The place was clean and the smell of fresh cooked waffles delicious. We had no idea what a taiyaki was so stopped in our off curiosity. Fun stuffed waffle dessert fish that tasted wonderful! Price was great as well. Two taiyaki for $5!

Somi Somi is Amazing!!! If you haven't tried it, this place is an absolute MUST! We absolutely love their soft serve ice cream and fish-shaped cake (Taiyaki). It's such a great concept, and the desserts not only taste delicious, but also look super cute. The store is very spacious, nicely decorated with bright colors and very inviting atmosphere. They have counter-top seating inside and a couple of tables outside as well. Staff is kind, very friendly, welcoming and they truly appreciate your business. There are 3 steps to order. Select a cup or taiyaki, the choice of soft serve and the filling for inside. At the end they have different toppings you get to choose from. You really can't go wrong with any items you put together, it's all equally delicious! We have ordered several different items from the menu and we were pleasantly surprised with the flavors, not too sweet at all, ice cream was very creamy and the Taiyaki were very fluffy and yummy!!! Overall: It is such a beautiful place to take your family out for an ice cream or just to hang out with your friends. A very happy place with helpful staff. Highly recommended!!!

If you're looking for a fun and delicious treat, this place nails it! The rolled ice cream is not only super tasty but also so cool to watch being made right in front of you. It’s like dessert and a show all in one! The texture is creamy and smooth, and the flavors are spot-on, everything tastes fresh. The shop itself is clean, cute, and welcoming. Tried this place recently and it was "ok". Not a bad experience, just wasn't impressed! Tried macha ice cream and then bean and custard fish. It would be nice if you could sample the ice cream flavors (even if a limit), given how unique and different they are. Luckily, the matcha was ok. May give this another try!

i got the Ube flavor with Nutella filling with crumble toppings and it was delicious! i come once a week with the kids. the server was really nice and I like that they don’t charge for toppings

Very decent dessert shop~ Tried the matcha soft serve and a few different flavor of taiyaki. I would enjoy the soft serve and taiyaki more if things are little less sweet. (But I’m accustomed to “less sweet” sweets. great overall~ great and quick service~ will try other flavors next time

Friendly staff in a bright well decorated environment. So many delicious options to choose from. Only got the gold fish shaped pastry with filling desserts (Taiyaki). So many flavors to choose from. Sweet, savory, sweet and savory. Drink options and ice cream options as well. Next time I need to try more! Definitely let them know if you have any food allergies ahead of time.

Service is great! Thank goodness for the patience of the staff with my little ones! The quality is top tier! The family loves coming here! Always a fun experience! They've got great seating and a place for date night, family night, or even just a quick ice cream outing on your own! Cant go wrong with any flavors combos! Everything we've tried has been a hit. The ice cream is perfectly creamy (not overly sweet), and the Taiyaki is warm, fluffy, and freshly made. Such a perfect balance of texture and flavor. A lot of table seating inside and outside.

LOVE THIS PLACE! The staff are so nice and the taiyaki are the cutest things ever. I got the ube/ chocolate swirl w upside ahboong filled with custard. 10 out of 10. The shop is bright yellow and is warm and inviting. Limited seating inside. They have 6 rotating flavors and samples are unavailable. There are toppings for your soft serve as well. DEELISH!

Their flavors never disappoint!! We got the matcha and cookies and cream, earl grey and milk tea. The taiyakis were made well and yummy. Quick service, and friendly staff. I like how we can watch how they make the ice cream and Taiyaki. It's quite a spacious spot so you can at least hang inside with friends.

Don't sleep on Somi Somi! The establishment is always super clean and service is always great! As for the product itself, so bomb. I got the milk tea soft serve with custard filled. It truly tasted like authentic milk tea because the way it's made. The cashier mentioned they brew the tea and infuse the cream with it! 10/10

Soft serve and taiyaki? Yes, please!!! I've had this place marked in my bookmarks for so long, but never had the chance to stop by. Well, my time came when I was in the neighborhood for dinner and I jumped at the chance to stop by and have some yummy desserts. Walking in, the place is sparsely decorated but in a fun loft way. We didn't realize where the line was though, only figured it out when we were being ignored and the girls who came in after us stood in a particular spot and were called upon next. Oops! If this is your first time in, look at the walls, the "red carpet" will tell you where the line is. We ordered soft serve and taiyaki. The taiyaki takes a bit because it's freshly made but it's well worth the wait. If you're ordering soft serve, even with a taiyaki pushed into it, it will come out super fast. I got milk and sesame swirl with a custard taiyaki and Biscoff topping. Soooooo good. My moms ube with coconut topping was pretty freaking tasty as well. I've never tried taiyaki that wasn't red bean so the mint oreo was a special experience that I want to have more of. I cannot wait to come back and have some more of these amazing treats!

