Google
Amazing little store that has a super friendly staff, and great ergonomics. Prices are as expected for corner store convenience! The chocolate covered gummie bears are sweet and definitely taste homemade. You can taste the handcrafted chocolate! Will be back to buy some more! Highly recommend. Thanks for the warm welcome & free goodies 🫶🏽🍫🧸

Good fresh produce. No waiting in line. Prices not bad.

Google
I absolutely love this place, it's nice having a fresh market just down the road. Let me let you in on the best kept secret, the feta! After seeing the sign for feta on a piece of cardboard for 8 years I finally asked. WOW, the fresh feta is out of this world. Definitely ask them for a little sample!

Anil G.

Google
We live off highway 12 ourselves and love to get fresh local stuff from them when we can.

Laura Greco C.

Google
I love this place! I drive here every two weeks from Marin. Prices are great and everything is fresh. I love their pasta and other grains. The people who run this are very considerate and friendly.

Gilbert G.

Google
Staff is friendly, prices are good and the selection on fruit is killer. New owner has put a lot of work into adding new items and more appealing interior storage. Simple Old Town Sonoma Store.

Kimberly R.

Google
The best place to grab quick produce and a few dry goods. Love their feta cheese which is sold by the pound. Just ask for it when checking out and they will go get it. Fantastic prices and great staff!

Google
This local market is a bargain compared to other retailers in the area. The variety of fresh and local offerings keep me coming back. I appreciate the inclusion of specialty products, like vinegar, vegetable sauces, breads and cheeses. Happy to shop here.

Jan N.

Yelp
They have such beautiful fresh produce. I really like the honey crisp apples this time of year-crisp & flavorful! It's a quick stop on the way home for other grocery items. Parking is easy, it's a little gem of goodness in Boyes Hot Springs!

Yelp
I've driven by this spot so many times and I've always wanted to make it happen so I've finally stopped in for some fruit, snacks, and light grocery needs. It's quite robust for how small it is. I love their snacks section; dried fruits, nuts, wasabi peas, trail mix, Asian snack mix, etc. They have a great selection of fruits both traditional and some slightly more exotic options especially depending on season. Some local products and imported options (oils and pastas), it's really a lovely roadside addition to our area. I can see why it's been here for so many years. Pricing is fair, convenient location off the drag, good variety of goods.

Yelp
I've passed by here quite a few times en route to other places in Sonoma. I had a recent weekday off and was having adventures in the area when I realized I needed to stop and get some fruits and veggies for the weekend. Most farm stands are closed for the season come December but Sonoma Fruit basket was open. They had a decent selection of winter squash, citrus fruits, heirloom tomatoes, spinach, peppers and so much more! They have some pre packaged items as well. Service was friendly, prices were fair and cheaper than grocery store produce. It's a partially open air market at the front with cover on the rest. Lots of parking. Really good option in the area for fruit and veg needs.

Yelp
I decided to stop by the market on my way home to see what this place had to offer. Locally owned & operated Sonoma Valley Fruit Basket, located on Arnold Dr. in Sonoma County is truly a cornucopia of fresh fruits & vegetables along with a variety of olive oils, local honey in several flavors like Blackberry, Sage, Clover,Wildflower, Orange,Raspberry & Avocado, you'll find organic items here as well, nice selection of pumpkins & gourds for fall, there is a big selection of beverages, candies, chocolate, cookies, There is a lot to see. They carry high quality items here. The lady who was working was so nice & very knowledgeable about the products. If you want to pay with Credit or Debit there is a 3%. Keep in mind it's an outdoor business, plenty of parking & there are baskets or shopping carts to use. Not sure about their hours, I do know they are open by 9am...

Yelp
We were expecting more of a farm stand given the rurality of that Sonoma and it was more of a local grocery store. Some of the items are not local. The only items that seem local are the walnuts. Some of the fruit are shipped from Chile. We didn't make any purchases but it is nice to look around for a quick reprieve while out exploring and supporting local vendors in Napa/Sonoma and otherwise. The attendant was busy and didn't really acknowledge our presence.

