I got beef bulgois and cold noodle. There is barely meat in the bulgois and it make kinda depressed after ordering it. Cold noodle is just cold noodle some sour pairing. The fish tofu soap don’t have any taste to it and only has 3 skewers.. Also make me depressed after eating. Also relatively expensive. I should went to 88 beef noodle to feel more satisfied. But if you love Korean food it should okay. Also restroom is inside the kitchen. Make you feel a bit embrassing to ask go inside the kitchen to use the restroom. There is only one staff outside so it takes a while to get check when it not empty. Overall the experience make me kinda sad for the price I payed. The music is louder than usual. But if you like kpop it is good I guess

I had stopped by when they had their grand opening in 2021, but didn't get to order since they were out of what I wanted. They were set up as a pick up and to-go spot, and given the very small parking lot to jostle for a spot, I didn't return until my friend suggested catching up at Soonheene for dinner. They now have several tables for dine in and I was super happy to see that they used bowls and plates for your order if you dine in (though they use disposable utensils when bringing you your order). They also have a self-service area for iced water and iced barley tea and they use metal cups! Yay! I came on a weekday at 6 pm and there was a lull as there was no wait. As it got closer to 6:30 pm - 7 pm, all the tables filled up! Lots of orders coming in for pick-up though, so if you don't want to wait for a table, order to go. Since it's my first time here, I got almost everything, haha! The order included: * shrimp mung bean pancake ($14.99) * #15 combo of rose tteokbokki and mayak gimbap ($23.99) * oden fish cake soup ($9.99) * 5 pc wings soy garlic ($8.99) * diet coke with Yelp check-in If not for the Yelp check-in offer, I would've placed the order on their self-service kiosk. Luckily, since we beat the rush, the food came out at a consistent pace. I had really wanted the mayak gimbap and the fish cake soup but since there was no combo for both, price-wise it made sense to do the combo with the rose tteokbokki. And it is heavenly to get all three! The mayak gimbap comes with a dipping sauce, but it's just as good if not better to dip it in the tteokbokki. If you don't want the usual spice of regular tteokbokki, the rose tteokbokki has been my go-to instead as it has the hint of spice without the usual burn. Soonheene's tteokbokki had very generous amounts of fish cake and sausage suporting the rice cakes, so it's my favorite iteration of this dish thus far. The oden fish cake soup came with three skewers of fish cake and fish cake tofu in a bowl of hot yummy soup and that was pretty solid. I've never had anything like the mung bean pancake and it was good to have a protein in it for additional texture and flavor. It's best eaten when hot and crisp, otherwise, it's a bit dense the next day. The soy garlic wings were crisp and hot and full of flavor. Obviously, the order was enough for two people to get a variety of options, but that did leave no room for some sides nor dessert. Maybe some gimmari and taiyaki next time!

My wife and I are crazy about Korean fried chicken. Which this place opened near our favorite mochinut place, we knew we would have to check it out - and we were not disappointed! This place definitely ranks in the top two fried chicken places we've been to! We had a whole chicken - half original and half with their special Onion sauce (slices of onion with an onion mayo dressing). The flavor of the chicken was delicious, flavorful, and was nicely crispy! We also had their Rose Tteokbokki and Mayak Gimbap. The Mayak was really nice! The Rose Tteokbokki was absolutely delicious! Everything here is really good. Do know that the service was a little slow, but only because everything is made fresh to order. It's very much worth the wait!

Soonheene is one of those blink-and-you'll-miss-it spots in an unassuming strip mall, and their wings have quietly become a regular in our takeout rotation. We've only ever ordered them to-go and they've always arrived hot, super crispy, and fresh even after a 20-30 minute drive, which makes eating them straight out of the kitchen feel long overdue and I can't wait to finally stop in.

Not a lot of places do Korean Street food, so this is definitely unique! The physical space is small and the parking lot of also small, so good luck! Seat yourself after ordering at the counter. Water is also self serve. Disposable utensils and napkins are at the tables. Service was very fast and portions are fair. The tteokbokki is nice and chewy. The fried chicken is probably the highlight of the menu, it was super tasty and crunchy! The gimbap was my favorite, the best I've had in a long time.

Got wings with hot and spicy sauce. And boneless chicken with yangnyum. They were so good. The chicken was so crispy and juicy!! Price was reasonable too. They also have Korean street food inside, so we got pork meatball as well. I absolutely love this little neighborhood joint!

