Sommerfest is not bad for a quick service (dining plan) option, if you like sausages.
I went with the bratwurst, which comes on a roll with sauerkraut. The bratwurst itself was good. Not too salty like most theme park food tends to be. The bread was pretty chewy though. It was almost hard to eat.
Good thing we got some German beers to wash it all down! I ordered the Altenmünster Oktoberfest while my Dad ordered the Radeberger Pilsner. Both tasted refreshing and not too dark. (but then again, I like super dark beers so the Oktoberfest might be too much for some people). For $4 more, you could get the beer in a souvenir mug. But when I saw it was just a cheapo plastic one, I opted out of it.
Finally, for dessert, there weren't many options. It was either apple strudel with vanilla sauce or a black forest cake. All four of us went with the apple strudel, which now looking back, I don't know why we did that. We should have done two and two. (Oh well - should have, would have, could have). It had way too much vanilla sauce on it to the point where the strudel was drenched in it. It also had raisins, which I'm not a fan of so as you can tell, this dessert was definitely not the best I've ever had.
I probably wouldn't come back here if I visit EPCOT again, but that's mainly because would eventually like to try all the food from each of the countries. The only reason I would come back would be for the beer!
