I’ve been around the world eating pizza. I am an absolute pizza connoisseur. My son and I got a margarita pizza well done. There was absolutely zero flop, the perfect undercarriage. The crust was crispy, yet crunchy, so perfect! The sauce was on point. The cheese was definitely a good quality, for there wasn’t any grease on my pie. The pie also had the perfect amount of tomatoes and basil, it was a nice even distribush! The restaurant itself was really really clean, but, the service was even cleaner. Thank you Kenneth(Kenny) for a great dining experience!

I was just passing by and craving Italian when I decided to make a U-turn and stop in at Sorella. The owner happened to be there and, to my surprise, she kindly called the chef out to see if they could create a fully vegan dish for me by omitting any dairy. What I received was a specially tailored Spaghetti Pomodoro — simple, fresh, and absolutely delicious. 🍝🌱 The combination of ripe tomatoes, garlic, basil, and olive oil over perfectly cooked pasta hit the spot. It wasn’t just the food that made the experience memorable; it was the care behind it. The chef took the time to customize the dish, and the owner made sure my satisfaction mattered. That kind of effort means a lot, and it turned a good meal into something genuinely special. Thank you, Sorella! 🙏✨

To our family, Sorella's is a Bakersfield Staple If you haven't been, you must try it out at least once . My husband and i love both love the Lamb chops, and I often order the Lasagna. Our last visit, we both changed it up a but and i ordered the Lobster Ravioli and my husband ordered the Cioppino . I didn't care for mine as much as I like the spinach Ravioli here, so I wouldn't order tge Lobster Ravioli again. I'll stick to my favorites, lol. My husband loved his Cioppino, I didn't try his, but WOW, it looked yummy . My grandchildren ordered the Alfredo. I believe chicken and loved theres. Yes, you can take children its a great place for family's or just a date night. Just rest remember its a family owned restaurant nit a big chain, so enjoy .

Good Italian food with an intimate setting. Plenty of food options regarding Italian cuisine with the added steak and seafood options. The steak was okay. They were large portions 18 Oz. However they seem to be a little bit on the overcooked side and left room for improvement with regards to taste. I was expecting quality similar to high end steak house but was disappointed. The steam veggies were perfectly soft. The pasta cuisine looked presentable. Didn't hear anybody complaining with regard to taste of pasta. Service was rather fast. Server was friendly and the whole staff was very welcoming.

The service and atmosphere was spot on. They were able to seat five of us without any wait on a Friday evening. The food was lack luster. The four plates of pasta did not look fresh. They had the crust overed/settled look about them. My antipasta salad was an absolutely disappointment. It was a large salad, meant for two people. It had six thinly sliced pieces of salami (left whole), six slices of mozzarella, six whole can style black olives. It is a $20 entree salad, therefore should reflect it. For future, perhaps Sorella could chop all the ingredients to hide the lack of ingredients

I love this place. Great Italian food. My go to is the Canalloni. On Fridays the have a steak special. They cook am awsome Ribeye. Great value. Good food.

A critical opinion (the good, the bad and the ugly) We called ahead the restaurant about we coming over, upon arriving we were seated right away at a nice corner booth, we all three ordered a Filet Mignon with a baked potato and salad. Our salads where served timely and was offered cheese and freshly ground pepper (nice detail) upon finishing, our Steaks were served and they were cooked just as we asked and were very good. After finishing eating server left the bill, and few minutes later came back to pick up the payment, we visited for about 10 more minutes before leaving, at no time they offered to take away/clear empty plates from the table, (good service just not complete). Now the ugly...their menu section for the steaks and specialty dinners do not list prices instead they are MARKET PRICE, I don't like to order something without knowing what the price is (don't like surprises) so I asked the server she mentioned $47.95ish, bill listed at $50.99. I would have feel embarrassed if I had asked to have price corrected so I didn't, I have always felt that restaurants use this strategy as to overcharged the guest, in my opinion is shameless at the very least...(maybe illegal (SB478)

Sorellas is my go to Italian spot when I'm looking for traditional, comforting, and delicious Italian food. From the pizza, to the meatballs, to the steak- everything is top notch. Personal favorite is The Chicken Artichoke Penne- it is creamy, flavorful, and not your everyday choice. Pair it with a side salad and it's perfection! Cannot recommend this place enough.