Awesome fried chicken spot and tteokbokki! Soy garlic wings are always super tasty with the right amount of sweet and savory with crunch. The rose tteokbokki is also very flavorful with large soft chewy rice cakes and sausages. Spicy pork and the pork belly set were also amazing. Both were cooked to perfection and the sauce/sides coming with it were also really good. Would really recommend trying out!

We were able to find parking right away. When you enter the restaurant, the staff greets you right away and mentions to take any table. We used the restroom by going through the kitchen. Both the kitchen and restroom were super clean. Soonheene offers the typical Korean street food. The staff recommended the fried chicken wings with soy garlic and honey butter. Both of the flavors were delicious. We also ordered tteokbooki, mayak gimbap, bbq beef, and sweet rice drink. When we come back, we will order the chicken wings with soy garlic, mayak gimbap, sweet rice drink, and try out the taiyaki.

Food was tasty. Ordered Tteokbokki stir-fried rice cake - its a sweet tasty taste. Wish they had an option to make it spicy. Added ramen, mozzarella cheese and sausage Dumpling : wasn't a fan of it but my friend liked it Bbq Beef : was very good

We ordered the Mayak Gimbap, Rose Teokbokki, Honey Butter, the Sauce mixed and the Spicy Chicken. I love this place and make it a point to stop here anytime I'm in LA. I live in the Bay Area and haven't yet to find a place that comes close to it! The staff was nice and the location is difficult to park in but had plenty of seating inside!

Solid local spot for Korean street food vibes. The SGV lacks in Korean food, so I'm glad this gives another option to pick from. I really liked the gimbap. To me, it had the right amount of seasoning and perfect for sharing or just having all to yourself! We also ordered the rose ttebbokki, which the staff member said it wasn't spicy. I'm someone with terrible spice tolerance and there was definitely a slight kick to this. Not crazy spicy but you'll notice it right away if you have a low spice tolerance like me. Otherwise I enjoy the mix of not only the rice cakes but also the fish cakes and sausage in here. The sweet rice drink was also the right amount of sugar. But I'm a fan overall! The hours are also great if you just want a midday kind of snack with a place that has seating. No bathroom in here though.

First time here and it was really good. Me and my friend shared the food and it was perfect for two people. It wasn't too spicy. I wish it was a little spicy or has different levels to choose from. Checked in and got a free soft drinks which was nice! The service was good and she communicated our food would be out in 15-20 minutes. The restaurant itself was very clean and had enough tables for us to sit at.

Delicious Korean street food restaurant! I must preface this review with the fact that this plaza has one of the worst parking situations known to mankind. So many businesses and restaurants in such a small plaza and no parking whatsoever. Just park across the street and walk because it was super difficult to drive around and not worth the stress of even attempting. You can order at their kiosk and the buzzer will ring when your food is ready. It's semi-self-serve where you can help yourself to the water and tea (if they didn't run out) and you place all of your dirty plates and silverware on a cart near the exit. Since we were going to have dinner later on, we just got the Rose Tteokbokki. Super big serving that is more than enough for 2 people and it came out super piping hot! The Rose Tteokbokki was nice and creamy and not too spicy, nice tomato flavoring to it too. There was a generous amount of rice cake, fish cake, hot dog wieners, and some other meats (small slices of ham and Spam, I believe), as well as cabbage too. Good stuff. I wish there was one closer to me so I can order take out and try more of their menu!

Not many places can make everything at such high quality and flavor, but this place is the one! Their consistency in everything and customer service is beyond any other place. Not only is everything delicious, but you're going to be wanting it more right after eating. At this point, I've tried most of the menu items and there hasn't been a single bad item. Everything is fantastic. Rose tteokbokki is still one of mine and seems like every customer's favorite but give the Donkatsu a try as well. For the price, you get so many items at a cheap price and the donkatsu itself is crispy, sweet, succulent, and a 10/10. I'm surprised this restaurant doesn't have more reviews as it's literally a hidden gem. Come give this spot a try, you'll be happy with anything you order!

Everything was delicious! I especially loved the fish cake soup. The original chicken wings could have used a bit more ummmphhh but overall as a complete meal it made up for the lack of it. Would definitely order again!

Solid restaurant. Good Korean eats. Good service and clean tables. If you're looking for Korean overload, then check this place out. We ordered the lil kimbaps, pork belly, and chicken wings. Very tasty all around.

