I loved staying here! Ben checked me in and he was really friendly, nice, told me everything I needed to know about my stay and had a contagiousss positive energy. Whenever my requests for housekeeping weren't getting done, he called my room and followed up with me & immediately got things taken care of swiftly. The fact that he even called the room after to confirm I got what I had requested made it all better. That's called GREAT customer service! That made me feel appreciated. Great stay!

I stayed here a month ago and I just want to say Timothy at the front desk was very very friendly & his hospitality was awesome! Please give this guy a raise or something. I have observed this man handle himself well. I saw a customer being rude to him because their card wasn't working & it totally doesn't make sense to get mad at him because if your card is not working, use another card. But, Timothy stayed polite and continued to stay patient with them until the card started to work. I admired that about him so kudos to him! Great staff over there! Great rooms! Great service. I'll be coming back for sure.

Stayed here for a weekend and overall it was great. The front desk guy could’ve been more welcoming (maybe he was tired or something) but other than that it was a great stay. The rooms are big, the shower is spacious, the gym was good for cardio, and the location is close enough to several stores. After we checked out they charged me $56.50 for a “destination charge” which was supposed to be included with the total cost but it was charged separately. I called the front desk and they were nice enough to refund it back. Awesome customer service. When I come back I’ll definitely be staying here again.

My room was clean, comfortable, and contemporary. Check in was quick and easy. Staff was courteous and went the extra mile when I had a special request. Meeting rooms were cozy. Hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Located in Bee Cave next to a large upscale shopping center.

I booked a room on 8/7 which was a deluxe king room. I had a work event on 9/15 and 16. When I went to check in I was given a room key. I walked in the room and I began looking for the bed. All I saw was a sofa bed. Obviously the bed must be behind a hidden door! So I called the front desk and said, “I know this may sound crazy but is there a bed in the room?” The female that answered said, “Oh, Housekeeping didn’t make up the bed” Confused, I asked- “Where’s the bed?” She responded- “Oh, housekeeping didn’t make up the bed!” At this point I felt gaslit. I bluntly asked, “Is it only a sofa bed?” She said, yes, it’s called a Parlor room. I expressed that I was not interested in paying $200 dollars to sleep on a sofa bed. This should have been told upfront. They did offer a free appetizer and a discount. They did issue a refund for the room and I was able to secure lodging somewhere else but this was completely unacceptable.

Upon arrival, the service desk was not very welcoming, but they weren't rude either. It was more dismissive than anything. The room was on the first floor and provided more space than I needed, a great view of the patio, and easy access to the lobby and garage. The rooftop restaurant was nice and provided a great view. The breakfast wasn't great, but because of the location, there were plenty of other options. The pool is very nice. I would recommend staying here to anyone in the area.

Google
Everything about the hotel was great, the staff were wonderful and the location was perfect. However, I was shocked when I got to my room. It felt more like a closet than a guest room, which I could have overlooked since I don’t need a lot of space. What I couldn’t overlook was the bed, or rather, the lack of one. Instead of a proper bed, there was a pull-out couch with a rock-hard mattress. To make matters worse, the hotel didn’t even provide proper bedding; all that was on it was a single sheet. For the price I paid, equal to everyone else, this was completely unacceptable.

I checked in on Wednesday September 24. Upon check-in Timothy greeted me (greeted might be the wrong word as he never looked at me, never smiled and never made me feel welcome). After our initial interaction I told him I was part of the tennis staff. He asked for my credit card and said I would be charged $300. I explained that the tennis organization covers all the cost and he told me there was nothing that noted that. I then pulled myself out of line to confirm with the team if they made the appropriate arrangements as they had done for all other tournaments. They said yes and said they were 10-15 minutes away and they would come address the issue. As they arrive Emre showed up and checked me in. He apologized and life was good. Emre is the best. I wish you could clone him. The next day my shower was plugged. I called and maintenance took care of it. However the next morning I realized that when they snaked the shower, there was residual from the snake job. The maintenance man was great. Friendly and helpful. I showered in the morning avoiding the residual in the shower. At 6:45 a.m. I went to the desk on my way out and I informed Timothy about the issue. He wrote it in a book. I told him I needed the shower cleaned. I returned about 7 pm. The next morning, still residual in the shower. I showered around it again. At 6:30 am I went to desk and explained the issue again and he said he would take care of it. I returned around 7:30 pm, still residual. I called the desk and asked for a manager. I got Emre. I explained what had not been done and he immediately sent housekeeping to my room. He even came to my room to inspect the issue. Every time I spoke with Emre, he made me feel like a valued customer. He went above and beyond to ensure my needs were being met. He changed my view of Sonesta. He owned the issues apologized and got it done. He was always friendly, smiling and working hard to ensure my issue was addressed. I give him a 5 out 5. Outstanding employee. You need more like him.

