast.

Not only was this the coolest bar I’ve ever been to, the bartenders were OVER THE TOP kind and attentive. We were visiting for the night and they were so helpful suggesting places to go and things to see. Super impressed by the customer service but the espresso martini was also the best I’ve ever had. All in all our favorite place of the night, so happy we stopped in. Thanks for a great experience!

This is probably my new favorite bar in the Cincinnati area. We visited for the first time this weekend on a rainy day and it felt like we were in a different country to be honest! The DJ was playing tribal music, my drink was all cute and sparkly, and we were surrounded by the most gorgeous plants everywhere! There are alcoholic and non-alcoholic options and there is a cute area inside that is set up as a library lounge— very cozy. I don’t believe there are food options (we did see a food truck outside, but not sure if it’s open). All in all 10/10 recommend!

Somerset Bar is a whole vibe! I went with my friend on a mom’s trip, and the atmosphere was like nothing I’ve experienced—so unique and magical. Not all bartenders were the same, though. One started off great, but when I asked about a drink I’d never heard of, his attitude totally shifted. He seemed annoyed, and it really threw me off. I get that it was busy, but it was still disappointing, so I closed my tab with him. I walked over to the other side & thankfully, another bartender (off the clock, no less!) noticed I was waiting patiently and kindly offered to make me a drink. That sweet gesture turned the night around. All in all—gorgeous spot, great vibes, but some staff could work on consistency.

Came here for a stop during my wife’s birthday. Drinks were incredible, but the ambience is what makes it! It seems there’s something for every style and mood. You’ve just gotta go to experience it.

This bar is always my #1 place to go to, whether it's a special occasion, friends outside of town visiting, or a normal weekend. The drinks are always peak quality and the ambience is by far the best in Cincinnati! I always recommend this place anytime anyone asks what the best bars are in town.

This unique bar is fantastic. Their patio has so many hidden spots and some feel completely secluded. The service is great, I ordered signature drinks from three different bartenders and each time they were constantly delicious. Also, each one made great old fashions.

I enjoy this place very much. It was chill. The vibes in here were amazing. The bartender helped us select something from the menu. We tried 3 different drinks. All were delicious. I would come back again if I were in the area. I highly recommend stopping in for a visit at least one time. Good time trying to find the bathroom, too 😊

What a lovely little gem of a spot! The greenery, outdoor almost "spiritual" space, allows you to escape the city while being in the city! The drinks were on point, staff nice and knowledgeable. You really are transported to a beautiful oasis that you forget you're in the city. There was a DJ on Sunday daytime that had the perfect vibe as well. Can't wait to go again!!!

Such a cool spot. You would never imagine how dope this place is from just the outside. Once you go inside it opens up into this beautiful garden like area and the outside, courtyard is incredible. Truly so many little hidden spots to discover. Cocktails are top notch and really thought out too.

Walking into Somerset bar in the Over the Rhine are of Cincinnati is like walking into a courtyard in Morocco or Tahiti. The city sidewalks and buildings fade away as you wind through the forest of bamboo and large tropical plants. The design allows for small intimate sitting areas to tables which accommodate larger parties. The cocktails are creative and well-crafted and the wine list extensive. The tables were occupied by a range of customers-ladies who lunch, couples, groups, and singles-everyone seemed to feel comfortable and fascinated by the exotic surroundings. I recommend it as you can get a wonderfully crafted cocktail and a "trip" to a romantic bamboo-forested hideaway and never leave Ohio .

The bouncer was super nice and talked with me about Wisconsin because I had a Wisconsin ID. We came to Somerset on a Saturday night in the winter and it was packed but our group of 5 was still able to find a seat. The cocktails are about $12 which is fair because their cocktails are true mixology. The inside has lots of plants and is like a greenhouse. We were able to get drinks super quick and close out in a timely manner. I got the Curio Punch and really enjoyed it. The summer would be the perfect time to come here.

I was really hoping there would be more plants, haha but I did go at night and it was so crowded you could barely move. They were playing some dance music in the main hall. The drink menu was small and I asked for a simple chocolate martini and they said they don't carry anything chocolate. They did make an espresso lavender martini thing and it was okay, drinkable but not what I wanted. The bartenders seemed like it was an inconvenience for us to be there. The drinks got made quickly though. Like I said it was sooo crowded. It was loud even outside with the music that was playing out there as well. It has the potential to be a beautiful place, I'd like to see it in the daytime. But I guess maybe I just was expecting a different vibe.

The ambiance here is amazing! Came with a couple of friends on a saturday night, we really liked the vibe and the crowd was pretty chill. I really love the decor, the plants, the seating. I ordered a margarita, pinot noir, and one of their seasonal drinks the ube margarita. I loved the ube marg, so delicious, but wasn't crazy about the other drinks. I usually stick to wines and margaritas as my favorites, and I can't lie the ones I had here were kind of mid. I guess I would just say these weren't their specialties, their signature drinks seemed a little more quality. But the ambiance was really worth coming here, I think I would just have to know what options are good if I was planning on coming here with some regularity.

