I love Sonic and their food the lady was very nice! It’s in a very nice location next to Baltimore and DC and Virginia it’s in a town center next to a hotel the lady checked our orders it was very nice she was being as great as she can. It’s time for the real review! So I ordered the Sonic Cheeseburger and I asked for only cheese and they gave me a grilled cheese with only cheese! I can’t eat that I am kind of allergic so I was very mad that I paid for a burger and get a grilled cheese a burger is 3$ more than I grilled cheese 3$ wasted right now I am waiting in line to question and return this stuff 2 star

First time here. I was confused about how the drive in works. I think others were too which may have been why it took so long. But either way, the food was good and for a good price. Nicely seasoned fries and the rainbow slushy was delightful.

DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION. I REPEAT DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION. I came to this location at least a few times. On my first time visiting this location, I ordered a burger with fries and a drink. My order was exactly what I ordered. However, when I ate my food it was cold. Now, as a customer you want food to eat that you spend your money on and the employees can't ensure that it's fresh and hot. So, second time around I visited this location when I ordered my food, I asked them kindly can they make sure my food was hot please cause my food was cold the previous time I came here. Along with my food, I ordered a sonic blast and I asked for extra candy in the blast cause it's a limited portion of candy and you can't really taste it because of the ice cream. So, I received my food and my sonic blast. My food was nice and hot as I requested. As for the sonic blast, they did not give me the extra candy as I asked for it. If your paying extra for something that you want extra for you should give the customer what they requested. Last encounter which was a couple of days ago, I had ordered here again cause not a lot of food places were opened at the time and this is where I was very frustrated with my experience. So I pulled up to the intercom and I was interacting with a lady I ordered a sonic double cheeseburger meal and which comes with fries and a drink. So. I told the lady I didn't want drink and if I can substitute it. She was. very rude saying so you don't want no drink like the meal comes with a drink and thats like if you go to McDonalds you get a meal it comes with a drink. However, this is sonic not McDonalds. Like I politely asked if I can substitute it please and she did and I got a sonic blast again with extra on the candy. This time everything was right but this is where things take a terrible turn. So, the sonic blast is in a plastic cup and the plastic cups are not durable so I realized the cup was cracked on the side and the ice cream was leaking. So, I pulled up to the intercom again and the same lady got on the intercom again. I told her what happened the cup was broken on the side. She rudely replies ok it's nothing we can do on our end and im like I paid for this blast and it's leaking and the least you can do is remake it. So she told me to pull forward and she came outside saying what you want me to do about it. I was hoping she can make another one please. She walks off and slams her hands on the drive thru window. So I left. Overall, I would not go to this location never ever again. Sonic you definitely need to get new and polite staff at this location.

I went to this place a 10 pm the drive thru girl with the curly hair very rude as I’m getting ready to pay I wanted to confirm my order she gave me the wrong drink order when I told her no I specifically asked for these 2 drinks she went on to be rude and walk away I didnt even want my order at that point anymore such a disappointment and reading all their reviews they need better staff. No need to be rude when you made a simple mistake.

The place is horrible. The young lady had an attitude when you gave us our food. We also asked for extra ketchup which she responded its in the bag. We said extra. She never came back out. We ordered through the mobile app. When the food came out it was cold. So, My husband had to go up to the window just to let them know food was cold and please remake it. This time a gentleman came out and gave me the food . The food was still cold . We just threw it in the trash. The only good thing was our sodas. I will never come here again

I had an errand that brought me to this area a little before 8am. I was excited because I haven't had Sonic's in a while, and purposefully made a side trip to get something for breakfast. So I arrived at approx 7:50am and this place doesn't open until 8, fine I can wait in the car stall until 8. At 8 I press the button to make my order, no response. Waited around for 40 min, repeatedly pressing the order button, but nothing. I understand that it may be slow on a Monday morning, but if you're not going to be open at the stated business hours, please put a sign up saying when you are actually open. Had to leave to get to work and picked up Dunkin' Donuts instead.

