Truly amazing dark chocolate! I just moved to this area and wanted to try everything nearby. I am generally a milk chocolate person but sometimes want dark chocolate for a more chocolatey taste. The owner listen to my preferences and let me try a few samples that are not too tart. They were right on spot. I ended up getting a few bars and will definitely come back.

The owner Eric here graciously guided us through a tasting session, allowing us to sample a variety of his crafted chocolate bars. Although he had another commitment and busy schedule, but he took the time to engage with us personally, sharing insights into his creative process and demonstrating a genuine dedication to what he’s doing. From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. It's very clear that Eric's love for his craft extends beyond the kitchen, as he goes above and beyond to ensure that his continuous research and development is well reflected in his creation. For all chocolate enthusiasts seeking a truly exceptional bean to bar chocolate, this place is an absolute must-visit. Prepare to indulge your senses as each chocolate bite boasts a distinctive and unforgettable flavor profile:) Thank you Eric and keep up the great work!

I went there to buy fine chocolate as a gift. The owner enthusiastically gave me an ample amount of each flavor to taste, even those that weren't available to buy at that moment. He also explained a bit about how the chocolate is made, and what distinguishes each type of chocolate. It was clear he's knowledgeable of his craft. As for the chocolate itself, it was delicious! You can clearly feel the secondary ingredients that give each type of chocolate its unique flavor, but not to an overwhelming degree. Overall, it answered all of my expectations for handmade chocolate. And to top it all off, the prices were reasonable too.

I wanted to bring back some chocolate from our trip to Boston. What better then locally made, small batch, organic, bean to bar chocolate that Eric hand makes! I was glad to stumble upon this little place. Head into the brewery and turn left to find it. I enjoyed the chocolate and Eric’s expertise and kindness in walking us through his craft. Vegan options are available as well as full size bars and smaller boxes. Highly recommend.

Artisan chocolate made by someone who knows and cares! This place was an amazing find. Had a great time with Eric that owner, who spent time explaining his creations. Some truly incredible chocolate here that rivals any of the best chocolate we've had. I love the vending machine and notice too :)

Perfect place to get a gift for my dark chocolate aficionado wife. Eric has a great craft he’s sharing with the community, including chocolate treats for weddings and other events.

Eric gave us a quick tour of his facility and was very generous with his chocolate and his time. The texture was excellent and he pulled pleasing flavor notes out of his chocolate. I really enjoyed this.

Oh wow. The soft serve is incredible. I usually thing it’s a waste of calories but this is decadent!

Yelp
You know how when you find a passionate coffee roaster, the coffee is just That Much Better? I found chocolatiers in a brewery! Mateo & Masi from ProphecyChocolate.com This place rocks.. I think it's two chocolate makers (Sommerville & Prophecy) sharing one store, next to Venezuelan food, inside Aeronaut Brewing, but stick with me here.. the Prophesy Chocolate is awesome, and made from scratch by roasting straight-from-farm raw nibs and blending flavors. Fair price big squares ($5) of both white and dark varieties, with some complex flavors. The Somerville Chocolate is sold in a repurposed cigarette vending machine and some bars (was mostly sold out; didn't try these, but it's also there.) I couldn't find a Yelp entry for Prophecy Chocolate, so I'm leaving this review here under Somerville. Sorry if that's bad form? Either way, go taste some!

Yelp
This place was a great. We went out of our way to stop here at the end of a long weekend in Boston, and were very glad we did. The chocolate was great. Some of it traditional, some pretty unique (including a hoppy dark that was made in conjunction with the brewery). And the owner could not be nicer. A little hard to find at first, but well worth it. Just walk through the brewery, and you'll spot it. Once you find it, you realize it's a very neat setup.

Yelp
Recently went to tasting counter which prompted me to walk past and give another opportunity. Someone was there and provided samples, prompting me to purchase a heart for a dollar. Excellent chocolate. I like the smaller option and would return. Still, my favorite chocolate will remain endangered species 88 percent which is still the best price and quality.

Yelp
This is the most incredible bean-to-bar chocolate factory, nestled inside a hip brewery in Somerville! Eric, the chocolate maker, is hilarious, friendly, and a wizard at coming up with unusual combinations for chocolate. My favorite is the hops-infused white chocolate, which really tastes like beer. He sources hops from Aeronaut (the brewery), and in return he provides the brewers with cocoa nibs to make chocolate-flavored beer! If you are lucky you might arrive at Aeronaut when Eric is there making chocolate! Since it's an open kitchen you can watch him as he makes batches of chocolate from scratch, and molds and hand-wraps the bars himself. If he's not there, you can buy his bars out of a retro cigarette machine that Eric has converted into a chocolate dispenser!! Eric's chocolate bars can be found in many Boston specialty food shops, and they are all wrapped in vintage maps of Somerville. Definitely worth a visit to see where the magic happens!!

Yelp
The Smoked Chocolate is a bit strange at first, but after a couple of pieces it becomes quite nice. The Hops Dark Milk, however is amazing! It's light enough to eat a few pieces without feeling too gluttonous. And tastes just like beer!
