"For Thai takeout and delivery around Park Slope, Song is there for you. It’s a go-to in the area for a solid plate of pad see ew or massaman curry, and roughly 90% of the dishes on the menu cost less than $15. Don’t overthink this. Go online or call 718-965-1108 for pickup or delivery." - Hannah Albertine, Bryan Kim

"Song is a Park Slope go-to for reliable Thai classics. The portions are pretty big, and everything on the menu is under $12. The big dining room here works for families, and the backyard is nice as well. Although you should know they also have a serious takeout operation." - Matt Tervooren

Google
One of my favorite Thai restaurants based on flavor. Not sure what they use but their food just has another umami hit. You can taste the char of the grill. Not just from the grilled chicken but also something as simple as fried rice can have a complex flavor with that high heat char. Also you can never go wrong with fried calamari. The atmosphere and ambience at night definitely has more date vibes than family vibes so grab a cocktail 🍹 Highly recommend this place 👍🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Google
The Thai was good! Overall was tasty. I recommend trying the Thai tea if you enjoy sweet and savory. The atmosphere of the restaurant inside felt higher quality dining but allows you to still dines causally. They can seat quite a few people here weather premiering due to the outdoor patio.

Google
Casual Thai restaurant that was very spacious (seemed quite child friendly too) and served generous portions. Service was fast and great. Food was enjoyable, but personally would have preferred a bit more heat. Would make a good week night takeout restaurant for a cozy meal on the couch.

Google
Always always fresh!!! Salads are rediculously good. We get the mango salad and it’s really to die for. My wife got me hooked. A lot of food for the price and always a great value since all the dishes are scrumptious

Google
This is one of those places great for takeout. I came here on Sat afternoon and it was nice, not much of a crowd. I ordered takeout. The food is plentiful and cheap. I could label it cheap eats. The panang curry is alot I ate it for four meals and it came with plain rice. I also ordered the fried rolls. Loved the food, looks like a spacious place with a big patio. Enjoyed the food.

Google
Song is my favorite Thai place in the area. The food is always fresh and tasty. The portions are impressive and the staff is knowledgeable about the different items on the menu. I typically order the basil or pineapple fried rice and never leave disappointed!

Google
Cute little restaurant serving some pretty good Thai food. Unfortunately the tap wasn't working so it cut our beer selection in half. The food was amazing and the prices were pretty good. The portions are great and I took plenty home. Our waitress was running around like a crazy woman but she was pretty friendly. This place can get pretty packed sometimes but the food is probably worth the wait.

Google
This is a nice and cozy spot. It gets a a good after-work crowd from the hospital and businesses nearby. There is outdoor seating for nicer weather but since it’s cold I was indoors. The ambiance is warm and inviting and the lighting is appropriate for the space. I was seated right away and my server was courteous and attentive as I waited for my acquaintance to join me. The menu selections seem typical for a Thai place with a few variations in the meal. I chose something familiar and it was pleasant, not too spicy although the vegetables weren’t very tender and a bit on the crunchy side. My acquaintance wasn’t able to join me so I ate my meal while quietly observing the vibe of the restaurant and customers streaming in. I would definitely go back as it seems like a nice quick place for meal gatherings.

Yelp
Song opens at 5pm on Saturday and it's great to go there when they open. You can have a peaceful dining experience without hearing others taking around you. But of course people will start to loading in a they do have a constant crowd or the locals. The food was great as always. Very quick turnaround time with appetizers and then right after the main entrees are on the way. Overall, if you're in the Park Slope are of Brooklyn make sure you stop by and check them out. You can also take the kids with you this is a family friendly restaurant. Enjoy Yelpers

