SOMISOMI

This was my second time at a SOMISOMI location and I cannot live without it in my life. The nutella filled “fish waffle” (basically what it is in my opinion) is so yummy! This location is shared with a cafe right next to it with plenty of seating. It’s dog friendly too which is nice. Definitely 10/10 recommend. Warning: On a busy day, parking is rough!

My favorite thing on Convoy. The icecream is so yummy and the taiyaki cone is so creative and cute. Went with family—I got ube with fruity pebbles and a custard taiyaki. It’s so wonderful and fun to eat. They give you the cutest spoon (I’ve kept it for memory sake). This dessert is going to haunt my dreams. I live in the Midwest and I fear I will never recover.

The busiest dessert place. So many people. The dedication of the crowd is unreal - people waited outside in a line at 8:30pm in the pouring cold rain to not lose their pole position and get a bite to eat at this place. The flavors are simple Asian basic flavors. More fillings than soft serve flavors. Ube, matcha, black sesame, and cookies and cream for the soft serve. Fillings included Nutella, custard, red bean, cedddar, taro, Oreo. With a simple menu the lines move fast (no one is waiting in line too long). The upside down ahboong was our favorite. Taiyaki is basically warm filled donuts in the shape of a coi fish. We tried the strawberry milk- a simple glass bottle of milk mixed with real strawberry preserves- it was really tasty. Delicious. Really fun. There is no parking at this place. You can park across the street in the parking garage for a fee or drive around for a long while waiting for an open spot. Next door sells some other tasty desserts.

I didn't understand the ratings until I tried the upside ahboong for myself and it was delicious. The prices are fair and the toppings are unlimited. I see why the lines are long but goes by fast. I returned at opening time on mother's day and groups of people were rolling in after I arrived. I love that they open late!

Delicious ice cream at Somisomi! We had the cookies and cream and ube swirl and the matcha and milk tea swirl. Both were ahboong, which is a fish shaped cone that tastes so good, much better than typical ice cream cones. We had Nutella filling as well. Highly recommend, very refreshing tasting!

This place is sooo good! They have great ice cream flavors and topping to go inside of your fish shaped waffle cone!! So delicious!! My go to is Cookies and Cream soft serve with Oreo dust! Very Instagramable!

This is the best soft serve I have ever had! Soft, silky and perfectly flavored, this place is really worth checking out! I am obsessed. I always get the soft serve in a cup but the fish waffle is tasty too if you like to try it. My favorite flavors are ube and cookies and cream. Hidden topics include fresh strawberry or a macaroon.

Really cool ice cream place with interesting flavors. Came here on a weekday evening and the line was out the door. Probably waited a good 20 minutes for the line to get us inside. Service at the counter was quick and friendly. The free toppings is an amazing perk of this place. Ice cream was good and tasty.
