"When your city is known as the Land of the Sky, there can never be too many building-top bars and restaurants. Soprana Rooftop Cucina is Asheville’s newest place to drink in the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. Brick oven pizza is the menu's centerpiece, loaded with locally sourced products like pepperoni from Chop Shop Butchery and Asheville Bee Charmer’s Smokin’ Hot Honey. Starters, soup, salad, and sweets supplement the pies. Asheville breweries provide craft beer, Italian vintages highlight the wine list, and an extensive cocktail menu includes a Soprana Limoncello Lemon Drop with house-made limoncello and locally crafted Cultivated vodka. There’s NA beer and zero-proof beverages for the non-tipplers." - Kay West

Enjoyed our dinner with a view! All of our food was excellent. Ordered a salad, meatballs, and a pizza. Kitchen service was on the slower side but the restaurant was very busy. Our server, Cat, was incredibly attentive, friendly and kind. We enjoyed chatting with her! We stayed downtown and Embassy Suites is a bit on the edge of downtown but the walk to the edge of downtown was worth it!

10/10 Italian restaurant! Came here for a dinner and was greeted with a warm and lively ambiance. We ordered the buratta which was luscious and creamy which also came with a focaccia. We paired that with the meatballs to round out our appetizers. Meatballs were tender and flavorful. We got a margherita pizza and the sausage rigatoni and were left speechless. The pizza was super savory and the cheese and sauce melted in your mouth, while the dough was cooked to perfection and had some crispiness. The pasta was unreal, the rigatoni was actually stuffed with ricotta, layered with spicy Italian sausage, and topped off with seasoned breadcrumbs. I've never encountered such a creative pasta, most places just do a simple pink sauce with their rigatoni. This was truly next level. We finished off with the affogato which is served with these cookies/biscuits that pair so well with the delicious espresso and gelato. Portions were great here, we left stuffed and felt like we got our money's worth! Ambiance and atmosphere was great. So glad I found this place and will be back anytime I'm in Asheville.

Just arrived across the street at the Indigo after a much-delayed flight and just wanted a beer and something quick. Glad we stopped in to Soprana for a pizza and a beer. They have a limited menu, but we only wanted a good pizza anyway and we’re not disappointed. Typical of Asheville, they have a lot of inventive pizza choices. We asked our bartender, Lincoln, if we could just have a good old pepperoni and sausage pizza. He said absolutely. BTW, he is a really good bartender. Anyway, the pizza was exceptional. It is a Neapolitan-style crust, which is our favorite: chewy, thin on the bottom with charred edges, done perfectly. No skimpy toppings on this pizza, and the sausage was exceptional. As you can tell from the photo, everything is upscale. We have never seen hand-grated Parmesan for the pizza rather than the Kraft shaker type. Then to top it off, the view of the mountains from the 7th floor is spectacular.

Google
Pizza was yummy, if you want a table make sure to have reservations. The open seating is limited, some of it on the patio but those patio cushions were pretty wet when we went this past Saturday night ( and there was no rain all day)! Service is spotty. We had to ask for water and they forgot to bring it and while we had a number block for our ordered pizza they gave us the wrong pies ..lol. Great location with mountain views and parking is free valet.

This place really is such a vibe, especially during sunset and after sunset. The service was incredible and was able to get my drinks and food on time very quickly with great recommendations on the food provided by the waiter. The food if you look at the pictures are just amazing presentation and very good. Highly recommend the meatball pizza in the appetizer. I just don’t know the name of what it was called.

Soprana was better than expected! Great view of Asheville from the 7th floor. The pizzas are amazing (the fig and prosciutto pizza is the reason we will be back) and the drink choices pair well with the vibe. Two smallish but delicious pizzas and two glasses of wine cost about $70, so it is a special occasion place for us. But you can count on us being back and telling friends to check it out. Cheers!

Google

Google
The view and the pizza in that order is what will draw you in. This is one of the best views of Asheville and the host proclaimed it as one of the best sunset spots in Asheville. The service was fast and they were very nice. The pizza was great (we selected the Meatball pizza) and the side and Caesar salad were also delectable. It was a cloudy with chance of rain type of day, so it was slow and good day to try the place. This would be a great spot for a drink and hanging out with friends in Asheville with a great view. Very cool place!

Yelp
Food was so good! Amazing views of the mountains. Get here early or make a reservation! A must if you are staying at the Embassy!

Yelp
Soprana Rooftop Cucina in Asheville is an exquisite dining destination that masterfully combines breathtaking views with a superb culinary experience. Located atop a stylish building, the restaurant offers a panoramic vista of Asheville's vibrant cityscape, making it an ideal spot for both casual diners and those celebrating special occasions. The ambiance is chic and inviting, with a modern yet cozy decor that complements the outdoor setting. The rooftop layout is particularly stunning in the evening, as the city lights create a magical backdrop for a memorable meal. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, with staff members who are genuinely passionate about the food they serve. The menu at Soprana Rooftop Cucina is a testament to the culinary prowess of its chefs. Offering a blend of traditional Italian cuisine with innovative twists, the dishes are crafted with the freshest ingredients and presented with artistic flair. Standout items include the rich and flavorful pasta dishes, such as the house-made pappardelle with wild boar ragu, and the wood-fired pizzas, which boast perfectly crisp crusts and a delectable array of toppings.