Yelp
Horrendous service. Drinks: Placed an order for the table at the same time. The drinks were brought out at various times. With the last one being halfway through the entree. Appetizers: They brought out a large soup with no serving spoon or bowls. Servers were very difficult to flag down and apparently didn't have serving spoon. Not sure how we were supposed to serve soup with a tablespoon. By the time we got to actually taste the soup, it was cold. Also did not taste like Tom yum soup at all. No aromatics at all (no galangal, lemongrass, kaffir leaves). Could've had better soup from a carton. The mussels were tasteless and small with a lot of empty shells. Entree: Brought out the rice and noodles and told us to clear those before they bring out the curry's?! Brought 3 scoops of rice in a large plate. Very inconvenient for serving. The red and the green curry themselves were watery. More of a soup than a curry. The noodles thankfully tastes okay. Service: When we tried to explain the issues with above, they states it's because they had a large party so didn't have bowls and had to clean them before bringing them out. Restaurant was 1/4 full at this time. So you are telling me you only have 15 bowls for the whole restaurant? And if that was true, why bring out the soup to get cold when you don't have anything to serve it in. Water never refilled. Had an automatic service charge despite above. Ruined an entire dinner experience. Can find much better Thai food and service in many other places in NY.

Yelp
Nice ambiance inside and very fast service for two on a Friday night (and previously on a Saturday night). The dishes weren't very flavorful and we were disappointed. The tofu pad see yue (made vegan without egg) noodles were good but just didn't have much flavor. We were really disappointed with the tofu krapkow - the chili basil sauce was incredibly salty and very bitter as if it had a lot of tabasco sauce in it. We could barely eat the dish because of it. The food was a very good price but it was pretty low quality and I probably wouldn't return unless it got much better.

Yelp
Had dinner at Song on Tuesday night. The food was surprisingly cheap, but I did not love the inside space and felt the food was just okay. Quality: Everything we ordered from Song was fine, but nothing was great. The highlight was actually the Fried Calamari, which had a some extra breading, which helped nail the texture. The Thai Fried Rice was good, but boring. I did appreciate the amount of shrimp included. The Pad See Yue would be a skip from me. It lacked the flavors that usually jump off the dish. Quantity: Each item came with large portions. Value: $13 for the Fried Calamari. $13.50 for the Thai Fried Rice. $13 for the Pad See Yue. Ambiance: Song is located in the Park Slope area. The inside has a very strange design, with an almost club feel. A lounge area up front leads into an ultra stylish dining room, with neon lighting, dark walls, and loud dance music. They have a more relaxed patio out back, which had space for multiple parties, but without a breeze could get a bit warm. Crowd: Pretty busy on a Tuesday evening, with one large group in the backyard. Service: Friendly and quick service. Parking: Limited street parking in the area.

Yelp
I usually go for dishes other than pad thai, but the pad thai here is particularly good and is the best I have tried in NYC.

Yelp
This restaurant under this name is closed. The sign says a new restaurant is coming. It was good while it lasted. Now it's Gone.

Stella J.

Yelp
Was really good then went bad. We used to love it and go weekly. Repeatedly disappointing. We now love Bangkok Degree!

Petty J.

Yelp
I love song. My review really can stop there however I don't think anyone would appreciate it lol. My BF and I come here regularly and pretty much always order calamari and the spicy noodles with chicken. The service is always on point and attentive. If you sit in he back you can see the chefs prepare your food. I will always come back here and definitely recommend anyone to stop in and try.

Yelp
What happened to the flavors?! this place used to be the GOAT. i was obsessed and would eat their pad sew ew and green curry at least once a week! it's been so different the past few months / maybe even a year now :( they are quick to deliver but also where's the saucy goodness it used to be!

Nash W.

Yelp
I love Thai... that said I'm pretty experienced and picky with it. Today I ordered my go to Chicken Pad Thai and I always try a new dish so I ordered the Kang Panang Nuur. Sliced beef with peppers in a Panang coconut curry sauce. Aside from the container only being 3/4 full it was delicious!! My only gripe was the beef could have been fresher. It was simmering a bit too long. My Pad Thai was a disappointment. The sauce was there but it wasn't and there were little if any egg, peanuts, onions etc... I'll have to pass on it if I return. It's too bad too this place is right down the street from where I live. They have lots of street seating (doubles) with plenty more inside and out on their back patio. There was a brisk business while I waited the 15 minutes or so for my order.

Atiya W.

