Thank you so much to Sopra Bistro for helping make our anniversary so special. About the most amazing fod we have ever had, from start to finish and fantastic service! From warm herb olives, fried goat cheese and creamy sautéed onion soup for starters with delicious salt baked bread... to creamy mushroom pasta and the best seared scallops with a brie cream and thin fried potatoes. Followed up with the most smooth and silky flour less dark chocolate dessert and delectable wines throughout. Can't wait to go back again some day. 5 out of 5 stars is not nearly enough for our experience there!

We chose Sopra for a birthday dinner and were not disappointed. Rhe tomato bisque soup on special was a thicker and more enjoyable texture than I've had before. Entree "The Hunters", which showcases venison, was so good I was chewing slower than usual just to enjoy it as long as possible. Honestly, it was better than 98% of steaks I've eaten in my life. I don't think it's fair to talk about pricing when I went knowing it would be pricer, but I do think the flavor profile and preparation/presentation of the food exceeded my expectations and thus justified a higher price tag. I would come here again for a special occasion.

Wonderful experience. First off, our server Sara rocked. So welcoming, friendly, and had great recommendations - from beers to entrees. Speaking of which, had the scallops and they were terrific. Very well cooked with delicious, creative sides. Beer selection was wide ranging and my lavender sour was a nice pairing (and good rec by Sara). Highly recommend this place!

This was our second visit here. It's in the middle of downtown Lake Geneva — a busy street with lots of shops and restaurants. It has a classic-looking front façade, made from crafted wood millwork. Inside, on the lower level, is a bar area and seating for different-sized groups. Upstairs is another dining area that isn't as well furnished, but it is definitely quieter (which is always our pick). We had reservations on a Friday night and got seated right away. Our server got us settled in with water and menus. They have a drink menu with some interesting offerings of hand-crafted cocktails. We settled on a couple of Pinot Grigios, Old Fashioneds, and a Lo Siento. All were very good. After our server (Calvin, who did a great job the entire night) explained all of the specials, we decided on the Seba-tons (Lobster Wontons); the Duck; Lamb Chops; Brrr-atta (Pasta); and the Bronze Medal (Filet). All the food was amazingly good. The Lobster Wontons were hot, flavorful, and crisp (not greasy). Each piece was a good size. We didn't wait long for the entrées to come out. Each of them was well presented, hot, seasoned nicely, and generous in portion. My lamb chops were the perfect medium rare (almost as good the next night when I had leftovers). The potatoes with olives, feta, etc. were inventive and delicious. The first meal we ate here was memorable, but I think this meal even topped that one. Absolutely delightful. We would definitely come back for another meal. My only suggestion would be to add a little more décor upstairs (maybe a picture or two :).

The bread was excellent to start. A special appetizer tuna tartare was very tasty Our main meals were the swordfish and the regular nochi was so tasty and highly recommend. Fish lovers the swordfish was very tasty as well

My friend and I visited Lake Geneva for an impromptu girls trip and found Sopra through a Google search. This place was super busy due to it being restaurant week, but we loved the atmosphere! Very sophisticated. I ordered a pasta dish called "Not so Craig Mac" and it was Delicious!! Also loved the homage to hip hop😉 My friend had the salmon, which was also very good 👍🏾 The drinks,OMG... The bartender did not miss. We will definitely make a stop in the next time we're passing through

Forget the other wannabe upscale restaurants in the area. This place puts them all to shame. Nice sized portions at a good value. I asked to have my salmon medium rare and it was perfectly soft and melt in your mouth with amazing flavor

Location is great! Service was attentive but if you’re noting a special event on your reservation, you’d think the restaurant would do a little something special, not this place. :( Food was just ok. They called to say I didn’t leave signed receipt to then find it on the table, weird. Our bill was $300 for 6 people.

