Sonic Drive-In

I gave it 1 star just because the onion rings just came out hot but nothing else did. The fries were little pieces of fries with a few tatter tots thrown in (all cold). The two hamburgers were wrapped so tightly that the buns were smashed, soggy and gross (also cold) and all shoved into a little bag. So disappointing! It wasn’t like they had a line of cars. We were the only car in line. They didn’t earn my loyalty business.

Food was good and well cooked. Service was friendly and prompt. Digital menu board was ok but not efficient or responsive. Can tell not as busy as maybe use to be, many slots blocked or do not have menu board. Not sure why, our chicken sandwiches were very good.

Absolutely terrible experience and food. Took 30 minutes to get my order on a Monday when I pre ordered it 3 hours earlier. Me and 1 other car in the whole lot. Got 2 burgers. Only gave me 1 at first. And the 2nd 10 minutes later.

The most consistent part about this store is the wait. Never fails. Whether I order through the drive thru or mobile order we are always left waiting. Last night I ordered on the app get there at the exact time it says it will be ready. Wait for 20 mins after I've checked in still nothing. So I hit the button to ensure they didnt forget about us or maybe didnt see that we checked in. There was one car there when we pulled up and they left as we were pulling in. Nobody in the drive. When I hit the button I say hi I was just making sure you saw we had checked in. An older short man comes out, like hes roman reigns, of the door and stands there staring at me while at my window like he wanted to fight me. Extremely weird behavior when I wasn't at all mean. The terrible service, the melted shakes on top of the long wait is certainly not worth 50% off.

I love sonic. It is right at the top of the fast food list. Best onion rings around and there burgers and chillies dogs are very good

Can you tell me why all the works park where all the customers should be parking, you have 6 cars in the customer parking spots... slowest workers, and you have 6 cars here..

When to Lancaster ohio Sonic tonight for a Halfprice milkshake waited for a long time to give my order, told that they could only Accept cash, pulled up, then I watched the tall skinny employee SPIT in my milkshake cup, with his hand, wipe it off the side of the cup. Then wipe it into my cup with his hand flat across the top and then watch him put more ice cream on top, which made me wanna throw up!!!! Got my money back,,,,,,I will Never eat there again!!!

Won't be wasting my money there again. The food wasn't even worthy of the garbage can. It was so dry and tasteless that I wondered how many days ago it might have been cooked! Gag me with a hedgehog - awful.

They was so slow they didn't even make the food right it was late night shift as well I'll never go there again

They mixed up drive thru with stall and said they had to separate the orders. We sat there for 30 minutes at the window! And it still wasn't separated or done with our food so we left. It's not that hard to look at the receipts and figure out what's on each order!

Absolutely terrible service. I have sat at the stall for over an hour for a mobile order, pressed the button multiple times just to be told it would be right out. Then they proceeded to say they sat our food aside for the entire duration we've been here because they didn't think we have arrived yet. The food arrived ice cold and milkshakes were completely foam and hot. Never coming back.

I'm just so surprised to read some of these reviews??!! I have been several times. We have gotten the tater tots. Great. Corn dogs tasty. The real fruit slushes delicious. And I love their smash cheese burgers. So wow I am sorry for the other people!!??!

Waiting in line for 25 minutes for them to be out of items and "Not have apple pay set up yet". It's 2024 cmon... No apple pay? Psh Wendys gets my busines.

I bought lunch for my family at Sonic today. We patiently waited for the order to be prepared just over 16 minutes. The employees came to the window to apologize for the wait and that they were making fresh tater tots which was the reason for the wait. Normally I check the orders but the sweet woman behind me was being impatient and was honking her horn and yelling for me to get going. So I didn't check the order. To keep it short. The person who took my order did not listen to most of what I said. It is very much possible they gave me part of another customers order. All of the meal combos were supposed to be large, two with French fries and two with potato tots. The SS Bacon Cheese burger that doesn't come with pickles came with pickles. The #2 SS burger was plain, nothing but two meat patties and cheese, has to be a special order or someone was just plain lazy and didn't complete making the sandwich. The items that allegedly caused the long wait were not given. They did not give me two orders of fries and two orders of tots. After realizing their error, I called and spoke to a sassy young woman who said she would "fry me some more", I could just, "come right on back and pick them up". When I told her the order preparation was delayed due to having to fry up some fresh tots, she said, "Well that wasn't me so if you want your tots you gotta come get them". She did not respond about the burgers or the soda. It has been a while since I have been to Sonic. I believe the last time I was there I couldn't order anything that wasn't fried and the milk shake machine was being cleaned. Pretty disappointing to spend $43.15 for a family lunch where the order was not taken correctly, prepared correctly, fountain drinks are visibly short of syrups, and over half of the order was not provided despite the fact the delay in receiving the order was the preparation of the items they did not bother to include in the order. One would think with the extra time they had the order could have been checked for accuracy.

if I could give it 0 stars I would I ordered through door dash I had missing items my bag nor my slushy were sealed and the tender looked over cooked I threw it all away just wasted my money.

