I went there three days ago and the old Korean man working the cashier had no knowledge about the food. Having an old man working doesn’t look good on the business. He was not being very social and was quickly answering things to hurry me out. If I see him again i will be walking out. I don’t appreciate his service. But most likely will not be returning.

Nestled in quiet plaza by Walmart in Carrollton, this place is stocked with delicious banchan (and even main dishes like stews, soups, curry, mapo tofu, and black bean sauces). Their fridge items now have labels in English. There is also have a catering menu, but note that it is in Korean so kindly and patiently ask the ajumma at the counter if you have questions. My favorites include the spicy tofu and beef & radish soup (Soegogi-muguk 쇠고기무국). If you're already grocery shopping at H Mart, cross over Old Denton and give this place a try!

Taste is good but I only have time on weekend. On Sunday, they don't make a fresh food anymore. I try to be there on Saturday but it's so difficult for me. But there good is good.

I love this place! So many Korean side dishes/ banchan are available and taste like my mom or grandma makes at home. It is truly homemade style.

I love to go this place. The food here is delicious. Every time I go, I buy all kinds of side dishes and soups, all of which are delicious. I highly recommended. Considering the cost of ingredients and effort to make at home, buying here is delicious and I think it is beneficial in many ways.

Did the owner/chef change?! I used to buy their cabbage kimchi and radish kimchi all the time but the last two times, they tasted bland/bad. They used to be soooo good, I don’t know what happened. And I’m not the only one who noticed the change in taste. My parents have been buying their kimchi from this place for years and not anymore. What a disappointment…

Stumbled upon this place and it was such a great find! Everything is packaged, refrigerated and ready to take home, lots of options for Korean soups and side dishes, saw some marinated raw meat too. I got a little bit of everything, and it all tastes so good, love the kimchi! Things were all labeled but it was in Korean only, the lady there was so kind and sweet, seems like an authentic place with Korean home cooking

Banchannara specializes in selling various banchans (Korean side dishes) and entree items to-go so you can enjoy home cooked style Korean food with ease. Some items such as marinated meats, savory pancake batter, etc. you'd have to finish cooking at home. You will be overwhelmed with all the options: (4/5) Spicy Beef with Vegetable Soup Not as spicy as it looks and has rich flavor with tons of vegetables. I do wish it had more beef though. (4.5/5) Chili Pepper Muchim Made with shishito peppers, Korean style! It was perfectly cooked and was seasoned very well with nuttiness. These peppers are usually not spicy but I had one pepper that was so spicy it churned my stomach.. so beware (5/5) Green Onion Kimchi One of my favorite types of kimchi. Salty, bold, and refreshing.

Somunnan Banchannara (which means famous side dish land) is a life saver for me. I love Korean food but I don't have the time to make side dishes as it is time-consuming. And my family, unfortunately, have very different tastes and don't like the same side dishes. Many times we can't finish something I make before it goes bad. So this place is perfect for us as they portion it perfectly for our needs and they offer a great variety. Everything is prepared daily and the menu varies. But the day I came I was able to snatch all our favorite side dishes and I was tempted to try some of their soup/stew they offer as well. They close every Wednesday! So keep that in mind if you want to try this great family-owned and friendly place!

Traditional Korean deli with banchan and other pre-made food. Kimbap was very fresh and same with the japchae. Will definitely be back to try the other items here!

A little pricey for the side dishes. However- we would gladly pay extra for them rather than Hmart because they taste much better. Get the kimchi- the cabbage maintain a great freshness/crisp while the spice level and flavor is on point.

요즘에 요리하는 것도 시간이 없고.. 가족들에게 맛있는 집밥은 먹게 해주고 싶어서 고민하다가 반찬가게를 이용해봤어요 삼계탕, 갈비탕 그리고 더덕무침, 오이소박이 등 밑반찬들 잔뜩 사서 며칠은 요리 안하고 맛있는 집밥을 먹었어요 가게에 반찬 종류가 정말 많더라구요?! 반찬 고르는 재미가 있는것 같아요. 다음엔 안먹어본것들 또 사보려 합니다. 메인 요리인 삼계탕 갈비탕도 맛있었지만...! 저는 이집 더덕무침이 너무 맛있네요 양념이 뭐랄까 갓 김장한 김치 먹는 느낌처럼 신선하고 달큰하고 그랬어요 아! 오이소박이두요 넘 아삭하고 양념이 맛있었어요 냠냠 밑반찬 맛집 간편하게~ 또 맛있게~ 집밥 해먹고 싶은 분들께 추천추천 합니다

Best place to get Korean side dishes in Dallas. I tried different stores in the DFW area, including the korean markets, but this store makes the best korean side dishes hands down. I've tried at least 30+ side/main dishes and soups. Never failed on any of them. Tastes just like homemade korean food. They have a large selection of dishes to choose from. Selections vary on different days. All items are made fresh, and are packed and sealed in plastic containers. Soups are fully-cooked and very convenient to eat at home. Just pour some in a bowl and microwave it, or just heat it up for a couple minutes in a pot. My favorites are the dwenjang soup, jeon (korean pancakes), eggplant, marinated squid, the spicy, marinated radish, marinated sesame leaves, etc... the list continues, but I'll stop there. Prices are comparable to what you see at the korean markets. But quality is so much better. Can't believe there's only one review for this business. If you want to try great-quality korean food, you have to try this place out. You'll come back for sure.

This is catering and take out only. They serve ready to cook bulgogi also. Excellent and diverse side dishes. Really enjoyed it. Super authentic.

Our favorite place for ready-made stews and soups. They even have bibimbap kits, and their kimchi is SO good. Highly recommend.

This has become our go-to Korean side dish store since the first time we tried their food. It tastes good, has variety of food choices--side dishes, soups, Korean pancakes and etc.--and the price ranges from $3.99-6.99 mostly. My husband and I both work full time so we've been looking for a decent Korean side dish store in Dallas to save some time for cooking and Boom! We love it here and wish everybody tries their food too. Oh and the owner/casher is super nice and kind too which is another reason why it makes us keep coming here :)
