We had a great time here. Trevor was our server and was helpful and friendly. I had the Argentinian Ribeye meal and it was excellent. One thing, if you have Verizon, there is no reception there. Overall, highly recommend.

Google
Really enjoyed my lunch here. I got the Fried Chicken Sandwich and a Garlic Fry upgrade. They were both quite good. The Garlic Fries were done right, plenty of garlic flavor, nice and crispy. The Chicken Sandwich was good, well fried. The beer menu was good and I got a tasty Hazy from Original Pattern. The service was friendly, fast and attentive. Shout out to the hostess Brianna for being friendly and chatting with us a little while we were seated. Shout out to Natasha for menu recommendations, and friendly prompt service. I'd definitely go back.

This place is probably my favorite in Livermore for high quality cocktails, and the food is very high quality as well. It seems like everywhere I go I am comparing the drinks to this place. The ambiance is very nice, and they have a decent amount of TVs for sports games. My favorite drink here is the Devil Beats the Carter (which they actually rotated off the menu at the time of this review but continue to make for me on request). Bartenders / servers are always friendly and good at what they do. Cocktails are typically around $16 - $17 bucks and the food isn't the cheapest, but isn't out-of-this-world expensive either. Not really a party scene like V&E, Rebel, or Railroad but great to sit down, chat, and hang out at the bar / table. Parking on the road might fill up but with all of the free parking around first street it is easy to park nearby and walk over. I always stop by here when I am out in Livermore.

First time trying this restaurant in downtown Livermore, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience — I won’t be coming back. If you decide to try it, pay close attention to what you actually receive after ordering. We ordered a 1000ml bottle of red wine, but when the server brought it and opened it for tasting, we noticed the label showed 750ml instead. When we asked about it, the server checked and came back saying the restaurant had run out of the 1000ml bottles, and that the manager would offer us one extra glass of wine to make up for it. Later, when we were almost done with the bottle and asked for that extra glass, the server told us they wouldn’t be giving any wine, and instead would discount one appetizer, without specifying how much would be deducted. What made us most unhappy was that the restaurant did not inform us or ask for our consent before replacing the 1000ml bottle (priced at $130) with a smaller 750ml one. If we hadn’t noticed, we would have unknowingly paid full price for less. On top of that, the manager’s promise to compensate us was changed without any explanation or notice, which felt very disrespectful. What was supposed to be an enjoyable dinner turned into a disappointing experience. Very poor handling and customer service. Definitely not recommending this place.

I'm trying to eat at all the restaurants in downtown Livermore and this spot is deff my top right now. I want to say I think her name is Jasive dropped some awesome recommendations and amazing service. The artichoke dip was amazing and the Mac and cheese soooo rich! But that fried chicken sandwich was and is probably my favorite around! Was so surprised on how good it was! I will deff come back cuz I want to try other items but I think I might just keep getting this sandwich Everytime haha

Many people are attracted to Sons of Liberty for the drinks but the food here is SO good on its own! The crispy baby back ribs are some of the best I've ever had and the tiramisu is a seasonal dessert that cannot be missed!

We visited on Sunday and didn't realize lunch was not served on Sundays, I was a bit disappointed as I didn't see that information on the site. We were hungry, so we settled for the brunch menu, I ordered some sides that came together great with their guava margaritas. Service is great as we were seated immediately and served some water before we decided on our food. I will have a repeat visit so I can try out their delicious lunch menu as suggested by another diner during our visit.