Yelp
Fantastic views from the rooftop deck on the 7th floor of the Embassy Suites! We devoured the Chop Shop pizza before I realized that I did not snap a photo. We've eaten our fair share of pizza and this was definitely one of our all time favorites! While we waited for our pizza to take back to our room., We had a glass of wine and a lovely chat with the bartender/server We didn't catch his name - a fine gentleman from Sweden. :) It was pouring down rain so we were not able to enjoy the view from the outdoor rooftop deck. We will be back here the next time we're in Asheville!

Yelp
Delicious pizza on a 7th floor rooftop at the new Embassy Suites hotel. We shared a mixed greens salad and a chop shop pizza. Service was excellent. Friendly, fast and attentive. Beautiful views of downtown and the mountains. We didn't get dessert but they did look good.

Yelp
This place is getting two stars based on the service. The food was ok nothing special. We had the chop shop pizza, white bean dip, and the baked wings. The second round of drinks we ordered was significantly less than the first. We went there based on a referral to watch fireworks from the rooftop. You can only dine if you have reservations. The place was not packed with patrons eating and when the fireworks started there were a bunch of people that just appeared in the rooftop and completely blocked any views. Some bought drinks at the bar and others just came for the view, they were clearly not dining. The view is nice but there are other spots in Asheville with better service and excellent views of the mountains. I would not return here if I were in town.

Yelp
Came by on the 4th of July in the evening to have some drinks, food and fireworks. This place serves finger food with pizza being the primary dish. The servers seemed a bit overwhelmed and there were tables empty. It took about 20 minutes for someone to come by after being seated. Music played in the background and most people there just were drinking and watching the fireworks. It was nice to look directly out and see the show.

Yelp
Went for a late lunch on Saturday, so it wasn't very crowded. Beautiful views and a lovely breeze with the doors open. Plenty of seating. Free valet parking by telling them we were going to the restaurant. Pizzas are a little pricey, but excellent! We also got a mixed greens salad to share, but forgot to take a picture of it. It was very good. Definitely need to go back and take in a sunset view!

Yelp
Everything about this place is phenomenal. The service is friendly and attentive. The host was super nice. The bar tenders sling amazing drinks. The ambiance is perfect. The views are so nice. The PIZZA is outstanding. My family moved their Asheville pie and I got the chop shop (love this place too) gluten free crust pizza and it was up there with the best gluten free I've ever had! The salad was seasoned perfectly too.

Yelp
I definitely didn't get the whole experience here as it was raining and night time so time on the rooftop patio... and the staff was very nice... and the tomato bisque soup was delicious and a relatively good price point... but my main purpose for the late meal was a pizza... and $20 for, fundamentally, a medium pepperoni pizza that didn't have enough pepperoni to even average 1 piece of pep per slice is really just a cheese pizza. I recognize (was told) it was locally sourced pepperoni and had a nice tomato sauce with local honey in it... but, in the end, if you're not going to be able to actually taste the pepperoni because the slices are that few and that thin... is it really a pepperoni pizza? Limited experience, I know, but for what it was 3 stars is the best I can do.

Yelp
Great view in Asheville. Nice bar selection, we tried the flatbread pizza at the bar. The server forgot to put our name in for a table since we said we would wait at the bar. Disappointing, so my advice is make sure they put your name down if you go to the bar to wait.

Yelp
Great food, great drinks, and great service. Plus, you cannot beat this view in Asheville!

Yelp
PIZZA! EXCELLENT! Best in Asheville! SERVER ERIN----AMAZING! Food and drinks were great, but the reason that this local will come back is ERIN. Very attentive on a busy night, spot on with recommendations and service! She is a reason that our group will visit again. ERIN is a great representative of this new restaurant, very informative, personable and welcoming! I hope management recognizes what an asset they have in her!!!

Rey R.

Yelp
Service was good however pricier than I thought for pizza. View is good and the place was very clean

Tina C.

Yelp
A truly magnificent rooftop setting. The food was good enough but took a really long time. That was the biggest disappointment. We were there with my in laws for a graduation celebration and wished we had gone elsewhere to show off Asheville.

Jenny B.

Yelp
The view is lovely. The service friendly, but terrible. The pizza was alright, can't really mess up wood fired pizza. The beverages were a mess...the beer options they did not have and the wait staff did not know or get it right. They should have delayed opening until they knew what they were doing. Will be back for the view, that's about it.

Camron N.

Yelp
Beautiful view but the service was awful. Food was expensive yet not crazy good either. Worth the view if not busy but besides that would not eat here again.

Jim S.

Yelp
The food was incredible, the service was excellent and the view is outstanding. Our server was very attentive and my entire party were extremely pleased with their choice of pizza.

Eric I.

Yelp
The view is the main highlight. Try to time your visit just right with enough time to get settled in and watch the sunset. They also have lots of good seating there as well.

Geoff S.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza for being brand new. Service was slow but I think they're working the kinks out. Awesome views.