This place was awful the day it opened years ago. I drive by here several times a week and every now and then I give it another try Simply because I think there problems stem from the teen age help having no real supervision For the past few months the ice cream mix has been good and I have been thinking of trying the food but today I learned they have went to the cheapest mix possible. ice crystals in the ice cream. The kind of ice cream you find in a really cheap buffet with a soft serve machine Maybe again in a couple years

Food was mediocre at best. The "cheesesteak" I received was he poorest excuse of a sandwich I've ever seen. Everything ordered was sloppily put together and semi-warm. Took someone about 15 minutes to take our order and another 15 after it said someone was "on their way" to bring out our food. They were also sold out on onion rings. The cheesecake shakes we ordered were basically vanilla. The mozzarella sticks were probably the best thing we got and half of them were over cooked. Overall, I do not recommend spending money or time here. There are much better (and cheaper) places to eat. P.S. the pickles on the burger were soggy and gross.

The whole reason for going there on that day was for the chili frito burrito thing they said it wasn't available any more if it isn't available take the signs down for that item it should be logical, but apparently it isn't for some places

This Sonic is hit or miss. When the food is good it's GOOD. When the food is bad it's HORRID. Our last time here, I had to take my Cherry Limeade back three times because they kept making it without the Cherry sauce. Basically, it was just lime and soda water--not a great combination. The ice cream is hit or miss, too. Sometimes the ice cream maker gets too cold and ice crystals form in the soft serve. It's not bad, but I just don't like it. The tater tots are to die for--but order them with no salt so you get a fresh batch. Then salt to your own taste. The onion rings are the one thing that they always get right. Yummy! Even though it's a hit or miss kind of place, we love going here on warm summer nights. The location is great and the people-watching is entertaining.

Food is awesome, especially the frozen lemonade.. everytime i'm in town I come here. Better than the nearby fast food places..

This was the first time I have EVER been to a Sonic. Ordered 1 Large Blue Raspberry Slush. Employees are so confused. $5.10 was the total I was told. I thought, this better be the best tasting blue raspberry slush on the planet, made with real magical blue raspberries. Employee swipes my credit card, then hands me 2 strawberry milkshakes. I said, excuse me, this is not what I ordered. Then she makes 2 blue raspberry slushes after asking if I just wanted 1. I said, no, I only want 1 and would like some money back. After getting a manager, and doing what seemed like an Astro Physics Thesis Paper to figure out how much of a refund I should receive, they hand me $2.39 back. I may be no Astro Physicist, but half of $5.10 is $2.55. Needless to say, I will not be returning to any Sonic location ever again.

Customer service is really bad. Employee who took my order was super rude! The employee at the window was very rude as well.

Probably the worst Sonic in North America. Food takes forever, food comes out cold, and even the drinks are wrong almost every time. I would say this is the worst Sonic in the world however, I think Sonic is only North American chain.

Last week, ordered milk shakes after 8pm, They said they were out of Ice Cream we have not gone back since, and Never order the food there it's always cold or old ,been sitting ,dried out,over cooked! Where is Management,who is collecting pay checks there and to lazy to serve fresh food and Milk Shakes, I know they were not out of Ice Cream ,just to lazy to make the shakes!

Evidently the restaurant closes at 10:45 not 11. Lights were on but no one answered the drive through. Started shutting lights off as we were sitting there.

Very disappointing - I like Sonic a lot, but this was the first time I had been to this location. Ordered a double cheese burger, corn dog and tater tots through the drive thru. Person taking the order was nice, but the person at the window never said a word or even acknowledge anything. Just took money and handed me a bag of food. Got home to find they screwed up the order by giving me a single cheese burger which was cold and the bun was stale and dry. Tater tots were also cold and all of the food had no real taste. Wont go there again.

Cold fries,over cooked chicken strips and corn dog. It all tasted like old grease. It was unedible. I will never will I eat there again. I will spread the word. 0 stars!