One time, our orders were missing ingredients. They even messed up the cherry limeade. The burgers had as much onion as beef. My kid still talks about it. As a young cheeseburger connoisseur, she was offended. Tonight, communications with the various stalls wasn't great. After pushing the button, I was told to "give them a second." Shortly thereafter, an employee asked if I'd ordered a mango shake. I replied that I hadn't ordered at all. Ten minutes later, an employee came up and asked if I was waiting on anything. I explained the situation, and they seemed to acknowledge. I waited another five minutes before pushing the button again, and that last employee replied almost immediately (though nearly inaudible). This location is substandard. I realize that this isn't exactly MIT, or The Palm, but I think we can do better, particularly if my order is going to cost about as much as an entree at Chili's or something.

I am a delivery partner and I had a very disappointing experience on Tuesday 1st July 2025. I pulled up at approximately 11:05 pm to pick up an order for delivery and I also ordered a hotdog. The young lady at the window looked confused as if something was wrong, then she said that they are about to make the order and I should drive up to lane #2 and they will bring the food to me. It's now 11:45 pm and I realized that no one is coming and it seems they have forgotten me. I pulled back to the window where I was told by another worker, that the order was picked up by another driver before I even got there. Not even an apology was given by the emplyee who wrongly informed me. All she did was try to avoid speakimg to me. I was very upset - because my time, money, gas and mileage were all wasted. The next day I called the "corporate office" to complain about how poorly I was treated by their employee and they told me that someone will call me within 48 hrs. to resolve the issue. I didnt get a call back until 5 days later, and they had that same store that I have the issue with, to call me to resolve the matter. Well, that didnt go well, because the young lady (the manager), told me that she was told, that I made a report, that as a customer, I was treated poorly by a Sonic employee. She continued to state that I was not disrespected as a customer because that night I was there as a delivery person. I couldn't believe the foolishness coming out of her mouth - a "manager!". So, delivery people can be disrespected ???? What nonsense is this?! According to her, that night I was a delivery person and not a customer...when, in actuality, I was a customer AND a delivery person that night. When I asked for her name, and told her that she's turning this around on me, she hung the phone up on me. This situation has escalated beyond what it should have, because this store is run by rude and disrespectful kids. I have given up on the "corporate office" to resolve the issue and I have now escalated this situation to the BBB. I will never purchase here again. I'm not going to pay Sonic, only to have their workers disrespect me. This is horrible business. Customer service is in the dumps here, with rude, disrespectfull and dismissive employees. Does the owner even care how his/her customers are being treated by the employees? It doesnt seem so. ZERO STARS!!!

Was looking online for ice cream in this area since we came over to go shooting. Found sonic while we had lunch and planned on getting dessert here. Pulled into the drive in area where I THOUGHT they were supposed to come deliver items with roller skates on. I told our friend about it and she was disappointed when they just walked out in tennis shoes. We both ordered blasts, one heath and one peanut butter. They DEFINITELY mixed up the toppings. When I was eating my pb blast I could taste the chunks of coffee heath. When D was eating her heath bar all she could taste was peanut butter. What a shame. We will not be back to sonic, waste of time and money. I used to eat at the sonic right outside my college in Lynchburg va. Having not been back in 10 years, I definitely will not be back. I had to drop the stars down because I paid for (2) extra dipping sauces which I should have gotten (1) ranch that's comes with the cheddar peppers and the additional jalapeño ranch I paid for and only received the jalapeño ranch. Never recede andy ketchup for my onions rings...so don't know if someone didn't read or just was moving too fast. Please pay attention to each persons orders.