I love SomiSomi, it's my favorite ice cream spot! I love that the flavors rotate every week and the toppings. I love how unique this place is. There's some seating if you want to stay and eat and easily accessible. I love how friendly the staff are and the service is so fast. This spot is delish if you're in the mood for ice cream!

The ube & milk tea combo with a black sesame filling is addictingly good! The combo paired with the black sesame complimented all the flavors so well. Went with the biscoff toppings but maybe would've been even more complimentary with coconut flakes. The ice cream is creamy and not overly sweet, you could taste the milk tea which is usually a plus plus for me since some places make it tastes more like milk. I got the upside down so I'm not sure if you're supposed to eat the taiyaki first, but I took mine off and just ate it as I wanted to and then made my own little cone. Whichever way you want to enjoy it, the choice is yours. The service was quick and the cashier recommended the black sesame filling so I took her rec and wasn't disappointed. It's fun watching them prepare your order, so the ambiance is light and casual. There's also some high chairs if you want to sit and eat it there. Everything I could ask for when wanting to eat some ice cream.

It's so good, no clue why it took me so long to try. I have been back several times now! Addicted to the Oreo taiyaki.

Its been so hot when i seen this store i had to get some soft serve! Service was fast, there is a bar u can sit on while u enjoy your treat. Employees were nice and soft serve was delicious!? Ill be back!

I was craving something sweet and found this cute little place! I love how they give you the options to select the filling of the ahboong. I chose the custard filling and it pairs very well with the cookies & cream and matcha soft serve. The place was super cute and the employee was super nice with helping us as first timers. I would definitely come back and sit in as the place was super cute!

I searched on Yelp for dessert places and they recommended SomiSomi. Since Yelp has never steered me wrong we decided to try it out. So glad we did. Service was great. The guy taking our order made sure he had our order right. The music was a little loud which made it difficult to talk to them but they still got our order correct. I loved my dessert. The ice cream was delicious and with the Nutella coding inside just took it over the top. This is our new favorite dessert place. Wish they had more seating inside besides the stool seats and the weird bench.

Tried another location further from the strip. Located in a relatively update strip mall with other restaurants. Not as busy as the Spring Mountain location but I don't mind that. Tried their summer special Mango/Guava combo. The flavor was not intense but still enjoyable with the soft serve really dense and creamy; the way I like my soft serve. Plenty of parking and really cute space.

My favorite!!!! I don't come to somi somi often but I do follow them on IG to keep updated about their seasonal flavors I love the new banana milk flavor, it's so good!! If you're a fan of Korean banana milk you will absolutely love this. It is quite sweet and filling so I usually just opt for the soft serve in a cup. My mom also got her favorite, cookies and cream, and it actually wasn't too sweet which we were a fan of! Staff is always friendly. They are always a little busy around night time and before closing, but there's plenty of space to sit :) 5/5 i will always be back !

Just loved eating purple ice cream. Its ube and has a slightly vanilla taste. Silky smooth texture. Loved the oreo dust. Came with a frozen strawberry.

Somisomi, you did not disappoint for our first time! This is their Henderson location in a busy plaza on Eastern at Richmar. This is an ice cream shop that serves Korean-style desserts, most notably their "Ah Boong" treat, which is their version of an ice cream cone shaped like a goldfish that has soft serve ice cream and your choice of a filling stuffed inside of it. You can also get this in a cup, which is called the "Upside Down Ah Boong". According to the lady that placed our order, the upside down Ah Boong gives you more ice cream than the regular Ah Boong. The more you know. When we walked in at first, it wasn't too busy, but during and after we placed our order, it was starting to get really packed with more people coming in and the line was beginning to spill out the door. They have some seating inside, but not a whole lot. All they have is a small couch in the front and some high-top chairs near the back of the shop. Keep note of this if you plan to visit, especially if you're here during a ridiculously hot summer day. I ordered an upside down Ah Boong with chocolate soft serve ice cream and custard filing. My boyfriend ordered the taiyaki (4) with (2) Oreo and (2) matcha filling. The taiyaki is exactly like a waffle but with filling inside. When my order came out, the guy calling out customer's names asked me if I wanted any toppings, in which I chose rainbow sprinkles, finished with a strawberry on top. Let me tell you, I SCARFED that goldfish cone down, even before my boyfriend got his taiyaki. I actually did this for a reason, because the ice cream in my cup was melting really quickly and I didn't want to get it all over the place (it was still well over 100 degrees at 8:00pm, even when the sun came down). The custard was absolutely amazing and it paired very well with the ice cream. My boyfriend enjoyed his taiyaki but said a few of them became a little soggy on the bottom overtime. He ended up putting his leftovers in the fridge, which kinda did the trick. This is a place that we'll probably come back to in the future, as it's not too far away from my house. Their spoons say "Somilicious", indeed it was!