Came to grab some ice cream on my way home and when I got to the window, not one person in there was wearing a mask. I'm normally not one to review places but we're in the middle of a pandemic. Especially if you work in food service, you have to respect precautions in place because of COVID-19

Order accuracy is awful. It was similarly terrible last year (three straight visits with wrong orders, so I gave the place time to work things out for several months) but now I've had it and am very unlikely to return. Here's what happened on my two last visits, the last being today: Ordered cheese sticks, small watermelon Nerds slush, large #2 combo (double cheeseburger) with only ketchup and pickle. Our order taker must've been new, because they stumbled over every part of the order. The burger was made incorrectly: I received a bacon double cheeseburger with everything. But it gets better with the last visit, the straw that broke the camel's back. Ordered a #2 combo, same as before. Also ordered a single bacon cheeseburger, plain. Both burgers were delivered with everything, we're sent back. The replacement double cheeseburger was correct, but the single bacon cheeseburger still had everything... except bacon. This time, though, the person who took back the incorrect replacement slammed it into the trash can before heading back inside. Finally, on the THIRD try, we had our correct order. Either the training is lacking, or the quality of employee is lacking. Whatever the case, I'm done being disappointed.

I have never had such a wonderful milkshake before. You can tell it was hand made. I always get chocolate! Completely delicious! Their strawberry slushy is also fabulous. I love slurping actual strawberries through my straw!! Deff. Recommend.

Service is slow and food is expensive. Poorly managed place taking up a great location.

I stopped at Sonic to get a quick bite for my family before carrying on with our trip. I ordered 3 meals and a shake to the tune of $30.29. The pretzel dog was cold, the hamburger meal okay and the Boneless wings for $9.49...mind you wings only, were horrible. I ordered honey BBQ and got the spicest bites ever. They were the size of popcorn chicken and not even edible. I sent an email to customer service and got nowhere just a canned response. Let me tell you we have had our last meal at Sonic. I cannot reccommend them at all. Worst experience I have ever had bar none.

Slowest drive through in town. All teenagers and apparently no manager. Many times I have went only to see a line wrapped around the building. To bad I like the peanut butter shakes.

This sonic is so close to our house and the food is good!!! Very yummy:) the staff is friendly and great!

About a month or so ago I decided to stop by at Sonic while in Lancaster for a bite to eat. Everything was going as normal when my friend and I realized it had been quite a long time and we hadn't received our food and others who we thought had arrived after us had. So we called them again and said it had taken a while and we were assured our order would be right out. Then we waited FOREVER and I had suggested leaving several times when FINALLY our food came out. They said they were not sure what had happened but did not offer to comp the meal or anything after makings wait over 30 MINUTES for our food. This is supposed to be FAST FOOD. I could have likely been in and out faster at the local Applebees. If reviewsd only on service I would have given only one star but since it was hot when we did finally get it and tasted alright I gave them two stars. So beware if you do venture to this joint in Lancaster you may not actually get FAST food.

HORRIBLY SLOW!! Waited 15 minutes for my food. Only one in line. To make a hotdog. Really? I would of left but I already paid. Really poorly trained. I will never go here again.

Probably the slowest drive thru ever. Went later in the evening, only one in drive thru. Took nearly 10 minutes. All the food tasted the same. Obviously they don't regularly change the oil in their fryers or even filter them. Fries were cold. Sandwiches very sloppy.

first of all i didn't get a receipt. ordered 2 combos. chili cheese and tots, Chicago dog and poppers. we waited in a 10+ min line. after receiving our food pulled to the and ate. food was COLD. Poppers tasted OLD, the peppers inside tasted OLD, wilted, not fresh. it was raining or we would have took it inside. we went home, had to look up the number since we didn't get a receipt. i paid with a debit card not cash. i called spoke to a male manager. he said, "i see your order right here MAN." who speaks like that. Man. Not sir. I'm not in high school and shouldn't be spoken to like his high school buddy drinking beers at a party. But he said several ummm's and hmmms' and said he would only be able to replace order tonight because even though he looked my order up - I STILL DIDN'T HAVE A RECEIPT. What a miserable experience. I will NEVER go there again and me and my entire family eat there ALL THE TIME! We went back since the manager said he would replace the whole meal only within same night. A girl at the drive thru said without receipt she would only give us half of what we ordered. Ugg. What a hassle! Terrible customer service. Horrible COLD food. Food 2nd time around was LUKE WARM! Never again!
