Absolute hidden gem. I’ve been coming here a few times the past few weeks and love the coffee and matcha. The scallion scone was great (get it heated up). The vibes of the place are also so warm and cozy. Great indoor decor and such a beautiful spot to sit in the street on a sunny day. The staff are also so so kind. Asked for some coffee grounds for my plants and they happily obliged! Please stop by here for a scone and drink!!

An absolute hidden gem. Fantastic coffee, warm atmosphere, a perfect place with lots of regulars who love running into each other every day, I’ve never seen anything like it. The baristas will make you any combination of coffee you could dream of, and they love talking to everyone. Lots of room to chat or work, and they welcome dogs too! GREAT pastries, diverse selection. Beautifully designed to be as cozy as possible. Wow.

Went here about a week or so ago with my friend and we both got one of the special seasonal espresso drinks…..wow was it amazing. Creamy and not too sweet. 10/10 would recommend. Will definitely return

My weekend coffee shop, best in the neighborhood. There really are no words to describe the yumminess of the coffee, authenticity of the baked good (HAM AND CHEESE CROISSANT!!), and warm feeling in the coffee shop. Great in any weather, love it here!

Google
The sweetest little cafe. Mostly frequented by residents nearby and the occasional office worker. They have the standard baked goods and coffee, but their atmosphere just feels so so special. They play the best oldies jazz and soul. Had the chance to run into the manager on multiple occasions; she is most lovely. Ample outdoor seating and restrooms inside. I highly recommend visiting!

Cute hidden gem in Midtown - the inside decor is absolutely adorable and they have extra patio seating. Perfect to hunker down on a project or enjoy a glass with a friend. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable! They clearly knew a lot about the wine selection and was able to make a great recommendation. If you go during happy hour, it’s $8 for a glass!

Google
A very cute corner, neighborhood coffee with really good vibe. Love how the bar tender knows most of the customers, and also love their effort on being cautious of their carbon footprint! Great place the start the day 😊

Was traveling in the area looking for a new and good coffee shop and saw the high reviews of this place. I had to stop in and see what it was all about; and was not disappointed! The barista/manager was so nice and inquisitive that I forgot I was in NYC! It was very refreshing. Speedy service and a great location. I recommend popping in if your in the area for a great cup or a latte

Yelp
I loved my drink as it was very unique and not something you can find easily at other coffee shops, as well as my tahini cookie which was huge! Very cute interior, and the workers are very chill as they mind their own business and chit chat on the side so you can enjoy your coffee/do your own thing. A bit limited seats but very cozy!

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop right by me where all of my visitors go for their morning coffee (sometimes in pajamas!). Cozy vibe, good coffee at a reasonable price, and friendly service. Wish they had more seating, but the outdoor seating helps. But living nearby, it's the perfect spot to pop in and grab some coffee to go.

Yelp
I was headed to a restaurant around the corner but I was my usual " too early need to kill time" kinda self. So I hunted the best coffee spot in the area. Sorella did not disappoint. It gave me some Wes Anderson Vibez with the punch card, coffee card hand written and placed on a mounted slotted wall shelf for all to see. Obvious regulars stood in front of me. They did not seem so keen on their coffee shop being shared. There was only a few seats inside and all were taken. It being a blazing day. I had to find seating outside. Only two umbrellas outside. I had to sit in the shadow of my neighbor's umbrella. They had a vegan chocolate chip cookie and I snagged a cold brew with oat milk. Claimed by spot outside in the warmth of summer. The ladies next to me were talking abut some sort of networking business talk. Took away from the experience. The guy next to me was drawing still lifes from a book. I would be a regular too if this was in my neighborhood. And I would definitely be snagging a punch card.

Yelp
A woman owned cute little coffee shop - @sorellanewyork has nice coffee and selection of pastries. I don't come to this part of the town often but it's a great hidden cafe to spend some time in if you're around!

Yelp
Cookies "chonkier" than your favorite Corgi! came to Sorella with the intention of grabbing a coffee. but was swayed by the small selection of fresh baked cookies and other sweet bites. went with the Chocolate Chunk Cookie which loves up to its name and is very shareable. served warm--with the right balance of sweetness, crunch, soft crumb lines, and chocolate chumminess. honestly i may go back just for this cookie! it's worth it--believe it's a small quaint space.. uncluttered. warm colors. there's a few seats inside and there's seating outside in shed-like structure. their customer loyalty punch cards is a nice old school touch as you'll see. the service is warm and thoughtful which meant my absurdist post-ironic comedy won me no points here...however without skipping a beat, the owner /barista/etc. was still super kind in spite of "my bit." go here for the coffee but stay for the cookies!

Yelp
Sorella first opened its doors fall of 2021 but due to business shutdowns caused by variants they were forced to shut down. They re-opened spring of this year and hopefully will continue to hold strong into the foreseeable future! This was our second visit. So far we've tried the iced cappuccino/ iced latte, cardamom bun, almond croissant, and blueberry crumble muffin. -coffee: Very tasty, enjoyed both. I like my latte with slightly less milk but didn't take away from the flavor. -Pastries: fresh, soft and sweet- the best was cardamom, muffin, then croissant The vibe is very welcoming and cozy. Pet friendly. You can stamp a card and get a free something after 10 stamps. Inside sits a small group with more chairs/tables outside. The workers are very nice! Definitely the new go-to coffee spot.

Yelp
really good and huge vegan chocolate chip cookie!! interior is really cute too. would get the almond crossaint heated up next time and try the cardamom bun

Kyle G.