A group of us went to Sorella's for a Christmas get-together. We had the back room reserved for our event, and it was spacious enough to accommodate our group of 14. The server was pleasant and attentive. I ordered my usual clams and linguine, which came with a choice of soup or salad. I chose a salad with bleu cheese dressing on the side. The dressing was tasty and had nice chunks of bleu cheese in it. The linguine had a good amount of unshelled clams, but the number of shelled clams was much lower than in the past. The flavor was very garlic-forward with a strong wine taste. I know it's made with white wine, but it was pretty overpowering this time. For dessert, I was torn between the lava cake and the spumoni. The server suggested getting the lava cake with a scoop of spumoni, and it was so yummy although a bit rich and sweet together. I will continue to go to Sorella's for my clams and linguine since there are only a few places in town that offer it on the menu. The food and ambiance are always good at Sorella's.

The restaurant was so nice and quiet despite being busy. Service was good and food was so delicious! Tortellini carbonara is my favorite! I order it without the mushrooms. The minestrone soup is the best one I've had.

Came in with a reservation on a Friday evening to celebrate my Girl's Graduation and decided to order a filet with pasta. She had the spaghetti w hers and I had the spicy vodka sauce on penne. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and we were happy! Service was great as always and we enjoyed our experience. Sorella's is a great choice for a date night, celebrations, or just when you're craving a great Italian Meal.

We arrived at the restaurant as a large party of 18. We were seated immediately in our reserved area. Service of cold water and warm bread started promptly. Our appetizer orders were taken quickly while we continued to peruse the menu to make our final decisions on entrees. The appetizer trio was excellent. The calamari was light and flaky. The zucchini was fried perfectly and paired well with the ranch. The mozzarella sticks had the perfect cheese pull and the marinara was very tasty. The crab cakes were big and flavorful. I had the steak with shrimp scampi and the dish was great. The steak was cooked perfectly and the scampi was bursting with flavor. The wine was Devine! The desserts tasted like they came from a pastry God! I highly recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area!

This was my first time dining here and I was not disappointed! Clam chowder was delicious followed by ribeye steak with scallops over pasta. Took home dinner for my family. Veal Parmesan, spicy vodka penne, spaghetti and tiramisu for dessert. Everyone loved their meals. We will most definitely be back! Taking off one star only because I was out of water for a while. The could use someone to just check tables for drink needs.

Last night we had dinner here. I made reservations with no problem so that was great! I felt rushed by our waiter, he wasn't the friendliest it didn't feel Ginuwine. He wasn't helpful on drinks or menu. Our appetizers were great! No hesitation on waiting. But my dinner wasn't too much. I ordered some kind of seafood pasta and blah!! It wasn't good at all! We asked for dessert to go and our waiter kinda nag on doing it. Like he was forced to do his job!

If you haven't been to Sorellas Happy Hour yet, here's your cue to go! We had beef ravioli, fettuccine Alfredo, with salads, bread and butter and wine all under $60! The food is delicious, service is great and you can't beat the value!

Who knew they had awesome Happy Hour specials? Loved the options including house-made ravioli. Can also recommend the Bruschetta pizza! We'll be back!

Best Italian restaurant in Bakersfield. Love the ambience The service is fantastic super friendly and very professional. Now let's talk about the amazing food. Their pasta dishes all of them are excellent. And let's not forget their ribeye steak. Oh my goodness the best in town. Great for a date night, a family night, or even to throw a party they have a great staff that can accommodate large parties

My man and I had a prompt reservation for 6:30pm, we arrived on time but still had to wait 15 minutes to get seated. To start we order an appetizer: Crab Cakes They came out lukewarm and had a unappealing look on the inside. Returned them immediately (do not recommend). As we waited on our entree 40 miniature had gone by when we were told they had Lamb Chops available. Instead I order the Filet Mignon with fettuccine as a side and my boyfriend order ribeye steak with the same side. Both were juicy and tender. Were glad we stayed but it took over an hour to receive them. Overall the place was nice and would recommend.

I went to have dinner with some girlfriends and I couldn't recommend our server Carrie more! I would come back just for her. I'm a bartender myself so I can be a little critical when it comes to wait staff, but she went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. It's the little attention to details that make or break a place and Carrie made us feel so special!

I've gotten the chance to enjoy Sorella's both dine in and take-out. It's very classic Italian food. Hearty and delicious. Very classic, no frills, just good! While in the restaurant, I enjoyed the minestrone starter and penne bolognese. One of the things that is great about Sorella's take-out is that they have family style options. You can order an entire family tray, which is perfect for large family gatherings. You can pick trays ala carter or you can get a whole family pack that comes with salad, bread and pasta.