Yelp
Great hotel! Conveniently located, clean, free parking and quiet! Nothing fancy but they do have a bar and restaurant as well that was your typical medium place. Bar food ect. I would stay there again.

Yelp
A little far from downtown and the airport but a decent hotel. There is a little cafe, pool, gym, and a shuttle along with other amenities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well maintained and not too outdated. It is next to a HEB, Whole Foods, abs the shopping common area so you can walk there.

Thomas Z.

Yelp
Poor customer service all around. The savings of the stay is not worth the headache. Booked the room using HotelTonight, and was billed in full by HotelTonight. Then, Sonesta Bee Cave again billed me for the full amount of the room, plus fees. I called Sonesta Bee Cave - their "accounting" extension has a full mailbox and never answers the phone. Called Sonesta reservations - they said this double charge is normal (???) and that it would be credited back within 7 days. 3 weeks later, no credit. Call Sonesta Bee Cave accounting again - mailbox still full, never answers. Called Sonesta reservations again, and the best their India call center could do was take my email address and forward it to the hotel directly - and the hotel will email "sometime don't know when". Terrible service - stick with a name brand hotel, not this silly imposter.

Yelp
First - the front staff of the hotel are great - this is no reflection on them. It's incredibly overpriced for what it is. Among things were cracked tiles, wallpaper/wallcovering in bathroom peeling up, not very clean - there was hair in the shower. Worn or scratched dressers. It doesn't seem maintained and for the price it should be *considerably* better. I will not stay again.

Yelp
I've stayed at this hotel several times while on business in Bee Cave. I think compared to the surrounding hotels this is one of the better options. The hotel front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating. While the rooms are nothing to write home about, they appear clean and well kept. The beds are comfortable in the shower is large. There is a restaurant and bar lounge on the top floor that overlooks the green space across the street. It's actually a really nice view. Getting service is a different story though, it definitely is a bit slow. Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side for what is offered. There are several restaurants in the area that you can try for breakfast instead. Parking is conveniently located under the hotel. It's fairly self-explanatory once you drive up.

Yelp
Lovely gem quietly on corner of Galleria Shopping village. Pet friendly, spacious rooms, & a lovely pool to relax & enjoy the dry heat

Yelp
I've stayed at the Marriott and La Quinta (Wyndham) in Bee Cave/Lakeway. This trip, I decided to try the Sonesta. I'm glad that I did. The room was very nice. While all three facilities have nice rooms, I would put the Sonesta at the top of the list. It was the small touches that they included at the Sonesta that caught my eye -- things like the lovely tile and touches in the shower. Definitely nicer than what you find at your standard Marriott or Wyndham. The front desk staff were very kind and efficient. A standout was Nick, who noticed that I had spilled some of my coffee one morning as I juggled multiple things in my hand. He yelled out for me not to worry about it, and before I knew it, he was in front of me with a towel cleaning the floor. Very nice fellow. The Lake Travis area is fortunate to have three good hotel choices. The Sonesta Bee Cave is a nice option, and it has a new fan.

Yelp
I love the aesthetic of the hotel, it's got a really cool honey bee theme. The pool and patio are really nice, for kids and adults. Granted, I got my room cheap via a third party, but if Sonesta just improved a few things, this could be a great hotel experience. There is a restaurant on the top floor, no room service; you have to walk up there and order to go, wait, and return. Additionally, no continental breakfast, a self poured coffee was $3.50. Charge more for the room, and round out the amenities.