Whenever my son and I crave chili dogs, Sonic Drive-In is our go-to spot. It's the perfect place to enjoy slushy drinks, milk shakes, different little appetizers, and of course chili cheese dogs , all with in the convenience of your car. My son loves the experience--it's a fun change from our usual dining options. Since it's not close to home, each visit feels like a little adventure. The unique drive-in vibe makes it a special treat for us. If you're in the mood for a casual meal with a twist, Sonic is definitely worth the trip! Also download the apps for all the great DEALS because sometimes the prices are cheaper. Another suggestion: order ahead on the app , so u don't have to wait long time. :)

Asked the Car Hop like 5 times for the item displayed on the screen, but she kept repeating burger combos?? Obviously didn't know what she was talking about, or what she was doing. Would be great if your Car Hops knew about their own seasonal promotions.

The food is mediocre. Service is slow, orders sre never complete, and tots aren't fresh. Thry only respond to a few drive-thru bays, and the drive-thru response seems as if only 3 people are working at any given time.

The Ritchie Station Sonic is the worse one I've patronized in the DMV. I paid $33+ for 2 orders each: 6 chicken tenders, 1 small onion rings, 1 mini shake and 2 Oreo cookie shakes. The receipt, and the window clerk confirmed, a chicken tender DINNER is 3 chick. tenders! Had I not been with my young grandchildren, I would've said forget it, but we were there as a tradition for MY birthday. Oh, 3 tenders cost $7.40 + tax. Furthermore, we weren't offered any sauces and not given any either. Oh & on a previous visit on a SATURDAY abt 8pm, that Sonic had NO French fries!

I love Sonic but this location, I would skip. The service is not good and it is very slow. The food also isn't good it either doesn't taste good or the fries are cold, no complaints about the drinks though. It hasn't been worth the wait.

I've tried coming to this sonic several times actually. Today was the first day I was actually able to order food. Not a great experience. The person taking my food completely messed up the order, and upon trying to fix it, they just kept messing it up more and more. The ambience is great either. It really just seems like nobody wants to be here. every time I've been here haven't even been opened. Drinks were dripping and unmixed like someone just threw them together and tossed them out the window.

I used to come here quite a few times as it was near my church but since I moved it's harder to get out this way. It's sad that this is such an awful location bc it's the closest sonic to me (about a 45min drive). Anyhow, I decided to give them another try. They get my order wrong more times than not. This last time, I went around 11pm and ordered a chicken sandwich combo. When I got home, I was surprised to find 2x double bacon cheeseburgers and onion rings. The only thing they got right was the drink. I didn't think to check before I left bc it was already late and I just wanted to get home, which was about a 45m drive, and I should have to do QA on my order... I've never had an issue with customer service. Everyone seems friendly. I just wish they would get my order right...at least once. So if you order from here, make sure to check first.

The food took a while, but id wait for eternity just to get a corndog. Seriously. They have the greatest corndogs at every Sonic. I don't know what farm they get their corn, or which animal shelter they get their dogs, but the corndogs are heavenly.

You should go somewhere, anywhere else. I promise no cherry limeade, coney, burger, etc. is worth the wait or the experience being terrible. The place is run down and they have multiple stalls closed. Car hop said "the kitchen is so slow today not sure what's going on back there" as they served cars relatively quickly in the drive thru Update: waited 30 minutes after ordering until someone came out of the building and we could ask them what was taking so long. They left and came back 10 minutes later to tell us that someone ordered the same 2 things as us and they only made one and gave it to them. 10 more minutes later we had to flag someone down to ask what was going on and they went in then came back to tell us that half our meal was ready. A few minutes later we were given a warm ish burger. So again, go literally anywhere else

Steer clear of this Sonic... I tried all 3 sonics in the area - forestville, district heights, and Bridgeville. All were no good AND I am a Sonic fan. Of the 3 - this Sonic was the worst. I would not eat here. The food wasn't edible. I ordered a coney combo. The tots were stale and over crispy at the same time - no potato left (the inside was so dry). The hot dog was lukewarm and the bread was stale. The chili was too much (soggy and sloppy at the same time). I didn't even see cheese. The chili was between cold and lukewarm. Never again! Threw it away sooooo fast! Not in my stomach. I couldn't even at least enjoy the cherry limeade. Epic Fail Sonic! Epic fail.....