Def one of the best bars I've ever been to. Unique, really fun inside, and can't wait to experience the outside patio when the weather warms up! Mocktail options were great and service was very helpful and nice!

Checked out Somerset on a Monday night with some out of town visitors, there was a good crowd for a Monday! The bartenders were super nice, we all got different cocktails & a mocktail and they were all delicious. Somerset is the best if you're looking for cool vibes, even in the winter the lounge area is super cool and comfortable, I can't wait to come back in the summer and check out the patio!

Very cool vibe here, out in the garden. They're awesome little nooks and places to sit and chill with friends. Bartenders are quick to get your drinks, which are delicious. Definitely a must try.!

I absolutely love this bar! It doesn't feel like you are in Cincinnati when visiting somerset. The vibes and the ambiance are everything! It gets pretty packed on the weekends but during the weekday it's more chill and less of a crowd. I tried a cucumber cocktail and the lavender margarita. Both are tasty and flavorful but neither gave even a buzz and I'm a super lightweight. A lot of the mixers are premixed assuming to help keep up with the crowd however the cocktails are like drinking juice.

My friends and I LOVE Somerset! You seriously cannot beat the ambience and vibe of this bar. The cocktail menu is always interesting, I've never tried something that I didn't love. I highly recommend checking this place out! You can go with your friends, parents, partner- everyone will enjoy it.

Cincy gem foresure. Whenever I had family and friends in town this is the bar I take them too. They have full open bar, all around huge table for bar seating. They also have lots of seating outdoor as well. One of my favorite things about this bar is the gorgeous well kept plants! The service is pretty good. I will say on a busy weekend it's hard to get a bartender to take your order. They also usually have a diverse selection of food trucks that often pop up on the weekends to serve food. I've had the yuca fries and they were so delicious. My go to spot for a good time and good drinks. The I've margarita is highly recommended.

Somserset is hands down THE best cocktail bar in OTR and Cincinnati on the whole. Walking in is like immersing yourself into a tropical alternate universe. The interior was designed incredibly thoughtfully, down to the colorful wallpaper, boho decor, and myriad of plants, large and small. It feels like a classy jungle oasis. Not to mention, the drinks themselves are fantastic. The sangria and Freaky Tiki specifically are delicious. If you only have time to go to one bar in Cincy, Somerset is it!

Such a vibe. Great mocktails, too - which is important as a social girl who doesn't drink! Husband does drink and says their cocktails are amazing, too, of course. Always bring friends here when they're visiting and want a cool outdoor Cincinnati experience.

Is this my new favorite cocktail lounge? Yes. Did I properly document this adventure? No. Will you just need to take my word for it? Just go and discover for yourself! It was COLD in March in Cincinnati y'all. Like wear your parka cold. We needed some spring vibes so off we went! Talk about escaping to another land! This brought all the light, sun, plants, and so joy just follows. We got cozy in the couch and lost in conversation. Mostly about how magical it all is. I had to try their espresso martini and it was one of the best I've had! Layers of flavor with just a bit of cream and not sweet! I could have stayed there all day!

A beautiful place to hang out and chill with your friends. Enjoyed the huge patio area with different places to hang and the bartenders are really nice and welcoming. Of course the drinks are great, but the scenery is a definite plus.

The decor alone is reason enough to visit. I want to go back during the day to see what it's like with sunlight streaming in.

This is the most beautiful bar I have ever been in. If you're into plants, natural lighting, and an earthy feel. You will want to move in. I want to live here.

Super interesting bar in OTR. They had plenty of outside and inside seating. Plenty of bartenders in multiple areas could help you get drinks. The area around it isn't great so I'd go with a group.

as a plant lover this place was a dream. Great local craft beer selection and the service was even better.

This place was so cool!!! Pictures do not do it justice. You are just in this little greenhouse oasis in the city, drinking the coolest drinks. Everyone around is nice because it's such a great place that everyone is in a good mood. The bartenders are effortlessly cool and speedy. I will definitely return

I tried this bar while in Cincinnati for work and was so impressed with the trendy, bright, and relaxing vibe. I ordered the Malay Jungle Bird and really enjoyed the balance of the drink, and the bartender was friendly and allowed us to sample before buying. I recommend coming here on a sunny day to enjoy the natural light and outdoor space!

Such a beautiful spot! The plants and decor are a must see. Pictures alone don't do it justice. The patio is tranquil and great for space. The inside has a nice bar, and the drinks are top tier. It is the perfect chill vibe after a long day.

Think I've found my favorite bar in CVG. Nicely priced drinks, fast and prompt service and friendly staff. Also the place is absolutely beautiful! The glass roof, the lounge, the courtyard. Amazing. Will definitely come back!

What a unique place! Neighborhood is still evolving, but this place was so cool. The Ube Margarita was so awesome, and the other cocktails were so lovely. Plants everywhere with an international flair. We all had a nice time.