Yelp
I had a wonderful time staying here. It's a boutique hotel. Check in was easy and the rooms were clean. Pretty standard size. It's very new because they just built it. I didn't eat at the restaurant. But I will say that it is kinda away from everything. So if you are looking to be in the action. This is probably not where you want to stay. But if you are like me. Who enjoy quietness. Then yes. Also. The parking is in the under garage. It gets kinda dark at night. Just FYI. But pretty safe from what I experienced. Everyone was friendly and I didn't have any issues. I stayed 2 nights. :)

Yelp
Stay here! Top notch staff and a lovely facility. We went one night for a mini get away. We sat poolside from check in until sunset. You need to bring your own drinks and snacks (of course no glass) bk there's no poolside food/beverage service. We were happy to bring our own coolers, save some money, and enjoy what we prefer. The pool is a decent side and was not very crowded. We took advantage of the shuttle to transport us to and from dinner. Check out the next day was a breeze. We were allowed use to the pool and fitness center after checking out of our room. We were so happy to stay here instead of fighting for a pool space at a crowded hotel in downtown Austin. If you're good with low key, clean, comfortable, this is your hotel!

Yelp
3.25 stars. This is pretty hard to rate because there is quite a bit of good and some not as good. I think end of day it comes down to whether I think the property fits the price and I think it is just a bit short in that regard. Let's start with the positive. The hotel is pet-friendly (not necessarily all of the guests, but the hotel itself is very cool about bringing your pets), it has a pretty solid pool, it provides a nice panoramic view of the Hill Country, it is in very close proximity to a couple of unique places to dine and drink, and there is a nearby HEB and Total Wine in case you need to pick up a few items during your stay. Add in that the hotel staff is wonderful and you got yourself a winner. On the other hand, the room seems awfully dated given the price. It reminded me of a hotel room from the 90s. The space is pretty cramped. The much lauded walk-in shower was alright but nothing spectacular. The upstairs bar had uneven service; one day was great and the other day it was pretty much awful. The parking garage is a really tight squeeze for larger vehicles. Would I consider coming back here if I was going back to the Lake? Probably though I might for a few options a bit closer to the Lake. It's a good hotel and even better if you decide to bring your pets.

Yelp
This is a good hotel in a good location. Slightly removed from the busier areas of Austin, the location is near perfect. Located near shopping and dining makes the spot great. The hotel itself is clean with a fresh design look. The staff is friendly and informative, very helpful for visitors. My king room is clean and comfortable. Large tv and decent view from the 2nd floor. Underground parking is convenient and the elevator goes up to the lobby and the rooms. The 6th floor has a restaurant/bar. I ate dinner the night I arrived. Food was good, not great. But the convenience was a nice benefit.

Yelp
Nice hotel right by the Galleria. Convenient underground parking that needs a few more spaces on the weekends. Great rooftop bar.

Yelp
Big disappointment! For $250.00+\ nite one would expect a really nicely decorated room with furniture that is not all scratched up. The shower and the bed were great. When we checked in they gave us a $20 voucher for breakfast and I'm thinking, must be a really pricey breakfast menu if they feel they need to comp me. Wrong! There's no restaurant at all. Instead, they just have a grab and go cart in the lobby with pre packaged crap. Interestingly, I googled nearby breakfast places and the number one hit to come back was the Meridian 98 which is their closed down by Covid restaurant on the top floor. I don't think I will ever be back and nobody at the front desk could care less.

Yelp
View is good, food is expensive, having saying that the food is tasty! Wished they had a better happy hour, I think that would attract more people as it's very empty!

