Awesome service. Our server Caty was super nice and even more patient. Food was absolutely amazing!!!! Only gripe is I wish they had a parking lot for the restaurant and that the drinks (nonalcoholic) are overpriced. Other than that, loved everything about this dinning experience. Also, the sweet treats are not available on the menu. You have to book the $150 package to get the cute sweets in the tiers. :( still loved this place though.

Son & Garden has a very cute atmosphere. We had the chicken and pork belly paninis, and both were amazing. The staff were attentive and lovely, making our visit enjoyable. It wasn’t busy when we went. The restaurant is located in the Tenderloin area, which is pretty dirty with lots of homeless people around, so I’d suggest taking an Uber or taxi to get there. The cocktails were good and had fancy decorations, perfect for a good photo. The place has a very girly vibe.

Beautiful aesthetics & delicious food!! It's so cute and girly, I absolutely love it!! The drinks are cute and creative; the food is seasoned well and plentiful! I have no complaints at all about this place!

Such a beautiful spot to hand out and eat, now I'm talking about the inside, when and how you get there that's a different story. I however really enjoyed the atmosphere here, loved all the floral and the service was good too. The food was amazing everything came out so picture perfect with pedals and flowers I didn't even want to eat it... but I did and it was so delicious. I would definitely recommend.

Ok son & garden was very cutesy and girlie but we were so disappointed because they were not accommodating to my husband shellfish allergy and wouldn’t substitute anything so he could actually eat. So he ended up not eating so if you have some sort of allergy this might not be the place. And it was also a bit pricey because for just me we spent $60+ it seems like you also pay for the aesthetic 🤔 food was good but I would say overpriced!!

Finally had a chance to go there for our anniversary lunch, hadn’t wanted to go because I had the impression it was pricey and not worth it. But given it was our anniversary lunch, I figured I’d want to go somewhere fancier so went for it. The place was disappointingly less beautiful than the pictures or my expectations. The space was the standard long rectangular restaurant style without any special architectural distinction. Being there in person I could tell the flowers were all fake so that took it down a notch, not that I expected them to be real fresh flowers but the fakeness was striking and hard to get over. While I don’t do instagram and didn’t need some glamor shot to post, I still wanted nice photos for memories sake and definitely was underwhelmed with the decor. The one unexpected positive thing is that the food was actually very tasty, perhaps because I was expecting it to be over priced and not good as often is the case when one goes for decor and atmosphere. However, both myself and hubby’s dishes (beef stew and crab omelet) were delicious and served quickly without much wait which I really appreciated. Service was prompt though not memorable and felt distant and cordial rather than warm and fuzzy, but that’s ok, I wasn’t there to make friends.

I absolutely loved brunch at Son and Garden. I was a bit hesitant after reading the reviews which stated this is a Instagram place. Do not get it misunderstood, aesthetically it’s gorgeous. If you love Alice in Wonderland, you will love this whimsical restaurant. It’s beautifully decorated with flowers sprinkled with McKenzie Childs famous checkered print. Make sure you have a reservation. I’d imagine the line is always long to get into this place. Now moving onto food and drinks. Again, I was assuming the drinks were similar to sugar factory - stunning to look at but too sweet. I was so wrong! I got the little bird drink 3 times. It was so fun and even better, delicious. We also got the espresso martini which was top notch. The food was good. The portions were large. They had a good selection to meet most dietary needs. The service was great. You are told you have 90 minutes to enjoy your meal. That part always bothers me when paying a high ticket price for brunch but it ended up being a perfect amount of time. I would recommend going here if you want something that brings you instant joy when you step into these rooms. Very delightful experience.

Beautiful place to celebrate a birthday or any day! The plethora of flowers makes it feel like you’re walking into a secret garden. The food is delicious but the best part is the drinks! One thing to note for people not from the Bay Area: the neighborhood is challenging so if you drive, there is a garage a couple blocks away or take transit and save on parking. Just be vigilant as you walk to and from the restaurant.

This was my second visit to this location, and it did not disappoint! We were eager to try the Krabby Patty Kollab while it was still available, and I'm so glad we did. The burger was absolutely delicious! While egg may not be an ingredient in the Krabby Patty in SpongeBob's world, adding it here took the flavor to a new level. The sauce that accompanied the fries was also a standout. And as a bonus, you get to keep the box in which the meal comes - such a fun touch! I believe they are only serving this for a limited time, so try it while you can! We also ordered the Korean Benedict. The bone-in short rib was incredibly tender, practically falling off the bone. The portion sizes are generous, leaving me with plenty of leftovers to enjoy later. To complement our meal, we ordered the Under the Sea and Lolita Fizz cocktails. Both were refreshingly delicious and beautifully presented. The ambiance of the restaurant enhances the overall dining experience. The service was fantastic as well. Highly recommend this place!