Check in on yelp for their free soft drink! They no longer have Milk Shaved Ice on their menu sadly. Parking: There's a small parking lot dedicated to 1-4 stores in the small plaza so most people just park on the side streets. It's hard to find parking even on the side streets so it'll take awhile. Service: A self serve place! Interior is mostly styled like a restaurant, but service is like a cafeteria. Order at with the cashier then find a open table. Once your food is ready, just pick up. Grab your water and cup at the water station. Mung Bean Pancake: Pancake was on the crispier side, texture tastes a little bit harder compared to a normal Korean pancake. Mung bean powder is drier than all purpose flour so the pancake is not usually chewy. Korean Fried Chicken (5 pieces, soy garlic): Their chicken is nicely dipped in sweet and savory, fried freshly and so crispy. Would highly recommend getting this dish. Oden Fish cake soup: Comes with three sticks kabobbed with fish cake, fish cube, and fish cake. Lightly soaked in light oden soup. Perfect to get on a chilly day.

This spot is so delicious! This is a small shop that sells fried chicken (with so much flavor) and snacks! Everything is mostly self service besides ordering. Food: good! I LOVE their fried chicken and tteobokki with ramen. The garlic soy sauce on the chicken was so mouth watering and the tteobokki was addicting. Ambiance: good! It was a good place to hang with friends and just catch up. I would come back here for catch ups!

I have been here twice and I feel it was better the first time around. I ordered pretty much the same thing both times. The only nice thing is that they use actual bowls when serving their dish when eating dine in. We got the whole chicken, since we can pick 2 different flavor. They cut their chicken in small pieces and it has a nice batter. I kinda wish they put a bit more sauce since it looks like they just drizzle than toss their sauce. And some chicken is dry inside. The tteokboki and the fish cake soup are very good. Pricey for the fish cake soup, since those are very cheap ingredient.Besides that very good flavor. Inside they have around 6 or 7 small tables and you clear up the table yourself after you're done.

Tried their soondae sampler promotion. Soondae is sticky rice noodles cooked in pig blood stuffed in sausage skin. Not the tastiest actually. Seaweed wrapped deep-fry gimmari was quite delicious. The dumplings are just standard. Worth a try if you are new to Korean Street food.

Simple ordering choices. My favorite combo is #15 rose tteokboki (cheese tamps down spiciness) and Mayak kimbap (love the tart mustard sauce). I've also tried the oden and mung bean pancake. I've yet to try the "neighboring" fried chicken. Tip: These are perfect, satisfying snacks. The mayak kimbap travel well! I was so glad that I ordered 2 for hubby and myself for one of our recent flights (consolidates well into one box).

Came here on Wednesday for dinner and it was quite empty. Style is a bit different, you order at the register or kiosk and pickup food also in the front. Majority is self service from the drinks to picking up utensils. They don't ask for tip when paying and food comes out quite fast. In terms of the food I really enjoyed what I got. I had the combo that came with these 3 items. Mayak Gimbap - Rice was moist and the wasabi type sauce it came with was tasty. I enjoyed it. (4.5/5) Tteokbokki - A simple classic with good flavors. Not spicy at all and came with fish cakes. It's basic but it's good. Tons of carbs! (4/5) Oden - Was super comforting. Broth had good flavor and the fish cake was delicious. Another pretty simple dish but is pretty comfort food. (4/5) If you do a yelp checkin you also get a free soda which I got a Diet Coke. Enjoyed the food here and service was great, the lady behind the counter was super nice and helpful. Plenty of parking at night though it does share with a lot of nearby stores so not sure how it is in the morning. Would be back when I'm getting this Korean street food type cravings.

Third time coming in and I'm finally writing a review! First of all, parking in this plaza is a total nightmare. Luckily there's some parking on the sides streets, do yourself a favor and go for those first. The first two times I came in I got the boneless chicken, third visit I got bone-in. The chicken is absolutely phenomenal! Juicy, moist, crunchy, everything you want from Korean fried chicken. I've tried several of the sauces and they are flavorful, especially the ones labeled "spicy," they're not joking. I've also gotten the fries which are delicious and well seasoned, and the daikon which is nice and sweet and goes perfectly with the spicy foods they offer. My complaints about the chicken are 1. they could be a lot saucier, they really skimp on the sauce. And 2. I really don't like the scaling of price when choosing multiple flavors. You can get 10 wings 1 flavor for $15.99 but if you want 2 different flavors you have to order 5 wings and 5 wings separately equaling $17.98 for the same amount of food, seems really silly to me. I don't understand why you can't just choose 2 flavors. I know this is common practice, bb.q does it the same way but it's always going to be a draw back and minus 1 star for me. The staff has been nice every time I've come in, friendly and attentive. My most recent trip they were very busy and there's just one person working the counter, she was working very hard and making sure everyone was well taken care of. I will definitely keep coming back to this location, it's some of the best Korean chicken I've had in the area. I hope they adjust how they do their sauces in the future, that would definitely make me come in way more often.