Yelp
Great place to stay. Next to major shopping and activities within walking distance. Rooms are all nice and current. Love the cheese dip from the restaurant upstairs.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here during our wedding weekend. Despite arriving slightly before check-in time, we were allowed to check in early. We had a trailer full of wedding day drinks and other items that they let us store in a closet until needed. They also helped us park the trailer in the garage. When we arrived to our suite, the hotel sent up a wedding package with two bee-shaped cookies, honey, and an Austin-based honey cider. It was a nice and appreciated touch. When we got back from our wedding, someone on staff congratulated us. In addition, they allowed me to add some extra people to our wedding block for people who accidentally booked outside the block. The room was clean, modern, and had a nice bathroom and shower. The bed was comfy and the room was well air-conditioned. The pool area was laid out well and it was nice to catch up with old friends there and also swim. The only knock on the hotel is that breakfast is limited, likely due to Covid restrictions, but you are in a vast shopping area with many restaurants and shops. My wife and I will definitely be staying here again some day!

Yelp
Planned a last minute Anniversary trip to Austin and we stayed at the Sonesta. The modern aesthetic with a Texas twist was nice and welcoming. The staff was more than accommodating to make our trip extra special! The bed was super comfortable and everything was clean! The remote was sealed and covered as well as the door had a seal on it to notify patrons of cleanliness/disinfectant! Staff and patrons were all cooperative with the sanitation and mask requirements!
google avatar

Yelp
Reservation was misplaced and broken into two separate days for some reason instead our two-night contiguous stay. All EV chargers were broken after two staff members proudly informed me they were functioning. Breakfast was a joke presided over by a sour woman who only said "Where's your coupon?" when we walked up. Wedding in hotel while we were staying and guests were screaming and running up and down the halls until 4am. I attempted to call down to the desk several times to no answer. I was staying with my wife and two small children. Never again.

Yelp
We love the Sonesta Bee Cave! I can not say enough good things about this hotel. It is so clean and so nice! The staff was just above and beyond. We literally did not want to leave. The bar upstairs has the best drinks. Brian, our Bartender, was awesome! He gave us some great tips about Austin. Sonesta Bee Cave is in a great location, out in hill country, right by a shopping center, right off the highway, only 20 minutes outside of Austin. We will be back again! Thank you Sonesta & Staff for making our stay so memorable and comfortable!

Yelp
I didn't realize how great this place was until I stayed somewhere else a couple of weeks later. The corner king room is spacious and very, very clean. I loved the chaise longue and the double sinks. That particular room was quiet enough that I slept the whole night, a first for me at a hotel. I'll be back. The restaurant was expensive but really good for dinner. It was not so great for breakfast. The potatoes were so cold that I didn't think it was a good idea to eat them, so I had to get breakfast somewhere else later. A waste of money, unfortunately. If not for that, the visit would have been perfect.
google avatar

Yelp
Let me start by saying, because of the nice area this hotel is in, I had high expectations. The hotel itself is nothing special. The rooms are clean but no bells and whistles. For a newer property, the furniture in the Meridian restaurant seemed worn. The floors and upholstery needs to be redone. Tables and chairs were haphazardly placed. A make over is needed especially for the price. We've stayed in many hotels across the country and were more pleased with lesser recognized places. Would not recommend.
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
I stayed here for three nights. The hotel seems pretty new and it is nice. The rooms were good size and very comfortable. Strongly suggest if you need to be in this area of Austin this is a clean easy place to stay. The rooftop bar is pretty cool as well. I did have breakfast there, a buffet, and it was not very good. Felt like the food was two days old and they just warm it up for the next Day. They do serve cold beer and the view is pretty good from up there. I booked my room through priceline and learned upon check-in that I get no points because I booked with a discount website. I wish I could've gotten points but I paid $50 less a night so I'll take the money

Yelp
Stayed here two nights and I was very impressed with this hotel, especially for the price I paid. I booked with HotelTonight, and got a king room for $300 including taxes and fees for both nights. My sister paid a similar price for a dated room at an old Hampton Inn a few miles away. The hotel feels new and is decorated beautifully. It has the vibe of a luxe hotel. Check in was easy, and we were given two vouchers for free appetizers with purchase at their restaurant since it was our first stay with them. Parking is free and in a garage. Although we didn't have the chance to use the pool, it looked nice as well. Breakfast is not included, but they do have in room dining options as well as breakfast at their rooftop restaurant. The location of this hotel is awesome. Its right outside a huge shopping center called The Galleria, which contains many shops and restaurants. The hotel offers a free shuttle within a 5 mile radius. After getting my hair done at the galleria, I called the hotel for the shuttle, and it arrived to pick me up in less than 5 minutes. The driver was nice enough to take me to Chick-fil-A so I could pick up some food before dropping me back off at the hotel. The only critique I have, albeit small, is for housekeeping. They didn't take out the trash in our room or refresh our toilet paper during our stay. Overall, this is a really nice option in Bee Cave and I will definitely stay here again. I will also consider staying in a Sonesta when traveling to different cities. Thanks for a great stay!