Came with friends to try out a new restaurant for brunch! For drinks, we got iced and hot ube latte, mocha latte, and drip coffee. For food, we ordered the belly ranchero, bibimbap, ricotta pancakes, and matcha mochi pancakes! We enjoyed the food thoroughly, the service was good, and the ambiance was very pretty! I loved all the floral decor, wallpaper, lights, and screens!! Food summary: Bibimbap 10/10 Came with fried chicken, mushrooms, several veggies, sauce in the bowl as well as more sauce on the side, and a fried egg! The portion was very big for this one, and seemed bigger than the other pancake options my friends ordered. I honestly had enough to eat and leftovers for another meal. The taste was very good - an explosive blend of spice, the right amount of sweetness, and textured crispiness! Would definitely get it again! Iced ube latte 9/10 Overall, the ube flavor is not too strong, and as the ice melted, it got more watered down. I think in the future, I might get it with less ice, but I very much still enjoyed the drink! Definitely recommend this place!!

1/12/24 Asian fusion brunch in the tenderloin! When you walk inside it's like you're in a different dimension bc it looks so different from the outside. It's in a sketch area so just be mindful of that if you plan on coming here. The service was really good though. Got the smoked salmon benedict ($22) and have no complaints with it. All the food was good if not a little pricey.

This place is so cute with the decor. Easy to take some cute photos. Food was delicious had the mochi pancakes, french toast and farmhouse omelette. A few things to consider, parking is a pain in the asss but the 1000 van ness parking garage is near by which is nice. They don't substitute anything so you are stuck with what you order. Over all it's a cute small place but worth the try. I enjoyed it.

Amazing place!! I came here for brunch with a big group of people and it was very easy to get a reservation. The table we sat at is shared with other groups, but it didn't bother us. The interior was beautiful, with multiple walls decorated with flowers! We got our food within 5-10 minutes of ordering, and the plates not only looked amazing they were delicious. The portions were also very big. Can't wait to return!

If you want an Instagramable or TikTok aesthetically pleasing restaurant then this is the spot for you. Food wise, not so much. Ambiance: 8/10 Beautifully decorated interior perfect for all of those seeking a cute aesthetic spot. Flowers galore. Food:5/10 We got the Bibimbap, loco moco, and some French toast dish. The food was OK, but nothing outstanding. We also got some alcoholic beverages. I would say be careful if you have a low alcohol tolerance because their drinks were heavier on the alcoholic side. Everything was super good presentation. Service: 6/10 Service was OK. If you've ever been to an Asian restaurant before, then you know the particular type of service that you will get here. Some people mentioned a rude waitress and I think I know who they're talking about when we went she just came across as, direct and no funny business type in my opinion. The other waiters were nice, but don't expect a five star restaurant type service. Overall: Go for the aesthetics and pictures if you want. Food is mediocre at best.

Went here for a work lunch to celebrate a new colleague and it was such a joy! First the atmosphere once you come in is neon signs, bountiful flowers that cover the restaurant and allow for photo opportunities (especially if you are waiting for a table). We were seated at a large middle table and there was much to take in, a large set of screens behind me that had a sweet cat and a landscape seen playing, fun, bop in your chair music, and the QR codes for the menus. We did breakfast during the weekday and everyone LOVED their food! I got the Hawaiian Scramble, but everyone raved about the benedicts. Portions were large and service was friendly, helpful, attentive. We also got tea, and wow did I love my blooming tea, which was in a clear pot so you could see the flower bloom and infuse with the tea. All the tea-types came in beautiful tea pots, with adorable cups and saucers and some meals even had adorable animals on the plates! It was so sweet, cute, delicious, fun! Come for the experience, stay for the food, and service, and its close proximity to Bart!