Nice and cool high ceiling. They should remove the big huge wooden chairs right in front of the counter and replace with table and chairs that are more comfortable to sit and enjoy the foods. The ice cream was perfect not too sweet and has a smooth creamy texture. Taiyaki was freshly made so tastes crispy and warm. service was average.

Delicious soft serve and crispy taiyaki. Friendly, polite customer service in a convenient location that is light and bright. There is seating inside as well as a table outside. We had the upside-down milk tea with custard filling in the taiyaki and an upside-down cookies and cream with custard filling. You can choose from a variety of toppings and we got the strawberry with a macaron. The soft serve is not too sweet and is complimented by the crunchy taiyaki. Somisomi is one of our favorite places to get softserve and we are so happy that there is one in Henderson.

Somisomi is my favorite sweet treat if I'm ever in China town This location does tend to be super busy but the staff seems to put out orders pretty fast so be patient(: When you first walk in it looks crowded but they have sweating in the back. They do switch out their ice cream flavors weekly. My favorites are the cookies and cream, matcha and strawberry swirl. I do get the upside with netuella for my fish filling! Also my go to unfortunately the heat for the fish always makes my ice cream melt fast :(

So good! My daughters love they ice cream . We came on Valentine's night . They got very busy and only 2 employees working . But they are very quick .

Hands down... fire. We came for dessert, but it felt like therapy in a cone. Got the taiyaki stuffed with cheddar, Oreo, and Nutella--yes, all three. Sounds wild but somehow works. The outside was crispy and golden... like a waffle that went to finishing school. Inside? That warm Nutella hit first, then the cheddar sneaks in with this salty twist that somehow levels everything out. Oreo gave it crunch. No part of it missed. The soft serve is smooth... like real smooth. Not that icy stuff some places try to pass off. We went with ube and matcha swirl--rich, creamy, perfectly balanced. You taste the ube right away... buttery and floral. Then the matcha slides in earthy and just bitter enough to keep it interesting. This ain't no basic froyo energy. This is flavor with depth. Toppings? They don't skimp. Rainbow sprinkles, cereal crunch, mochi--whatever you pick, they load it up. But it's not just for looks. It adds texture. Makes each bite feel like a little celebration. The staff was great... patient, helpful, and not annoyed when we asked about ten different combos before deciding. You can tell they take care of the place too. Spot was spotless, everything moved smooth. It's one of those places where even if there's a line, you don't mind waiting... you know what's coming. It's giving K-drama finale energy... sweet, warm, slightly dramatic, and totally worth the emotional investment.

Summer is here :D Love this place, love the simple menu and love the fact I can get delicious soft serve matcha ice cream without driving all the way to Chinatown! I'm a basic, simple dessert kinda person, so am totally appreciating the minimalist aesthetic of this place. Good service and clean ambiance. 5/5 overall.

Oreo soft serve is fabulous. Everyone is so nice and fast. Granny had the peach ice cream and loved it too. Will come back again. Very clean and simplistic Just perfect for a desert shop!

First had this in Hawaii so I'm glad we have one here in LV, great inexpensive ice cream and taiyaki.

DELICIOUS! I came here with my family for a little treat. We ordered soft serve, taiyaki, and cold brew. The service was pretty quick and the workers were helpful and greeted us when we walked in and when we left. The music inside is a bit loud but the location is super clean with a large bench to sit on as well as chairs and a long table against the wall. We loved the taiyaki. My favorite flavor was the Nutella filled one. At first we ordered only a few flavors and after tasting we actually ended up ordering more! It was super good. They come out really hot so I definitely recommend letting it cool down a bit before biting in!

Best dessert (in my opinion)! The bungeoppang (fish-shaped soft waffle pastry) with the soft serve ice cream tops it. You get to choose the filling in your bungeoppang and then choose a flavor ice cream you want with it. You can decide if you want it in a cup (like I did) or in bungeoppang. If you only want the bungeoppang or just the ice cream, you can decide on that also. You get a warm temp dessert and a cool temp dessert all in one if you decide to get both with this little treat! There are other locations, but I haven't only been to this one. Give it a go!

The vibes are fun and upbeat, though it can get pretty busy, especially on weekends. But honestly, it's worth the wait every time. A must-try if you're into unique desserts with a fun twist!

Love somi somi! Only reason why I give it a 4 star is because it's not a place I crave often. They do have a rather smaller menu but I think that's great for those who have a hard time deciding! Love love love their taiyaki and the cookies and cream ice soft serve is so good. Staff is knowledgeable, it does take a little while to get a taiyaki but it's because it's fresh. When I went it was not that busy so I was in & out. Definitely recommend!