Google
We recently dined at Sons of Liberty and had an overall delightful experience, although we encountered a recurring theme with spiciness that diners should be aware of. We began with the Deviled Eggs featuring a miso filling, chili crunch, lightly pickled cucumber, and scallion. Unfortunately, the chili crunch was too spicy for my wife, who isn't a fan of heat. This became a recurring theme during our meal, so be sure to ask about spiciness when ordering. For her main course, my wife had the Spinach and Berry Salad, which included organic spinach, pickled blueberries, strawberries, Laura Chenel goat cheese, toasted almonds, and lemon poppy seed dressing. She added shrimp, which turned out to be spicy as well. However, our server promptly replaced them with a non-spicy alternative, showing great attentiveness. I opted for the Crispy Baby Back Ribs, which were glazed with orange and soy sauce, topped with scallions and sesame seeds. They had a slight kick but were delicious. The highlight of our meal was the Mac n' Cheese, loaded with sharp cheddar, gouda, gruyere, and garlic herbed breadcrumbs. It was the best Mac n' Cheese we have ever had. We also enjoyed a bottle of wine from our new favorite winery, 3 Steves, which complemented our meal perfectly. Impressed by our dinner, we returned for brunch a few days later. I had the Smoked Brisket Hash with fried marble potatoes, caramelized onions, roasted red, yellow, and poblano peppers, pico de gallo, avocado, house crema, poached eggs, and cilantro. It was flavorful and satisfying. My wife had the Baked Hashbrown Gratin, consisting of cheesy hashbrowns with a cornflake crumb and chives. Unfortunately, the cornflake crumb had an unexpected kick, again posing an issue for her. It was also very runny, not what you would think of a hash brown gratin. Despite the spiciness challenges, the quality of the food at Sons of Liberty was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the attentive service. Just be mindful of the spice levels when ordering if you're sensitive to heat.

Yelp
Ordered the ribs, Mac and cheese, and artichoke dip for appetizers all of them were amazing. The fish tacos were even better, probably the best around in terms of more upscale fish tacos. Atmosphere was calm on a Monday afternoon, and service was quick! Will definitely be back, the chicken sandwhich looks amazing also.

Yelp
The waitress only offered us the bar or the booth with the small table. She never offered us a wait time for a regular table until I asked her the waiting time for a regular table. Unprofessional of herself and disappointed since we were referred by the owners of tap 25 taproom. We were looking forward to have dinner here for my birthday and we received this customer service.

Yelp
I've always seen this place whenever I search for restaurants in Livermore. Today, my FIL happened to find it for a place to eat after visiting Joan's Pumpkin Patch. The hostess was supper friendly and really sweet. Our waitress came who was nice as well and took our drink orders. I ordered the apple cider Moscow mule. After that, we switched to a table inside as it was staring to sprinkle since we were outside. The drink orders arrived when I was in the bathroom. When I got back to my seat, my husband said that he told the waiter to remind him and waiter said he would get it. The drink never came and at that point I said I didn't want it anymore. I'm not sure how after being told 2x that it still didn't arrive? I ordered the wedge salad as I wasn't too hungry and trying to eat light. My goodness. The amount of dressing they put on it! My salad was pretty much drenched with salad dressing. My experience with wedge salads was never like this. I ate what I could buy every bite was covered with dressing. I probably won't order this again if we ever decide to come back or ask for it on the side. The only redeeming thing were their fries. Fries were good but a little on the salty side.

Yelp
From the moment we sat down, service was awesome! The hostess was super sweet and our waitress was super sweet and patient also. The place is a quaint little place that is a mix between a brewery and a restaurant vibe. The food was really good. I definitely recommend getting the brisket tacos. It may seem like small portions but the food definitely filled me up!

Yelp
We came in for early dinner on a Tuesday. There was some kind of corporate event happening in the front bar area, so we were seated in the main dining room. Everything in the restaurant is nice looking and has a cohesive vibe that fits the restaurant name. We had a great server who was attentive and efficient. (Which was even more impressive as she was also serving the large party of corporate event folks) The brisket tacos were great. My wife enjoyed the burger, although we had to ask for avocado a second time when it didn't come originally. The drink menu is one of the best I've seen, drinks are listed out by type and country of origin. They also have several house cocktails and serve Boylan's soda. My daughter's lemonade even seemed to be freshly made/squeezed. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be back.

Yelp
Love it here! Bf and I came here for a couple burgers and had a lovely experience. Excellent food, however service was slightly lacking and slower than I would've liked, but the ambiance was wonderful. Pro tip: If you're gonna order some cider, ask if you can try it first! The apple cider and pumpkin cider are bomb, I loved the pumpkin cider

Yelp
My friend and I were out drinking and needed to find somewhere for dinner. Thankfully they were able to get us in to sit inside. We had the miso deviled eggs and omg they were so so good. That was all we ended up having because we had to go but I'm excited to go back and try the rest of the food and try the speakeasy. No pictures, I was too drunk to remember to take pictures

