Sonic is good enough that I eat here every now and then, but today's service at the location in Leesburg was so atrocious that I will not go again. Ordered online, ahead of time. Arrived and called from a drive-in stall as instructed. Said my food would be right out. 5 minutes--nothing. Called back. Said I was still waiting. "It'll be right out." 7 minutes later, someone shows up with what is obviously the wrong order, asking if I was sure I wasn't "Jason" after I said multiple times who I was and that's not my order. After way more effort than any meal at Sonic is worth, I said, "Cancel it," and drove off. Of course, they had no idea what to cancel since they clearly had no idea who I was. I did get a refund processed after 10 minutes on the site chat, but that doesn't do anything for the waste of time, miles on the car, and still having to figure out what to eat.
Update: the canned response from Sonic doesn't help since it's clear from my original message I already contacted customer service. Providing the refund was the bare minimum acceptable response. Not exactly reaching for the stars there.