Fantastic little quick service neighborhood joint. Service is straightforward, get your own water and utensils. Bus your own used tableware to the corner. Very homey vibe and focus on churning out good food! Fried chicken was surprisingly crispy and the one-chili-pepper sign was more like a 3 pepper for me (my lips were on fire!) but for my bf was accurate 1 chili pepper. Pork Belly came sizzling hot and hits the spot!

The food was good and the service was nice. Even though there was only 1 server/cashier, she was friendly and engaging. The food came out fresh. We ordered a few dishes. BY far, our favorite was the fried chicken wings. They came out super crispy. Each bite was a good crunch. The inside was still juicy, too. I ended up getting a dry rub but I'm sure the wings with sauce would be pretty tasty, too. The pancake was also pretty good and crunchy as well. If I had any criticism, it's that they only a bathroom in the back. It's not really meant for customers to use. To get there, you'd have to go through the kitchen. So it's pretty clear that it's for the staff. They did let us use it, though. So I'm pretty grateful. That being said, to get there, it felt like I had a mini tour of the place. Everything looked pretty clean and organized even on the kitchen side. The food was really good. I'd come here again. I don't think it's such a kid friendly place, more like a hip dating spot. Or a place to go if you have have some hunger and want to be spontaneous. My kids did enjoy coming here, I just think it's more suitable for teenagers and up.

FOOD: It wasn't bad, but I think there are other Korean fried chicken places I enjoy more. - We ordered the Boneless Wings ($20.99) in two flavors: Spicy Soy & Honey Butter. The Spicy Soy was the perfect level of spice and complimented the sweet dry rub of the Honey Butter flavor. However, the fried chicken pieces were quite small with a bit too much batter. - The Seafood Shrimp Pancake ($14.99) was okay - I wish there was more seafood because it only had one shrimp per slice, and it was a bit too greasy. - Mayak gimbap ($8.99) was standard. I prefer gimbaps with meat inside so I probably wouldn't order it again, but the wasabi sauce we came with was yummy. SERVICE/AMBIANCE: This spot is located in a plaza was extremely limited parking, so you will most likely need to find off street parking. The restaurant is small, but we didn't have to wait for a weekday lunch. You place your order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. There is no restroom available for use here. OVERALL: I am not sure if I would come back, maybe if I am randomly craving it one day. It's maybe worth trying if you ever want a quick snack to munch on.

Hold onto your tastebuds folks, because Soonheene is a flavor Rollercoaster you won't want to miss. The vibe? Think cozy-meets-delicious: a small restaurant with friendly staff that make you hot & tasty Korean staple dishes. My friend and I shared the Mayak Gimbap, Ttekbokki, and Taiyaki. Sweet red bean dreams because I've found my happy place in a dessert. The crispy, golden exterior with a gooey red bean filling is like hugging your favorite teddy bear. One bite of this little cute fish-shaped wonder and I was melted away in sweetness! The Mayak Gimbap and Ttekbokki got more delicious the more of it you ate. Now, note we ate this on a hot summer day, and still no regrets. It was more of a "can't stop eating this" kind of delicious. Both of these dishes were made perfectly and I definitely want to try making more Korean food at home! So, if you're ready for a flavor journey had a great deal (because all of this was less than $25 and a steal), March your hungry self to Soonheene. They will take great care of you. As for me, I'm already planning my next visit, I hear the Taiyaki calling my name!

I've been here many times and always been satisfied with their food and service, but this is my first time reviewing for this place. My daughter and I ate here several times and when she's away and when I crave their food, I usually have a take-out, such as today. Jarvis, I think that was his name, at the counter was friendly, accommodating and gave a great customer service. I phone ordered then went to pick up my order. I had ordered the regular tteokbokki, soy-garlic chicken which came with a side of pickled radish and I got their rice punch drink. This is a Korean traditional drink that's supposed to aid in digestion. Not a lot of restaurants offer it because it's time-consuming to make. Everything was packaged well and the temperature was perfect!! Of course, I'll be back because of their great customer service, fresh ingredients, and good price.