Yelp
Our Neighborhood Meet Up Group went on a Dinner outing, and it was my job to choose a restaurant. I choose SOLA for several reasons...I could make a reservation for 8 online, they stated LGBTQ were welcome, they had an extensive bar, and the use Mary's Chicken. We came early, were graciously greeted, a lovely large table awaited us. It took awhile to study the menu, and decide what we all wanted...but when we did our sever was great. I was very disappointed that in this age of electronic orders, this restaurant was not accommodating separate checks. So dark ages... We ordered drinks...the extensive menu was appreciated, and drinks arrived quickly. Shortly after that the lights dimmed, and the music became so loud we could not hear or companions on the others side of the table. Put a real damper on our event. Food was ordered...I chose a Burger and hubby the Mary's Chicken Sandwich. When our food arrived I was gobsmacked at the huge serving size ...the couples that split orders had made a wise decision. My Burger was good, hubby loved the Mary's Chicken. The fries had a light coating which I am not a fan of. So...service was great, food was very good, ambulance was completely spoiled by loud music, sorting a check 4 ways sucked.

Yelp
I've been to Sons many many times now. Today, we swung by for lunch and had a wonderful time. We got there right when they opened at 12. We were the only ones for the majority of our time. We ordered the Brussel sprouts as our appetizer and I got the grilled cheese with tomato basil soup. The Brussel sprouts were delicious. The grilled cheese with soup is always a hit!!! Way to go Sons!

Yelp
The Livermore food scene is not one I am familiar with so when I was tasked with finding a restaurant for lunch with a few former colleagues, I went to the place I always rely on, Yelp. I found Sons of Liberty and saw the many positive reviews. Since our first visit, we've been back a couple of other times. Sons of Liberty has a solid list of drink options and a good variety of food dishes to select from. Service is always friendly and even though lunch gets quite busy, we are never rushed to pay and leave. As a matter of fact, we've sat and chatted for up to three hours without any issue. The restaurant is spacious with a full bar, outdoor and indoor seating options. Parking is pretty easy with a garage close by and street parking accessibility as well. I've tried several dishes here before and my favorites are the poutine and creamy bleu cheese wedge salad.

Yelp
Ive been able to visit this location a few times now and the service is exceptional and food is excellent. The place is beautiful with both indoor and outdoor dining. I recommend the ribs, deviled eggs, chop salad and shrimp.

Yelp
Finally getting around to this review. Always have had great service here and super friendly environment. Let's get to the food! - must get every time: jalapeño artichoke dip, it's so creamy and flavorful, honestly if this were good for my skin I might slather it on my face. Lol - beet salad: balanced, bright flavors - chicken pot pie: this was just ok for me, depth of flavor wasn't there - drinks: apple cider Moscow mule I was pleasantly surprised by this! Not too sweet All in all a solid choice, I recommend all day long!!

Yelp
We came here for brunch and I highly recommend it! When our friends suggested it, I didn't know how I felt about brunch at an ale house but it was great food!! The service was friendly. I was really impressed by the brunch menu. We ordered the avo toast, millionaires bacon, chicken and waffles. Everything was great. There was a mix up with the chicken and waffles so we actually didn't get to try it. But what we did try I highly recommend. If you're a brunch person definitely give this a try!!

Yelp
Okay sooo I wanted to love this place!! The experience started great when I called in for our party of 7, and they saved a table for us to be seated right away. We came around 5:50pm and had a reservation for a paint & sip experience close by at 7pm so we thought 1hr would be enough for a quick drink and meal. Unfortunately we were wrong :( The drinkies were actually soo yummy. The apple cider mule looked like it was the drink of the day and half of our party even ordered it. Definitely worth the hype. We also got the artichoke jalapeno dip for the table and we DEVOURED it. So yummy and got us excited for our meals. But.... 20mins, 30min, 45min, and hr went by and still no food :( even a neighboring table left early bc they were taking a bit long. I do understand they were busy this day but I think this shouldnt be something they havent experienced before. Waiting 1hr for ur food is also too long in my opinion. We tried to give it a chance. Around 6:40 we asked for our food he said it was getting plated. We then said "great, can we also have the check please so we can pay and eat quickly so we can leave right away?" He says sure! and brings the check at 6:52 with no food :'( Unfortunately we had to leave and cancel the rest of the meal but judging by the apps and drinkies we knew the entrees wouldve been good. Maybe i'll come here on a slow day next time and try again.