Delicious, cozy, friendly, warm, great service & good vibes all around! My husband and I ate here on a mini getaway and loved how warm & cozy it was on a cold rainy night. I had a delicious red wine, the fried goat cheese app, the swordfish special & my husband had the Nola pasta. We had affogato for dessert & it was just right. Our waitress was experienced, fun, friendly & had worked there since the beginning and seemed like she genuinely loved it there. Highly recommend!

Had a nice anniversary dinner here on a recent visit to Lake Geneva! This cozy little place serves up Italian-American foods, so we were excited to give the menu a try. We of course had to start with the warm bread, which came with a salted butter that was so good we ordered more. We also had the fried goat cheese. It included baby arugula, honey orange vinaigrette, cayenne pepper and a honey drizzle. Tons of great flavor here. For mains we decided to go with one pasta and one entree to split. Off the pasta menu we chose the "dwayne." This dish was made with tagliolini and had loads of sautéed rock shrimp, chilis, sun dried tomatoes, garlic, white wine, and parm. It was pretty good but can't say it was worth the whopping $30 price. "Gettin' piggy wit it" was our other pick, and this were some tasty, grilled double bone, pork chops! There wasn't much too the sides (well-sauced cannellioni beans), as the meat is clearly the focal point. Again, not quite worth the high price, but still a delicious dish. Our server didn't offer the friendliest of energy, but the food runners certainly did. Parking around here is a little scarce, as it's a busy downtown spot, so plan to look for street parking. The overall venue and atmosphere of the night was enjoyable!

Boy, do they know how to pick restaurants to impress us during our visits (we never want to go home...)! From the moment that we were seated until we left (and introducing us to the owner in between), Scot took fantastic care of us! We started with a round of drinks - my wife going for the Cassandra (see picture) and myself going with the Smoke Break (see picture - a Kentucky beer and a shot of Mezcal). We both tasted each others drinks and both found the Cassandra to be delicious. I ordered the Smoke Break because it came with Mezcal and if you follow my posts or see the recipe on my site - I LOVE Mezcal Palomas in the summertime. I'm not a huge fan of sipping straight alcohol though (like it mixed so I can drink instead) and didn't find anything special about the beer...so wouldn't order it again, especially given the price. The Table Bread (see picture) was delicious along with the spread. For starters, our friends ordered the Brussels (see picture) and my wife and I shared the Beets Me (see picture). Both of these salads were unique, fresh and delicious - so I'd highly recommend them. For our dinners, our friends ordered the Sausage & Peppers (see picture), my wife ordered the Greatest Of All Time (see picture) and I ordered the NOLA (see picture). We all shared tastes of each others dishes and I assure you that there was a lot of "that's delicious" after each bite! You absolutely won't go wrong with any of these dishes! We had our hearts set on Ice Cream up the street for dessert and Scot even had a good recommendation for a new gelato store just 2 blocks away (the next review...). food was excellent BUT. host was extremely rude,waitress rushed us. was completely shocked she literally was clearing the plate as my friend was eating. tell these chefs to find somewhere else to cook because the staff was abysmal.

Visited Sopra for out anniversary dinner, expecting a higher class, intimate dining experience. Not the case, tables are on top of each other & if someone around you wants to get up everyone needs to readjust. Being from Chicago & they claim to take a "Lincoln park" ambiance, I was slightly disappointed, however I see what they meant. The service was mid, because our server was serving so many tables, it was hard for her to be as attentive and I knew she would have liked. She was lovely & new her stuff, we just did a lot of waiting around. As a fellow server, I knew she was trying her best & the lack of employment is not her fault. The food was okay. The Caesar salad lettuce was wilted and brown. The goat cheese appetizer was to die for, so delicious. My partner got pasta "nice mussels, sweety" referring it to taste like clam chowder & very over salted. I ordered the "lakeside pretty" it was bland & said to be served with asparagus but it was served with broccolini. The puree was not garlic, just extremely salty. Another try at the restaurant is definitely in order, however I was not overly impressed.