The service was great. Very efficient and welcoming. We had a reservation for 10 at 630 and got seated early which was great. The food was really good over all. The steak came out too rare to our liking so we sent it back. They corrected their error right away. Great place to eat with family, would recommend.

A medium-large group of family met here after a funeral last week. I've been before, but it has been quite some time (as in, years). Right away we were seated in a lovely banquet room and attended to. Our server, Johnny, was very accommodating and friendly. He almost single-handedly took care of us all- drink orders from the bar, waters, sodas, bread, butter, all of the things. He was especially kind to my family and we all very much appreciated that. I know by reputation that the food here is delectable. I've never heard a bad word spoken. This day was no exception. I ordered the lemon chicken tortellini salad & believe me when I say my tastebuds were dancing. My sister ordered a lunch special that had a pasta that I dream about. Artichoke, mushrooms, olives, Alfredo sauce.. it was a pasta lovers dream come true. All in all, the service was exceptional as was the food. Best of the best.

Avoid the chicken parmesan at all costs. What they pass off as "chicken" is nothing more than a sad, flavorless, processed nugget--indistinguishable from the bulk-packaged chicken you'd find at Costco. For $25, you'd think they'd serve a freshly breaded fillet, but no, you're stuck with a glorified cafeteria patty drowning in sauce and cheese. Sorella's used to be a favorite, but this is the second time their chicken dishes have been an utter letdown--the piccata last time was just as bad, a rubbery mess that tasted like someone squeezed a lemon onto old leather. The pizza? Barely passable, overly salty (might be the cheese), and chewy. To top it off, service was inconsistent, since our server was too busy catering to a birthday party to bother with us. What a disappointment from a place I once held in such high regard. I'll be taking my business to Frugatti's from now on.

We loved the pasta with meat sauce and meatballs!! The quantity was enough for 2 people, and the sauce was richly savory!! The salad was also very adequate, and the dressing was tasty. The only part of the that was disappointing was the bread. Very UNEXCITING on all fronts! The service was very good!

Very nice ambiance. The restaurant was very elegant. We came in staving and left overly full and had plenty of leftovers to take. Started with mushrooms. They were so good and the green stuff that they give you for the bread was very good. We had the #3 and the Tortellini Cesar salad on the lunch menu. Tortellini on salad sounded strange but was surprisingly delicious. But the best dish by far was the chicken artichoke pasta. I highly recommend Sorella. I can't wait to try the steak next time. And a big shot out to our very friendly and enjoyable waitress, Carry. She was lovely.

Sorella's has been our Valentine date spot for years and we will continue to go every year. Great food and great service

I had the best evening at Sorella's with my oldest girlfriend and bestest friend. At first we had a small wait to get a table but the teeny bar was a nice place to start off airing the vino for the meal. We were seated at a cute booth with a candle, which prompted me to turn and say to her that this was definitely our Galentine's dinner. The waitress Madison was prompt, well versed and absolutely pivotal or our enjoyment. She was so attentive and full of suggestions to keep the night flowing. It was a Saturday night and at first there was no music but then when there was -but it seemed like the soundtrack repeated after only a handful of songs. That was fine though as we did not really run out of things to talk or laugh about. We had amazing steaks, sides were "mid" but the desserts were so fun! We went with combining the Carmel Cheesecake with Bananas Foster.

Anytime I want italian I come here for there fettuccine Alfredo with breaded chicken as the Alfredo sauce is creamy and Rich, the breaded chicken is always a golden brown and juicy, the noodles are perfectly cooked and the house bread tastes like it's baked fresh everyday. The service is on par with the food exceptional with a welcoming feel. I've been to this restaurant at least a dozen times and each time I'm never disappointed

The only great food was the bread they gave us before the meal. The service was good. The chicken cacciatore was watery and the steamed vegetables were barely warmed. The halibut was dried out. We ordered the 'dog bones' appetizer it was not much os an appetizer. Not sure I will ever go back.

Had a fabulous lunch here today with my friend for her birthday! We shared the baked halibut with angel hair pasta and salad-bread was wonderful! Desert was presented beautifully and really made her feel special! Sabrina our server was amazing! Thank you so very much!

Our servers name was Johnny, and he was fantastic. He had excellent recommendations for food and drink. We shared a plate and Johnny recommended paying $3 more to have an extra salad and extra pasta to share. The ambiance was calming and intimate. We had a wonderful dinner with our family.