Yelp
I have to admit, the name made me do a double take. But the service, food, and vibes were wonderful. I had the deviled eggs (YUM), grilled cheese and tomato bisque (DOUBLE YUM) with a few friends for one of their birthdays. It was a lovely time, and they had no issue with us lingering to enjoy each other's company for quite awhile. One minor drawback that I won't hold against them is parking. It's rough on a Saturday and if you're sensitive to heat or have mobility issues, it can be a bit of a challenge finding a spot nearby.

Yelp
Beautifully decorated bar with great food options. I got the fish tacos and they were huge! Fish was fried to perfection and topped with pico, pineapples, avocado and a chipotle aioli. The garlic fries were OK, nothing special. The smoked brisket plate was super tender and for $35 you get a pretty large portion. Servers were attentive however they took our food away after we asked for to go box. It felt like they were in a rush to clear us out.

Yelp
Sons of Liberty is a fun alehouse. Everything we had was excellent and nicely priced. The bar area will handle a good sized party with three televisions perched above a wall of bottles. The artichoke and jalapeño dip was a great starter. Next time we will see if they have veggies they can substitute for the nice bread. The server assured us the Jalapeño was mild and was there for flavor. He was right The chicken pot pie was prepared excellently. The dish was hot and it appears it was finished to order. The dish contained plenty of chicken. We got the beet salad with dressing on the side so we could lightly mix a small amount since we prefer salads lightly coated not swimming in oil and other herbs. There is plenty of outside tables on the side and front. Overall a pleasant experience. We will be back.

Yelp
Do you like comfort food? Sons of Liberty will satisfy your craving! Party of 8, we all enjoyed our selection from juicy hamburgers, Fried chicken sandwiches to tasty brisket. Service was great as well as the atmosphere. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for great tasting comfort food!

Yelp
Sons of Liberty Alehouse - Perfect for a Night Out Delicious food, top-notch service, and a warm, intimate vibe that's perfect for date night. There's no internet service, but honestly, that's a blessing -- it lets you fully unplug and be present. A great spot to connect over great food and drinks!

Yelp
Had a great meal today at Sons of Liberty Alehouse in downtown Livermore with my bestie. Service was solid--even though it was busy, our server Trevor did a great job checking in and keeping things moving. I had the chilaquiles, and they were so good--perfect level of spice, plenty of sauce, and fresh ingredients. The beans were a nice touch too. My bestie ordered the loco moco, which I know was good because I shamelessly ate her leftovers. (Yes, I finished my own plate and then hers. No regrets. Okay, maybe a little.) Portions were generous, food came out hot, and everything tasted fresh. The mimosa wasn't mind-blowing but it did the trick. And if you go, do yourself a favor and try the millionaire bacon. Just trust me. Will definitely be back--ideally with more self-control.

Yelp
Sons of Liberty Alehouse is a hidden gem in downtown Livermore! As a fish n' chips fanatic, I've been searching for a place whenever I'm in the Tri-Valley area. I finally found it, here! I made reservations through Yelp when I met with a client up in Livermore. We started out with a blackberry mojito, the artichoke and jalapeño dip with baguette slices. It's served on a hot cast iron mini skillet with an artichoke heart on top. The dip was rich, creamy, and temperature hot. I should have asked for more bread or tortilla chips to finish the dip. We both ordered the fish n chips which was amazing and well worth the $23. You get two big pieces of flaky wild Alaskan cod fried in an IPA beer batter. The crust was light and crisp. The lemon caper homemade tartar sauce was perfect with the fish, I had to ask for extra. I upgraded to their garlic fries which came with a generous amount of garlic. I also ordered a guava mojito which was just as refreshing as the blackberry one I had before dinner. The restaurant had a great vibe to it with their wood plank walls. The bar was well-stocked with an extensive whiskey, bourbon, tequila, gin, Mezcal list. If you can't find street parking, I recommend the free parking garage on Railroad Ave between First Street and Livermore Avenue. It's only a 2 block walk through the Bankhead Plaza.