Yelp
We have been going to this restaurant for years. Even after we moved out of the neighborhood, we would visit when we were in Brooklyn. Last night my husband place an order for fried rice. One was for vegetable and the other was for chicken. The restaurant charged my husband extra for ordering in person stating that there a 25% discount for ordering online. He ordered anyway. He eats anything but I am picky. So I asked for my vegetable fried rice not to have eggs, mushrooms and tofu. All restaurants are different and I wanted to make sure I covered everything. I guess the person making my order was offended that I wanted modifications because guess what I found in my fried rice? A large piece of tofu. I understand that prices have gone up but to charge almost $30 for fried rice and to not make how I want it is too much.

Duane H.

Yelp
Good, cost effective food. Quick service, sometimes too quick... Drinks are good for the most part. Clientele is good, and situation is calm. You can bring the kids for a family night.

Robin W.

Yelp
Great experience at Song Thai restaurant. They were very helpful navigating which dishes could be prepared gluten free. I ordered the massaman curry and enjoyed it.

Odessa R.

Yelp
Worse service had us waiting for over 15 min. No one never even came to our table and apologize.

Ms. V.

Yelp
Song has become my go-to Thai spot, so much so that I told my husband, "I'll put on a bra for Song," one Date Night. We've tried a bit of their extensive menu, and specials, and have yet to be disappointed! The service is always superb. Keep up the fabulous work, y'all! I will continue to support this local business for as long as they want to stick around. Joya, Song & National are all in the same family of Thai restaurants. I have yet to try Joya, however, I love both Song & National.

Angel P.

Yelp
What I ordered: tofu masaman curry, tofu pad thai, fried spring rolls (2) Negatives: - Curry was incredibly salty to an almost inedible degree and there was a small piece of plastic in the curry that I almost swallowed. Finding this infused a sense of unease to my meal as I was chewing very carefully from plastic onward. - Pad Thai was lacking in flavor / sauce and dry. Positives: - The spring rolls were solid. General Comments: - Lemon instead of lime in pad thai.

Emmett G.

Yelp
The place has become a local favorite for my family in Park Slope. We came here to eat before an event in the area, and I knew it to be a reliable establishment. The setting is small, but very elegant, with a modern looking bar at the entrance. For appetizers, we enjoyed their Fried Spring Rolls. We ordered two dishes: Pad See Yue, a personal favorite of this place, with nicely sautéed flat noodles; Green Curry, with chicken and a refreshing coconut curry; and for dessert (something I hadn't tried before), Mango Sticky Rice, very sweet and very delicious. A perfect dessert. If you want a good Thai place in Brooklyn, I highly recommend Song.

Ariel W.

Yelp
Song is my boyfriend & I's go-to Thai spot in Brooklyn! Whenever I'm craving Thai, I don't think about any other spot than here. Food is good, portions are big. It does get busy depending on which day you go - so expect service to be a bit slow.

Louis P.

Yelp
Mixed bag...the food is overall quite good..We really enjoyed starters shrimp dumplings and mago salad. My partner had the shrimp pad thai, very tasty.. I chose the Salmon curry special, the sauce was good, but the dish was swimming in it. Service was very attentive, friendly. but we felt rushed after our meal, feeling pressed to pay our bill. The backyard garden was a true delight and a reprieve from the inside, where the decibel level is aa deafening as a Williamsburg night club! overall, a good meal, we wouldn't go back on weekends. due to excessive loudness for dining.

Ruby S.

Yelp
I believe Song, Joya, and National are all part of one chain of Thai restaurants. All 3 happen to be my most recommended Thai restaurants in the north Brooklyn area, but Song is my favorite. The restaurant is quite large with a bar and dining area, so we've never had to wait too long for a table. Even on busy nights, the wait is usually less than 15 minutes. The staff quickly seats you and they are friendly, but minimal in their conversations with the guests. As for food, YUM! I love the mango chicken salad, though it is seasonal. Sometimes it's not on the menu and I have to ask for it separately. Most entrees are $12, but specialties range higher. I've gone with their curry, sautéed entrees, and salads, and all are delicious. All in all, highly recommended if you're in the park slope area! (:

Shirrell H.