It is always better to call ahead and make a reservation; it's a busy place. The food is delicious from the pizza to the main dishes you won't be disappointed. My son had the steak and he loved every bite. One time, we were sat at a big table that was in the middle of the room and a couple was so impressed by my family (I have young boys) that they treated us to dessert. I was proud of my family. I have been coming to Sorella for years with my family and we have always loved it. After moving away to Ventura 3 years ago, I had to come give this place a visit again and I was so happy we did. Made restervations at 6:30 for a party of 6 on a Saturday and when we arrived, they were so busy! After checking in with the hostess, we were seated at our table within 5-10 minutes. We we were seated in a room near the bar and the bar was so cute with such cute lighting in there. The room itself had great ambiance. We received the menu and it has so much on there! Variety is good in my opinion and this place defenitly has that. I ordered the Italian trio which I customized and consisted of Chicken Parmagian, Spaghetti, and mushroom ravioli. The chicken parm was HANDS DOWN THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. So much flavor in that chicken and the sauce is amazing! The spaghetti was also so good! Once of the best ones I've had in a long time. However the mushroom ravioli with Alfredo sauce was not good, did not enjoy it or tried eating it after the first bite so I would just not recommend you getting this. I probably would have liked it more if I had picked the red sauce. That's one of the best things about this place also, choosing and customizing pasta/sauces. The ceaser salad is one of the best ones I've had and HUGE PORTION. The filet mignon my mother ordered was also amazing. Perfectly cooked to medium and flavored so well. Overall we love this place. This place just delivers time after time and we love the consistency. Thank you Sorellas for feeding me and my families for years, we super appreciate you guys. Until next time.

Salads is delicious, it's not just a salad it's nice an cold an crisp, their homemade ranch is pretty great too. Their cheese ravioli with Alfredo sauce is creamy. I have been coming here for 15 years, maybe longer. Tonight's steak was by far the best I have had here, I was starting to lose hope in Sorella's as I have felt the quality and service has been going downhill, however this dinner was redemption points for them. I ordered one of my usuals, the filet mignon with grilled prawns and I get the steamed broccoli. My filet was very good, and the prawns are always an easy win.

Really really good pasta, large portions as well and every pasta comes with a side salad and bread! The appetizers were ordered were meh though not super tasty and not worth the price. This place is expensiveeee, I think I didn't see anything less than like $20 unless it was like a soda or something. Lots of options, even stuff I haven't seen at other Italian restaurants before, and they don't just have pasta but fancy stuff like Ribeye and Filet Mignon! You definitely pay for quality here! Service wise they were really nice, great attitudes, sat us fast, brought out our food fast, got us out fast too haha. Nice people! Inside there is tons and tons of seating, It looked like there were multiple rooms to go into, and it looked like it was good for groups too. During the day I wouldn't say it gave an intimate date vibe but at night it probably does!

I was promised a pizza for a a mistake that they made. When I called a few weeks later, they had no idea what I was talking about. A couple of months ago, I show up to pick up a another pizza; it was never made! I had to wait for 30 minutes and they barely gave me a tiny discount. Then, just the other day, I asked for marinara sauce for the cheese bread and a ranch when I ordered through Uber. The food shows up and no ranch or marinara. Cheapos! They put profit over customers. Just remember this when showing up.

Went to Sorella's for dinner. Took my sister and her two daughters who had been there before. We're visiting from out of town. First, our waiter, Kenneth, was great. He was friendly while being professional and very efficient. Meals were served promptly and the food was terrific. You don't often see manicotti using crêpes. My wife was thrilled. She loved them. At the recommendation of my niece, I had lasagna and it was very tasty as well. The lighting was rather dim, but added to the ambience. The dining room was well decorated, and the seats were comfortable. It was very comfortable and clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Sorella's when you're visiting, or for that matter live in, Bakersfield.

I have only eaten here in person maybe twice. However, I have ordered from them for Togo and delivery multiple times. Their prices are a little high, but the quality and portion sizes are positively reflective of such. They also are very accommodating of special requests in my experiences. Very friendly front hostess.

My husband and I went here to celebrate my birthday. It was our first time trying it. I got manicotti and hubby got lobster ravioli. It wasn't bad, but wasn't the best. The cheese manicotti needed meat or veggies and I think it would have been much better. We would give it a second chance. Our waiter was amazing! Very nice, bubbly, attentive! The whole place is really nice!