Absolutely love Somerset! The drinks, the space, the people, all great. They offer plenty of cocktails that are so pretty to enjoy in their beautiful space. And they have plenty of that beautiful space to bring all your friends! Service can run a little slower when they get busy, but it's worth the wait, and they stay on top of things! Order at the bar and pick a spot in their greenhouse style bar area, their cozy indoor seating to the side, or their large courtyard that includes heated spaces during chillier months. During warmer months, they also have a food bus with rotating options. Love the Lychee Martini (those boba pearls at the end are such a fun touch). The Sakura Spritz is also tasty and so beautiful! Their cocktail menus do rotate though, so come ready to try their latest! They have happy hour M-F from 4-7 where you can get $2 off cocktails, spirits, drafts, and wine.

In terms of creativity in crafting great cocktails, this place is tops. I sipped the Tulum Tonic which blended agave, jalapeño, and many other "sabores Mexicanos". My partner savored the off-menu Paloma, which was also delicious. Somerset also takes the prize for its international ambiance and eclectic displays. It's a hidden gem.

Just love the vibe and the hot spot. Came here after Reds Fest, service is great and the drinks are stellar! So glad that this place and space exists. I will return soon. Can't wait to meet you here!

The food truck out front (don't remember the name) had AMAZING pozole. The staff was knowledgeable, courteous and fast. The ambiance is super chill. Not at all what I was expecting

This place is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The main bar looks like a greenhouse. They have an outdoor area that could rival most parks for its beautiful plants and kitschy stuff both inside and out. The signature drinks are fantastic. Unfortunately they do not offer food or else I'd go there more often.

Four stars for the scene. I love the decor and the music and will definitely return. Three stars for the drink. I ordered one of my fav cocktails; a Lychee Martini. The cocktail lacked lychee flavor. I asked the bartender if he could add more lychee flavor, and he informed me of the impossibility because they prepare their cocktails in batches for speed of service. This was disappointing because his energy gave "Sorry 'bout your luck", and he failed to offer an alternative. On my next visit, I will try a different cocktail and bartender. This place is way too cool for mediocre drinks.

Somerset has amazing drinks and a GREAT atmosphere. I have been here a few times and each time I have sampled different items from their cocktail list. The house infuse some of their alcohols so it's always fun to try their signature drinks! The space itself is also very interesting as there are multiple rooms/areas that you can hang out in with each of them having their own different vibe, music, and sound level. I prefer to start in the living room area that tends to be quieter and has its own private bar. After having a drink here, I like to move into the greenhouse where it is a little bit louder but still inside. Lastly, I always find myself outside and one of the cool seating areas - whether it be the old train car or under one of their wooden structures. In each room there are so many different decorations to take in you could spend all day looking in every corner for the next thing to admire Overall there's so much to see and different things to drink here - definitely will be back again!

Still absolutely love the vibes of this bar. The lights, the decor, and the PLANTS! Always appreciate a fancy cocktail. We've had mixed service and the prices are definitely high. Some servers are a bit cold and short, but recently we were served by a very friendly bartender who I bonded over about our cats, haha. While it's always busy, we have succeeded in finding a place to sit and hang at every visit!

Monica and Alexis were so amazing. Monica gave us an entire tour of the menu, let us try a few things and education us on every ingredient. She even told us about the kitchen and the rooftop garden. We laughed, we learned and we will absolutely be back. Also please give Monica a raise! She knows her stuff!!!

Absolutely loved this place. It is incredibly unique. My husband and I got here right after open on a Friday afternoon and it was a very laid back atmosphere. The decor is so gorgeous throughout the entire place, the decorations were accumulated by one of the owners during their world travels. The main bar area feels amazing with all the natural light and indoor plants, very rejuvenating. The garden area is lovely with all sorts of unique seating areas. Every detail even down to the restrooms transports you to another world. The service was speedy and the bartenders were incredibly friendly and attentive. The drinks were delicious!!! Such fun, high quality drinks. The Ube margarita was to die for. Great place for a first date, date night, girls night, or special occasion! (Or really anytime ;) )

The decor is over-top-wonderful. We will return for food very very soon. Hopefully in the old gondola car or the cable car. The beverage prices were comparable to less than amazing places. Friendly fun bartenders!Creative cocktails. Stop in at least for a beverage and a self-guided tour!

Their patio cannot be beat, every single area is decorated in the most adorable way possible! Definitely the perfect place for a girls Sunday funday. We had two cocktails and both were phenomenal. 10/10, highly recommend.

This is probably one of the most beautiful bars i've been in! I wish I took more pics, but I was in awe of how pretty it was! There is greenery everywhere and loads of art pieces from around the world!! One of the walls is just pictures of people from around the world!! I got the IM-PEAR-MINT COLLINS as my drink and it was pretty good! The drink contains caramelized pear gin, spiced pear syrup, honey, white balsamic, mint, and soda. It mixes well for a refreshing drink while you can walk around and explore the beauty of this place! I deff recommend this being on your list next time you are in Cincinnati or live here and haven't gone yet! You feel like you travel to a different country!!!

Archie was the best! Great bartender. This is a spot that will definitely be in my list of faves. They don't have many food options. There is one food truck with a few options, so I'd suggest eating before you go. The drinks are amazing! Absolutely no complaints there. The bathrooms were clean and the decor is very eclectic. I loved it. It's like a city escape in the middle of the city. Great vibes, music, interesting people.