Yelp
I drive by this place all the time on my way home from work, and one day I decided to stop and check them out. I was not disappointed. There is plenty of parking. There is also a lot of fruits, vegetables, refrigerated items, pasta, jams, chocolate, and other snacks to explore. Employees are friendly. Customers some and go so it's not packed. It's very spacious. I have been here a few times now and I always enjoy it. I have purchased tangerines, figs, grapes, pumpkins and chocolate covered raisins. It's a very nice place to stop and shop.

Yelp
Very well run local fruits and vegetables market with a good variety of fresh foods. Always friendly and fair. Love this place.

Rachel S.

Yelp
Fresh fruit and vegetables at reasonable prices. Great customer service! We try to go as much as possible!

Hungry T.

Yelp
Can't recommend this place more highly. I would say that it's what Whole Foods used to be, but it's more like a farmers market level of quality. Service is so friendly! I've been ordering off DoorDash, I hadn't stopped in, I just originally wanted to try it for produce quality, it far exceeded Whole Foods. In store was incredibly kind. They have such a wider selection than is available online, or that you'd think is available when you drive by, it looks just like a produce stand, inside is actually expansive, a bit of everything you'd want in the way of high quality produce. Produce was 1/2 price Whole Foods for 2x quality. Picked up some cheese which was 1/3rd price of WF. Totally blown away. Absolutely love.

Yelp

Yelp
What's not to love about this little produce stand? They carry much more than produce, and Jawad (sp) aka Joe, was so kind and helpful. I picked up better fruit here than I did at the Novato Farmers Market just two days before. It's very juicy, sweet and frankly, priced right!! Plus, they carry Carrs Ginger and Lemon cookies which are hard for me to find near home.
google avatar

Jenn C.

Yelp
I love this farmstand. I have been going to this farm stand for over 40 years. It's probably pass-through the hands of different owners since I first started going there but they always have very good produce, mostly conventionally grown, but they have a wide array of local products and imported things as well. On this particular visit a man and his junior high school son were running the store. The man was friendly and recommended that all the local foods, we are especially good. He particularly recommended the local honey. I brought home some gorgeous pomegranates, some Italian wafer cookies that are vegan by accident, and a few other things like onions that I need at home on this particular trip. Most of the produce is very seasonal and I think most of it comes from California and Mexico. There were chest that's from Italy and very little remainder of the 25 pound bag that was on display!
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
The fruit selection is great and there are tables with prepackaged grains and candies. Only thing is you have to pay cash if is below $5 to avoid an additional charge/card.
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
We drove here all the way from the other side of town to get some fresh watermelon as that's one of the items they have advertised on their signage out side. Once we got home and cut into the watermelon it was completely rotten. This place gets two stars because of the friendly staff that works there.

Yelp
Sonoma Valley Fruit Basket is, as its name implies, a giant fruit stand (store* really) on the way to...you guessed it...Sonoma! I was in the car with other fruit and veggie lovers, so we pulled a U-ey when we drove past and had to go back! They have a huge selection, but the produce didn't seem any different from what you find at a regular supermarket. Prices were above average. If the quality had been, too, we would have walked out with much more.

Jack S.

Yelp
I have been shopping here since I was a teenager...I used store sell my product here when I had a business...Now I sell my fruit to Omar the owner. Omar is fantastic and his employee's are a reflection of him. He is one of the few independent's left...We need to take care of our small independent's. Thank you Omar for doing such a fantastic job!

P L.

Yelp
I have shopped at this cute and convenient fruit, vegetable, nut, grain and confectionery market off of Hwy 12 many times before since I was very young. Its nice to see that they have not changed except the parking lot which is not very nice. It would be great if it was worked on since I cannot remember a time it was nice and smooth but instead its rough and bumpy. I won't return until the parking lot is fixed as I do not want to damage my tires.

