From the curated wine selection to the delicious tapas, beautifully crafted entrées, and an amazing dessert — everything was exceptional. Chef Luis has truly created something special in Monroe. The ambiance is sophisticated and grown, with every dish presented like a piece of art. The attention to detail and flawless execution really stood out. If you’re looking for that upscale NYC vibe without the traffic or long drive, SOMNI delivers it perfectly — amazing food, stunning presentation, and top-notch service. Highly recommend!

Outstanding service and ambiance. Cocktails were excellent. Food was a mixed bag. Shrimp taps were overcooked but the restaurant took it back immediately. The crab cake tapas were delicious. The lamb entree was good. The Valrhona chocolate lava cake was excellent too.

This was our second time dining at Somni NY Tapas, and the experience was just as amazing as the first! On our first visit, I had the ribeye—perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. This time, I went with the porterhouse, and it was equally impressive—juicy, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere here is always on point: stylish, warm, and inviting. Whether you’re coming for a romantic evening or a night out with friends, the ambiance sets the tone for a great experience. A big thank you to Catherine, our server, who took excellent care of us both times. She’s friendly, knowledgeable, and makes fantastic recommendations—truly one of the highlights of our visits. This place is a gem. Great food, great drinks, and top-notch service. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

I cannot rave enough about this restaurant. Everything about them was AMAZING. The decor, service, food, just EVERYTHING was outstanding. We basically ordered all the Tapas from their menu and not ONE did disappoint. I also got the ceviche which was good, just wasn’t a fan of the sour aftertaste but that’s probably just me. I cannot rave enough about their duck cigars, it’s my favorite tapas ✨ Also, we came for brunch, and their mimosas and Dulce de Leche French Toast is OUT of this world. It’s delicious! They also accommodated and made scrambled eggs for my baby and even though it’s not on the menu ! They’re the best. Please please come here if you have the chance, I wish I knew about this place sooner, it will exceed your expectations 🫶🏽

This is a must-go place with your girlfriend or for a date, they will love it it. The food is amazing, and the drinks are top notch.

Food was so interesting and delicious service was wonderful and the owner was delightful and there were a few “gifts” added only which added to the night. Would highly recommend will come back.

Saw a drag brunch here and the vibe was great. The food and drinks were fantastic and the servers were all passionate and worked very hard to make everything perfect. Will def go back!

Had our anniversary dinner here and did the 5 course wine pairing with a wonderful sommelier. The waitstaff and food were wonderful. The other customers were awesome. The atmosphere is otherworldly, hard to explain but they're are many things to look at with different ascetic but somehow cozy and cohesive. A very positive vibe. Prices are very reasonable. I hope to be able to visit again soon.

So far I cannot rate the food or drink. When we arrived the music was ear piercing to the point it sounded like you were in a night club in a closet. It was literally painfully loud. We left. But - I'm happy Somni is still open and thriving in its new location, as I loved the previous spot on 208. I noticed they don't have bar seats for sitting at the bar, darn. But it's so small so it makes sense to only have tables. Vibe was hoppin, staff was friendly, and tried to accommodate by having the DJ lower the music but no avail on the dj's end. I look forward to coming back for another go, next time bringing my ear plugs, lol.

10/10! So glad we gave this place a shot for date night! Amazing service and delicious food. We did a few rounds of tapas and we loved the empanadas and the Kobe sliders! The drinks were strong and well made. We will be back!

Passed by super quick but had to leave per work. Monroe, NY finally has a great place to relax and have a great food. Come support your LOCAL dive vs your big chain restaurant. I heard only but the best and will make my way back. I promised my friend I would go and support you guys but sometimes duty calls and must respond. The food was awesome, everything came out on time, and the staff was super friendly. I'd totally come back again.

