Sonder Duane Street

Location was great. Staff was very friendly and they suggested good bars to visit that night. They were flexible with check in. Room was nice although the half open shower gets old. Although water pressure was great and the water never strayed from hot. Bed was comfy. It was a nice cozy NYC room

Everything about this hotel was amazing! Our room was great and way bigger than I thought it was going to be. I did hear some people rooms were really small but ours was great! The staff were SO friendly! And there was a code to get in the front door so you felt very safe. Location was perfect and close to everything including the best shopping in Soho! I would 100% stay here again! Highly recommend! Until next time NYC!

The location is very convenient. The room rate is high, yet you charge extra for cleaning. I travel extensively around the world – over 50 countries – and this is the first time I've encountered something like this. But the most disappointing part was that, despite paying for cleaning, all they did was change the towels. When I asked why the bed linen wasn’t changed, they simply left a new set of bed linen by the door. The soundproofing is very poor; you can hear everything happening in the corridor. For two consecutive nights, other guests were arguing loudly in the hallway, making it impossible to sleep.

My new home away from home in Manhattan. I could pretend to be living there again, in a small doorman building rather than a hotel. Spotlessly clean, firm mattress, great shower and bath products. The coffee was not great but with so many wonderful choices within a couple of blocks I was delighted to head out each morning for my fix.

I’ve stayed in many Sonders and this one felt subpar. Our bathroom shower felt unclean, with visible mold along the shower edges and several pieces of hair from the last guest on the bathroom floor which is unacceptable. The whole unit felt like it needed a deep professional clean. Our window cover that you roll up & down would not go down all the way and was getting stuck, which means we had to keep our curtains closed most of the time to avoid ppl seeing into our unit from the street/losing privacy. It would be nicer if each unit had a thin curtain behind the thick one so light could be let in the unit during the morning without people being able to see in from the street. The staff was very nice, but I wouldn’t book here again for those reasons, just lack of attention to detail.

All the staff at the front desk were so friendly and helpful. The location/area is wonderful while staying in Manhattan, as it’s peaceful and relaxing to retreat away from the hustle and bustle. Room had everything we needed, was clean and quiet at night time. Subway right at the corner and short walk to city hall for more lines. Short walk to World Trade Center too and Brooklyn Bridge

We booked the suite, with a king size bead and sofa bed. This apartment was very comfortable, clean, quiet, modern but with a “homey” feel. We absolutely loved the area, within walking distance to the chambers st subway and approx 15 min walking to the world trade centre. There are many amenities nearby, as well as good coffee and dining. Checking in and out was easy and fuss free. Staff were friendly and approachable. Luggage can be stored safely away free of charge until 10pm after checkout. Sonder ticked all the boxes for me. Having been to NYC a few times before the Sonder apartment has been one of my favourite places to stay. I highly recommend it to others and will stay here again. Thank you Sonder.

I will definitely book my stay here again. My friend and I had a great 2 days stay here. Location is great. It is near to train station, walkable to Oculus, ground zero, financial district and Soho. Also, a lot of food restaurant choices nearby.