Yelp
My son and I had dinner here last night. The food was just ok to us. My son couldnt get over the construction table cloths lol. He didnt like his spring roll and thought his thai fried rice was decent. I ordered the spicy noodles with shrimp and i found it to be a bit too salty. I doubt ill be back. Inside looks nice but the food didnt leave me wanting more.

Terence K.

Yelp
Song, what happened!? I've been going here for over ten years and this used to be a fantastic, and cheap, Thai place in the slope. Consistently good. Tonight we got four dishes and two starters for $70. The main noodle dishes tasted like they had no sauce at all. If you're a Thai place that can't do Pad Thai I don't really know what to say. Very bland. Would be a one star review except we didn't throw the spring rolls in the trash with everything else. I can take the price hikes for old Song, but if this is a sign of what they've become, I won't be back.

Natasha L.

Yelp
I used to come here years ago with my husband. We loved the food, but on our recent visit the food wasn't good. Calamari was mostly fried crumbs, fish wasn't cooked and the pad Thai was tasteless. I won't recommend for special outing. Maybe just for a quick bite

Vince M.

Yelp
Song has the authentic taste of all Thai food. Service is great and very responsive since we are big peanut sauce lovers lol There mango Salad is delicious. There ribs are awesome along with all there thai dishes. They own a few restaurants but we prefer Song.

Simone J.

Yelp
This definitely a good spot. I love the food here, always tasty. Nice bar and ambiance.

Lynne T.

Yelp
I've eaten here twice when visiting vegan relatives, the second time at my request as the first time was so good. We had all vegan options and ended up with a varied and delicious assortment of 4 dishes that were pretty much demolished by our party of four. Spicing is mild enough for our elderly tastes, but not bland. At the top of our comfort zone, I'd say, but less spicy than our hosts probably prefer. We had Chinese broccoli with garlic sauce, spicy noodles, panang curry with tofu, and another tofu and vegetable dish -- I don't remember what it was called. All four were excellent.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Came back again for lunch hoping my last visit of salty entrees was just the chef having a bad night. I was disappointed to discover that Song does not offer lunch specials, unlike most Thai restaurants I've been to. We ordered a calamari to share, and 2 chicken pad see yues. In my opinion, just go for the large calamari because the regular size is so small, it's not even worth it. Long story short, the food was too salty again.

Ajani B.

Yelp
Firstly, the customer service could be better. I waited five minutes to be acknowledged at the counter. The food however was good and so was the atmosphere. Our server was awesome and the mojitos were STRONGGGG! Nice little vibe for dinner!

Victoria K.

Yelp
Sister in law brought home beef with Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce and even the next day it was delicious. Calamari are definitely better in house , vs reheated . Great spot, I usually go to joya but both locations have great food and atmosphere !

A T.

Yelp
Tried and trusted. We've been eating their food for over 15 years, first at Joya and now Song. The food is always consistent. There's not much point for us to even try other Thai takeout spots, save for the higher end regional Thai restaurants like Pok Pok or SriPraPhai. Anytime we do, it's always a disappointment.

Mary Jane C.

Yelp
Overall: They're very nice here, but the food is not worth trekking out for. Space: Clean and open with nicely spaced out tables and chairs. Food: My friend and I ordered two Pad Thai dishes, and they were both EXTREMELY salty. I tried to squeeze more lemon on it to cut through the salt, but I couldn't finish it. My friend didn't finish hers either. My parents ordered curry dishes (red panang curry and red coconut curry), but both were very bland and super watery. It worked out for my stepdad, since he prefers less salt, but my Mom had to order more curry sauce. Still watery, but at least, some form of flavor now existed. The only dish that stood out was the spring roll appetizer. SO GOOD. Yeah, and that's it. Service: Great service. No complaints here.

Keri M.

Yelp
I enjoyed this spot, the drinks were good and I had the shrimp pad Thai. I liked the candlelit scene and the waitress was very nice.

Jenny Y.