Yelp
We wanted to try this place out based on recommendations from friends. We were lucky to get seated right away as a walk ins for a party of 4 as this place is usually very busy. The restaurant was clean, with a friendly, casual atmosphere. The bar was well stocked and the decor was classic with tufted leather seating along the wall and mirrors with the drinks and their ingredients beautifully scrawled on them. The server who took care of us was amazing! Being our first time, she gave us great recommendations which did not disappoint. Please pictures below. The drinks and apps were on point. We had generous portion of brisket - I appreciated the sauce not overpowering the meat (I tend to ask for sauce on the side so I can taste the meat by itself but forgot this time). The mash was tasty - not spicy, and the cornbread was perfect!! Not too sweet, but moist and delicious! The duck and battered fish tacos were a hit - again generous portions. We were also greeted by the manager who was welcoming and clearly took pride in ensuring both the food/drink and atmosphere was a wonderful experience for all. We were happy and stuffed by the end of our meal and we look forward to returning for their brunch next time!

Yelp
Such a cute spot with a great atmosphere! I had the fish and chips and they were honestly some of the best I've ever had crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the brisket and couldn't stop raving about it. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and served with a smile. We'll definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Taylor G.

Yelp
Such a disappointing experience here and I had such high hopes! The only good thing was the poutine and even that was lacking! There were about 3-5 cheese curds and they were all hidden in the middle! Brisket tacos oily and the meat was absolutely disgusting. It was dry and only had fatty pieces. The namesake burger was $23 and basic!! It came burnt and was seriously disappointing for a $23 burger.

Yelp
Good service Ample food Highlights - rib appetizer Main course - fish and chips, Caesar salad, brisket Clean Can get crowded quickly with limited seating. Make reservations, especially with larger groups. Large whiskey selections if you're into that. Can get real pricey quickly.

Yelp
We came here for early dinner around 5, right before the dinner rush. Great service and great atmosphere; the Livermore Sons of Liberty has a classier touch than the Alehouse in San Leandro. We ordered signature dishes su ch as the brisket barbecue platter which is only sold at that location - it came with two large slabs of brisket, surprisingly tasty and unusual jalapeño mashed potatoes (surprisingly not spicy), a corn bread, and baked beans with pork. We also ordered the mac and cheese appetizer to share - a perfect savory treat to split three ways. The wedge salad with grilled shrimp was well-portioned and came with bits of bacon and blue cheese dressing. We got a round of drinks as well - I ordered a guava margarita which I enjoyed. My friend ordered a lavender gin drink which was overly floral. Overall, I would recommend coming again and making a dinner reservation if you are coming after 6.

Yelp
Cheer yee, cheer yee! My Dad, pup, and I had a splendid time at the Sons of Liberty! After a busy and quite hot workday, we were looking for a dog-friendly place to dine for dinner. My Dad had wanted to eat here, so it all worked out. Reservations are available through Yelp, but we chose to walk in. Since we came with my puppy, we sat at their small but cute outdoor patio. There are several tables outdoors, making eating in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. The dining area inside is also excellent; it looks very comfortable and low-key. All of the interactions with staff were friendly and helpful. Our food came out efficiently, and we were checked on throughout the night. With the number of alehouses in Livermore, the American fare can get tiring, but not here! Aside from having traditional American food like burgers and sandwiches, they also serve various innovative dishes. I got the Duck Carnitas Tacos (no cheese), which were phenomenal. I didn't know what to expect, but everything was superb--the portion was massive with a lot of meat, the duck was well flavored and creamy from that tasty sauce, plus it had an excellent quick with the jalapeño! I could eat these endlessly. My Dad had their Maui Wowie IPA Beer Battered Fish and Chips. I had a bite, which was so lightly battered that it was airy. The fish was mild and tender, and the upgraded garlic fries were a chef's kiss. There are plenty of noteworthy places to dine at on First Street, and Sons of Liberty Alehouse is one of them! I'd come back again in a heartbeat with my Dad and pup anytime. Given their location off First Street, we chose to park in the nearby free parking garage.