We stopped in a week ago while in town for just an hour. Cute little spot with great food and flavors. If you have never been here before I suggest you look at the menus before you come. So many good things on the menu. We had the bbq pork dish and another pork dish with rice. Both were amazing. If we lived closer we would be here all the time. The service was great and the restaurant was very clean. This place also gets an extra star for having complimentary tea. What a great touch!

Soonheene, which took over the old Taipan Bakery location, can be found in the same plaza as Mochinut and Chung Chung with parking available (although can be limited if you come when the plaza is busy). My husband and I came by this small eatery this past Friday, around 7:30 pm. After looking over the menu, we ended up ordering the following to go: Seafood (Shrimp) Mung Bean Pancake, $14.99 prior to tax- Although this is a seafood pancake, there is only shrimp and not an assortment of seafood. I still liked this pancake but it was pretty oily (which is to be expected). Boneless Chicken, $11.99 prior to tax. Shown with Honey Butter flavor (dry seasoning)- The chicken was the main star of our meal. The flavor of the honey butter was really good and thought the portion size was perfect to share with 2- 3 people. Taiyaki, 4 for $10 prior to tax- The flavors I ended up picking were 2 Nutella, one cheese and one red bean. I tried both the cheese and the red bean. I think the cheese one was just okay but the red bean ended up being my favorite. My mom liked the Nutella one. Taiyaki really is best consumed when made but you can also just as easily reheat it in the toaster oven (like I did the day after I ordered this) and still taste just as good. ------------------------- (Total= $40.77 after tax) Wait time was closer to 20 minutes after ordering (but understandable since my order was made fresh). One thing I didn't like was that there was no restroom available for use. The employee who took my order told me that the restroom was blocked, which I didn't understand and said that I couldn't use the restroom. I am not sure if this was just a fluke or if they normally do not allow customers to use their restroom. I think the prices are a little high but I think that seems to be the going price for Korean street food. I would like to come back to try their gimbap and fish cake soup. Please note that the current Yelp check in offer right now for this business is a free drink or shaved ice (in which I forgot to redeem although I did check in when I came in).

Soonheene is my go to for mayak gimbap and rose tteokbokki!!! They are both always so amazing. The service is really good too. Today I decided to try the kimchi fried rice and i was blown away with how delicious it was. They give so much kimchi and the portion is huge!! I highly recommend. I will definitely order the rice again along with the gimbap and tteokbokki.

I came here during the 4th of July and was so happy they were open! Although the interior says twozone, this place gives me mom and pop shop vibes! We came here starving and flustered on what to order. We opted for 2 of the 10 pc wings. Soy garlic was delicious and had the perfect amount of sauce without being soggy. The soy spice was also delicious, not too hot but had a great kick. We also got the #12 combo. I'm a big fan of tteokbokki and opted in for ramen additional. It was delicious! The mayak kimbap was also delicious. The sauce had a great horseradish kick. Tip: order ahead for to go. We did wait for a little bit as we had a long order. HOWEVER, I got a look at the inside as I went to the restaurant and can vouch that they make everything to order. The kitchen was clean, sanitary, and I could tell that their food is quality. Would come back!

Perfect for a party! Ordered 20pc original and 10pc soy garlic. Both were really good and solid Korean fried chicken for SGV. Definitely recommend calling in to order vs ordering pickup thru Yelp - Calling in the same order saved me $15 ($48 vs $63)

Ordered delivery 2 times and finally got to dine in the third time. The store is part of a plaza w/ parking lot. Very cute and small, the food always hits the spot. My top favorite dishes are : 1. Rose rice cakes 2. Mung bean pancake 3. Gimmarri (side) I've tried their chicken & fish cake soup and those are delicious also. But I can't help to always order the rose rice cakes! This time I ordered their taiyaki (fish shape pancake dessert) and they cook it to perfection, the crispy is on point and it has a wonderful chew, I think it might be mochi texture. They only have 3 flavors: red bean, cheese (savory) & chocolate. I didn't see a visible restroom, but I asked the worker and they said I could go through the kitchen and use it, it was a bit awkward to do that. But I rather have an option to use the restroom which was great because I couldn't hold it.