Yelp
This is a hotel located at the corner of Hill County Galleria. After staying at the hotel for a few days, I noticed several conferences and business meetings taking place. One pro was the fitness room very clean and the weight room was a mix of items light to heavy weights with execise balls and workout machines. Also on the property is a 2.3 mile walking trail another pro. The service is exceptional the front desk are helpful and friendly. One incident was I have a pillowcase for people with allergies and has a special coating looks like an ordinary pillowcase for my allergies. Well the maid accidently took it by accident so, off I go all over Westlake and several stores hunting for a replacement, but unsuccessful finding another. The manager on duty came through and they searched for pillowcase and found it, I was impressed with such an effort to help find a lost pillowcase with my bad allergies. I thought nice gesture. This is a really nice hotel not very expensive. Lovely grounds and you can actually walk to the Galleria and find resturants, wine bars, stores and ice cream parlors. I love it, seriously it is such a unique place to relax and enjoy the pool area. A pet friendly hotel free parking and very safe area. Rates are reasonable and all have refrigerators. I am planning to return for a great relaxing time.Happy Hotel hunting!

Yelp
Totally impressed with the Sonesta. Have always stayed at Marriott's & Ritz properties. Love the text messaging for any requests & very nice welcome. This location is the best. So many restaurants & shopping at the Hill Country Galleria. Everything is here, Pho House, Mandela's for Italian, Whole Foods, All Star Burgers, Chili's, Panera, Saltgrass Steakhouse, Maudies Tex Mex & more. Many deliver if you do not want to leave. We used the shuttle to pick up a killer pizza & beer from Whole Foods. Shout out to Tyler, the front desk clerk is awesome. He knows everything. They are 100% with the Covid cleanliness standards. Hand sanitizer everywhere. Next to elevators, lobby, outside restrooms, wipes in your room & covered remotes for the TV. Our room was spotless. The beds are divine. Best sleep ever. Loved the huge walk in shower & nice view of their gorgeous infinity pool. The pool even has a cooling system. It was 106 during our stay & the pool was very refreshing. Clean fluffy towels & sanitizing wipes for your pool loungers. Loved the Keurig coffee makers. Nice to have a mini fridge to keep beer, water & snacks. Requested a microwave & it was so nice because I had a 2 year old who loves her Mac & cheese. The Meridian 98 was closed on Sunday-Monday, only open on Friday & Saturday, but they have a very nice kiosk in the morning with breakfast sandwiches, pastries & fresh fruit which is open until 10 am. I live nearby & this property is extremely nice. Would not be caught staying downtown because the nice restaurants are closed & vagrants lying on sidewalks & begging for money. This is a great location. Hamilton Pool a short drive & many other places to go here in the Hill Country. Enjoy!

Yelp
First time here and there was a party in a hotel room with several college kids going from midnight till two in the morning. I had to call down to the front desk three times. Terrible experience with no rest. Great job at security during Covid
google avatar

Shawna M.

Yelp
The website is very deceiving. It shows pictures of fabulous food being prepared by a chef, fancy desserts on a beautiful display and that is not available here. No bottled water available in the rooms, no restaurant, the sundries area had very few options, no jacuzzi and when we asked for room service, guess what? None available. Instead the front desk told us to order door dash. Won't stay here again.

