"Fans of bak kut teh can wear their love for the peppery pork rib soup on their sleeves. The Bib Gourmand-recognised Song Fa Bak Kut Teh restaurant has commissioned home-grown design studio Wheniwasfour to create a hip and retro merchandise line to commemorate the opening of its 10th local outlet in Jewel Changi Airport as it celebrates its 50th anniversary this year." - Kenneth Goh

Song Fa is located at the airport. Luckily we were able to enjoy breakfast here as they open at 9 am. They mainly offer soup, noodles, rice and vegetables at breakfast but there are more choices for lunch and dinner. If you like their pork based soup broth, they sell the soup packages for home use. They sell them in boxes of 10. We love it so much that we bought 4 boxes! Great for last minute meals - instant noodles with a tasty soup base. Just add your own veggies and meat. Everything’s tasty!

Song Fa Bak Kut Teh is a well-known name in Singapore, offering a peppery soup base that’s quite different from the herbal style of Malaysian Bak Kut Teh. In Malaysia, this type of soup is typically called Pig Stomach Soup. This outlet is located at Jewel, and I’m not sure if the prices here are the same as other locations outside the airport. To avoid long queues, it’s best to arrive before the lunch rush. As a Malaysian, I didn’t find anything particularly special about the dish—back home, you can easily find more flavorful, tastier, and cheaper Bak Kut Teh. That said, if you’re a tourist, it’s worth giving it a try to experience the Singaporean take on this dish. The service was good, with staff regularly walking around to offer free soup top-ups. The first wet tissue is complimentary, but you’ll be charged for additional ones. The portion sizes are quite small, even when ordering the large, so it’s just enough for a light lunch. Overall, it’s a decent stop for tourists, but not particularly impressive if you’re used to the Malaysian version of Bak Kut Teh.

Song Fa BKT always hits the spot when it comes to comfort food. Their classic spare rib BKT and endless soup goes well with rice and their side dishes. Obviously I'll return whenever I'm in Singapore. At Changi, the food was just as good as their older stores in Chinatown.

Song Fa Bak Kut Teh at Jewel Changi - I ordered the pork rib soup, and the meat was tender while the soup was flavorful and delicious. The braised peanuts and braised pork leg were soft and juicy, making for a hearty meal. The staff were friendly and quick to top up the soup, enhancing the dining experience. Highly recommend!

I'm not a fan of Bak Kut Yeh but after eating here, my mind was changed. The meat was very tender and the broth was seasoned perfectly. But be prepared to que specially during lunch time.

Long queues as this outlet is very popular. Ordered the fish soup - tastes fresh and the peppery soup was great. 3 stars for the food as the fish came in very small pieces. Felt like I was given the remnants and remainder. Service was spot on, they topped the soup regularly and the food came quite fast.

This is my favorite restaurant when I came to Singapore this time. The restaurant is right across from the waterfall, you have to wait in line for a long time but the experience is worth it, the arrangement is very logical. Of course the best dish is still bah kut teh, the ribs are very tender and the soup is naturally sweet, the waiter will continuously pour you more. I ate 4 dishes for 44SGD, it was worth it

Came by for dinner after we touched down and had a hearty meal! 👍🏻 Ordered our usuals, and put down 3 bowls of soup between us as it was really comforting (despite the hot weather). The claypot pork tenderloin has become a must order for me in recent visits after I tried it once, for how good it was - the ginger and sauce that comes with the dish is awesome! Service was great too, and albeit the long queue, we got ushered in rather quickly thanks to the prompt service. Do be prepared to share tables though, especially those dining in pairs.