Yelp
Cute little cafe with primarily outdoor seating. Had at least one vegan pastry, and SIX! different kinds of plant based / non dairy milks. One girl working and she was great. They start serving wine at 1p.

Yelp
Sorella is brand new in this neighborhood. My Yelp Children live nearby so we met here for morning coffee. I'm not familiar with the rewards program but they took their card from the wall and punched in in an old fashioned time clock. That's different! The employee behind the counter chatted with me before Ellen and CJ arrived. She's very nice. They have nice outdoor seating and a small seating space inside. We sat inside. I thought the coffee was delicious. I'd definitely return and I recommend you visit if you are in the neighborhood!

Yelp
This was a great find! I ordered two flat whites: one regular and one decaf. The regular one was really good and the decaf one was good but not special. I came here because they had GF chocolate chip cookies. I definitely had to order one even though I'm not a fan of the NYT recipe. The label was on the standard cookies that are absolutely gorgeous so I was disappointed when the GF option looked sad and small (per usual!). But I was so pleasantly surprised because in spite of its appearance, it was actually so good. I wish I got two!

Yelp
I want to start by saying they are very lucky to have will from Oaland! He made my experience extra special and both the coffee & atmosphere have a lot going for them. This is a tiny place with several coffees. You can make your choice to a degree but they do offer recommendations on blends based on how you want it prepared. Hot vs cold, drip vs expresso. I encourage all to follow their lead. I intend to return and will provide more details at that time but until then, hopefully others will give them a try and have great experiences to share!

Yelp
Awesome little coffee shop. Cute inside and really nice outdoor seats. The baristas are exceptionally nice and professional. I'll go out of my way a bit to patronize this place.

J T.

Yelp
This place is terrible. First off the space is way too small. Secondly the coffee is just horrible, bitter and old tasting and the pastries are even worse. I really don't know how they stay in business.

Yelp
If there was ever an applicable phrase to sorella the past 2 months it would be - you don't know what you have until it's gone. Sorella opened up right near my apartment in a spot where many other businesses had unfortunately came and went. I was starting to think it was my fault as everything I ever get close to in my life tends to go bankrupt. However, once Sorella strolled in with its cozy decor, outdoor seating, insanely good cookies and tasty iced coffee - I knew hope had been restored. Then suddenly and seemingly out of nowhere - it was gone. Closed. Another business I had touched - destroyed. "You've done it again you idiot" was all I could think. See I hadn't done anything in particular rather my mere existence is almost always enough to torpedo even the finest establishments. "Rats" I thought as I kicked sand in front of me. There's no sand in Nyc, I know, just go with the story. Anyway, as I was walking home today I saw a miracle before my eyes - sorella was open again. I couldn't believe it. Not only were they open but they were well occupied with patrons on their laptops and others reading books - coffee in their hands, under the sunshine. I walked into sorella and I didn't mean to but I collapsed to my knees immediately and let out a long, loud ugly cry. Snot, tears, the whole bit. It was like seeing a loved one come back to life. The barista was so nice about it too - she even gave myself and the woman I pay to pretend to be my fiancé a coffee on the house. Welcome back sorella, I'm shaking as I write this and please, never leave me again, my love.

Yelp
(4.5) Great neighborhood spot & cute interior The barista was super sweet and the latte I had was great! 1. I wish they listed prices somewhere 2. I wish they had different sizes because my iced latte was pretty milky (plus is that they're really big but I personally prefer less milk to espresso) Would come again and try pastries!

Helen C.

Yelp
one of my favorite neighborhood coffee shops! good coffee and a good selection of pastries -- i really like their tahini cookie and savory scones. they also have pistachio milk which i hadn't had before coming here ! it's a small space in a cozy way and there's outdoor seating as well. i also love that their loyalty "card" is stamped with a clock in machine !

Yelp
Sorella has been a great addition to the neighborhood. Most importantly, the coffee is the best in the neighborhood. They serve a damn fine cup of coffee. Or in my case, a red eye (protip: their default is two shots of espresso (noice)).. A close second is that the the employees are just so remarkably pleasant and nice to talk to. Within a couple of weeks I felt quite welcomed--just what you want out of a neighborhood coffee shop. And treats for the dogs? I love it. Indeed, I find it quite shocking how many places in the neighborhood are just sort of unpleasant and/or have some pretty awful coffee. In any case, the place is cute and small and more likely than not is best for grab and go. I hope it's in this neck of the woods for a long while.

Yelp
Best coffee in Kips Bay (Birch is another good option, but no seating there). Super cute - minimal seating (just a bench by the window) though they have some seats outdoors when the weathers nice. The vegan gf tahini chocolate chip cookie is amazing. The croissant was disappointing. Overall, a great addition to the neighborhood

Yelp
The coffee was okay, but the girl that works here has a very nasty attitude. From the moment we walked she was giving us the attitude. It is like she doesn't won't us to be here, or she doesn't won't to work her. We WON'T come back for sure.

Jane D.

Yelp
Such a cute spot and friendly staff! The coffee and treats are great too! Wonderful addition to The neighborhood

Michelle V.

Yelp
I love, love, love this place. The baristas are soooo nice. Especially one girl - she will always start conversation and is so sweet. The baked goods are excellent & so is the coffee. Only reason I am giving them 4 stars is that the schedule seems so inconsistent. Sometimes, I'll go and they should be open but will be closed. Not sure if it's a staffing issue, maybe COVID related. Anyway - such a cute place and great addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp
Absolutely love this new little gem! Went the weekend after opening and would've thought they'd been in business for years. The barista was so excited and recommended our drinks, and they were delicious!! So lucky to live so close. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