I came here with a couple of friends. We made a reservation ahead of time and got seated once most of our group had arrived. They sat us down in a side area instead of the main building area, which was pretty nicely decorated with fake flowers and other props. When we visited, they had a Little Mermaid or "Under the Sea" theme. I tried the Sakura latte, which came in a cute bear cup. I thought it tasted more like warm strawberry milk rather than flowery, but my boyfriend said that's how other sakura drinks tasted from Japanese stores. We also tried the bibimbap and belly ranchero. The bibimbap was pretty good, not exactly traditional, but the flavors were nice. I would have liked a larger and juicier piece of chicken, though. The kimchi fried rice was nice. The belly ranchero was interesting, but I didn't like something about the taste of the pork; it just didn't come together that well. The service was decent, no complaints. However, the place includes a 20% service charge, making it pretty expensive for what you get. Overall, the food was okay, and the theming was nice, albeit a little cheesy. Maybe I would try some of their sweet items next time if I wanted a vibey brunch.

Food (4.5/5): The food is delicious, I've tried the bimbimbap, belly ranchero tacos, matcha mochi pancakes, and the loco moco, none of them were misses. My favorites were the bimbimbap and matcha mochi pancakes, both were so delicious! I've had the ube latte and sakura mimosa and both were good. Everything is aesthetically plated. Service (4.75/5): The service was consistently attentive both times I went. The staff is so professional and considerate. I've been here twice for brunch; the second time I went I was celebrating two friends' birthday, and the staff busted out with tambourines and serenaded both friends with happy birthday and a sweet treat for each. Ambiance (4.75/5): The decor within the restaurant is beautiful. If you get lucky to get seated in the tea lounge next door, everything will be so pretty, even the bathroom. If you share food, they bring cute colorful plates with animals on them. Both days I went (Sat morning and Sun morning) it was easy to find parking.

Son & Garden is viral for their brunch menu and high tea experience, however, their dinner offerings exceeded my expectations as well! Our favorite was the loco moco, which was a perfectly cooked wagyu beef patty in a bed of Japanese rice, tomato salsa curry, mushroom gravy and egg on top. We also loved the tuna tartare and crispy brussels sprout as starters. The romantic and cozy ambiance is perfect for date night, girls night or any celebration!

Phenomenal brunch. Absolutely closest to the pinnacle of what I want in a brunch experience. I made a reservation for a party of 6 and the staff were so friendly and forgiving because the rest of my party ended up being around 15 minutes late to the reservation. The service staff also smiled so often, they were lively, considerate, and attentive in refilling water as well as fulfilling requests. Before I talk about the food, I also want to highlight the dining atmosphere (reference pictures). The decor is very floral and extravagant. To some, it may be a visually sensual overload, but I found it to make the brunch experience whimsical and enjoyable. Even the bathroom is decorated! Now, the crowning highlights of a 5-star brunch location. I ordered the belly ranchero and It was basically a pork belly eggs Benedict on tortillas instead of English muffins. Plating was beautiful, the fruit tasted sweet, potatoes were wonderfully crisp, and the meat was abundant. I would say I wished I ordered what my boyfriend got (the bibimbap), as that dish tasted fantastic. The matcha mochi pancakes were also extremely good. The pancakes themself are not too sweet, having a depth of matcha and chewiness of mochi true to the name, but the lack of sweetness really helps the fruit, syrup, and cream embellish the dish in a way that makes it not overwhelmingly sweet. Everyone in my party raves about these pancakes. Overall, my entire party was overjoyed from both taste and aesthetic of the food here.

Honestly the food wasn't memorable. We got a cherry blossom latte (or milk) and it tasted like strawberry milk, I was expecting something floral. I glanced at the table next to us and saw they were having a tea party with a super cute dessert tray. Maybe their sweet is more popular than savory dishes. I am giving 5 stars because we came for the view and this place absolutely crushed it. All the floral theme decorations were so gorgeous. Making me feel like a princess. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Experience location. Cute girly decorations. We had spotty service, but food was good. Food highlight is really presentation. Ordered tea, tea pot and cup comes out. I then ask for honey.. no spoon received... endless back and forth just trying to get someone's attention. This didn't sour the experience, just frustrating. Food comes out, crab omlete... different flavors... sun dried tomatoes, capers, celery, crab... not bad, just different. Three main take aways: .. 1. Don't trust reservations when she says, just come we will seat you. No... make a reservation. I called two blocks away, and yet when arrived was liked at like had two heads. Only go if you have a reservation... they pack their customers in. 2. Primary clientele fairly young... think 20-40. Also, a bit urban flavor... in the tenderloin. 3. They add 25% not including tax to the bill. I personally was not impressed with that move. This took our $70 bill to $100. In dirty, but we had two crab omelets... I really don't think breakfast without gold flakes, should cost $100 for two. I'm giving them 4 stars for unique, but will not be a regular. ‍

Son & Garden is so cute! It's kind of expensive, because you do pay the "cute tax" to dine here, but it's a nice treat once in a while. The sakura latte was so tasty I ordered two. It's served in a little bear head glass that's truly adorable. If you're celebrating a birthday or special event, I think this is a perfect vibey place. The food was pretty tasty, and if you want a very colorful cute meal, this is the place for you. Definitely make a reservation and heads up that the tables are limited to 90 minute seatings.