Their new place is beautiful. We had delicious tapas on their Wednesday Tapas Specials for $3 $6 and $9. The potatoes and their butter milk chicken were our favorite. The drinks were great too. I had a coconut mojito and a passion fruit margarita, gotta say our coconut mojito was our favorite. Service was great too, our server Kelly was very attentive and easy going. You can tell the owners have put a lot of time and love to this place. Please come and show some support. Can't wait until they are start with private events. Highly recommended!!!

The food, the service, and the ambiance were all GREAT, PERFECT!! Myself and my husband both fell in love with this amazing restaurant!

Service was great but food was overpriced. Ambience nice but overhead lights were bright and it was cold and drafty so I kept a coat on. I didn't care for the steamed buns they tasted like vinegar but the patatas were tasty. Two Kobe sliders that were tiny 1-2" each for $23 with tax, credit card extra charge and tip. Expected regular size sliders or more than 2 for that price- the price of a meal not 2 bites. I was hungry after we split 3 tapas so we ordered lava cake which was good, better than the food. It's quite obnoxious to charge a credit card surcharge when your bill is $110 for 4 little snacks and 2 drinks. I wish we'd have gone to a diner.

I went out with my husband and friends for a cocktail and we decided to try our Somni. We sat at the bar and were greeted by the owner and the bartender, Amber. They both were super sweet and attentive.. but the star of the show was our drink The Gimme Agave was AMAZING, best cocktail I've had upstate. We loved the vibes of the place as well, really cool scene. I look forward to going back and trying the food!

Tapas portion size is on the bite size mode, albeit tasty the portion size is not proportate to the orice. Ordered the 24 oz porterhouse. The steak was a decent quality however on the dry side for medium rare. The steak should be seasoned at room temperature just prior to cooking, steak was seasoned way too earlier as salt absorbs moistue. The experience was not a total bust but a juicer steak would have been preferable. Bartender accommodated exclusions and additions to their signature cocktails,wait staff was attentive.

Fantastic food. We had the duck, the salmon, ahí tuna and hanger steak all cooked to perfection. Staff was friendly and professional. We will definitely return.

Went for my daughters birthday. The waitress was wonderful and the drinks were excellent. Unfortunately, we ordered the paella and it was burnt . The rice was crispy and the seafood overcooked. We sent the entire untouched dish back . Very disappointed

We came in for happy hour on a Wednesday evening. We ordered several tapas and they were all amazing. Drinks were also delicious. Our server, Peter, was attentive and friendly. Bartender and hostess were also friendly. We liked being able to see the open kitchen as well. Nicely decorated and reasonable prices too. I'm really glad we gave Somni a try! You should too!

Somnia tapas is a great place to experience. New flavors. Have an assortment of small plates. Great for sharing great for tasting beautiful little restaurant in the heart of Monroe.

The service at Somni is impeccable. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, and their passion for the food and wine is infectious. They explain each course with enthusiasm, making you feel like a welcomed guest at the chef's table. Very good experience me and my family will definitely come back soon. this restaurant will not last. the waitress not only provided terrible service, but told a booked table to leave. she had overbooked the table and needed us to "get up". Tables don't sit flat on the floor and things scoot off the table. The waitress noted many items unavailable on a Friday night, not even milk on hand to make cappuccino resulting in lost sales. Telling customers with reservations to leave is not only unprofessional, it's wrong when the table was booked. waitress also noted items marked gluten free on menu are not necessar gluten free. i do not recommend it even free!

We went last night to celebrate a birthday and it was 10/10 for everything. Food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. I recommend the calamari and the kobe sliders, they were delicious. I'll definitely be back!

Were patrons at the original location and skeptical of the move- when you walk in to the new place- WOW feels like you're in a different world- elegant and cozy with the ability to see the kitchen. Service was AMAZING, Food is still great- they stayed true to what was wonderful before- their tapas and drinks. Had oysters, potatoes, empanadas and sliders- fyi these are tapas, not full portions- excited about their pri fix menu and reserved a table for NYE- thank you Somni- love what you've done here

Everything was great! Food and service were fantastic. We went with the prefix special for $25, what a deal. Plus they had $5 wine. Such a great restaurant