Yelp
Stopped by Sunday night around 8 for dinner with friends! Their outdoor patio was open so we were excited to go back for some Thai food! The seating area is pretty nice and would make for a cute date spot! I ordered their chicken pad see ew and it was so good! Their noodles tasted fresh and the flavors were well balanced. The portions were pretty big with the dishes being reasonably priced. The noodle dishes were about $11-$14 and I was so full afterwards. My friends also loved their dishes! And service here was amazing too! The waiter was very courteous and made sure our waters were filled. I would definitely recommend this spot for Thai!

Steve S.

Yelp
Was recently in the mood for Thai food, so I came to this place, Song. Based on reviews and a personal recommendation, I was looking forward to trying this place. And it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. Started off with the fried springs rolls for appetizer, which came with a nice sauce to dip in. These were cooked perfectly. For main meal, I went with the Pad See Yue, with Beef. This was excellent as well. The beef was great and the spices used with the noodles all blended together perfectly. Nice little spot this place was. And it was not expensive at all, considering you recieved large portions of food. Cant wait to come back in Summer time to check out the outside seating area.

Joanna M.

Yelp
Used to be good but seems they've tamed the flavor in their food. Doesn't taste authentic and I wouldn't recommend.

Esther J.

Yelp
Really liked this place. Not sure why the dating is low. They have a spacious outdoor dining backyard with great fusion Thai food. Clean, everyone wearing masks, great attentive service. Nice drinks

Silvia P.

Yelp
Food: 4 Service: 1 Pad Thai and green curry were delicious. I'd be happy to come back if the service weren't so bad. First hostess ignored me and the second hostess threw the menus on the table and walked away. Waitress was no better. Couldn't find her for getting water or making orders. This didn't affect the rating but I was baffled by the construction paper "table cloths." Not as in, here's paper and markers and draw type. Just pieces of paper as placemats. I was looking forward to finding a Thai spot in Brooklyn but unfortunately I won't be back. I can tolerate bare minimum service but this wasn't even that.

Ivelis P.

Yelp
Song is a restaurant that my family and I have dined at for about the past 7 or 8 years. The food is consistent in freshness, flavor and quality. We were afraid the quality would've suffered through the pandemic but other than the food now being a bit spicier than before, which is perhaps our only complaint. All is as delicious as usual. Definitely our #1 Thai restaurant in Brooklyn.

RA W.

Yelp
It's not Pongsri Thai Restaurant in Chinatown in Manhattan (food my half Thai family grew up on), but it's close! Song REALLY pulled through and saved the day today during NYC's COVID-19 nightmare! LOVE THESE WORKERS SO MUCH! THANKS FOR STAYING OPEN AND SERVING NYC. Song saved me from waiting in line and sent me a MOUNTAIN of fresh and delicious food for a good price! If you walk buy, AS ALWAYS, you can see staff cooking with the most meticulous hygienic rules in place. Song is as REAL NYC as it gets. Many companies that are national packed their bags and left town. Song is still here, helping us out! (Also agree with other Yelpers that Song plays GOOD music you can work out too while our gyms are closed).

Adam B.

Yelp
Terrible racist place. Was dining with my black wife, I'm mixed black and white, my two children and white mother. I felt as if we were getting rushed by the waiter and weird looks. Being a restaurant owner myself, this is terrible behavior for the staff to give off and wouldn't suggest anyone support this establishment ever!!!

Christina D.

Yelp
This is perfect for grabbing something quick light delicious and fair price ! Better yet cheap lol I was taken here on a date and eneded up here with friends with out realizing about a year later and their food is Amazing i tried almost everything and dont forget to ask for they spices !!!

Amelia V.

Yelp
Sit in the garden on a nice night for excellent vibes. Really delicious Thai that's much more complex, elegant, and flavorful than something you just order all the time for takeaway lol! Also had a great wine list. Will be back for sure!

Ashley W.