Yelp
In the early days of Yelpdom, we used to attend the Yelp Elite Events. There was actually an event held at the Sonesta when they first opened. It was a lovely evening on the top floor with a great few of the sunset, drinks and heavy appetizers. After that my firm had a conference at the Sonesta. Both of these experiences were fine. Currently to add to total chaos of 2020, we are in the middle of a remodel of our home and needed to stay out for one night as the fumes from the fitting the shower floor was going to be a little much. So I booked a night at Sonesta. There are couple of items which I did not remember. I think this is probably due to Covid right now, but they don't really offer much in the way of food options. I thought they had a restaurant, but I think the Meridan 98 is now just offering a dozen or so appy's, not really a place for dinner. Oh well. The Meridan is located on the top floor and is nice enough for HH Cocktails and lite bites. The patio area outside does provide nice views of the Hill Country while sipping away on a beverage or two. Our room was fresh, clean and well appointed. TV was a bit tricky due to channels or finding what was on. Not a big deal for us, we were only staying the one night. The bathroom was huge and modern. All the staff we made contact with were friendly enough and very efficient check in and out. One note of caution. The underground parking is extremely tight. I drive a smallish SUV which worked, however if you had a suburban or something around that size, I have no idea how you would actually get into majority of parking places, let alone get into the garage to begin with. We would stay again and hopefully visit for fun when Meridan 98 is back up with a full menu.

Yelp
So...the main draw to this hotel is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. It is conveniently located in a very nice shopping center. The rooms are somewhat on par with a Courtyard Marriott. However, as noted in previous reviews: no complimentary breakfast (however, they offer complimentary coffee downstairs), the fitness center is paltry and not well-kempt (e.g. the yoga mats were DISGUSTING, the floor was really dirty.

Yelp
I had the chance to stay at the newly built Sonesta for two nights, work related. The meeting rooms were spacious, the catered food was good and everything here is sparkling new. The staff at the front desk were friendly and pleasant. The location, as other reviewers have mentioned is far off into Bee Caves. However, it is in an area where there are plenty of food options, shopping etc by the nearby Galleria. It's not really a "staycation" type of hotel, but it's good for business and for people who live in beecaves to accommodate friends & family. I stayed in the Deluxe King room and found it very clean & spacious. The bathrooms were a good size & even had showergel/shampoo/conditioner dispensers! Overall, the stay was good. Will be coming back for a staff party to try out the food at the restaurant on the rooftop.

Yelp
Brand new hotel in the BeeCaves area. Got a great deal on Hotwire and decided to try it out! This place is the definition of minimalistic! Very nice and modern but it gave you a feeling of simplicity. Which is not a bad thing. Set right next to the Hill Country Galleria it's so convenient if you love shopping and restaurants! Staff is nice. The restaurant on 6 (Meridien 98) provides nice views but the menu prices are high. Decided to go elsewhere to eat. The rooms minimalistic. Beds are comfortable. The shower is the best thing. Don't worry about soap, shampoo or conditioner. It's all there in dispensers. That was nice! They have a shuttle to ferry you back and forth to the galleria. Didn't try it but they run every 15 minutes according to staff. Underground parking which is great! Keeps your car cool! Overall. A great deal on Hotwire if you get it. I think they are offering this just to get people to spread the word. But a great deal! The pool was not open but provides nice views. I think will open in August. They may not have the deal after that. Lol! The elevators are scary though. Makes a weird dinging sound when changing floors. Sounds cheap and they creak. Maybe because they are new. Anyways for what we got it for was a great value! Plus everything smells new! Like that new car smell! Lol!

Yelp
It really is unfortunate that I have to give this place two stars. From the outside the property is quite pretty. The lobby is also clean and the staff was helpful. Unfortunately some of the hotel aspects were about as bad as they get. For example, the elevators were the SLOWEST ELEVATORS I have ever encountered in my life. I was on the 3rd floor and it would take me about 5 minutes to get to the lobby. It really shocked me that such a gorgeous looking property would skimp on the elevators. Also, the air conditioner in my room was shockingly loud. It was so loud that it would wake me up during the night and it wouldn't even keep the room cool. On the positive side, the mattress was comfortable and the shower was great. Overall however I was unimpressed with the hotel. Won't be staying here again.