Absolutely delicious! Sopra is a great spot in the downtown/Main Street area amongst many other cool places. But this spot seemed like one of the "nicer" places. We had a delicious bottle of sparkling wine, mahi mahi, a great elevated mac 'n cheese type dish with different meats, lobster wontons, ahi tuna, and an awesome chocolate hazelnut dessert. The service was okay, but it was super busy. A reservation is definitely needed. We heard them say to someone that didn't have a reservation that even the bar was reserved. Also, others have mentioned that it's super pricey, but we didn't think the bill was out of control (though we live in CT). Anyway, we were first timer visitors to Lake Geneva, and this place didn't disappoint. Loved it and would definitely return!

It was a while ago that we were here, however, it was one of the best meals I have had in the area - ever. We left with no complaints whatsoever in regard to food, service or ambience. The octopus... on point.

We enjoyed the salmon, crab cake, octopus, and the duck. The food was very good. I like salmon, but rarely order it because most restaurants overcook it. When the server asks about how do you like your salmon cooked, I know I am in a restaurant where they try to treat it properly. The smoked paprika sauce on the octopus was divine! I didn't mind that the restaurant was crowded and popular, but I didn't like that the way the chairs and tables are built that you are either sitting with your legs further apart in between a post, shifted to one side to avoid a post, or bumping your knees into a post.

It looks really nice on the outside. They make themselves out to seem like they are a high class restaurant serving an exceptional dinning experience, however that was not the case for us. I'd been wanting to try this place out for a while, so we made a reservation because the last time we tried we couldn't just walk in. I was surprised when they were walking us to our table, because it turned into walking up a steep flight of stairs to a second level of the restaurant that was very small and felt like an abandoned island. The server started off very nice and normal, however when I had explained that I was vegan and would just like a pasta dish, maybe with a plain marinara or just like an olive oil swopped out for the heavy cream, he looked very confused and asked a fellow server for some help. She was nice enough about it, and did try to suggest some things, but she also sprinkled in several times. "I'm not sure how slammed the chef is though" I wondered what the point of saying that was. Would they have honestly told a customer no? That they couldn't make the same exact pasta on the menu, but instead just throw olive oil on it? I had even written in the notes section of our reservation that I was vegan, and would just like a modified menu item. If that had been a problem, they should've contacted me to say that they couldn't accommodate me. I was really grateful in the end because they ended up making a mushroom pasta cream dish for me and exchanged the cream for olive oil, and it was actually very tasty. My problem comes with the fact that it took 45 minutes for our food to be delivered, and in that time even the bread we ordered didn't come out for about 20 minutes and we had to remind the server- I think he forgot. When he did deliver it, he only gave us a half loaf when we had asked for a full one. It was the saddest little half piece of bread I'd ever seen in my life. We were starving, and our server wasn't to be seen for a very long time after that so we gave up on asking for more. It was so quiet up there, and our server barely came to check how we were doing. It seemed like all the other tables were being attended to so well, and we were just sitting up there like chopped liver. We even had to ask another server, to ask our server for the check. The whole process took so excruciatingly long and it makes I wonder if I was being punished for having a dietary food request. I felt so uncomfortable there. I felt like an unwanted guest. I wanted to leave so badly. I won't be visiting again. I was very disappointed because I imagined we were going to have a nice time.

We had dinner at Supra Bistro Sept 1st 2023. We were very disappointed with the food. Ordered Caesar salad which was dry and the romaine was warm and wilted. We asked for extra dressing and a thimble full of dressing was given to us. when we received the bill, we discovered they charged up an extra $1.00 for the dressing even though the salad was $17.00. The waitress did not inform us that there would be the extra charge. My companion said this was CS. The Squid appetizer was too chewy, bland and tasteless Overall the restaurant was disappointing and certainly overpriced for the quality of food. We will not return.

My husband and I came during a short getaway. We were seated upstairs but the room was full, so it felt lively and our server was very attentive. We had a really nice view overlooking the street. I had a wild game ragu, or bolognese, and my husband had one of the specials. His was a ribeye with a Korean marinade and it was perhaps the best steak I've ever tried. Prices seemed reasonable for a nicer restaurant. Overall a great meal!