Yelp
We couldn't resist stopping by this place on our way home. It's not at all what I expected, which was a modest little fruit stand full of organic fruits and maybe a couple of vegetables. Umm. Not that. It's a massive grocery store, brimming with more than you ever think you need, and then some. Up front it has loads and loads of fruits of every conceivable type--many in season and all those that are not as well. In the back of the shop, are produce and greens. There are aisles of all sorts of grains, candies, vinegars, sauces. Their offerings go on and on and on. It's an open-air market, but with covered awnings. Btw., nothing is organic :-(! Because of this, I was not motivated to buy as much as I originally had planned, but still because we had stopped--and the prices just could not be beat--we did buy peaches, nectarines, honeydew melon; green and black figs; cantaloupe. I did not have much hope for any of it tasting all that great (because of the lack of organicity :-), but after I got home, oddly the nectarines had already become ripe--whaaat?? So I tried one, and then, two, and then three-damn of man, were they ever fantastic: juicy but not mushy, sweet but not cloyingly, and super fresh. A-MA-zing! I should've bought more. And next time we're in the area, I will. Everyone was super friendly and efficient, boxed everything up for us in a literal cardboard box to make stuff easier to carry and transport in our car. I took plenty of photos to give you an idea of the massive scale of this place.

Yelp
I always get so excited to stop by this place when I'm in the area! They have great prices and super delicious seasonal produce. Everything is almost always great quality. In addition to fruits and veggies they have some non perishable items and dairy products among other things
google avatar

Tom S.

Yelp
The low prices compared to the supermarket are inviting. The selection of fruits & vegetables is wide. Downside is pointed out by my wife the epicurean. She says all the produce is secondary quality. Freshness is not always the best. Flavors can be non-existent in rock hard apples, peaches and pears. Still I support and appreciate local family businesses. Come here to food shop, just be selective in your purchases.
google avatar

Bryan S.

Yelp
These guys built a beautiful fruit basket based on a phone order! Great customer service and delicious fruit!
google avatar

Yoshi B.

Yelp
Great place for all your fruits and veggies, but The Worst Customer service ever, sort've like you're interfering with the clerks personal time, Not a smile Nor smirk Not even an "hello or Hi or what you want, very disappointed in the service.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
I am a native of the area and have been going here for many, many years. It was nice having it within a mile of my home. In my opinion it's an affordable and convenient option as opposed to the big grocery stores for certain things. There was a young man who worked there who was so helpful. I've moved out of state so I'm not sure if he still works there--but he happened to have a great look so I snapped a photo (with his permission) and began a painting of him with all the produce in the background. The traffic can get really intense around there on certain days--especially Sunday afternoons. So I tried to go during light traffic times. It is a lovely proposition in a lovely valley. Open early in the morning and late into the evening in the summer.

Yelp
The best. Great people, great products and better prices then the big supermarkets. Check them out and support local businesses.
google avatar

Rick B.

Yelp
Stopped here Sunday afternoon and bought a watermelon and some peaches. I posted a pic of how they looked on Tuesday morning. Disgusting and inedible!
google avatar

Vicky T.

Yelp
LOVED the veggie chips, wasabi peas and banana chips .. The amount of bagged snacks they have is ridiculous!! The plums and peaches we got were also perfect A nice stop on the way back from wine country
google avatar

Aaron J.

Yelp
Fantastic market! Incredible selection, super fresh, and what an awesome team working there. Super knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Thank you for teaching us how to identify the best watermelon! Hint: turns out it's those big white spots - "sun spots" - that are evidence of light ripening in the sun. Thank you!!!
google avatar

Mike P.

Yelp
This place isn't anything fancy, but if you want some fruit i think they are going to be able to help you out. It's a fruit stand there are many like it and this one is ..... yeah but they had a ton of stuff and it was perfect to grab some snack food on the go. I really don't know what else to say about a fruit stand. They had fruit, they sell fruit, the fruit was fresh.

Linda G.

Yelp
I have been wanting to go here for so long. I finally made the trek from Fairfield. It was the worst. The customer service was horrible. The man working didn't say one word to us. He stared at us the entire time we shopped. When we got to the counter I greeted him and he said nothing back. I was so disgusted by his rudeness. I will never go back!!! The produce was just fair. Nothing special at all. And definitely nothing worth going back thru that horrible treatment.
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
What is there not to be said that their fruits are fabulous amazing fantastic mouthwatering LOL ' was driving back home and pass by and quickly stop to pick up some delicious fruit we are so lucky to live in an area with much abundance
google avatar

Kamal N.

Yelp
Wonderful store with great products and great customer service. They make you feel welcome and are very professional. Also, their local honey is delicious!
google avatar

Shelley S.