If your tired of the "Same ole" stuff at fast food joints then hop on over to Sonics. They offer great snacks like mozzarella sticks, warm pretzel and cheese, chili dogs, onion rings, great milk shakes & custom made freezies!! My fav is the foot long Coney Island (great for sharing with 2ppl) Cons: customer service could be better depending on who's working that day. Also They can do a better job at Maintaining the flow & reducing heavy wait times.

It's Sonic. You're going to get garbage late night food and a slush, not a Michelin star meal. In terms of getting what I ordered, it's been pretty fantastic and somehow to closest Sonic in my area. Right now from the pandemic all the park-in menus were closed, but the drive-in was the sole method of ordering. Yes the line can be a bit long, but you can avoid most of your wait ordering online or through their app - same prices but even more specials. 1/2 off slushes and drinks every online order, plus any limited time specials will be there as well, such as the Halloween 50 cent corn dogs. Just pull up to the window, tell them your name, and your food will be ready when you pull up! I eat it for the nostalgia, not for the sanctity of food. And for bringing me back to my childhood and having some dope staff help me out when I visit, this location gets a pass in my book.

I really wish my first visit rated higher. I originally intended to order food but changed my mind after sitting at the order kiosk a few minutes and seeing people return to the store with what looked to be incorrect orders. I decided to stick to a cherry limeade. Received my order in about five minutes, server was very friendly. I drove off and about five minutes later tasted my drink. I didn't know you could actually mess up a cherry limeade. It's sprite, lime and cherry juice after all. No fizz at all. No cherry flavor. It just tasted like sweet and sour with ice. Almost like a VERY tart and sweet cherry lemonade (I love cherry lemonade btw, so if it had just been that I would have been ok). I will visit again after a while and try food, but I cannot rate higher based on what I received.

This place has gone downhill, If you want undercooked food this is place to go, I love the stomach cramps after eating here. The service said one minute 10 minutes later I found my self clicking the Order button again. They took my car and I had to walk over to the building to retrieve my card back. And they messed up my order. And I corrected the bill before paying. The place looks a little rundown now, they have not fixed any of the displays for ordering.

TRASH!!! The food was not fresh. At 4 pm they were out of half the menu items. The cheeseburger was completely cold because the lettuce and tomatoes! The mozzarella stick was hard and cold tasting like tires. Drinks had 4 pebbles of sonic cubes in a shake cup. Yeah you know the with the opening to put the cherry on top so I guess they were outta cups to. The drive through lady has a nasty attitude. To be fair I think it's because they only had her and the cook! Shame on me for not reading previous reviews!!! Never again. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!!!!!! I'm mad you can't rate 0 stars.

Very slow service. The food was good but the service was slow. Still you are not able to order inside of the store. This adds to the slow service because you must wait in the drive thru and only about three of the park and order lanes were open. I'm astonished because this chain is known for good quality food and service. The prices are pretty high, two milkshakes for around $10, both were small crazy.

Unfortunately you have to include at least one star. I'd give it a quarter star but can't. And that quarter star is merely because the parking lot was free of pot holes. When that's the best thing you can say about a place, that's not a good thing (had to make that clear just in case the folks at sonic weren't sure that this review was not going to be positive). First, there is no car hop service. All the bays are closed. Second, there's no dining area. Third, given all that, you'd think all available resources would go to the drive through. You'd be incorrect. After twenty minutes of not moving - benefit of the doubt that maybe someone ordered for the entire county - I decided to bounce. Okay. That's not entirely fair. I moved up when two of the cars (not the only two cars, mind you) bounced. So, the first car in line didn't love for twenty minutes. Twenty minutes. How?

This place is just bad..... For 3 people the total was $41 and we each had a regular burger with tater tots. We waited a good 40 minutes and everything taste like public school cafeteria food or freezer food. There was one girl going from cashier, to outside, to window basically doing everything. And the one mini shake(it was so small) we got was almost $5. Will not be coming back.

