Sophia Bethesda

A truly beautiful building in the best location. Staff is amazing, really hard working, kind, and professional, from the concierge to the leasing office and the housekeeping and maintenence staff. They really try to make your life easier. Particularly Melissa is always welcoming and Obed is great from addressing any repair to helping you to find the best solution to solve a technical problem. Neighbors are mostly friendly, very diverse, lots of kids and families. Only downside is the quality of some finishing that are nice and elegant but not good materials as you would expect in a building of this category, and the 'eco-friendly' restrictions imposed by non-sense county regulations such as the electric stove (hate them!), water pressure cap. Hope we can stay for long!

I had the pleasure of touring Sophia Bethesda with a friend to help him decide on a location that would be the best fit for his personality. Even though the tour was for him, I truly felt like I was being shown a place I would absolutely love myself. The gentleman who gave us the tour, Christopher Rodriguez, was outstanding. His enthusiasm and energy were contagious—he spoke so highly of the residents and it was clear how much he truly enjoys being part of the community. He even mentioned that if there was ever something residents wanted to add, all they had to do was ask, and if it was in the budget, the team would make every effort to make it happen. That level of commitment is rare and so refreshing. Before leaving, we walked around the neighborhood and I was impressed by how much there is to do for all ages. On top of that, the gym onsite is nothing short of a real gym—fully equipped to the point that I wouldn’t even need an outside membership. That alone makes living here even more appealing. At the front desk, we were greeted by the concierge—I believe her name was Melissa or Michelle—and she was truly one of the sweetest ladies I’ve met, especially during the times we’re in now. She made us feel instantly welcomed and at ease, setting the tone for the entire visit. Overall, Sophia Bethesda left a lasting impression with its incredible staff, amazing amenities, and vibrant surrounding community. It’s the kind of place that feels both warm and modern, and I can easily see myself calling it home.

I stayed in The Sophia on a short-term rental. Everything was wonderful!!! The building is beautiful, with an excellent gym and amenities, and an incredibly friendly and professional staff. I appreciated that The Sophia is pet friendly, has ample parking and is close to everything including Metro. High Recommend!

My experience here in has been nothing short of excellent! From my interactions upon touring with Christopher, to move-in day help from Serita and Jocelyn, to having Andres help with any maintenance needed in my apartment, the staff at Sophia is beyond knowledgeable and willing to help with anything. Incredibly happy with my experience!

We lived there for several months while looking for a new home, and I have to say it's been one of the best apartments we've ever rented. The leasing staff was so nice, concierge services were top notch, maintenance issues were easy to request, and the amenities were wonderful. Plus there were plenty of opportunities for social events, and of course the rooftop had a great view. It was perfect for July 4th fireworks viewing, and any time we wanted to watch a sunset.

The staff at the Sophia has become my family.I am from the midwest (Louisville,Ky) moved to Chevy Chase 10 years ago and have lived in 3 apartment buildings. The Willard,the Barret and moved here a few weeks ago. Ar first I didnt realize how wonderful your employees take care of their residents. I moved from 912 to 909 and have never been happier. I'm finally home. To the owner of Greystar, Bob Faith I have to ask you for a favor.Living in other apartment buildings (Equity and Bozzuto) The staff was constantly changing which was very unsettling for the residents. I ask you to do whatever you need to in order to keep the employees here. I grew up in a family business and what I learned was the best employees got the necessary promotions to stay with our company. Please do whatever is necessary to keep Christopher, Joselyn,Serita,Melissa and Christina, Andres and the maintanence crew happy and lifelong employees! The maintanence team is like no other building. They are experienced, professional and there is never a long wait. Everyone in the building who I have met feels the same way. Promotions,raises for the staff will keep the residents happy and wanting to live here. I plan (with Gods help) to live here the rest of my life! The concierge at the front desk needs some coaching on people skills and common courtesy. She lacks sense or urgency as I came trying to get some more information on leasing and was standing at the front door which is locked. I called the office number on the panel and still lacked urgency. I would not feel at home if I moved here. Common sense is not common in some cases. When I asked questions it seemed like I was bothering her. I will be taking my further lookings to other luxury apartments that appreciate you. Cecil was a great experience from the luxury apartments to the customer service and smile from their concierge. Sorry you lost a good possible tenant and hopefully you have some training on people skills to the front desk person. White older lady.

Moving to Sophia has been a breath of fresh air. My last building was excellent, but it was time to move. The Sophia has been so welcoming, and they really do support you, always coming up with fresh ideas to engage with residents. They even promoted one of my ideas. I hear there’s going to be a gigantic pickleball event, too. So if you want to join that, move on in! Also, amenities, maintenance, concierge? All top of the line. So a big thank you to everyone: Christopher, Serita, Jocelyn, Christina, Randy, Melissa, and Carlos!

--Avoid This Apartment Complex - Overhyped and Mismanaged This place looks great in the pictures but is a total nightmare in reality. The complex is still under construction, with constant noise starting as early as 6 AM, even on weekends. Management provides zero communication about construction schedules or tenant updates, leaving residents in the dark and frustrated. The advertised amenities are a complete lie. The pool, prominently featured in their pictures, doesn't even exist. The coworking space and gym were delayed for months and barely functional when they finally opened. Even the electric car chargers they boast about don't work. Everything they advertise is just a façade to get you to sign the lease...i.e. revolving door of salespeople too. When we moved in, there was no water for two weeks. Despite opening multiple tickets, it took ages to fix, with no apology or compensation offered. The leasing staff promises you everything, but the reality is far from what they claim. This apartment is far from ready for tenants. If you have any other options, take them. If you're still considering this place, be prepared for constant frustration, broken promises, and nonexistent amenities. One star only because Yelp doesn't allow zero.

We just moved in to the building-Jocelyn Jackson and Christopher were very helpful all along the process of visiting the building for the first time multiple follow-up visits, then helping with all the process of signing a lease.

I worked with Christopher while getting my lease done at Sophia. From start to finish he answered all of my questions and made me feel so comfortable. The day of my tour - he gave his personal number to contact if I had any additional questions. To me, that was top tier customer service! 10 out 10 would recommend - if ur interested in leasing - ask for Christopher - he will take care of you!