Yelp
Came to Song around 7pm on a Sunday. It was pretty empty and they were setting up for a large group. Bae and I decided to sit in the back. It is very peaceful and comfortable in the backyard. We ordered 2 Sapparo to start. The Mango & Romaine Lettuce Salad was just right. The Thai Mussels are AMAZING and the reason I will keep coming back to Song forever and ever. The Grilled Salmon over Glass noodles were okay. The Salmon was cooked a bit too long. The Bay Scallops And Shrimp with Pad Thai Noodles left more to be desired. The prices are extremely reasonable.

Brianna T.

Yelp
Someone in our large family party was craving Thai so we indulged. It wasn't busy when we came in probably because it was a weekday. I love the ambiance. It was dim, and decorated in a way that felt comfortable. If our party wasn't so big, I would have loved to sit on the patio. Service was pretty good. I remember the wait staff being attentive and considerate even while we were waiting for others in our party to arrive. I never felt rushed. The food is where I would knock a few stars off. My aunt said they must have been having an off day because every time she went, it food has been wonderful. The sale was pretty good, I liked the dressing and it tasted fresh. The chicken satay was a little dry. It tastes over cooked and the sauce to dip it with didn't help that much. The pad Thai was okay. I wouldn't say it was amazing or I would eat it again. Just ok.

Joan L.

Yelp
Great spot with outdoor garden in back---go early as it can get too close seating wise---food is very good - pad Thai, pad see ew, green curry, veggie stir fry w garlic and basil, calamari, beef satay---hit the spot

Christine L.

Yelp
Everyone in the area knows this place. This is the go-to for date night with my fiancé when we're craving Thai. We always just walk in with little to no wait if it's just the two of us. The back outdoor patio is nice. We don't just get the pad thai and pad see ew (which are both very good, by the way). They always have some good specials. You can't go wrong with their wings. Get the calamari starter and skirt steak entree, if they're offering them. They usually serve the steak with some kind of brown soy-based gravy/sauce and sautéed broccoli rabe with garlic. I once was lucky enough to be able to order the whole fried red snapper in curry. In my opinion, that was the best special they ever had. The massaman and red curries are tasty. But going back to the staple noodle dishes, if you really want to know.. the pad thai, although always very flavorful, is not always consistent, especially as of late. Last time, the pad thai was sweeter and more drenched in sauce than I remember it usually. The pad see ew is always the same with a good amount of char. I love a good char. They also have a bar in the front and a decent selection of drinks. They'll accommodate groups, but just know that there may be a wait on the weekends.

Chinara M.

Yelp
Lovely place for Thai on a budget! Thankfully Thai food is almost always budget friendly. I enjoy the chicken pad see yew, grilled salmon and pineapple fried rice here. The beer serving is also quite generous as they give you a large glass for only $8, pretty sweet deal if you ask me! The ambiance is quaint and intimate, definitely great for date night or even a first date.

Rebecca C.

Yelp
I don't know why this place gets such poor reviews. It's one of my favorite places in Brooklyn, one of the few places I've been to 3 times in my few months of living here, and it's always full of others enjoying date night. The service has been consistent, there when needed, otherwise soft-spoken waitress that is nice and attentive. The portions are HUGE and the prices are so cheap -- $10 for a large plate. I definitely recommend their pad Thai, pad see yu, or masaman curry. What they do really well are the classics. To me, that suggests the rest are just as good although every meal I try, is never as good as my husband's pad Thai. One of the best pad Thais I've ever had -- and I've had a lot living in Florida, Louisiana, Jersey, and now Brooklyn. It's dimly lit, great for a date night or night out with friends. A cute place to get dressed up. Only problem is I wish they had more dessert options (only mango sticky rice and fried bananas with ice cream). Definitely will be back her many, many times.

Polly S.

Yelp
When I lived in Park Slope 10 years ago, Song was THE place for Thai food. I returned to Park Slope on a recent visit and stayed with my BFF who still lives there. Craving Thai food, I asked where we should go. Was not at all surprised when she indicated that Song was still the best Thai food around. Most entrees are less than $10 so you are getting an excellent value. Always check for their specials because they are worthwhile for consideration. We had the calamari, pad thai, skirt steak, and a salmon curry. The salmon curry was on special and there was a huge sized piece of salmon placed on top that was cooked well. Overall, a fantastic meal!