I've really enjoyed my experiences at Somi Somi I have visited a few times. They always have a rotating flavor which is fun to try. Last time I visited I got the banana flavor that was on special, it was extremely artificial and odd tasting I wasn't a fan of that flavor. However every other flavor I've had was delicious. They also won't let you sample flavors which I find strange. The staff is kind and polite. One other downfall is there's not many places to enjoy your treats here. Overall a good choice if you're looking for a sweet treat.

Hi. Needed something sweet after dinner. Found this close. Had to try. Soooo glad we did. My exact reaction: "yooooooooo". Got the Ube and Chocolate Swirl, topped with toasted coconut and a perfectly textured tiny macaron. 100% will come again. Super kind staff. Very knowledgeable and helpful. ADORABLE inside, very clean and quaint, but stylish. Can't wait to come back and try all the flavors.

The taiyaki is delicious! I like the cheddar cheese and Oreo the best. My daughter is also a huge fan of the soft serve. We love coming here for dessert after dinner or sometimes for a light lunch with the cheese taiyaki.

Creamy ice cream with fun flavors. For people that have trouble deciding on a single flavor, there are multiple double flavors to choose from. You also get to choose what toppings and filling you would like with your ice cream. All the Taiyaki are made fresh in front of you.

We came in on a whim cause we really wanted something cold and yummy. The banana milk soft serve is so so so good. The custard and Nutella taiyaki are chewy and crispy and fluffy and delightful. I could easily enjoy a dozen of these....... The customer service was o.k, I got the vibe people usually know what they want when they walk in and I was clueless. I made sure to tip for the xtra education‍ We will still be back, I wonder if we can order online?

All their food products are amazing, really hits the sweet spot. Everything is fresh and made right in front of you. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because both times we've gone, the place was severely understaffed. One person was running the entire store, and it was nearly full. He was doing everything, from cashier to cook, and doing a great job. But it took almost 30 minutes just to get a simple ice cream. Also, the tall chairs are quite uncomfortable if you want to sit down, talk, and enjoy your treat. Again, I highly recommend the food, but the place definitely needs more love from management.

This place is wonderful to stop by for a treat even during the winter time! The ice cream here is so flavorful - with a shopping center full of treat options, this one is definitely in my top. The Taiyaki has a crispiness like no other. The nutella and custard are the best flavors also in my opinion, being able to get a whole box is such a great option! I highly recommend this place!

I wish I would have gotten better photo's to share with you guys! But I couldn't not dive into the warm waffel fish themed cone once I had it! They have two flavors that rotate on the soft serve. I got mango and it was AMAZING! I did make the mistake of giving it to a child, do not do that... The sugar spike is real! But for me it was so good and I got custard fish cakes to-go for the plane. BEST idea ever! Get you some flavors to go if you need to have a snack later in the day for hiking, movies, just to have in your purse! I would recommend and I can't wait to come back and try more flavors!

This is place is great! Bright white and clean looking when you walk in. The menu is simple and I love that. Keeps it easy. I never noticed this place before because it's in the VERY busy plaza off Eastern / 215 (Silverado / serene area). I noticed it because I was taking a virtual meeting in the parking lot due to decent cell service. Ha. I brought my family in to try and it is fantastic. Delicious, fresh waffle like fish which you can fill with items like red bean paste, Nutella, custard... you can have soft service either in a cup or in the fish cone. At the end they have toppings to sprinkle on the top such as Oreos, fruity pebbles, coco pebbles and more. Lastly, they ask if you'd like a strawberry or piece of a French macaroon.

I noticed today that the SomiSomi in Henderson opens one hour earlier than the one in Chinatown and I go all the time. I love their ice cream options. The parking here is better and the service is excellent! I'll be going to this one more often for sure.

The store is so cute. You can watch them cook the Taiyaki right in front of you since they are made to order. So that means, FRESH! We got every flavor except for Oreo. I'm not really that into Taiyaki because of the texture of the filling. But these were good,m. My favorite was the Nutella!

What a cute and fun place for dessert! Staff is efficient and pumps the orders out very quick. They were very busy for a late Friday night, but they managed to complete our order in less than 5 minutes. I got an upside down ahboong and my boyfriend got a soft serve because he has a gluten allergy. They do have a list at the register with allergen information, so just ask the cashier if you have an allergy. They were both good and I love the aesthetic of this place. We will be back and I would recommend if you're in the mood for dessert that is unique, cute and/or fun.

Wow! I never thought I'd be able to order somi somi for take out, but they did great! Ended up in this plaza and got excited after remembering somi somi is also located here. I was in a hurry so I asked if it was possible to get it packed up to go. The worker was so helpful and packed it up so nicely! By the time I got home, the pastries were still crunchy and warm and the ice cream was still intact! I ordered the cookies and cream taiyaki, the cookies and cream soft serve and a Nutella filled pastry for my upside down. Cravings were definitely satisfied.
