What to Eat (and Expect) at Pharrell’s Major Music Festival in D.C. This Weekend | Eater DC

"Set against a monumental backdrop along Independence Avenue, I see Something in the Water as a three-day Juneteenth weekend festival in D.C. (June 17–19) founded by Pharrell Williams that will host 50,000 permitted attendees, 50 major artists, and a tightly curated food row; service hours run with the festival and ticketed attendees can enter and exit as needed, though road closures and Metro track work make public transit and designated rideshare points the practical ways to get there." - Tierney Plumb

I had a fantastic experience at Ghost Taco! The vibe was fun, the service was quick and super friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. The tacos were packed with flavour and tasted really fresh. Portions were just right, and everything came out hot. I also loved the creative menu options. Great place to visit whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or hanging out with a friend. Definitely coming back! 🌮🔥

I came for lunch and got two tacos: Hot Honey Chicken This was good and worked well flavour wise. Had more honey leaking out of the taco then I tasted inside but it's not a deal breaker as you can dip your taco in the honey sauce. Vampire I liked this taco even more. Everything worked together and rmthe fried cheese just took things up a notch. I would order this one again 100%. They have the standard Mexican sodas you see at most Mexican spots in the city. Service was friendly and quick. Tacos cae our fast but it also wasn't busy. Would come back again to try ohter taco options on the menu.

I rarely Give A Perfect score for My random Reviews But This Deserves It…The Food The Energy and The People Is just *chefs Kiss* Food: I had The Birria Supreme, Hot Honey Chicken and the Baja Fish. Birria Supreme, Classic flavor. a Safe Option if you are hesitant to Try the Other Things…something familiar will always Bw a Good Choice. Hot Honey Chicken, CRISPY theres Alot of things Happening flavor wise but the thing is Everything Just melts in to one another, plus The Added crispy texture, seals It. I would’ve Loves to Have It a Little Bit more Sweet and Spicy, but thats Just my asian Tongue talking. Baja fish, the Fish Just Melts in Your Mouth. And mayo Was Just A Good way to add More Richness to the Taco Itself. Also If you want something thats Not Heavy. get this. its refreshing and light but with a Good Amount of complexity. Churros- REALLY GOOD,VERY CRISPY, Not Oily, A Good balance of Cinnamon and Sugar and the Dip doesn’t Overwhelm or Add More Sweetness to it, Suggestion also have a dark Chocolate ganache Option, so that you can have the option to cut through Constant sweetness with a semi sweet chocolate dip. Drink I got the Painted Lake Peach Crisp- HOOONEY I’m gonna go Casual for this, I am NOT a Beer Drinker But this I LOVE- I literally had 2 glasses, and took home 3 more cans. Environment The Place Itself is quite spacious and they have a Patio Area For People that wants to go outside Or For fur parents that have Their fur Children with them. The Music playlist was Immaculate that Im always Moving on my seat. SERVICE. EXCELLENT, Their team just very Happy and Energetic always Keeps Of Checking with the guests, converse with the Guest very fun Accommodating Staff Team. From The servers to the kitchen team everyone. Y’all are the best. - Zowe

Nestled inside the Something in the Water brewery is this new Mexican place. Good idea to have some delicious Mexican food while drinking a nice craft beer. The tacos were pretty good - my hot honey taco was much better than my husband's beef taco. The service is quick and the staff is nice. They need to get better organized as it seemed a bit chaotic on the first day. I'm looking forward to trying more of their tacos. I'll be interested to see if they'll offer some beer and taco combos on slower days like weekdays.

We ordered the Vampire and the Hot Honey tacos and I would definitely recommend! The chicken in the hot honey was crispy and amazing! A great spot to fill your appetite and enjoy great beer! The atmosphere is very welcoming! If we lived in the area this would definitely be a spot that we would frequent!

Organized an after work get together of approximately 13 people. They graciously section off an area and set up some party games which was fantastic. Beers available were great, and paired well with the tacos. Staff were super hospitable and friendly. Will definitely be on the list for future events. Thanks for hosting us.