Yelp
We got to this SOLA branch right at opening time but still could not get a good seating inside , so we chose the the side patio, which was quiet and away from the main dining area and bar. But it did not matter. Service by Bee and other wait staff was prompt and courteous which made the experience all the more wonderful. This is what we ordered : 1. A glass of Orange and Peach Bellini each - both stiff and yet so delicious. 2. Poutine - we shared it between us both and ate to our hearts content and yet had a huge amount that we took away to have the next day. Super Crispy hand cut Fries, extra creamy Sonoma cheese curd and that "to die for" House Beef Gravy made the first experience of ours of this Canadian dish a most memorable one! We will come back just for this! 3. Chorizo and Yukon Potato Hash- Hobb's Chorizo, Sweet Yellow Corn, Caramelized Onion & Peppers, Pickled Fresno Chiles, Avocado Lime Crema, Green Onion, Cilantro with 2 perfectly Poached Eggs (gf). Wife loved it! Again portion was huge and some of it was taken home for a mini meal later in the day! 4. Eggs Benedict- Wingen Bakery Sourdough English Muffin, Hobb's Canadian Bacon(removed), 2 perfectly Poached Eggs, Hollandaise, Chives, Brunch Potatoes. I enjoyed every bit of this! Next time will have it with the bacon ! 5 . We also ordered a side of Housemade Breakfast Pork Sausage Patties. This was a find! So flavorful so tasty, it was gone in a jiffy! Overall we found this place a very good value for money. We will be back sooner than you think!

Yelp
Bit of a long wait for the server to take our order and awhile for it to come out (probably like 30 min) and it wasn't that packed. But the food was really good including the dip. Pretty pricey though. Solid overall though

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place. We got seated outside at 6pm on a Saturday, but the service was extremely slow. It took around 35 mins for us to get our appetizer...and much longer for the entrees. As few others have noted, maybe they were short staffed but I would rather you put us on a waitlist than seat us waiting around for food. The food was okay. The artichoke and jalepeno dip was really good, so was the shrimp piccata. We also tried the fish and chips and chicken sandwich. The fries were great but the fish and chicken seasoning could be better. Overall good place if you want to grab some drinks and don't mind the wait.

Yelp
Came by for lunch on a Sunday after wine tasting and, even though we stuck to small dishes, the experience was perfect. Our party of 6 came with no reservations and were sat rather quickly. The staff was welcoming and knew the menu really well. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, poutine w/ duck, Mac and cheese, and artichoke and jalapeño dip. It was the perfect post-wine tasting meal. Exactly what we needed. I can't wait to come back for a full meal and experience all that Sons of Liberty Alehouse has to offer.

Yelp
Wish I had pictures to share but we were starving! This place is a hidden gem. First time trying this place. We didn't have a reservation but we did get seated at a large communal table, which had a couple on the other side but did not feel like we were sitting together. The inside decor is so cute and charming. In the summer they have outdoor seating. I look forward to coming back for that! We all ordered the blood orange margarita and it was made fresh to order, you could taste it. There was no sugary syrup taste that so many places have. Probably the best margarita I've had in a long time! We ordered everything as sharable: - artichoke dip with jalapeños and sliced baguette - Brussels sprouts - Mac n cheese with roasted jalapeños (definitely do that if you like spicy flavor) - chicken pot pie - grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup Everything was absolutely delicious! There was not a dish we didn't all enjoy. I don't think you can go wrong with this place! It's great for a girls night, date, and family friendly. Vibes were fun, friendly waitstaff, great food and drinks!

Yelp
I enjoy coming to Sons of Liberty. If you're going on an expected busy evening like Friday or Saturday, it's best to get a reservation. The food is good, but selection is very limited. It would be nice to see at least one more beef and chicken option on the menu.

Yelp
Wonderful food and drink! Everyone was so attentive to our needs... daughter just had emergency laser surgery in one eye for a detached retina at Stanford with Bayer Eye. So, she couldn't read a menu, was in pain. But arriving at 4pm we were seated without a reservation. Everyone was gracious, she mediated with libations, wonderful fish tacos and the designated driver had the awesome tomato bisque and grilled cheese. Horrid rainy night, but we made it home to Sonora safe and sound... talking all the way of what we want to try next after the next appointment!! Thank you again!!