An amazing dinner experience. Service was top notch but the food was even better. Seafood gnocchi (even willing to exclude the peas) the best and a great wine list too. Will definitely be back.

Love the atmosphere of this place, very urban not typical Lake Geneva. Sat at the bar and had an excellent meal, our server was terrific. I had the clams and french fries and my wife and the gnocchi. Really good with a with a nice dry Italian red.

I had the carafe of st. germaine as a drink. If you are a riesling lover, this is for you. Tastes just like a sparkly riesling I then had the salmon entree. Whatever they coat their potatoes in, applause applause. Salmon was cooked to perfection Server was Wesley who was so nice, attentive and helpful when I had questions First time here and will definitely be back!

I'm going to have to go a little deeper into the menu to be sure, but our first visit was very nice. Lots of different tastes here, from Pheasant to Duck to Scallops. We tried to have a cocktail and a starter while we took our time reviewing all of these options, but the server informed us that we had to order our entire meal at once. Interesting, but off-putting. So, I guess we need more time with the menu. Gee, that brussels sprouts starter would have gone great with this glass of wine while we looked for dinner, but, whatever... Cocktail was okay. I'm going to have to get used to this Wisconsin version of an old-fashioned again. I've gotten hooked on the whiskey old-fashioneds down in Tennessee and the Wisconsin version is completely different. Not bad, just different. Next time I'll dive into the wine list, too... I ordered the pheasant, which was cooked nicely, but nothing special in the preparation of the bird, just a couple of pheasant drumsticks over brussel sprouts and roasted potatoes. Good, but not all that special for a special. My date had the pasta - it was "good," she said. The beef is prime priced, so I hope it's prime quality, because that's probably where I'll go next time we're in for dinner. And we will be back. TIP: It's easier getting in and out of parking spots if you don't park out front.

The worst experience I have had at a restaurant in a long time. The staff, including the manager, were extremely rude. The food and drinks were subpar, especially for the price. The staff spoke so rudely to a group sitting next to us that we felt very uncomfortable. If we had not already ordered our food we would have left. After exiting the restaurant, there was a group who had just left and we overheard them sharing a similar experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

I took my mom here for a mother daughter date for an early mother's day present and the food was AMAZING. I got the Smoked Mozzarella and my mom got the Salmon. Both very delicious. And don't even get me started on the service. Our waitress was EXCELLENT. I believe her name is Diane. She was amazing. She always kept the conversation going and my mom said Diane convinced her to have almost everything! Definitely recommend it was an amazing first time.

What was I waiting for to try this place? What a fantastic restaurant. The octopus app was easily top 3 octopus dish I've ever had. Very tender and great flavor. The filet was cooked perfect and melted in your mouth. Ryan behind the bar is a pro and great guy, made great suggestions on wine and food. Apparently new summer menu comes out next week. Don't forget to buy the kitchen a round. Check it out!

Best food in Lake Geneva, but don't sit at the bar please, it's where I like to sit. Don't believe the bad reviews, menu changes and is always creative and delicious....

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night. The restaurant was very busy, and moderately loud. The interior itself is very nice with several art pieces on the wall. For drinks we ordered a Riesling, and a special drink, painkiller cocktail, which tasted like a fancy piña colada. For appetizers we ordered the baby octopus, which came with two portions of octopus tentacles. As someone who really enjoys eating octopus, I was very pleasantly impressed that they were able to cook the octopus great, making it buttery and not too chewy, with char on the outside. The octopus also came with arugula with dressing that helped make the arugula not bitter. It was an excellent pairing with the octopus. We also ordered the lobster wontons which had goat cheese and cream cheese, and came with a sweet Thai chili sauce, which paired well with the slightly saltier wonton. For entrées my boyfriend got a special, which was the Korean barbecue ribeye, medium rare, which came with onion rings and aioli. The ribeye was excellent, a generous portion, but it was quite expensive at $47. I ordered the rigatoni which came with duck and bacon. Unfortunately I thought the duck was a little over cooked and bland. A lot of this is secondary to personal tastes but the rigatoni itself and the sauce was delicious especially with the bacon, zucchini and tomatoes that were also in the dish. The arugula on top was too bitter for the dish. Total for two people including the drinks, appetizer and entrée was about $130 not including tip. Expect to pay a lot for dinner. Highly recommend getting the baby octopus, wish I could've had that as my entrée.

