Featuring relaxed mountain-town charm and one of Asheville’s most captivating restaurant views, Soprana continues to rise—recently recognized with a Michelin Bib Gourmand. The kitchen turns out food that’s refined in technique yet warmly familiar in spirit. Local sourcing is fundamental, including mushrooms from Black Trumpet Farms that deepen the flavors of the toothsome Garden Variety pizza. The affogato is elevated by a stroopwafel and a rich layer of salted caramel. Service is attentive, friendly, and effortlessly competent, rounding out an experience that balances sophistication with ease.

The gluten free crust here is legit better than anywhere else I can find. It's chewy, does not taste like cardboard! It actually tastes like pizza! I have been gluten free for years and this is the ONLY PLACE that makes pizza this good. This place is so amazing we drove 4 hours for it and got it to go on our way to the mountains for Christmas.

Great place for Italian food and incredible views. Atmosphere: The place is in a hotel. Upon entering, there are clear signs indicating where to go, which is appreciated. The place is very nice, just like the photos shared by other people. I loved the aesthetics of the place, along with the rooftop, which looks very nice. Note: I recommend making a reservation, since we had to eat at the bar because they "didn't have any tables," but there were several available the entire time we were there. The views are very pretty, but to really enjoy them, you have to be outside, and depending on the weather, you may or may not be able to enjoy them, in my opinion. Service: The hostesses weren't very friendly and somewhat apathetic. They sent us outside even though it was very hot (this was due to the lack of a reservation). We later asked if we could sit at the bar, and they said yes and made the change. In this sense, everything changed. The bartenders were very friendly, the food was on time, the drinks were incredible—there's nothing bad to say. Food and Drinks: We loved everything we ordered. We were a group of four, and we all ordered a different drink, a different pizza, and different salads. Everything was incredibly good. We would definitely return to this place.

Google
Absolutely STUNNING decor and rooftop view. There are bench tables, classic tables, and lounge areas for you to enjoy. The florals and umbrellas outside are such a nice addition, and the inside decor is just gorgeous. The service was wonderful and so were the staffs’ recommendations. The music was also a wonderful addition. Somewhat limited but delicious food menu, but my pizza was pretty charred (only reason for my star deduction). Bathrooms were pretty and clean.

Who knew a hotel restaurant could feel this warm and welcoming? Located on the rooftop of the Embassy Suites, Soprana offers spectacular views of Asheville that set the stage for a memorable meal. The food is outstanding. Beautifully prepared, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The Panzanella Salad was an unexpected surprise; the flavors are difficult to describe, but trust me—it’s a must-try. Their pizzas are absolutely delicious, and the Kale Salad is excellent as well. Service is equally impressive. Our server, Nicole, was an absolute joy—friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our experience special. She even managed to get us an espresso, though it wasn’t normally on the menu, which really went above and beyond. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or just looking for a great rooftop dining experience in Asheville, I highly recommend giving Soprana a try. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Google
Absolutely gorgeous views. Pizza was practically perfect, amazing doughy crust. Great service too. But the burrata was the star! Probably the best I’ve ever had in my life. Live jazz was such a pleasant surprise. Free street parking. Restaurant on 7th floor of the Hilton.

Google
This place is wonderful! We made reservations for our anniversary and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It was very low-key with delicious food and a nice mid century atmosphere. The views were STUNNING. They have almost a 360 degree view of the mountains and with huge windows and tables near the windows and on the balcony overlooking the view. We both ordered cocktails that were great and got the burrata cheese, peach and focaccia appetizer- it was amazing! Our server was kind and attentive. I got the meatball and ricotta pizza and my husband got the sausage and Gorgonzola pizza, both were delicious!

Google
Come for good food and a lovely view of the surrounding mountains. Lets start with this is on the top floor of the Embassy Suits Hotel with both inside and outdoor seating. Pizza is the main dish. They have several good salads as well. I'm not so big on hotel restaurants, but this was better than expected. Bring sun glasses as the sunset can be bright (even from inside) and very beautiful.

Yelp
Food was so good! Amazing views of the mountains. Get here early or make a reservation! A must if you are staying at the Embassy!

Yelp
Soprana Rooftop Cucina in Asheville is an exquisite dining destination that masterfully combines breathtaking views with a superb culinary experience. Located atop a stylish building, the restaurant offers a panoramic vista of Asheville's vibrant cityscape, making it an ideal spot for both casual diners and those celebrating special occasions. The ambiance is chic and inviting, with a modern yet cozy decor that complements the outdoor setting. The rooftop layout is particularly stunning in the evening, as the city lights create a magical backdrop for a memorable meal. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, with staff members who are genuinely passionate about the food they serve. The menu at Soprana Rooftop Cucina is a testament to the culinary prowess of its chefs. Offering a blend of traditional Italian cuisine with innovative twists, the dishes are crafted with the freshest ingredients and presented with artistic flair. Standout items include the rich and flavorful pasta dishes, such as the house-made pappardelle with wild boar ragu, and the wood-fired pizzas, which boast perfectly crisp crusts and a delectable array of toppings.

