"Fans of bak kut teh can wear their love for the peppery pork rib soup on their sleeves. The Bib Gourmand-recognised Song Fa Bak Kut Teh restaurant has commissioned home-grown design studio Wheniwasfour to create a hip and retro merchandise line to commemorate the opening of its 10th local outlet in Jewel Changi Airport as it celebrates its 50th anniversary this year." - Kenneth Goh

Had a lovely dinner here, the staff are very attentive and considerate. The food is great. The ribs are juicy and fresh, so make sure you order it, and also the Mee sua (smooth noodles). Highly recommended.

Song Fa is located at the airport. Luckily we were able to enjoy breakfast here as they open at 9 am. They mainly offer soup, noodles, rice and vegetables at breakfast but there are more choices for lunch and dinner. If you like their pork based soup broth, they sell the soup packages for home use. They sell them in boxes of 10. We love it so much that we bought 4 boxes! Great for last minute meals - instant noodles with a tasty soup base. Just add your own veggies and meat. Everything’s tasty!

Song Fa Bak Kut Teh offers tasty bak kut teh with a flavorful peppery broth, but it’s a bit pricey for what you get, and the dish can feel heavy. Expect long queues, especially during peak hours, which can be frustrating. Still, a decent spot to try, just plan ahead

Love the peppery broth. Meat is tender and soup is refillable and they are not stingy with the amount. Will be back again. Reason for having in jewel as they are open at 9am when we were there

Food is excellent. Before we get seated I asked if there is a minimum order for credit card charge. The very nice lady who managed the line said no. She is very sweet and polite. After we get seated and placed our order. The supervisor came and rudely told us that what we ordered was not sufficient. She was loud and unfriendly. I do understand you need a minimum order to get seats in a cafe. I wished the supervisor communicated on a softer tone instead of embarrassing us in public. Nevertheless, we are very thankful to the nice lady who continued to try to make us comfortable while we were having our meals.

Song Fa Bak Kut Teh is a well-known name in Singapore, offering a peppery soup base that’s quite different from the herbal style of Malaysian Bak Kut Teh. In Malaysia, this type of soup is typically called Pig Stomach Soup. This outlet is located at Jewel, and I’m not sure if the prices here are the same as other locations outside the airport. To avoid long queues, it’s best to arrive before the lunch rush. As a Malaysian, I didn’t find anything particularly special about the dish—back home, you can easily find more flavorful, tastier, and cheaper Bak Kut Teh. That said, if you’re a tourist, it’s worth giving it a try to experience the Singaporean take on this dish. The service was good, with staff regularly walking around to offer free soup top-ups. The first wet tissue is complimentary, but you’ll be charged for additional ones. The portion sizes are quite small, even when ordering the large, so it’s just enough for a light lunch. Overall, it’s a decent stop for tourists, but not particularly impressive if you’re used to the Malaysian version of Bak Kut Teh.

Came by for dinner after we touched down and had a hearty meal! 👍🏻 Ordered our usuals, and put down 3 bowls of soup between us as it was really comforting (despite the hot weather). The claypot pork tenderloin has become a must order for me in recent visits after I tried it once, for how good it was - the ginger and sauce that comes with the dish is awesome! Service was great too, and albeit the long queue, we got ushered in rather quickly thanks to the prompt service. Do be prepared to share tables though, especially those dining in pairs.

We decided to have dinner at the airport before going to our hotel. Our first choice is the most famous Song Fa Bak Kut Teh in the Jewel. We were there at 9:15 pm. The last order can be placed at 9:30 pm, and the restaurant closes at 10 pm. So the lady took our order before we even had the table. It works out well. We had our food ready as soon as we got a table. We tried the most famous Bak Kut Teh plus a few more dishes. I love it, especially after a 17-1/2 hour flight. I want something simple and delicious. This is perfect for me.

Yelp
YUM. THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD. I liked it so much I bought the soup packets and am very excited to make it at home. I love how you can get unlimited soup and it goes so well with the rice. This will hit so hard in the winter. The shrimp roll was so good, and so was the little side dishes. The meat is so tender it just falls off the bone. I came here twice during my trip to Singapore and will add this on the must go list when I visit again.

Yelp
Hot, delicious and wonderful pork rib soup. Food came out fast and staff were helpful. Ambiance is casual and cozy. Expect to share table as they are extremely busy. Highly recommended!

Yelp
One of my favourite meals in Singapore. Herbal tea is perfect for a pre or post flight meal. The meat was tender and fall off the bone. Service was fast as they were quick to top up the tea based soup and keep the pork ribs hot and fresh. The vibes can't be beat especially if you make your way down to the B2 level from the Jewels iconic waterfall.

Yelp
Great last meal in Singapore! This was at the Jewel mall area by the food court. There was a long line but it goes fast. Once you are seated, you can scan the QR code for the menu. Food was great! Loved the Bak Kut Teh. They will do refills on the soup, which is great to drink, even without rice. You can also buy the bak kut teh soup packets to make at home if you want. Staff was super kind and credit card is accepted

Yelp
Excellent! They even refill your pork ribs soup as much as you want. Love the white pepper garlic broth. Also got to try the dou mou which is a veggie I never had. They cooked it well with fried shallots and lard and their special sauce. I also enjoyed the drink.

Yelp
I've come to know of this dish through a food vlogger on YT. It was one of his favorite dishes so I thought it was worth giving it a try. Bak Ku Teh (Pork rib soup) is one of the signature dishes of Singapore. You'll find that breakfast is somewhat of a liberal concept here- - it goes beyond just pancakes and eggs. If it's served in the morning, there's no reason it can't be breakfast. No one will look twice as you're devouring a hearty bowl of pork ribs for your morning nourishment. PORK RIB SOUP The soup was peppery, garlicky and served piping hot. The pork ribs were fall off the bone-tender. A side of Youtiao (Chinese Donut) is great for dipping into the broth after you've finished the ribs. While the soup had a good kick it was unfortunately, just ok. SPICY PORK BELLY Braised pork belly served in a clay pot was tender however, a bit dry and too sweet. I found the chili infused soy sauce helped balanced out the sweetness but didn't do much for the dish overall. If I'm being honest, this is a pass for me. While this particular meal wasn't anywhere near my favorite, the soup would be best eaten when it's cold out.

Yelp
My mom and I love Song Fa, which is why we went twice within a week to their location in the Jewel. Simple and hearty food. What is there not to like? Love the free refills of soup. On my last visit, I was a bit tired of meat (been eating A LOT of local hawker food in the last two weeks), so we ended up sharing a bowl of BKT and ordering a bunch of sides: ngoh hiang (yes, more meat), dou maio, salted veggies, peanuts. All delish and it was plenty. They didn't have a problem with having us share one bowl of BKT either. No wait both times we visited, but maybe that's because these were on weekdays. Or is the Jewel always this empty? Not that I'm complaining!
