Song Fa Bak Kut Teh (Jewel Changi Airport)

One of my favourite spots for bak kut teh has to be Song Fa. The mee sua was very smooth and tasty, and the broth was peppery yet soothing — especially comforting on a cold day. The fried dough stick is a must-order, perfect for dipping into the flavorful soup. The sides are equally tasty too, and the meat was tender and nicely cooked. Have to wait for a while as it was quite crowded, but the queue moves along very quickly. The staff were very attentive, even asking people to put their bags on another chair and covering our belongings to keep them safe. They also kept checking if we needed a refill of the soup, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d come back to for a hearty and satisfying bak kut teh experience. 😋😋😕

We dined at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh at Jewel Changi and ordered several dishes to share, with the Pork Ribs Soup as the main. The signature Bak Kut Teh soup is clear but packed with peppery flavor. Both the Pork Ribs Soup and the Pork Tenderloin Soup use the same soup base. It’s very satisfying for adults, but a bit too peppery for our child, who mostly skipped the soup and happily ate the braised pork belly with rice instead. The staff were attentive and refilled the soup frequently, which was a nice touch. They also asked if we wanted rice and provided it as a complimentary service, which we appreciated. The Braised Pork Belly was soft, rich, and slightly sweet, perfect with rice and very kid-friendly. The dough fritters were great dipped into the soup, and the cai xin added a simple, refreshing balance to the meal. Overall, very consistent quality for an airport location: ・Friendly and attentive service ・Free soup refills ・Kid-friendly if you’re mindful of the peppery soup A reliable spot for a taste of Singapore, especially before or after a flight.

Pork ribs were tender. Great! The braised large intestine was fatty and soft. The braised pork belly meat was tender and it's fat and skin would melt-in-your-mouth. The braised sauce was light and flavourful. Scrumptious! The braised pig trotters meat was tender and it's fat and skin were soft and almost melt-in-your-mouth kind. Nice. The xiao bai cai was fresh, crunchy, juicy, and refreshing. The oyster sauce was light and not overly salty. Nice. Good well cooked rice. Fresh cut chilli. The meal was a 5/5 😍

Song Fa Bak Kut Teh at Jewel is always my first craving in Singapore. We waited about an hour but the queue system was smooth and our food arrived the moment we were seated. The pork ribs were tender with a warm peppery broth. The homemade ngoh hiang was crisp with juicy filling and the pig’s trotter was rich and perfect with rice. The mee sua soaked up the broth nicely and the you tiao stayed crisp. Song Fa Bak Kut Teh (Jewel Changi Airport) 2nd visit to the outlet located at Jewel Airport. Do expect long queues, especially during the weekend. The wait time can be up to 1hrs. I also realise that many are tourists from China with some local customer. Song Fa Bak Kut Teh are tasty bak kut teh with a flavorful peppery broth, I remember we order mixed organ soup, braised pork and large intestine super soft and nice, we also order Mee sua instead of rice, it taste really well, order the fried dough sticks is a must to dip into the soup omg that is fantastic. Highly recommended. I lovely act that touched us, despite so busy, the lady at the cashier asked are we the members during the payment as we are not the members, she encouraged us to sign on for free and explained with us. This act make us wanted to come back again on her awesome experience given to us.

Tender, soft meat and super comforting peppery soup — loved it! The beancurd skin was a bit salty for my taste, but everything else was on point. The soup came hot and flavourful, just the way I like it. Staff were really attentive too. They went around topping up soup without us even asking, and they reminded diners to keep kids, babies and strollers away from the walking path for safety (which I really appreciate). They even helped us pack our leftovers. Cashier was friendly and patiently waited while I made payment. We came around 5pm on a Friday and got a table in under 5 minutes 👍🏻 Overall, great service + great food. Will definitely be back!

There is a queue most of the time (~30min) but it is definitely worth the wait ! The food is delicious and will come to you almost as soon as you sit (you will order while doing the line through a QR code). I would recommend to take a bahkuteh soup + one veggies (ex : Kailan) + dough fritters + rice + tea. This combo is always enjoyable for me and it is very balance in terms of flavor, texture and richness.

I highly appreciate the consistency that Song Fa maintains across all its outlets. This location at Jewel Changi is extremely convenient for locals looking to satisfy their Bak Kut Teh cravings, while also offering tourists a fantastic opportunity to experience what proper Bak Kut Teh tastes like. The queues can be a little long, but they move fast, and the service is very prompt. Make sure you take advantage of the unlimited free soup refills!

YUM. THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD. I liked it so much I bought the soup packets and am very excited to make it at home. I love how you can get unlimited soup and it goes so well with the rice. This will hit so hard in the winter. The shrimp roll was so good, and so was the little side dishes. The meat is so tender it just falls off the bone. I came here twice during my trip to Singapore and will add this on the must go list when I visit again.

Hot, delicious and wonderful pork rib soup. Food came out fast and staff were helpful. Ambiance is casual and cozy. Expect to share table as they are extremely busy. Highly recommended!

One of my favourite meals in Singapore. Herbal tea is perfect for a pre or post flight meal. The meat was tender and fall off the bone. Service was fast as they were quick to top up the tea based soup and keep the pork ribs hot and fresh. The vibes can't be beat especially if you make your way down to the B2 level from the Jewels iconic waterfall.

Great last meal in Singapore! This was at the Jewel mall area by the food court. There was a long line but it goes fast. Once you are seated, you can scan the QR code for the menu. Food was great! Loved the Bak Kut Teh. They will do refills on the soup, which is great to drink, even without rice. You can also buy the bak kut teh soup packets to make at home if you want. Staff was super kind and credit card is accepted

Excellent! They even refill your pork ribs soup as much as you want. Love the white pepper garlic broth. Also got to try the dou mou which is a veggie I never had. They cooked it well with fried shallots and lard and their special sauce. I also enjoyed the drink.

I've come to know of this dish through a food vlogger on YT. It was one of his favorite dishes so I thought it was worth giving it a try. Bak Ku Teh (Pork rib soup) is one of the signature dishes of Singapore. You'll find that breakfast is somewhat of a liberal concept here- - it goes beyond just pancakes and eggs. If it's served in the morning, there's no reason it can't be breakfast. No one will look twice as you're devouring a hearty bowl of pork ribs for your morning nourishment. PORK RIB SOUP The soup was peppery, garlicky and served piping hot. The pork ribs were fall off the bone-tender. A side of Youtiao (Chinese Donut) is great for dipping into the broth after you've finished the ribs. While the soup had a good kick it was unfortunately, just ok. SPICY PORK BELLY Braised pork belly served in a clay pot was tender however, a bit dry and too sweet. I found the chili infused soy sauce helped balanced out the sweetness but didn't do much for the dish overall. If I'm being honest, this is a pass for me. While this particular meal wasn't anywhere near my favorite, the soup would be best eaten when it's cold out.

My mom and I love Song Fa, which is why we went twice within a week to their location in the Jewel. Simple and hearty food. What is there not to like? Love the free refills of soup. On my last visit, I was a bit tired of meat (been eating A LOT of local hawker food in the last two weeks), so we ended up sharing a bowl of BKT and ordering a bunch of sides: ngoh hiang (yes, more meat), dou maio, salted veggies, peanuts. All delish and it was plenty. They didn't have a problem with having us share one bowl of BKT either. No wait both times we visited, but maybe that's because these were on weekdays. Or is the Jewel always this empty? Not that I'm complaining!