I always passed by this place and we finally decided to try it so we did take out. The beef ravioli was just not it. Those ravioli have been in the freezer for a long time and It tasted like the ones from Costco 100%! For the price for the dish I expected a Burst of flavor when biting into the ravioli, but it was not it. The only thing we liked was the bread.

I always go to Sorella whenever I am in Bakersfield. The food was exceptional and the waiter Jaime was very friendly, efficient and responsive to our needs. Highly recommend!

Our first time and we will be back for sure. Everything from the bread to the tiramisu was amazing! Our waiter , David was attentive and helpful with our questions. We shared the ribeye and shrimp scampi, hubby had soup, I had a dinner salad. Everything was delicious

Went to Sorella Monday for the first time, it was six o'clock and they were doing good business. First, everyone at the hosting station and on the floor were very young; fine, but it does indicate that employees don't stay. Ordered a manhattan and a martini up with a twist. Our wait came back and said they couldn't make a manhattan because they had no sweet vermouth ( at an Italian restaurant!?) and my martini arrived with an olive. Ordered a Cesar and antipasto salad. The Cesar had sliced, canned black olives, supermarket croutons and a vinaigrette that did not resemble the appropriate dressing, the antipasto salad was just as lame. The lettuce was fresh and crisp! At that point we cancelled our entrees, paid and walked. It was obvious that nobody cared. I asked a friend who has been there many times what they liked about it. They said, "The steaks".

Giving this 3 solid stars. The place feels "cozy" and most of the staff are friendly. I did go with a party of 10 on a Saturday night so it's was loud and busy , which I do not mind. Now let's get into the food... it was just ok. Nothing stood out. I got the trio plate which comes with fettuccine Alfredo lasagna and chicken parm. The soup was again just ok. The service was a little rushed and servers did forget some items over and over. They were all friendly but kind of all over the place. Understandable since we were a big party . I don't think I will be returning as my choice of restaurant, nothing was worth coming back for. Prices are a little higher than Olive Garden to give an idea.

Lived in Bakersfield for 20 years came to this Italian restaurant food was ok but I felt rushed to leave. Server comes can I bring you a box I said, I'm still eating we had just got our food. I was on a date with my husband trying a new place, that alone ruined my date. I felt rushed to eat and leave. I will not be coming back. I will instead go to Mama Mia's? Or Luigi's.

First timer !!! Took my daughters out to eat (14 & 5) and everything was amazing. Service was spot on , recommendations were informative and most of all the food was delicious. My kids and myself loved every bite. Did I mention the service was great they really made my daughters feel special and they kept raving on how "fancy" it was lol. We will definitely be back to try out more options on the menu.

This place is close and I have eaten there three times. It is average at best. The resteraunt is nice and clean and the service is average. It is okay. Just okay. I probably will not return there is nothing with their food that says lets go eat their again. Not a bad place but a wobbler in my opinion, and we all know about opinions......

Had reservations at 2, just in case it was busy. I could tell by the empty parking lot it wasn't. Even tho it was empty, we waited a few mins before getting our table. 5 mins later we were given bread and was told our waiter would be coming. 20 mins later still no waiter. During this time, the only occupied table next to us, their waiter came by 3 times asking how everything was. I noticed this same waiter telling another waiter something and she looked over at our table. She had a tray of drinks, I figured she would go give those drinks and then come take our drink orders at the least. She never reappeared from the other side. My husband had to flag down another waiter and asks him where was our waiter, telling him we haven't even got our drinks ordered and it's been 20 mins. This waiter with a deer in headlights look, doesn't even apologize and asks us what we'd like to drink. My son's ready to eat and starts ordering what he'd like and the waiter asks him again what'd he like to drink. After he gets our drink orders, he lets us know he'll go get our waiter. Then the lady that had the drinks reappear and the waiter that took our drinks, went and spoke with her. Again, she just looks over at our table. They disappear into the kitchen. The waiter for the table next to us, shows up immediately afterwards and asks what we would like. Told him we were leaving, after waiting 20 mins and barely got our drinks ordered. No apology. It would make sense if they were packed. We used to really love coming here but their service is terrible now. Also, from the other reviews, their food seems to have gone downhill. Wouldn't recommend this place anymore.

Took my wife out on a date last night TASTY! The Food was Amazing as well! I think it's harder and harder to find good Italian food, but you should give this place a try!!