First time and came at 7pm for a late dinner. Didn't realize they close at 8:30pm so glad we got here at 7. Wasn't full at first, we have a group of 6 so most tables were 2-4 a table so we had to put two tables together. The hostess was nice to help us make the table of 6. As soon as we sit down, more people came in and the place was filled! We ordered the combo Rose and Gimbap, 3 flavors boneless (soy garlic, honey butter, and onion), and pork belly with kimchi. The rose tteokbokki was AMAZING, not too spicy and the sauce was so good we put it on chicken and drank it straight. We ordered a second one, it has rice cakes, sausage, fish cake, and bacon pieces. The gimbap was good as well, came with a dipping sauce which was nice and savory. The pork belly came on a hot stone dish, hot and savory. The kimchi, garlic chips, and samjang matches it well! The boneless chicken really made an impression. Soy garlic is savory and spicy. Honey butter was a powder and sweet and salty. However, the onion sauce (we were unsure if it'll be good so we asked if it can be in a cup-it was still 3.50$) blew our minds. So gooooood, we had to make another order for it! So glad we came, definitely coming again!

We came here to grab a snack while waiting for an event nearby. The service was swift and friendly. There were a lot of scrumptious items on the menu but we went with the rose tteokbokki because I've only tried the regular one but I've only seen these on Instagram so it was fun to finally try. It was as tasty as it looked! I couldn't stop! I'd definitely come back to try other items.

Currently a go to place to eat when I can't think of a place to go. I would say their menu is a bit on the limited side, at least to me, but when I go, I always get the same thing - the mayak gimbap. This place shares a location with a chicken place as well, but the gimbap is specifically what I get from this name. For their gimbap, they only have one option - mayak, which I believe to be fish cake. They are pretty small in size and comes with 8 , if not around that many rolls. Although it may not be beef, their roll taste pretty healthy and light, but good. So if you want like a snack or something, this dish would be perfect. The cashiers have always been friendly and the restaurant itself is kind of small. They have less than ten tables, but it's typically not crowded. Parking lot is also very limited so I always park on the street.

Giving this place 1 star because I got food poisoning after eating here. Another person in my group also got food poisoning :( I am 100% sure the seafood pancake was the culprit. Be wary if you decide to eat here. Sad, because this place has amazing rose tteokbokki Came with a party of 4 total and we ordered: mayak gimbap - 8/10 - they were a little greasy, but overall it was a nice delicate and cute lil wrap. rose tteokbokki 10/10 - delicious!! I love tteokbokki and loved that this one wasn't too spicy and they gave plenty of fish cake! seafood pancake 6/10 - a little dry and a little too greasy. Also, the only seafood in it was 1 shrimp per slice. 20 pieces of wings 6.5/10 - the honey butter was good but the spicy garlic was awful There's no public restroom in this restaurant and parking is not great - most spots are 5 or 30-minute parking only. Prices are OK, I would come back just for the rice cakes. Also, the yelp check-in deal is only for fountain drinks and they don't offer any more shaved ice (sad).

Really wanted to try this place because I was on a hunt for a tteokbokki dish. The parking lot is really small, so I would recommend street parking if possible. We ordered combo #11: Tteokbokki, Mayak, and Oden. The food was good! The place reminded me of the fast food service place, Maragume Udon. The Tteokbokki was the spicy one and it was good! It was not too spicy. The Mayak gimbap and oden were great as well! Great flavor and texture. Overall, I would recommend this place.

Honestly I don't know what the hype is for this place. The chicken is not chicken wings. It pieces of chicken but was disappointing. I know you're thinking you irderedbitnsinyou must know it's not wings. Well I was lucky enough to have friends buy dinner for me while I wasn't feeling well. They are so sweet!! I appreciate them so much. They thought I would enjoy this place. The chicken was okay it wasn't crispy. The soy garlic and spicy soy garlic were both okay. The mini vegetable sushi like rolls were the best thing about the meal. The kim chee fried rice I didn't try but the kids liked it. The mung bean seafood was okay with one shrimp in it. The pork mung bean was better for all of us. This place looks like a lot of money and I don't know if I would go. It was good but I like bb.q chicken much better.

This place is a solid Korean street food restaurant if you're craving Korean food in the SGV area! Having lived near Ktown, it offers pretty great Korean fried chicken and rose tteokbokki. Definitely a great meal to order for takeout if you're trying to have a casual night in, or watch a movie with friends and want something easy to share. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but recommend getting their combo options which are a lot more worth it.