This is one of the most beautiful spots in SF. Covered in roses, serving delicious food and fun colorful drinks - it's the perfect brunch spot with amazing photo ops! The location is horrible though. Would highly recommend finding a better location out of the tenderloin that is safer for guests.

A MUST for brunch in San Fran!! We made reservations on a Saturday morning 2 hours before arriving to eat through yelp. Which was very convenient, a lot of places in SF don't offer reservations through yelp. We got there 15 minutes late because of parking issues but they were so kind and got us seated right away. There's a main building and a second entrance to the "secret" building next door. They're both beautifully designed with flower decor, Alice in Wonderland pictures and scenery, comfortable velvet seats and couches to sit on with pillows. I loved the ambiance. The food was very aesthetic as well! They have cocktails with cotton candy and edible butterflies, bears made out of colored ice, and they offer fancy mocktails as well for people who aren't drinking alcohol! We ordered the ricotta pancakes and they were absolutely delicious. Covered in blueberries and syrup with a beautiful side of strawberries, blackberries, kiwi and blueberries. We ordered soft scrambled eggs and they were cooked to perfection! Everything was wonderful.

Believe the hype! This place was so fabulous on all levels! Aesthetics - on point! The ambiance is so fun, vibrant and exudes brunch-y feminine vibes in every way imaginable. They even have a cute little photo area at the entrance because you know you gotta capture your cute outfit! Food and drinks - spectacular! Not only were they beautiful, they tasted delicious. So many options it was hard to choose. We ordered a bunch and loved every single thing. You cannot go wrong! The portions were also a great size and we left completely stuffed! Service - wonderful! The staff matched the vibes and brought enthusiasm, friendliness and were very attentive. They sang to people with birthdays and made sure to make each and every table feel special. The security guard out front was also super friendly and upbeat. 100% recommend checking this spot out and booking it for your next celebration!

I have been wanting to try Son & Garden for 3+ years now!! Just had not had the chance to try it out, especially because I worked for a few years relatively close to the Palo Alto location. Anywho, our group had plans for an escape room and we had to fit in Son & Garden into our day. I scheduled a reservation fo the 9 of us a month prior and we arrived on time. They took us a few doors down into an extended seating area which was far more quiet and private which I enjoyed substantially. My SO and I ordered the ocean / seafood panini and he got an ube latte, bread pudding and the burger with fries. As a group, we shared the matcha pancakes and holy smokes, EVERYTHING we had was so fresh, very well made, had the juiciest fruits and I could taste every flavor node in each bite. Although the panini was good, in hindsight, I should have gotten the fried chicken as a friend let me try a bite of the chicken and it was so crispy. We left the place very delighted to go to our escape room and we got to do a quick photo op in the "You're gorgeous" section. It was worth every penny. A few friends who had tried the Palo Alto location all pointed out the SF location had far better food quality along with presentation and decor, so take that as you will~

4.5 stars I had the house omelet which was delicious. The portion was appropriate for the price as well. The decor is whimsical and the venue seemed clean. Props for cleanliness despite the intricate decor! Staff were attentive and friendly. My friend and I also had the vegan tofu scramble. This dish lacked spice and flavor and left something to be desired (hence the 4.5 rating).

Came here on a Sunday at 1:30 for my Birthday with two friends. Service was slow. Decor is super cute. Food was ok. $12 for two pieces of millionaire bacon. $8 for a tiny bowl of fruit. $17 for whimsical cocktails. I got the matcha mochi pancakes. Delicious and unique. Light matcha flavor. Fun spot for a ladies party. Definitely a once in a Lifetime experience.