Yelp
This fruit stand on the way to and from Sonoma is not just your ordinary fruit stand. They have so much more than fresh produce. Seeds, nuts, cookies, drinks, spices, etc. It appears to be family run or at least several family members work there and they are all so nice!! After a day of wine tasting, its nice to know that there is a place to grab some fresh veggies to go with dinner that night. My secret pleasure here is the huge bags of sesame seeds they sell for less than $6.00!! Its got to be at least 2 or 3 cups of sesame seeds, which I need to make tahini, which you need to make hummus! Where else can you find such a large amount of sesame seeds? But they have huge bags of all kinds of other seeds and nuts, too. They only have a porta potty outside, but it always seems to be clean.
google avatar

Keith F.

Yelp
This market has a lot to offer. The fruit we bought was fresh and organic. I ate so many cherries! I was able to buy some packaged spicy seasoned mango that was so good. The staff was friendly and actually convinced my friend to try some cherries. We just stopped here to get a little nibble between all the vineyards so weren't really shopping for many items. We were grateful it was here and convienient. Definitely check it out

T K.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. My Husband and I went this morning there were no customers and the lady working was unfriendly said nothing to us. I wanted to leave but husband said disregard her she's probably miserable just look at her. Anyway, we won't stop in the future.
google avatar

Gwynnie P.

Yelp
I'm going to have to say that I'm not a big fan of the Fruit Basket....if you compare their prices to Safeway they are no better, and the quality/variety of produce they carry isn't much better or different either. Some of their non-produce items are much more expensive than Safeway and in some cases Sonoma Market, which is a pretty high end fancypants store.... It always seems sort of dreary in there overall, and I think they are missing a big opportunity by not carrying more local specialty goods, like olive oils, honeys, etc. that are made right in ol' Sonoma County.
google avatar

Jen S.

Yelp
There's NO way I can be the first to review the Sonoma Valley Fruit Basket! Are you serious? I'm honored! We drove by the place on our way to winetasting in Sonoma and stopped by on the way back. There were SO many fresh fruits and vegetables. Tons of wines, grains, sweets, packaged goodies like trail mix, nut brittle, dried fruits, and coolers full of beverages to boot! I can't get over this. We spent $36 on what would've easily cost $70 or more from a grocery store. We bought about 3lbs of cherries (DELISH!), fresh peaches, wasabi peas, banana chips, dried apples, mini fig bars, peanuts, ginger cookies, 2 lemons, limes (8 for $1!!), nut brittle, blueberries, and....and I'm SURE I'm missing something. There were customers around but we waited maybe 30 seconds to be checked out and the cashier was friendly and superquick. Sonoma Valley Fruit Basket beats out any farmer's market I've ever been to and is worth the drive from Berkeley alone! Though, *of course* I'd never use the gas to, thereby harming the environment immeasurably, JUST come here. ...I'd have to go get blitzed at Cline, too.
google avatar

Vicky L.

Yelp
I don't know why I expect roadside fruit stand to have their own fruit. But this one does not. You should think of this place as and open air grocery/convenience store. good selection of fruits, vegetables and drinks, but not a lot of items local to the Sonoma county.
google avatar

Orleana P.

Yelp
So I had a hard time reviewing this one and here is why. Since they are a specialty store that is specific for fruits and veggies that are suppose to be fresh from the farmer then why is it that half of the items are more cheaper then grocery stores and the other half are a bit more expensive. I got a huge beautiful seedless watermelon for under $5. Fantastic deal. But when I went to buy some cherries I did not bother. They wanted $5lb for them. I told the gal that I could get really good quality cherries at the following places for the following prices. Sprouts .98 cents lb Luckys 1.99 lb Safeway 2.99lb Raleys 2.99lb WFM 3.99lb I mean when you can get you cherries cheaper at Whole Foods then something must be a little off right? Needless to say I am sure the Associate could not do anything about it since she just showed a surprised face as she rang me up and then told me to have a nice day. She was very nice about everything though.
google avatar

Laila P.

Yelp
Arnold Drive Fruit Basket is amazing!!!! There's another on Highway 12. They have all these delicious little pre-bagged snacks - gummy worms, dried apricots, trail mix, hot tamales, etc. - a pretty decent selection of wine, nice cheeses, breads, crackers, meats, beer, pretty much anything you could need for an excellent picnic! The only thing I wish is that they had more extended hours. Get here after the sun comes up and before the sun goes down and you'll probably be OK. This place has the best prices in town on produce and the quality is often superior to that of other local markets. For the price, you can't beat it! It's totally worth the drive!
google avatar

Joanne G.

