Booked at 8:30pk, had to wait for 10 mins since the tables before us weren’t finished. Started was shiitake mushroom puree- smooth and sweet. Bread basket - sourdough and there was a type that’s was very thin and grain/ oat flavour which I really liked. Butter was just like normal butter you will usually get. Bites - anchovies brioche was pretty refreshing, the tomato stood out which I liked. Starters - fresh fig with ricotta matches very well with a bit of sweetness. Also got heirloom tomato burrata puff pastry, ate it like a pizza and the onion marmalade complimented it well. Mains - black cod and yellow chicken. Pretty soft overall, the corn& yuzu koshe puree suprised me, very sweet and crunchy texture! Highlight of the dish. Dessert - chocolate soufflé was airy and fluffy with cacao sorbet. Millefeuille was decent but the salted caramel icecream that it went with stood out more ! Petit four was an almond dessert, light & crispy on outside and right amount of dryness as soon as u bite! Overall service pretty decent and would come back again!

Having nice catch up with frd during weekend. We chose Brunch on the date and there were 4 different options for choosing and the main difference is the drink it served. Since my frd & I wanna do some wine, so we finally chose “SOMMkind of Brunch” on the day which included 90 mins free-flow Sparkling Wine, Seasonal Cocktail & Juices. Indeed, they are very welcome guests with different choices within the same table. Highly appreciated! We also specially ordered Uni French Toast :) For the menu, it included bakery basket, starter, main course & dessert. All of them are awesome & delicious!! Definitely will revisit for the food as well as the professional service of their staff :) Highly recommended!

Google
a great brunch experience , i think the only down side is the environment which i think is a bit too crowded and can get noisy. i added the uni toast, the uni was fresh but i find it a little bit pricey so not a must. the yellow chicken definitely was a highlight, very tender and juicy meat with a crispy skin. the garnish and sauce complimented the protein, it was a delightful dish. the toothfish was wonderful also, great texture and i especially loved the tomato veggie stew. all in all the meal was satisfying. if you are looking for a decent brunch with solid quality, SOMM is worth a try.

SOMM offers a great value dinner set, with 2 glasses of wine included. Style is quite casual (wsp when compared to Amber next door). Urchin toast and chocolate soufflé are must try!

A nice brunch with lots of dishes to savour. Big portions of food - we were already 70% full after finishing starters - especially like the Bellota Paleta Ham, Angus Beef Carpaccio and bread platter. Aka uni french toast is outstanding - flesh uni taste and warm french toast with eggs flavour. We had yellow chicken and salmon bass as main. Recommend the yellow chicken with crispy skin and tender meat. The sauce was pretty good. The much-anticipated Abinao Chocolate Soufflé fell short, its texture airy but lacking the intense cocoa depth we’d hoped for. Prefer the vanilla and caramel millefeuille which is more rich in flavour and texture.

Had their tasting menu ($918 for 4-courses + wine pairing $600 for 3 glasses) food was ok but not impressive. the restaurant is really small and feels a bit too packed for me. The distance between tables is very close. The table is also very small, theres barely any space left after a few wine glasses. lol service needs to be improved: -sommelier was not professional enough, could have engage with the customers more. He did not say much but only ask if we’d like to take pictures of the wine bottle. lol -servers were not attentive, they did refill our water but thats it, did not even clean the food crumbs on the table before serving the next dish (we had to request for it when the sommelier served us wine). I expect a better service in this 5* hotel restaurant. -the restaurant manager i believe (Danny) was nice enough to waive us the +$30 for the chocolate souffle when we asked if we could change one of the desserts we ordered to this souffle as its their signature, but we think he didn't sound very genuine because he said we were spending mid-range amount, other tables were having cheaper sets/promotions, so he waived it for us so we could be friends, introduce more friends to come, etc. dont think this is the professional way of service. it feels like he was forced to be there and just not genuine at all (sorry if he was having a bad day). For HKD4000 i think you can find many other better options.

Exquisite Dining Experience at SOMM! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an incredible dinner at SOMM, and it truly exceeded our expectations! Every dish was a delight, but two standouts left a lasting impression. First, the **Yellow Chicken** was a revelation. The local chicken breast was unexpectedly tender and bursting with flavor, making it one of the best chicken dishes we’ve ever had. For dessert, the **Abinao Chocolate Soufflé with Cacao Sorbet** was simply divine. As a chocoholic, I can confidently say this dessert is a must-try! Its rich, velvety texture paired perfectly with the refreshing sorbet. What made our experience even more special was the attentive and friendly staff. We were particularly impressed by Jimmy, who took the time to introduce each dish and provide recommendations that perfectly matched our tastes. His warmth and hospitality made us feel truly welcome. We can't wait to return to SOMM for another unforgettable meal. Thank you to the entire team for making our evening so memorable!

Had dinner at Somm on 24 May, amazing food they served at Somm! I like the atmosphere there slightly more casual and really cosy with warmth service from all staff! All the dishes in starter and main are high quality with perfect presentation. Added Pithivier as our extra main course and it was phenomenal with the foie gras definitely enhanced the flavour! Thank you Jimmy for taking care of us and we received a complimentary birthday dessert on top of our 2 dessert plates. We left with a full tummy gratefully.

Yelp
We love their brunch! Food is h quality so as the wine. You would expect brunch free flow wine would be the cheapest tasting house wine but nope! It was so very good but we recommended the white over red because the red is a bit heavy. They change the menu every now and then do no point reviewing it one by one. The bread is good, appetizer was so amazing and the entree is even better.

Yelp
An absolute five-star hotel, one of the most cost-effective hotels I have ever seen in Hong Kong! We went to SOMM and had sommsupper (3 courses + unlimited drinks for HKD 818). The food was juicy, we had oysters and scallops, both were excellent. The scallop dish had lots of different flavors mixed together perfectly and the oysters were huge and delicious. We had the beef as a main course and it was perfect too, great cooking, great flavour, and plenty of it. Desserts were also delicious, with eclairs and chocolate soufflés. Since it was my birthday, we also got a free strawberry ice cream cake. The atmosphere is very intimate, the staff are great and very welcoming, and the service is great. The free flow time was said to be 90 minutes but they were flexible and our last order was a little later than that. The free flow included champagne, red and white wine as well as sake and all the glasses we sampled were very good and perfectly suited to our dishes. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
Wonderful jewel in the Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hotel - French neo bistro food. More people should find out about this gem. Quiet, exquisite, outstanding food. The cheese and truffle sandwich, salmon roe and . The lung guang chicken with girolles, silverbeet & yellow wine albuféra was out of this world unbelievable - it is simply the best chicken I have ever tasted. Service is extraordinary. What a wonderful place for lunch. In addition, a huge selection of wines and champagnes. There are weekend sommeliers' lunches which are divine as well.

Yelp
Very classy ambience with a hip twist. The food is innovative, blending with regional flavors. the pork belly is a signature and the skewers. the chicken is perfect maybe I'm just less a chicken person. Dessert is 5 out of 5