Yelp
Definitely coming back! The food was delicious, the ambience is cool and the service was excellent. We ordered: - Crispy ribs: must try! Sweet, crispy and tender - Artichoke dip: nice kick from the jalapeños but not too spicy. The fried artichoke on top was a nice touch - Fried chicken sandwich: the bread was soooo good. A really good sandwich. -Fish Tacos: so much flavor! And sauce, a bit messy but so worth it. Loved the pickled onions. Would definitely come back and I definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
We came here on a Friday night and it was busy, it was early too 6:30pm. We asked to be seated outside and they gave us a heating lamp. Service was slow maybe because they were short staff but we understood. I ordered the Blitzen an IPA and it was crisp and refreshing. Then we ordered the cheeseburger and fries. The we're tasty and the burger was juicy, a safe and must order if you're not sure what to eat. I would love to come back and sit inside to appreciate the ambiance.

Yelp
My recent visit to Sons of Liberty for a birthday party was an absolute delight, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, perfect for a special occasion.service was awesome. The cocktails were truly awesome - expertly crafted, creative, and absolutely delicious. Each drink felt like a work of art, and they certainly set a festive tone for the celebration. We also thoroughly enjoyed the appetizers, which were incredibly tasty and a great start to our meal. Sons of Liberty provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable birthday gathering. If you're looking for a place with fantastic drinks, great food, and a wonderful ambiance for any occasion, especially a celebration, look no further!

Yelp
This is a hidden gem downtown Livermore. Ambiance is lively with a great 80's playlist! It has a clean, neat vibe. The service was impeccable. Our server offered suggestions and was very attentive. The menu is upscale bar food aka great selection of starters, salads, and sandwiches, and the drink selection is massive with tons of top shelf liquor choices and crafted cocktails. I might add that ingredients are locally sourced. Our party of 4 ordered blood orange margaritas and apple cider Moscow mules. Both were perfectly mixed and perfectly refreshing. (We'd love to have the recipe for the mules!) Our entree choices included fish and chips, prime rib sandwich with Parmesan garlic fries and grilled cheese with tomato basil soup. Each of us remarked that our selection was the best and all agreed that this one of the tastiest meals ever. Thank you SOLA! We cannot wait to return.

Yelp
Sons of Liberty is SO good! My mom loves this place and insisted we do brunch here, and now every time I visit, we go here lol. They have amazing food, and a very diverse menu. There is something here for everyone! I've tried the Wedge Salad, which was pretty good. I think I would ask for the dressing on the side in the future because it was swimming in bleu cheese! Some may like that, but I like to add it myself lol. It was still tasty! If you go for brunch, the Chicken and Waffles does NOT disappoint. Not as healthy as the salad of course, but delicious! It comes with a delicious, creamy syrup-like sauce that is wonderful and has a rich texture. The waffle is also amazing, not too sweet and compliments the chicken really well. My mom loves the burger and so does my husband - it's HUGE! And you get so many fries with it. Definitely worth coming here!

Yelp
where do I start so we had a confirmed reservation at 6:30 I got a call an hour before my reservation if we can come in at six, whoever I spoke to I told them we can try, but there's no guarantee. They told me they booked another reservation at 8 o'clock, which was clearly not my problem or fault. so half the party showed up 6:30 the other half showed up at 6:44. 8 o'clock comes around and they told us we had to leave because the 8 o'clock reservation had arrived. Our bill was literally 500 bucks you would think the least they can do is not rush us. sounds like they definitely overbooked. not to mention the waitress was taking drink orders at 7:50 most of us had to down our drinks and some of us just left it there. We Will Not Be Back !!!!!!! I've never been to a restaurant where they literally rushed us out

Yelp
Let me start by saying that I didn't get any good pics BECAUSE I went with my family who was visiting from the UK who can't understand why anyone would take pics of their food. With that being said I probably wouldn't have been able to take pictures of theirs because they scarfed it down! My niece ordered the mushroom pasta, I had the beet salad and we also had a burger and grilled cheese on the table. The portion size is great and you may have some left overs for a yummy snack at home. Now for the atmosphere. I did go on a Thursday and the crowd was older but still it was packed. I was drawn because it I kept hearing about this hot new spot! The service was on par and the cocktails(blood orange margarita and the espresso martini) pretty good. I want to come back on the weekend. I'm really big on athletics but that's just me. Even more than aesthetics however is good food and drinks and they didn't miss the mark! I encourage you to always check out your local eateries for some hidden gems. If you're in Livermore add Sons of Liberty to your list!

Yelp
Well done food, drinks & service in a fun atmosphere. Not a quiet place but a fun hang! Sat at the bar and watched the staff. It was more entertaining than the games on the screens.