Yelp
Phill the trolley driver was very friendly he gave me an interesting tour of the bee cave area. The staff is very friendly including the front desk staff. The layout is very good. I love the trolley and the bar. The hotel is always very clean. The beds are very comfortable. This is a great location.

Yelp
Cleanliness is a 5 star but they do not have free food like embassy suites which is grandpa's favorite. He felt the bathtub was hard to get out of but he is old. The garage underneath has some sections with low hanging objects.

Yelp
This is my go to hotel when visiting my corporate office. It is located in a great area and close to everything. Rooms and hotel are always clean. The staff is always kind. They have a shuttle and will drop or pick up within 5 mile radius. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Was in town for a wedding. The rooms are too pricey. The shuttle to the Venue was a mess. So unorganized. I was charged for 3 breakfast orders that were not ours. They did promptly take them off. But it still was a hassle. For the price of the hotel it should have been better organized.

Yelp
My husband and I stay here every time we come to Bee Caves to see concerts at a small venue close by. It is a real happy place for me. The hotel is only a couple of years old, the design is clean and modern, rooms are clean, and beds are VERY comfortable. The room darkening curtains are great. Our favorite thing to do is go up to the top floor patio bar/restaurant and have drinks and food before heading out. The sunset view is really beautiful...did I mention the nice scenery? There is a green area that will not be developed and makes for a great scenic backdrop. The visit last night was no exception...everything was as expected except we left a custom shirt in the closet. After getting home today we realized the mistake and called to see if it had been found. Scott answered and said he would go look in the room himself. He called back within a few minutes to say he found it and offered to ship it to us. All I can say is I have rarely gotten service this efficiently even at higher price point hotels! Scott, you did great! The only complaints we have mirror some of the others...slow elevators, louder air conditioners than normal (but not a deal breaker), and no tubs. The parking garage under the hotel has an unusually low ceiling height so beware if you drive a taller truck or vehicle. I will say that this time around the food quality in the evening was not to the level it previously was...hopefully that will be fixed by the next time we visit in February. More healthy options are needed. Overall we like staying here and look forward to our next visit!

Yelp
Wow. Really beautiful hotel. Amazing room. My partner was in the pool every morning and had nothing but glowing reviews about how amazing it was. Really clean, nice staff. The grounds are really beautiful and the view from the 6th floor breakfast buffet balcony seating was gorgeous. Really happy with our stay. Also, doesn't hurt that there is a beautiful Whole Foods within walking distance.

Yelp
I just checked in about an hour ago, and already I am 100% satisfied. The hotel is beautiful and kept clean. Decor throughout the hotel is very welcoming and cozy, but sophisticated as well. I had an absolutely horrible day today where literally everything that could go wrong did go wrong. To try to make the best of a morning fiasco, I drove to Galveston to hit up the beach, just to be welcomed by a huge storm that became stationary and wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. I parked, took a brief nap in my backseat hoping to see a weather update that would make it worth it to stay for the sunset at least, but when I woke up, that wasn't the case, and I woke up to other problems as well. I felt so defeated. I wanted to just go home, but that was an 8 hr drive away at that point, so off to the hotel. I drove for nearly 4 hours back north and got to the hotel. I like that they have an underground parking garage. Keeps the property looking nicer. I went to the desk and was greeted by Ryan and Erin. They asked me how my day was and I told them. Horrible and I just wanted to go to sleep. I asked for a room facing the sunrise and they were able to accommodate. Then because of my horrible day, they offered me a pick-me-up which I won't disclose because I don't want others to feel entitled and try to take advantage. But their act of kindness made ALL the difference. Instead of going to bed disappointed and frustrated, I will be going to bed a little more relaxed and grateful for random acts of kindness. A little thing goes a long way. So a huge thank you to Ryan and Erin for closing out my night on a positive note. On to the hotel- it's gorgeous. I LOVE the bathroom. Bright and clean, stand up shower- not a bath/shower combo which tends to gross me out. Towels were a bit rough, but that could just be because plenty of people have skin allergies to fabric softener and such. Linens on the beds were comfortable. Not stiff or stale. I was also able to go to the lounge, get a drink and bring it to the pool. I took a dip under the night sky with a drink to help me unwind just a little more. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel, and will certainly be staying here EVERY TIME I am in the area (several times per summer) Now it's time to go to dream land.