Yelp
Fantastic views from the rooftop deck on the 7th floor of the Embassy Suites! We devoured the Chop Shop pizza before I realized that I did not snap a photo. We've eaten our fair share of pizza and this was definitely one of our all time favorites! While we waited for our pizza to take back to our room., We had a glass of wine and a lovely chat with the bartender/server We didn't catch his name - a fine gentleman from Sweden. :) It was pouring down rain so we were not able to enjoy the view from the outdoor rooftop deck. We will be back here the next time we're in Asheville!

Yelp
Delicious pizza on a 7th floor rooftop at the new Embassy Suites hotel. We shared a mixed greens salad and a chop shop pizza. Service was excellent. Friendly, fast and attentive. Beautiful views of downtown and the mountains. We didn't get dessert but they did look good.

Yelp
This place is getting two stars based on the service. The food was ok nothing special. We had the chop shop pizza, white bean dip, and the baked wings. The second round of drinks we ordered was significantly less than the first. We went there based on a referral to watch fireworks from the rooftop. You can only dine if you have reservations. The place was not packed with patrons eating and when the fireworks started there were a bunch of people that just appeared in the rooftop and completely blocked any views. Some bought drinks at the bar and others just came for the view, they were clearly not dining. The view is nice but there are other spots in Asheville with better service and excellent views of the mountains. I would not return here if I were in town.

Yelp
Came by on the 4th of July in the evening to have some drinks, food and fireworks. This place serves finger food with pizza being the primary dish. The servers seemed a bit overwhelmed and there were tables empty. It took about 20 minutes for someone to come by after being seated. Music played in the background and most people there just were drinking and watching the fireworks. It was nice to look directly out and see the show.

Yelp
Went for a late lunch on Saturday, so it wasn't very crowded. Beautiful views and a lovely breeze with the doors open. Plenty of seating. Free valet parking by telling them we were going to the restaurant. Pizzas are a little pricey, but excellent! We also got a mixed greens salad to share, but forgot to take a picture of it. It was very good. Definitely need to go back and take in a sunset view!

Yelp
Everything about this place is phenomenal. The service is friendly and attentive. The host was super nice. The bar tenders sling amazing drinks. The ambiance is perfect. The views are so nice. The PIZZA is outstanding. My family moved their Asheville pie and I got the chop shop (love this place too) gluten free crust pizza and it was up there with the best gluten free I've ever had! The salad was seasoned perfectly too.

Yelp
I definitely didn't get the whole experience here as it was raining and night time so time on the rooftop patio... and the staff was very nice... and the tomato bisque soup was delicious and a relatively good price point... but my main purpose for the late meal was a pizza... and $20 for, fundamentally, a medium pepperoni pizza that didn't have enough pepperoni to even average 1 piece of pep per slice is really just a cheese pizza. I recognize (was told) it was locally sourced pepperoni and had a nice tomato sauce with local honey in it... but, in the end, if you're not going to be able to actually taste the pepperoni because the slices are that few and that thin... is it really a pepperoni pizza? Limited experience, I know, but for what it was 3 stars is the best I can do.

Yelp
Great view in Asheville. Nice bar selection, we tried the flatbread pizza at the bar. The server forgot to put our name in for a table since we said we would wait at the bar. Disappointing, so my advice is make sure they put your name down if you go to the bar to wait.

Yelp
Great food, great drinks, and great service. Plus, you cannot beat this view in Asheville!

Yelp
PIZZA! EXCELLENT! Best in Asheville! SERVER ERIN----AMAZING! Food and drinks were great, but the reason that this local will come back is ERIN. Very attentive on a busy night, spot on with recommendations and service! She is a reason that our group will visit again. ERIN is a great representative of this new restaurant, very informative, personable and welcoming! I hope management recognizes what an asset they have in her!!!

Rey R.

Yelp
Service was good however pricier than I thought for pizza. View is good and the place was very clean

Tina C.

Yelp
A truly magnificent rooftop setting. The food was good enough but took a really long time. That was the biggest disappointment. We were there with my in laws for a graduation celebration and wished we had gone elsewhere to show off Asheville.

Jenny B.

Yelp
The view is lovely. The service friendly, but terrible. The pizza was alright, can't really mess up wood fired pizza. The beverages were a mess...the beer options they did not have and the wait staff did not know or get it right. They should have delayed opening until they knew what they were doing. Will be back for the view, that's about it.

Camron N.

Yelp
Beautiful view but the service was awful. Food was expensive yet not crazy good either. Worth the view if not busy but besides that would not eat here again.

Jim S.

Yelp
The food was incredible, the service was excellent and the view is outstanding. Our server was very attentive and my entire party were extremely pleased with their choice of pizza.

Eric I.

Yelp
The view is the main highlight. Try to time your visit just right with enough time to get settled in and watch the sunset. They also have lots of good seating there as well.

Geoff S.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza for being brand new. Service was slow but I think they're working the kinks out. Awesome views.