My fiancée and I had our engagement party here in September and we have nothing but amazing things to say! The whole team was so accommodating and made sure everyone was having a good time. The tacos and drinks were delicious; they even included a signature drink named after our dog. Everyone enjoyed the evening and raved about the venue. We were already regulars at this spot, but we would recommend it to anyone.

Being from Newmarket, I was so excited to see a Ghost Taco in the city. Ghost Taco has always been my favourite spot for birria tacos back home. This location was consistent with the others and equally as delicious. Can't wait to take my friends here soon. :)

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff ‍‍‍ is friendly and attentive, making every visit a true pleasure. Something in the Water is a lovely place. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city in spite of being in the city . There's an ample parking space around the building. The place has the decent indoor seating arrangements and the seating arrangement is super comfortable and spacious. The staff is really nice, friendly and kept following . The food menu is great and there are many choices to choose from and they also offer quite a lot of small bites options to choose from.Pricing is decent, good value for money and the place is more suitable for a group of people. Les prix sont corrects, avec un bon rapport qualité-prix , et l'endroit est plus adapté aux groupes.

Yelp
Something in the Water Brewing Co. is a new brewery that opened four months ago in Liberty Village. We've been a few times ... it's a cute spot and we like their beer. Thursday night they had their first ever guided beer tasting and it was led by Steve, one of the owners, and Tea, who is a Level 3 Prud'homme Beer Sommelier as well as one of the brewery's founders. They started us off with tasting included 12 beers of to try ... lagers, IPAs and sours. It was fun to try beers I wouldn't usually drink. They sent everyone with a six-pack of beer of their choice ... lots to choose from! It was a fun night and I hope they do it again!

Yelp
I prefer dark beers (including stouts) & really liked their Pancake Bay Sweet Brunch Stout. It has similarities to the Mocha Stout at Left Field. I bought a 6-pack that also includes the Lee River BlackBerry Vanilla & Nitro Dublin Bay Stout, so will be trying those.

Yelp
This is got to be my new favourite brewery in liberty Village. Living here for the last five years, it's been amazing to find new establishment that actually cater to their community I appreciate that they've mailed all the residents a token to come in and check their place and that's what got me here and I'm gonna keep coming back because their beer is delicious

Yelp
Yesterday a friend and I met at this newest Brewery in Liberty Village. It's small and has several tables and chairs outside in front but they were pretty much filled with other Customers so we sat inside. According to their website, they currently have 8 beers on draft and 5 available for purchase from their onsite store. Both of us ordered the same 4 beers for a flight; the tasters are 4 oz each and cost $3/per. I enjoyed all of my choices and my prevailing sentiment was that they exhibited fresh flavours. The venue doesn't take cash but the service was friendly. It's nice having a new Brewery in LV and I hope to return before long.

Yelp
Great little brewery in liberty village and easy to walk to if you live in the area. Came here for happy hour after work on a Friday - staff are friendly and the drinks were good. Unfortunately they don't serve any food (hope this changes in the future) but they allow you to bring in food from other nearby spots! Drink wise: I enjoyed the Continuum IPA and the Red River Japanese Rice Lager - both were great! $4 happy hour drinks.

Yelp
I first came across Something in the Water when they first just opened their Liberty Village shop in 2022, happened to be in the area at the time and picked up a few of their offerings. Was immediately won over by such brews like their Peach Crisp Berliner Weisse (refreshingly light, sweet and lightly tart like peach ring candy) or their mainstay Blackberry Vanilla Sour. I've been back a few more times to stock up more of their fruity sours and other wares. They made it a mission to be an everyone-welcome space, and the vibe certainly speaks to the young adult Liberty Village crowd. I never actually found a chance to sit down inside however, until a friend needed my car to help transport some furniture he bought from a guy who lives in the neighbourhood. "Well alright, but we ought to have a drink or so because I'm not trekking all the way to the west end just to help haul some old-ass furniture." And so we got caught up sitting at a table outside under the tune of lovely staff service and a few flights of let's-try-everything-they-have-on-tap. Absolutely a refreshing addition to Toronto's craft beer scene.