Wow wow wow!! I LOVE this place! First of all, the restaurant is very pretty and decorated beautifully with all the colorful flowers and Alice in Wonderland theme. They have two sides, the bar and the restaurant side. We didn't know there was a bar side until the server told us later on so we were in the restaurant side. They have a spot for us to take picture in the front, and one with the instagram photo spot inside which I don't think you can make a reservation for it. But the server was super nice and helped us take pictures in both spots. In term of food, we got matcha mochi pancake and son and garden omelette to share. The portion is big. My favorite was mochi pankcake. It tasted so good and chewy. just like mochi! The omelette was good too but nothing to brag about. We also got a hot matcha latte that came in a really cute bear cup with a side of syrup. It was really good! All the servers are super friendly! Our server was super professional and offered to take pictures for us. He also took us to take picture on the bar side! He also let us know that the 20% service charge was already included which was really nice of him. I wish I knew his name so I could do a shout out for him here. I highly recommend you to make a reservation for this place. I did mine through Yelp and they did require us to put our credit card information and if we don't show up, they will charge $25 per person for no show. Overall, it was a very fun experience and would definitely come back again!

This food was some of the best brunch I've ever had. They attended to my and my girls group the best & they even welcomed my fur baby Chanel. Everyone enjoyed it. Would love to come back soon. The drinks were a whole lot of fun too! Good food made w/ LOVE. I love you too chef

Went here on a Monday morning and absolutely no wait! Place was almost empty so that was great since I heard this place can get pretty busy. I love matcha and these mochi pancakes were pretty good. Obviously they looked gorgeous but the taste was pretty yum. And honestly, it wasn't too expensive either($20) . Comparing this to other breakfast places I would pay around $17 for something similar but if you're going for a place that doesn't have these type of foods then yes, it will definitely be cheaper! It's pretty cute inside with a nice couch in the corner with lights. Clean bathrooms as well and good parking outside though in SF you do have to pay. I do think I got lucky since it wasn't usual rush hour

Son & Done! -My stomach after finishing everyone's leftovers. This was a really unique dining experience. I've seen S&G all over Instagram for years but never went til now. Everything from the decor, to the food was really pretty (although they really went all in on the hot pink Barbie theme!) We were seated within the secret bar area, not the regular restaurant. Turns out you can still order food as there are regular tables next to the bar seating. Matcha Mochi Pancakes 7/10: These were unique, and while solid in taste, the matcha powder and the thickness of the mochi/pancake mix ended up a little dry and tasted a bit too matcha-y for the table! Ocean Panini 7/10: The sandwich was ok, the bits of crab or lobster were nice but the bay shrimp didn't taste that fresh and kind of killed the dish for me. The side salad wasn't my favorite either. I'm trying really hard but i can't remember the name of this fried chicken and brioche/Brie combo dish that has the knife sticking through it! That said, this was pretty good, I'd give it 8.5/10. You get a really nice mix of sweet and savory for the price, it was a special menu item that may have been seasonal. Cloud 9 Cocktail 8/10: Kind of a cool design and the cotton candy made me a bit nostalgic but it's basically sparkling wine with a couple toppings. Loco Moco 7/10: Idk what this monstrosity is but I had to finish it as my friend's stomach wasn't feeling too hot. It's essentially a layer of white rice topped with a wagyu? beef patty and an egg, surrounded with sauce. It's not bad, quite the hearty meal but everything here is a bit pricy. Ube Latte 10/10: Drink seemed to be a good one by table consensus and the bear mug is really cute! Overall I'd think everyone might want to try S&G at least once if it's within the budget, but expect a bill of around $50/person with a mandatory 20% gratuity I believe. Decor is definitely tailored to be cute/aesthetic, so I wouldn't bring the boys around for a dinner date here hehe.

We had the most incredible Christmas dinner celebration at this amazing restaurant! We decided to try their Loco Moco dish, and let me tell you, it was absolutely divine. The flavors were on point, and we couldn't get enough of it. One thing that truly stood out were the drinks - they were not only delicious but also incredibly cute! It added an extra touch of charm to our evening. My coworkers were delighted by how adorable the place was, making it perfect for capturing Instagram-worthy pictures. The drinks were so cute that they made the whole experience even more enjoyable. In addition to the delightful Loco Moco, we also tried the calamari, which was cooked to perfection. The flavors were well-balanced, and it left us wanting more. The service was exceptional, with the staff being both friendly and attentive. They made sure our needs were met throughout the evening, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Their attentiveness added to the overall positive ambiance of the restaurant. I can confidently say that I will definitely be returning to this place, and I can't wait to bring my other friends here. The combination of delicious food, cute drinks, and a warm ambiance make it a must-visit spot. This place looked very exciting from the pictures, ambience and food seemed very promising. We reserved a tea party experience for the New Year day brunch. Expectations were just what you expect to have from a tea party - chill and relaxing. However, upon arrival we realized that there was a dj playing uplifting hip hop and house music, music itself was good tho but I don't think it was a fit the vibe (at least in my opinion). It was a bit too loud, times a bit too uplifting for the morning after New Year's Eve parties. Our tea experience was prepaid already and as far as I remember it already included 20% gratuity. Staff really didn't care much lol. I doubt I would leave 20% if I would have to pay on the spot. As for the food, it was very average. Definitely not worth the price. Tea was good but it was a tea bag so nothing special