We had enjoyed our meals at Sopra in their earliest days, 5 stars. Well crafted, tasty food, and we always left happy and satisfied. They then set their menu, with very little changes other than switching out seasonal vegetables. They also had a terrific Salad Lyonnaise at the beginning, easily their best salad, and moules frites on their appetizer menu. I had both of those a few times as my meal. Those disappeared from the menu, although the mussels without the fries occasionally pops up as a special. Now I felt they were resting on their laurels as the only semi-innovate restaurant in the area without Hotel overpricing and impersonal service. Four stars. We had some friends in visiting us from South Carolina, and we had really played up how wonderful Sopra is. We had four very mediocre dishes that evening, from pasta, Bolognese, with numerous pieces of gristle to a medium rare steak being served medium well. The restaurant was exceptionally busy that evening, so we just chalked it up as a bad night for the kitchen. Covid hit before we had a chance to come back and last night was our first time since 2019 upon seeing the menu, and the first thing we noticed was that they no longer offered bread and butter gratis, but offer half and whole portions for a nominal fee. This felt a bit like "nickel and dime" treatment. Perhaps people were gorging on the brea and fleur de sel butter and not ordering entrees, but why not offer bread with a note that there will be a nominal charge for extra bread and butter? On the plus side, we were pleased to see that they finally put a vegetable with the scallops, as previously we were paying entrée prices for what was basically an appetizer at other area restaurants, both notably Jonathan's. I ordered the duck, even though I was disappointed that it was a half duck as opposed to the breast that they used to serve. Both dishes were fine, above average versions, but nothing extraordinary. The biggest downer came when they could not redeem our open table reward. The manager came over, and defensively said that it wasn't their problem as it was a third-party vendor we were a little upset, since the only way you can make a reservation is through OpenTable for this restaurant granted, $10 is a paltry amount when you're spending three figures for a dinner, but it was the lack of respect for the customer that really bothered us. The manager did come back at the end of the night to apologize yet no adjustment was made to the bill. I suspect this occurred because the waitress overlooked me tapping on my Yelp app on my phone after she said it wouldn't be redeemed. It is unfortunate that Sopra's "forced" to only take reservations through OpenTable. In reality, this review would be 3.5 stars for Sopra, 1 star for Open Table. I cannot see any reason to return to Sopra. We will stick to supper clubs, Sweet Aroma and Jonathan's for our date nights.

When we want to 'stretch our legs' and take a drive to Lake Geneva, in the past, we've ended up at Sopra. We've been fans. My partner invariably orders the duck and has enjoyed it each time. Each time she mentions her gluten-free requirement (and did this time). Recently, we came to the restaurant, pleased to see that the wait-staff was at full force (not so the time before where everything lagged). They have a new menu. I took a chance and ordered a pasta dish with duck. Not enough kick for me (that's okay--I took a chance); however, the pasta was cool on the edges as if the dish had been sitting. Yes, the duck was ordered per usual. The duck came with a soft-boiled egg. It was panko-crusted as explained by the server only when asked after we were served. In other words, not GF. Decided against wine or a mixed drink, having Pellegrino instead. That small item was a quadruple markup from your grocery store. Portions are generous, but prices with the new menu are aggressive. It would be nice if the restaurant turned more attention to a gluten free option or at least making it a consideration. Basically, we're losing our enthusiasm for Sopra.