Yelp
I had the privilege of staying two nights. I've never stayed anywhere as awesome as this! The check in desk staff were so very friendly. There are people to help you with the elevator if need be. My room was gorgeous! The pillow top bed is the most comfortable one ever. The entire hotel is beautiful and I highly recommend staying there!

Yelp
Not very impressed with this hotel. We were there for a wedding that took place in the beautiful hills nearby. The photos of this hotel on the web site make it appear that it also is nestled in these beautiful hills. That could not be further from the truth. It is nestled in a sea of concrete and other buildings. Upon our arrival (at 3:30PM) we were greeted with a large sign blocking the entrance to the parking garage reading "Parking lot Full" with no instructions as to where we should park. The closest option was quite a ways away from the hotel. We decided to "chance it" and try the parking garage despite the warning sign. As it turns out there were MANY parking spots. Thank goodness we didn't pay attention to the sign! The hotel is very nice on the inside. The room was also nice. The showers offer no place for a towel at all, which was a minor inconvenience. The walls appear to be thin (as they are in most hotels) because at 1AM we heard a ton of noise from our neighbors. The biggest annoyance to us happened in the morning. Check out was at 11AM. We were showering and packing at 10:25, when we heard a loud knock at our door. We didn't answer. At 10:30 we received another knock. My husband looked through the peep hole and saw the housekeeping crew. He ignored as he was in a towel, and thought SURELY they wouldn't be bothering us again since check out is 11:00AM. He was wrong. At 10:40, another loud knock came our way. Pretty ridiculous. The cleaning crew should absolutely know which rooms are checking out for the day, and which rooms are still occupied. We have both worked in the hotel industry and we know that check out day does not mean housekeeping begins to randomly bang on doors until the room is clear. The price of this hotel is incredibly high for what one receives. It appears to be "the only game in town" for people attending weddings in the Dripping Springs area. The next night we drove to San Antonio where we stayed at a gorgeous Embassy Suites hotel on the waterfront. The price was less than the Sonesta, and all guests were given a two hour cocktail reception with food, as well as a full breakfast. Sonesta could learn a thing our two from the Hilton brand.

Yelp
Love this Sonesta! I left my brand new pj's when I checked out! They had bagged them and saved them for me! Very quiet and private!

Yelp
Very nice venue. We attended a Lake Travis Chamber luncheon at Sonesta last month. The food was great and super service. I was very impressed because we were a big group.

Yelp
Drove into Austin Friday night and met my sister and brother in law at the Meridian roof top bar. Pretty people everywhere to match the fantastic views of the rolling hills of Bee Cave the rooftop offers. As others have pointed out, service could have been better, but it would not have elicited a review. I ordered the beef sliders and they made me sick later that night, and being over 6 feet tall and 230 lbs, my stomach can usually weather a storm. Something was wrong with the beef. I tried calling management to advise that the beef from the previous night might be on the verge of turning, but I never heard back from them.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong the restaurant part looks amazing but the room experience that I had wasn't very pleasing. Not a place to stay on vacation. It's more of a business trip stay. We called for room service and they told us to go get the stuff ourselves. I called the front desk and ask them if we can place an order for food to be taken up to her room. They said you can place an order but you'll have to go pick it up in the restaurant yourself. I was okay with that then I asked them where's the menu located in the room. They said there are no menus in the room. I said can I have some menus taken up to her room. They said you'll have to go get them yourself in the restaurant. The room we got was dirty long black hair in the shower. The whole bathroom experience felt like I was taking a shower at the gym. Plus everybody has been telling everybody about the pool being located on top of the roof which it was not. Who is located down on the bottom of the first floor like a motel inn. Not worth the money

Yelp
I'm revisiting my previous review. This place isn't really kept up that well. The rooms are basically like a Ramada and although it is close to the mall there are so many empty spaces on that end.
