Sorrel Debuts New Tasting Menu at Pacific Heights Restaurant | Eater SF

"In Pacific Heights, I've noticed the hotspot Sorella launched a new prix-fixe menu yesterday, reviving the days when it operated as a weekly tasting-menu pop-up; guests can expect a five-course meal for $85 with wine pairings available for $55 and other bonuses for an extra splurge. For now the tasting pulls selections from the regular menu, but chef Alex Hong hopes to add items exclusive to the tasting in the future." - Janelle Bitker

I moved into Sorella about a month ago with Zeni being my contact in the office. Zeni has been wonderful throughout the process, going above and beyond to get me moved in ASAP. Even dealing with a loud rambunctious neighbor above me, Zeni has been very sympathetic and is working with me to find a solution. I like that the apartments are spacious with high ceilings and modern with updated appliances. The black, white, and grey color scheme to the apartments is very aesthetically pleasing in my opinion, too. All-in-all I’ve enjoyed living here so far, but it’s Zeni’s attentiveness, taking the time to answer all my questions and listening to any concerns I have, that has made my move here seamless.

I’ve lived at Sorella Apartments in Herriman for about six months, and I’ve honestly loved it here! The amenities are awesome — the pool and gym are super nice, and everything is always really clean. The new staff is great too — super friendly and quick to help out with anything you need. The community feels safe and welcoming, and it’s just a really nice place to come home to. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a great spot in Herriman!

The staff members were very helpful and friendly. Shout out Brynn. I love the complex and the area! The most beautiful apartment I have yet to see. However, I would really love to have had an EV charger on the grounds of the complex. It is very inconvenient to not have a charger where you live if you have an electric car.

The apartments themselves are fine and nice, my main issue was when it came time to move out, they kept my 500$ deposit which I was expecting but I was also charged with over 200$ on top of that.. for an insane amount of “ratio utilities” which totaled more than my months when I was actually living and paying my normal rent. I have rented for 10 years and never have got a move out bill for over 700$. They charged over 330$ for needed whole repaint which was definitely not needed. The community amenities are fine, sometimes clean, sometimes not, they just feel cold. Also, the pool is always freezing cold no matter the time of year. Over half the pool doesn’t receive direct sunlight due to the buildings so even the hottest days of summer the pool felt like an ice berg that always left my child shivering. Be expected to not receive any of your deposit back and owe money on top. Such a rip off.

The leasing office is amazing, I was attended by a wonderful girl named Zeni and she helped me through the whole process, she was patient regardless of my lack of understanding when she was explaining things over. I can definitely say have a wonderful staff that you can communicate your concerns to! Guaranteed to have things taken care of.

I want to give a big thank you to Zeni at Sorella Apartments! She has been so helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. Any time I had questions, she was patient, kind, and always made sure I felt comfortable and taken care of. It’s rare to find someone who truly goes above and beyond, and Zeni does just that. I really appreciate her professionalism and the welcoming environment she creates at Sorella.

Living at Sorella has been frustrating. The property advertises itself as peaceful, but noise is constant — loud music and late-night disturbances are rarely addressed. In just a year and a half, there have been three different management companies, and staff continue to be ineffective at resolving problems. Cleanliness is poor, pest issues (like spiders) go untreated, and communication among residents can be difficult due to language barriers, with little effort from management to set clear community standards. Overall, Sorella is poorly managed and does not provide the comfortable living experience it promises.