Extremely disappointing experience - after being seated quickly we waited over an hour for our meals to arrive. During this wait we were never approached by an owner, manager, or anyone to assure us something was being done to get our meals out to us. In fact our waitress did everything possible to avoid us while we patiently waited. Our bill for 4 was $230+ which included appetizers, a bottle of wine, and bread (that is correct we had to pay for bread). They also did not have a standard marinara sauce for pasta, so our child had to settle for buttered noodles. Needless to say we will not return to Sopra Bistro. Tip to owners: a simple visit to our table with an apology and maybe a comp'd appetizer or loaf of bread would have made this experience bearable and this review written completely different.

Dined here for the first time with 2 friends on 7 August 2023. Server was good; food was mediocre / good but overpriced ($37 entrees) for what was served. But our biggest complaint is the nickel and diming. We ordered a bottle of wine, appetizer and 3 entrees, so not insignificant. Bread for the table (a simple small french baguette). The appetizer was the burrata. It was a generous portion of burrata, but served with 2 small pieces of crostini (there were 3 of us at the table). We had to ask for more crostini, because - were we just going to eat a ball of cheese? Server came back with 3 more small pieces. But the kicker was that we were billed for the "extra" crostini. AND the small baguette of table bread served with a pat of butter. Ridiculous; mentioned to the server who was sympathetic but did nothing. Especially irritating when the total bill was approaching $300. Will not ever dine here again - there are plenty of other good options in the area.

We had the Squid appetizer , very large portion and tasted ok , probably too much for an appetizer, came with two pies of toast, unfortunately our toast was burnt.. followed by Shaved brussel sprout salad, unfortunately there were large chunks of nearly whole Brussels sprouts including some stall, that just tasted bitter, because of the large chunks the salad tasted underdressed and under seasoned. Then the Goat Pappardelle which was great, the best thing on the menu. Then as recommended by the server, who disappeared for large sections of time, we had New York strip special , medium rare. This was $44 , but was just a 6 oz steak, one polenta cake, ice cold in the middle, and 2 pieces of undercooked rapini, oh and a very flavorless chimichurri topping, Poorly executed , over priced. We complained about the steak and did get a discount, but no apology , an argument and generally left us sorry we came. Also very noisy and poor acoustics when were there. 3 stars is generous. wont be back

Amazing food service and ambiance. The best chef in lake Geneva. Wine selection is great and the service is amazing

At a place where the chef demands you order a certain way, the food should be perfect. I liked this place in general, but found it annoying that we were not allowed to order appetizers until we had decided on everything. We ordered the goat cheese and adopts salad. It'll both were tasty but the arugula was over dressed. Of the arugula is wilting at the table it has too much dressing. I wouldn't normally complain but when a service had to say things like "the chef prefers..." then my judgment level increases. I orders them scallops and my mom ordered the duck. My scallops were pretty good but only seared on one side. One of them was huge and undercooked as a result. But the others tasted good. My mom ordered the duck and really enjoyed it but it was over cooked. I tried it and it tasted good but agreed. Our server was really nice. Please let the chef know that if he is going to make demands about how you order, then his food should be perfectly executed.

so there I was, sitting at the bar. As I looked across the bar, I saw my friend with a dirty martini. i ordered one as well, having no expectations. Boy! was I pleasantly surprised! this was the BEST dirty martini I have ever had. The top three moments of my life: getting married, having my children and this martini. Run! Don't walk, To try one soon!

Came on a Saturday night. We ordered the octopus appetizer along with two other appetizer specials--tuna tartare and mussels. The food was just OK. The same for the service.

Downtown Lake Geneva restaurant that thinks it's more special than it actually is. The food is decent but overpriced. My boyfriend got the salmon and he loved it. I had the duck which I wouldn't recommend. It was pretty tasteless and overcooked. The baby octopus appetizer is delicious and the beet salad with goat cheese is really good too. The ambiance is nice, they follow covid guidelines, all employees are wearing gloves and masks. They have a long drink and wine list. Maybe next time I will stick to the appetizer menu and save some money.