Fast and fresh! Wanted a quick snack after work so I ordered their Gimbap to-go. Loved the sauce that it comes with (tasted like rice vinegar and wasabi). Staff was super friendly and the order came out in less than 5 mins. Will definitely be back to try some other items :)

On a Saturday afternoon in August, my sister and I arrived here to try Korean snacks and boneless wings. The parking lot is small so best to park on the street or next parking lot. When we arrived, there was 2 set of groups waiting for their food. The lady behind the counter was nice and took our order. They had self serve water and tea at the counter. The pork meat ball pancake was soft inside and crispy outside. It was really yummy. The fish cake Oren soup was good with long strips of fish cakes. The boneless fried chicken was fried nicely and soaked in soy garlic. Everything was really good. Nice ambiance of listening to K-pop music while eating and drinking free water and tea.

Quickly satisfied my cravings for Korean Fried Chicken and snacks! First time it was a grand opening in Arcadia location so we got so many free samples. Good chicken at a good price! Next time I will try the pastas as well as other additional items on the menu.

I moved from the SGV to Upland and often come back for Hmart and other errands. This little spot is one of my comfort food faves I go out of my way to visit for kimbap and tteokbokki. So good!!

Cute little spot for Korean street foods! I got the kayak gimbap (Korean style sushi essentially with fish cake) and it came with a wasabi vinaigrette as a dipping sauce. This was soooo tasty and I'm a huge fan! I wanted something light for lunch and this was the perfect snack! Service was great - ordered and got my food in less than a minute. I parked at the 5 minute parking spots and I felt like I didn't even need 5 minutes to pop in. Definitely coming back to try their tteobokki and twozone chicken. The photos look amazing!

This is a great spot for comforting Korean street foods. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty. We ordered the combo that came with the rice cake, fish cake soup, and gimbap. The order took about 20 minutes. The tteokbokki rice cakes were chewy and tasted really good with the flavorful sauce. It also came with fish cake. The fish cake soup was really comforting and also came with fish tofu. The gimbap were tasty and came with a dipping sauce that paired well with it. We also tried the sweet rice drink which wasn't that sweet and tasted like just soft brown rice with water. Overall I would come back if I was craving tteokbeoki or fish cake soup. I've tried their mung bean pancakes when they first opened and it was pretty oily but maybe I'll try it again next time.

After seeing Eater LA's article about must eats near Arcadia mall, I thought I'd give Soon Hee a try. Upon entering, I noticed it's an order-at-the-counter-and-pick-a-table-to-sit kind of place. The menu looked limited for it only featured a few items, but don't let that deter you! The things I ordered were so good! Fish cake soup: 10/10. The soup was light but flavorful and the fish cakes and fish tofu was delicious. This is what initially attracted me to this place. Seafood mung bean pancake: 9/10. Crispy, had large pieces of shrimp in it and it came with a soy like dipping sauce with onions. Pretty good. Gimbap (the long rolled sushi looking things): 10/10. I ordered this for my 4 year old but my husband and I ended up eating most of it because it was soooooo good! It has crunchy carrots, pickled radish, fish cake, rice, and wrapped in seaweed. The perfect snack. It also came with a pretty good wasabi inspired dipping sauce. I would definitely order this again. Overall, the ambiance was good and food was amazing. There's not much parking in the lot (we went on a Saturday afternoon and hubby had to drive around a couple times to find a spot). Note: they do have a restroom, but it's located in the kitchen which you'll have to walk through to get to. Customer service was really nice and showed us all the way inside.

The mung bean pancake with pork was delicious but takes a while to make, so it's best to call in advance. The Kimbap was also yummy but pricey, less worth it. There are some seating options but it's a pretty small and casual place with kpop in the background fyi! Parking is limited in the dream lab parking lot.

The soy garlic chicken was finger licking good! My mouth waters thinking about how good it would've been if I tried it fresh at the restaurant. I've tried many soy garlic sauces before, and this one is special! The sauce packed some unexpected heat. It was savory, sweet, and spicy. The mung bean pancake was so yummy. Street food hits in a different way! Looking forward to trying their other chicken flavors and dishes.

My opinion, one of the best late night take out food in the area. Ordered the combo Rosé Theokbokki and Mayak Kimbap and it was very yummy. If you grew up loving yupduk Theokbokki but couldn't handle the spice and want to try something more creamy and sweet, this is the place yo. Also, price is not bad so COME ON!