Yelp
Conveniently located just off the highway, an easy stop on your way home from Sonoma to San Francisco. A huge variety of fresh fruit and veggies to choose from, and prices were reasonable. The only negative was that there were almost no organic products, which was disappointing. I did buy some gorgeous pesticide-free tomatoes which were brought in from a backyard farmer in Napa. They also sell locally made olive oils, wine, honey, and packaged dried fruit, trail mix, and pastas.
google avatar

Ryan A.

Yelp
Great local store for produce. Most fruits and vege's are cheaper than the major grocery stores. They also carry a lot of local grown and sourced items (nuts, cheeses, sauces, etc) at a very reasonable price. Never regret stopping by. Did not give it 5 stars due to a hassle of parking on busy days.
google avatar

Amihan M.

Yelp
I commute from Marin to Napa and stop here on the way home when I remember I'm out half and half. Then I end up getting so much more! I don't know if it's because their half and half comes in the smallest container possible and there's this big store with endless rows of fruits, nuts, pasta, cookies and it just feels wrong to leave without anything else. At any rate, I usually spend at least $30. But happy.
google avatar

Lynda R.

Yelp
We live in the neighborhood behind the Fruit Basket. I have to say that the "new" owners are super nice guys and always have something nice to say. I understand that for their religious reasons (I think) that they chose to no longer carry wine/beer. I wish that wasn't the case because it was an easy run for me when we had unexpected company. Aside from that I really like the assortment of items that they carry.
google avatar

Tracy D.

Yelp
The Fruit Basket is open 8am-7:30pm... where else can you get such fresh fruit and veggies without having to rearrange your schedule? There's not as much selection as, say, Whole Foods or Sonoma Market, but what they do have is extremely fresh and you really can't go wrong. If you want one-stop shopping for a picnic, they have fresh bread (from Basque boulangerie), salamis, high-end jams, jellies, salad dressings, and of course, wine. You can also get beans, rice, pastas here, along with dried fruit. I was surprised that it was more like a natural food store than a fruit-only place. 4 solid stars for quality, plus 1 extra for easy parking and taking credit cards.
google avatar

Lindsey R.

Yelp
Disappointed with my white peaches bought from the fruit basket... They were ALL awful!!!! Did get some delicious yogurt pretzels, but too disappointed from my peach failure to go back..
google avatar

Ahna P.

Yelp
I'm near here every few weeks for work. I've decided to make a point to stop in each time I drive past. They really shine in their fresh fruit. Not a of depth in varieties-but usually very fresh and ripe. Last night i picked up a pint of ginormous strawberries and other various items. The berries were delicious! Ate them for breakfast today with a yummy kiwi. I haven't had a lot of luck with their produce-basic stuff I can find at TJ's or the regular grocery store.
google avatar

Darcy R.

Yelp
Everything from fresh fruits and veggies to the hummus guy pita chips. The selection of items is awesome and the prices are great! I now have the pleasure of driving by this place on a regular basis and I have already made three visits in the last two weeks. Items purchased today: Jalapeño and cilantro hummus, lemon pita chips, soy milk, red grapes, cherries, heirloom tomatoes, avocados, bananas, dried pineapple and pepitas.
google avatar

Norman B.

Yelp
This place is so much better on the inside than you would guess from looking at it. It has a huge range of fruit and vegetables at very reasonable prices. They are not organic, and obviously they do not have any form of traceable provenance, but they are of good quality and are sold at exceptional prices. Also, they stock a surprising range of dry goods. I nowadays do the base of my shopping here and pick up everything else at Sonoma Market - I get better produce and it saves a small fortune.

Betty T.

Yelp
This wonderful Fruit Stand is owned by someone who has dedicated their life to creating an atmosphere of a family caring about produce and fun things to share with those who come inside, lots of gourmet items, and many items Whole Foods would have, at half the price! I have been stopping into this nostalgic fruit stand for over 15 years, and seeing the proprietor sitting out front to greet you with his kind heart and attention to serving the community in an old fashioned, updated to the 2000's style!!!