This was a truly memorable dining experience. We were there on a Thursday evening and they weren't too busy. Our server recommended the Esterhazy Estoras Austrian pinot noir and it was superb (half off the evening we were there). We started with the grilled Cesar salad with polenta croutons; very smoky and delicious. For the pasta course we had the fusilloni with shrimp and pancetta. For our mains we had the trout special and the pork tenderloin with mushrooms and asparagus on buttery garlic mashed potatoes. Service was good and portions were large. I would recommend splitting everything we ordered.

Small and quaint spot with a great menu. Tons of options and almost all gluten free even though it doesn't say on the menu. Highly recommend the goat cheese appetizer. It's very quiet and we brought our two year old (not realizing it was a classy place) but the waitress handled it with respect and was very accommodating. We were almost about to leave but she assured us it would be totally fine! They even made her a little kids plate. Such incredibly sweet staff and the food was amazing. Probably the best salmon I've ever had. Would visit again!

Fantastic food, unique specials, highly recommend and I will be return. I can't say enough, service was great the white wine was chilled properly and the specials were truly special. Highly highly recommend dining here.

Absolutely horrible and rude service. Took 2.5 hours to eat and we had three kids with us, no appetizers. Server was rude and never checked on us unless we flagged her down. 2 out of the 5 entrees were incorrect. At the end of the dinner we asked to speak with the manager and cancelled our wine order (because we had waited 15 mins already) and she told us to go find him ourselves. We frequented this place a lot but the service has really gone down hill. If you want a place to unwind and enjoy dinner, this is not your place.

Even with low ratings, we thought how bad can it be. The menu items made sense with the description but we couldn't have been more wrong. Its a shiny penny. The most delicious thing on the table was the butter. Everything else on our table was half eaten plates. There are def better options around.

I don't often have horrible experiences at restaurants but wow, this place may be the worst! We arrived and were seated quickly. Then it all went downhill. After handing us the menus, we waited another 25 minutes to have our drink order taken. Keep in mind, the restaurant was not even close to full capacity. After hearing the waitresses loudly complaining about their jobs and how COVID is not real, someone else finally came to take our meal order. By this time we had been there over an hour and our food still had not arrived. It was not just one or two problems, it was the entire experience. And for the people working to be loudly complaining and then just be outright rude to customers was appalling. For the prices of the establishment, I would think they would try to maintain a classier atmosphere. The food was not worth the cost, waiting over an hour for meals and the stink attitudes, I would suggest any other restaurant since Lake Geneva has a generally great food selection.

We had made reservations 2 months in advance for our friend's birthday dinner. They said we would be in the "music room" for our party of seven. When we arrived, we were told that they had moved us to the upstairs dining room with no notice or apology. When we pursued this, they said a party of 8 needed the private room. Again no apology or explanation. When pressed, they said the party of eight couldn't fit in the upstairs dining room which simply was not true. There was plenty of room for a table of 8. We couldn't help notice that the party of 8 were all young males compared to our party of 7 older ladies. We waited over 30 minutes for our cocktails and were told that the kitchen "wants you to order appetizers and dinner at the same time." When we asked if our birthday girl got a special dessert, we were told no, they don't do that but they would provide a candle. Really? Keep your candle. We are never returning to this restaurant. Terrible customer service and experience.

Really nice spot. Love the vibes. I ordered the salmon which was delicious. My husband ordered the ragu and loved it. We ordered the goat cheese appetizer and it was super good. My husband loved his Cabernet. Ordered the marscapone dessert (don't remember the name) and it was alright, just don't think I love amaretto. Would love to go back to this place if I lived nearby!

High prices for less than good food. I would expect better from a restaurant that is targeting a higher level of food. The pasta dish was disappointing macaroni and tomatoes, the pork was well charred but dry as sandpaper, and the two attempts to have an old fashioned resulted in glasses of soda water with orange pulp. I used to recommend this restaurant but now have several others in the region I would suggest before sopra.

extremely over priced for poor quality food. servers are exceptionally nice and prompt. Pasta is bland with over cooked shrimp. Scallops are severely undersized considering they're "U-10" and charge $12 each. total time spent in restaurant is currently 1 hour and 40 minutes. 70 minutes of that is waiting for just a pasta and scallop dish. I have had extraordinarily expensive meals, so it's not about the price, but getting what you paid for. I promise you, this is NOT it.