This sonic is a joke. I had to go to 4 different drive up screens to find one that actually works. Then when I push the button, the lady rudely asks for my order then the SECOND I start talking she interrupts me and then disconnects. I press the button again and finally get my order in. The little girl that brought my order was so rude too. I said hi to her and she rolled her eyes and said NOTHING to me and just handed me my food. I said thank you to her and she rudely handed me my straws and walked away without saying a word. Tater tots were disgusting and over cooked. Chili dog was gross. If I could give 0 stars I would. Couldn't tell you the name of anyone because I was never given a receipt. And if management wants to know who was working, it was Tuesday, 3/26 @ 11:30am. I

Slow slow slow....from the service to the people. I have been in my sonic stall waiting for my food for over 20mins. There is no sense of urgency or fcksgiven. Close it down & pack it up. The whole place is terrible. Spent so much money on extra perks in my drinks and didn't get any of it. I'll find another place for slushees. SAVE YALL MONEY! Don't go.

I think this location has finally turned around in terms of their customer service as well as their attention to the quality (freshness) of their food! I ordered a fish sandwich, and you can have the option to add cheese. DO IT! The sandwich came out PIPING HOT, where the fish patty was super flaky, crispy, and yummy; it had a great generous amount of tartar sauce, and the shredded lettuce was also fresh. The cheese was melty, and added to the taste! I also tried their new pretzel twists; these were SO SO SO GOOD! They are golden-baked and delicious, has a crisp exterior, soft interior, and super tasty with their signature cheese sauce that comes with. Don't fret, as those who love the dipping action and like to sauce their items up, the container is of a generous portion! Service here was also friendly, and the cashier is patient and confirms your order at the end. It's nice to see that this location has turned for the better, as I frequent this place often! YAY, I LOVE SONIC'S! ahahahaha +pretzel twists! +signature cheese sauce! +fish sandwich! (request with cheese and extra tartar sauce; fresh out of the fryer!) +improved customer service!

Allegedly the restaurant opens at 9am but I made a mobile order at 9:45 and got there at 9:50 to pick it up and the workers were just getting there. Gentleman at the drive thru window waved me away, saying they were closed but I let him know I had already placed, and been charged for, a mobile order. He said they JUST opened because the opening manager was late and it would be 30 minutes before I could get my food. He suggested I cancel but I let him know that I wasn't able to cancel on the app. He said he could cancel inside for me and I let him do that because apparently there were no other options. This isn't the first time I've had a problem here and I won't be coming back.

Waited 10 minutes for them to even answer the call box. Building is close to customers so there is no way to communicate with staff. The bright our order and it was missing several items and I had to wait another 10 minutes for them to come out to someone else's table and tell them what was missing. 15 minutes later they still hasn't come back. I'm unsure how they are still in business.

Ordered on the app, arrived, checked in... Waited 5 min before checking to see what the delay was, my order was somehow lost... after confirmation waited another 10 min before my order was brought out .. My food was cold and my shake and slush were melted... I sent it all back

Sonics French toast is so good and the girl as the cashier was so sweet. But they only give you four fat sticks which makes me kind of sad but at a reasonable price. And I always create my own shake which always tastes amazing. Just long drive thrus. And long waits. Here's an update: Derrell the manager was so kind ! Very considerate and overall professional! He is a diamond in the dirt. Even though the store said they closed at 11pm due to COVID online he still served us after being in line for a while. Thanks Derrell for being such a great person ! He also had some fast workers who brought the food out fast and quick to keep the line moving efficiently!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. This one needs to be shut down. The dining room is always closed, along with the drive thru. You can go to the walk-up kiosk but it will take forever for someone to take your order. Once they do, you better plan on hanging out for the next 30+min for someone to bring you your order. Meanwhile the garbages outside are overflowing. No matter what time of day it is...first thing in the morning, afternoon, evening...there is garbage everywhere outside. They literally walk it outside, barely cracking the door because it looks disgusting in there. I take my order to my car and everything is cold. I just waited 30min for some cold tots and a burger that looks & feels like they put it together a week ago.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!! Let me start by saying that I'm a Sonic's lover! I ate Sonics growing up in Texas all the time. Now, on the rare occasions that I eat fast food, I usually like Sonics because the burgers are fresh and made to order. I've tried this location a total of 6 times in hopes that my experience would be better than the last. The line is always wrapped around the building and the line moves SLOOOOOW! The drive up bays are blocked off. I attempted to circumvent this on this final visit by placing an order thru they the app. I had to wait 3xS as long! When I finally got the food, the tots were cold. No apologies or explanations were given. I'm so disappointed. I won't be back.