When you enter the place it truly transports you to Alice in wonderland with rabbits and cards adorned in the decor. The servers are very professional and helpful. We ordered a mushroom and a salmon Benedict . Both were well made and delicious. The portions are pretty heavy, but still we had to make room for dessert. The ricotta pancake was absolutely delicious. The drinks too were artfully presented and were refreshing. Overall it's the perfect cute brunch date spot!!

I had brunch here recently & had a great experience. The decor is very cute, decorated with faux flowers on walls & ceiling & the entrance features an Insta-worthy wall with neon sign. We shared the mochi pancakes which were green tea flavored & not too sweet. They were so yummy that we devoured it pretty quickly. I had the fried chicken & waffle & my friend had the crab Benedict. The chicken was huge, perfectly crispy & I could only eat half (and had the leftovers for dinner, lol). Service is friendly & helpful. This is located in the TL & parking is pretty tough so I'd recommend taking an Uber.

The area is really sketchy (Tenderloin), but the food, service, and decor were great. I would've given it 4 stars, but I am only rating this place 2 stars because their management has added a 5% SF employee health surcharge (ok, that's fine i guess) but then an automatic 20% gratuity on top of that -- making it an automatic 21% more expensive than what customers expect based on the menu. That's 21%, not 20%, because the 20% gratuity is on top of the menu price + 5% surcharge. Prior to August, this was only applied to parties of 5 or greater, but now they are charging all customers this way. I don't appreciate all of these hidden charges and fees that they don't tell you about until after the check arrives. The tip amount should ALWAYS be left up to the customer to decide unless if it's for a large party. We will not be coming back because of this. SF's surcharge and tipping culture has gotten out of hand.

made a reservation for sunday brunch and the place was pretty busy. lots of floral decor, as well as ariel/ocean themed decor since they're doing an under the sea themed tea time special. - son & garden omelet (3/5): this was ok, it was a little bland. the potatoes were good, but the scone tasted kind of floral? which i typically don't like - sakura latte (3.5/5): my friend described this a strawberry nesquik which i think is pretty accurate. i liked it, but didn't taste the sakura - matcha mochi pancake: this was also ok. the cream had a pretty strong/slightly bitter matcha flavor which paired well with how sweet the pancake/maple syrup were, but i think im just not a fan of mochi pancakes - my friends also agreed and felt like their dishes were just alright as well, though they were pretty to look at overall, cute place but the food was a huge miss. with how big brunch culture is in sf, you can definitely find better places

Cutest ambiance I love the decor! The purple latte tasted amazing. However, if you go on a weekend morning or afternoon be prepared to wait because they're busy during brunch hours.

Made a reservation for a group of 6 at 12pm on a Saturday and checking in for our table was a breeze! Your entire party does need to be present in order to be seated, just FYI! We were pleasantly surprised to see we were seated at the cutest floral corner, it was my bday brunch so that was such a nice surprise! Our server was quick to greet us, brought us waters and was so welcoming. Ordering was also a breeze since the menus can easily be pulled up via a QR code. Most of the group ordered the Into the Forest drink and wow, it was so refreshing but note that it is fairly sweet. We shared the matcha pancakes to start which was really delicious, not too bitter (from matcha) and it paired well with the syrup and assorted fruits it was topped with. I got the fried chicken Benedict which I 10/10 highly recommend! The breading wasn't too heavy and the chicken was perfectly cooked/moist. The potatoes were also seasoned well and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal overall. The only item I disliked was the bread it came with as it was tough to chew/eat and I ended up not eating it. Some other items my friends had and I tasted: - Korean Benedict: bone-in short rib was cooked perfectly. It is a heavy meal as it comes with kimchi fried rice. - Country Benedict: loved the hollandaise sauce but fyi it comes with the bread that was tough to bite/chew. - Loco Moco: the mushroom gravy was soo flavorful with the patty. Would not eat the pineapple salsa, just not my thing. Overall, our servers were friendly/attentive and the inside was such a nice floral vibe. The place can get busy so I recommend making a reservation if you have a large group. I'll definitely be back again!