Best meal I've had in years. The grilled Caesar salad was divine; the shrimp fusiloni was really delicious and rich, and the trout special was also excellent with tender gnocchi. They all had a perfect mix of ingredients. I didn't realize how big the portions would be, but the leftovers made a great 2nd meal last night. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited this restaurant for the first time-- treated my mom and sister to a wonderful birthday dinner. Elegant warm and cozy ambience inside. Also, friendly waitstaff! But most importantly, EXCELLENT food! I was delighted with the lobster wontons appetizer, spicy (chipotle? I forgot) chickpea soup, lentil potato soup, bucatini pasta (GREAT flavors!!!), and finished off with the tiramisu for desert. Also, making a reservation was super simple and convenient through OpenTable on their website. Highly recommend this fine American-Italian dining experience!

This place was a last minute experience after previous plans fell apart. They were very accommodating, and the bartenders were entertaining and fun while we waited. I tried the veal tortellini and it was exquisite! I highly recommend the food and the ambience.

The food and drinks were good here. Although, for a place that's rather pricey, it looks a bit like a dive bar when you're inside. We started with drinks and the burrata. I had a dirty shirley, which was good but felt a little on the flat side when there's supposed to be soda in it. The burrata was awesome though, can't go wrong there! We also ordered a small loaf of bread for $3, which was definitely overpriced, but whatever compound butter they had on that tray was DELISH. My husband got the rigatoni and I had the pici. Our waitress asked if we wanted to also split an entree, but we declined because A) we figured the pastas would be enough for us, and B) the pastas alone are in the $20 range, and the entrees are getting into the $30-40+ range, so we weren't going to spend extra money on something we wouldn't eat. I tasted my husband's rigatoni, which was good, but the sausage tasted like it was made with red wine. Not that that's a bad thing, but just not my preference. The pici was good, though having small pieces of prosciutto and peas in a bowl and not giving a large pasta spoon to get a full bite of everything seemed counterproductive to me, because ultimately I was eating the noodles before the rest of it because it sat on top and was easier to pick up with a fork. We were just visiting Lake Geneva for an overnight, so this was good, but not someplace I'd necessarily hit up again when I'm back in town for a celebratory meal.

While attending a work event at the Grand Geneva Resort I took a group of 6 to dinner at Sopra. Everyone had different meals and all were wonderful. I personally had the Rainbow Trout which was absolutely amazing. The alligator and lobster won tons were so so... the tuna tar tar was absolutely fantastic. If you are going to the restaurant understand the service is somewhat slow and plan a little more time than you may want to spend. They definitely try but it is a smaller establishment and can get overwhelmed but they definitely try to keep up. If going again I highly recommend the Rainbow Trout. The presentation was outstanding. The flavor wonderful and everything went well together.

One of the best restaurants in Lake Geneva. Highly recommended. A nice place on the main strip that will not disappoint in any way. Great drinks and food. A must place for this cute little town. The duck and salmon were wonderful and worth the price. Service is always great.

Second time trying this restaurant and the New Zealand lamb chops were more delicious this time than last!! The spinach and potatoes were stupendous too!! I also had an old fashioned, which the bartender made according to how I asked him, and was also awesome! The dessert was amazing too!! I also talked my way into seeing the private LP room.......sweet and very nice turntable!! This restaurant is a must in Lake Geneva!!

Delicious meal! This restaurant really impressed - quality is similar to what I would expect from a Downtown Chicago restaurant. We arrived early because we had an infant with us and the restaurant was very accommodating for our needs for the baby. Overall this was a great experience. I would definitely go back and recommend this to anyone in the area! One note: the patio area on the sidewalk out front was closed. I think a lot of businesses cut back on staff after Labor Day so outdoor areas cannot be managed.