This Sonic should get a negative rating. Worst experience ever at a Sonic. I usually love Sonic, but this location was such a disappointment. At first we were thinking they were just short hand. Which they might have been, but complete incompetence was also a factor. While we waited to pay at the drive thru window a car hop returned to a car at least 6 times with an ice cream... The cherry lime aid had no syrup... when I asked to exchange for cokes - it took forever! I didn't get a portion of my ordered. Why bother keeping this place open!

This review is based off multiple visits to this location not just one. This location is just truly a disappointment all around. The last 3 times I came here, I pull up to the drive thru and they had a sign out there saying they had no fried foods! HUH? If you're a fast food restaurant with NO fried foods then what's the point of being open?! You might as well just close it down for the day. And this happened MULTIPLE TIMES? Like what in the actual fuck is management doing that this keeps happening!!!

The worst fast food restaurant. Customer service and food is terrible. This location a franchise and not governed by corporate. They're constantly out of menu items and only after waiting in an enormous line when its your time to place your order is when you are informed of 90 % of items are out. Yes this has happened twice, but it will not be a third time. The electricity is often out. My complaint to corporate. on Nov. 14,2021 On this day, I waited for 43 minutes until I was able to place my order. I was informed that many things were out of stock. I was told I was unable to order a milkshake, no cup holders or fries. Although that was the main reason, my daughter came and waited. I substituted my meal with onion rings and was charged. This should not have been the case. After finally placing my order, I waited another 22 minutes. Only to pull off and realize my sandwich was cold and cheese not melted. I was unsatisfied with this experience and requested a refund/ I visited this location and noticed that several items on the menu were unavailable each time. For instance last month there were no options for fried food. I'll be awaiting a response. After three calls to corporate I have yet to receive a return the call. So today, Dec. 31, 20212- before the New Year to close-out this headache. I called the store myself and spoke to Buddy, the manager. He took the time to explain his experience-lack of staff, back order of parts for kitchen (electrical issue) and supplies. After he shared his approach to rectifying the problem I will give it another chance. I originally gave it a 1-star rating, now he increased it to 3-stars.

I gave it only 3 stars because for one I don't like that the the actual sonic app has the full menu but if you go on Uber eats or door dash they don't show u every single item on the menu , second I don't like the fact that when I pulled in to one of the many service lane they failed to mention that the payment system wouldn't be working so I had to give the server my card as he went back into the building but apart from that I do like the food

Drove from Alexandria just to try the new pickle juice slushy. I know that sounds crazy but I love pickles! Drive-thru service was good. There was a family in front of me that took forever to order but when I pulled towards the drive thru window, someone walked my order outside so I didnt have to wait behind the family. The pickle juice slushy was milder on the pickle flavor but it hits your more at the end of the sip. Dont knock it til you try it!

I was in my feelings and didn't want to go home at 9:30pm tonight to eat leftovers. So I came here and I'm glad I did. Casey and the drive through young folks were so polite. They made me laugh and I tried something new. I can definitely appreciate the great customer service.

Food was like every other Sonic I've been to which is great since I love Sonic. The real issue that I had here was the person who was checking out people and handing food. Two cars in front of me had driven off and she came to my car with the wrong food. I let her know that two cars have driven off and that was not my order and she started cursing. Not necessarily at me but at the idea of what was happening. I understand how stressful that can be but I also know that that was absolutely unprofessional.