First of all, this restaurant is in the Tenderloin. The area is not great. Lots of homeless & drug users in the are. But the restaurant itself was great. Ambiance was very cute. Very instaworthy set-up. Lots of fake flowers all over the place, big screen on the wall which had Barbie stuff playing. The interior decor was a bit gaudy but made a cool atmosphere for the restaurant. There was a round table at the corner which was set up for another instaworthy shot. The customer was decked out in a pink prom dress. So I guess ppl really get into the Barbie theme while eating at this restaurant. Service: the host and waiter was great. No complaints on the service. Food: the food was actually good! I ordered a mocha with oat milk. Usually coffee doesn't taste as good as coffee at an actual coffeehouse; but I loved my mocha. It was perfect. There were 2 tables that pre-ordered the Barbie party special. This came with a huge pink jewelry box that had pastries in the drawers. There was a Barbie car, Barbie, and pink cotton candy on top of the jewelry box. It was quite amazing actually This place does a great job with food presentation and creativity. I'd definitely come back.

Very shady location but good restaurant! Perfect if you like dressing up for the occasion and getting your picture taken. I happened to fit in with the theme when I stopped by for brunch with a friend but you might stick out a bit if you don't put some effort into your outfit and it doesn't align with spring flowers and light pastels. I wish there were more choices on the menu since I'm not the biggest fan of asparagus but I ordered the smoked salmon benedict. The asparagus did pair nicely with it and I've never been the type to deviate from what is presented on a menu so it's not a big deal. If you don't mind asparagus and also love smoked salmon i would recommend this dish. The English muffins here weren't my favorite, they were a bit on the tough and thick side which made them rather difficult to slice. But the eggs were poached nicely and the hollandaise had the right consistency on the runnier side and a good zesty hint of lemon. For some reason it was everyone and their mom's birthday this day. The staff do come around with maracas and tambourines to sing happy birthday, so if you're trying to find an experience to embarrass a friend look no further. If you're trying to have a quiet and peaceful brunch experience though, just be warned that this seems to be a destination spot for birthday celebrations.

Super cute decor that'll make you feel like you stepped into the world of Alice in Wonderland! My coworkers and I came here for lunch after volunteering nearby as it was close by and they took reservations for 15 of us. The staff were friendly and patient as they got through taking all of our orders. I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte and the Korean Benedict. The latte was great and actually came separate from the milk, so you could adjust the flavor to your liking. Now on to the food! First of all, the plate was massive with loads of potatoes, kimchi fried rice, two poached eggs, and a huge piece of short rib smothered in sauce. The potatoes were delicious, crispy outside and softer inside. The short rib basically fell off the bone and had so much flavor. I wasn't able to finish it all myself, so next time I'll definitely share it! When we were there, many people there were taking cute Instagram photos with their photo wall or fun drinks. This little gem is located in a bit of a rougher area of the city, but it was fine taking an Uber/Lyft to and from here. Seems like they do fun themes on top of all of the gorgeous decor also. (Barbie themed when we were there around the time the Barbie movie came out)

Really really disappointing Mother's Day brunch. This place felt dated and sad. Strange Disney knockoff mermaid theme and a techno soundtrack with high tea made for a random chaotic experience. Added some additional dishes to make it more brunch-like and food was overall decent, but couldn't get over average service, sad interior, and everything looking like an abandoned, second-tier Disney cafeteria from the 90s. Definitely not worth a trip to the city plus over $400 for 4 people (with no alcohol). From the website and the marketing, this place seems upscale, but it is anything but. Don't waste your time or your money here.

I must be frank here. It does not matter what you order here. It doesn't matter how much it costs here. Why? The service is exquisite. The front and back of the house are filled with culinary magicians and alchemists. Bring plenty of money and plenty of friends. Order anything that enchants your eye and bring it home if you're full. It will be amazing, delicious and abundant!. They will wow you! I do recommend public transportation or parking wherever and splitting a car/Waymo/Uber/etc. Everyone will be at their most comfortable that way. There are linations to be had! Please visit and enjoy.

Son and Garden gets 1 star for its AMAZING drinks, and 1 star for being the prettiest little restaurant in an other-wise hideous corner of San Francisco. Otherwise, there's absolutely nothing to come back for. My friends took me here for my birthday as it was walking distance from where we were at the time. The walk to the spot and the general area it's located in is not very pretty and borders on dangerousness. Just a heads up. That bears little influence on my actual review. My review is on the food, which is on the bad side of mediocre, at best. The veggie burger is practically the only vegetarian item on the menu that doesn't contain eggs. It was inedible. I ended up just picking at the inside of the burger. I've had burgers with real meat in them be less greasy and taste less fried than this. I felt sick all day after eating even the little pieces that I did. The fries were burnt to a crisp. The highlight of eating here were their drinks. Their kiwi forest drink is the most delicious thing I've tasted in a long, long time. The espresso martini tasted like a coffee milkshake. They had a heavy pour on the champagne in their mimosas too. This is absolutely a wonderful drink spot, and that's the only thing I'd come back for. The inside is also just stunning; you can tell they put in a lot of work on their IG aesthetic.

Great for brunch! Plenty of space for big groups! There was a Barbie theme going on when my friends and I went so everything was pink and all the cocktails were Barbie themed which was really fun! The portions of the food are huge so you are getting what you are paying for. The fried chicken entrees were delicious with the chicken being fried to perfection! The staff are nice and attentive. I recommend the stuffed French toasted with fried chicken!

My friend and I came here for the Barbie High Tea Time, and it was such a great experience. The restaurant itself was decorated beautifully and appropriately for Halloween. Tea Time was set up in another area so we had to wait for it to be set up but it was worth the wait. We got to pick a tea to steep before eating the tea time snacks and pastries. It is really an Instagrammable setup and I would love to come for the regular food next time. It's just hard since it's in SF and parking is a hassle. There was fresh fruit, sandwiches, various pastries, and a dessert cup from Anton. The tea set was beautiful and I would love it for myself.

Definitely on of those Instagram restaurants but the food is actually good here. I really enjoyed the omelette and the orange juice was fresh squeezed. The food is good but the prices are a little high. My orange juice in a small teddy bear mason jar was $8.

This review is long overdue! My cousin and I wanted to venture out to a nice brunch spot, and came across this place. It is truly an instagram worthy little restaurant decked with a flower wall and chaise to take pictures while you wait to be seated. The wait for us wasn't too long as it was just us two. Drinks: I ordered the Under the Sea, which was really nice and refreshing. I also love the shimmery edible glitter they added in the drink along with the cute rubber ducky. Food: My cousin and I both ordered the Bibimbap. It comes with an egg that is usually laid on top, but I opted out as I'm not a fan of eggs. However, this dish was top-tier!! The presentation alone was stunning, but we absolutely inhaled this dish. The fried chicken was crispy and well seasoned. The rice and vegetables were great as well, and the sauce tied it all together. I wish I lived in the area so I could frequent this place, but I definitely plan on coming back if I'm ever in town!

The ambiance is akin to dining in a Victorian garden, but the noise level feels more like a bustling sports bar when you close your eyes. The food is good with generous portions, and the drinks come in charming cups or lavishly decorated glasses, adding a novel touch. However, the service is mediocre at best, as the rush to accommodate the high demand led to a lack of attentiveness. Despite the extended wait at Son & Garden, the server hurried us to finish, yet checking on the table was infrequent. It took considerable effort to get their attention for necessary condiments. In summary, it's worth a visit for novelty, but the overall experience may not warrant a return.

I came for a last minute brunch with some girlfriends on an early Sunday morning. I definitely recommend making a reservation because even though we came before the brunch rush we still had to wait 20 min to be seated. The decorations and ambiance of this restaurant are definitely its strength! They also have beautiful and delicious drinks from lattes to cocktails. Absolutely instagram-worthy. The plating of the food is also beautiful no matter what you order. The ONLY con of this place is its location in comparison to its Menlo Park location which is much more spacious and in a nicer area. Otherwise it's a great place to celebrate a special occasion or even just feel like you're a girl in a big city- we saw both a bachelorette party and a baby shower while we were there!

Finally made it to their San Francisco location, definitely not in a great neighborhood, which made me prefer the one in Menlo Park a bit more. We were early but the place got filled up quick. Everything we ordered came with a huge portion and tasted really good. The drinks were pretty and had the right amount of alcohol for brunch. Since we were early, all the drinks and food were served and refilled fairly quick. Love this place but not too much for SF location.

Food was delicious & well plated , portion size was fulfilling. Drinks are adorable and delicious must try the cotton candy drink "Cloud 9 " it's delicious , price wise I would have to say not so cute , ring light Photo Booth is a must check out before you leave overall experience worth a try
