I usually go to sorelina 5,6 times a year for the past 5 years and it had been good. But not sure if they had a change of chef or owner or the recipe, the food is just not the same as before! My go to dish was the pistachio cream pasta. It was creamy and falvorful with a heavy nutty taste. For the last two times I went, it was watery and blend. Barely any nutty flavor but just watery pasta. Can’t remember how much the price was before but it also definitely went up quite a lot. Average spending around $75 per person for the last two times I went. At this point, the food quality went down with higher pricing. I just don’t think it is worth it anymore. The second dish was lobster pasta. The lobster was so fishy it just didn’t taste fresh at all… we also ordered one drink each person with appetizers to go up to around 75 per person after tax and tips

I ordered the braised short rib tortellini and it was AMAZING, highly recommend.

Came into this place by mistake, but I’m glad I did. The food was amazing The service was great as well. Our server Jose had great knowledge of the menu and his recommendations were very good. Looking forward to coming back here and trying out more of the menu.

Google
Walked in on a Friday night and was able to get a seat at the bar. The atmosphere was great, decorated for the holidays and cozy vibe. We started with holiday cocktails - gingerbread espresso martini and peppermint mocha espresso martini, both fabulous. As for food, we got the squash and ricotta for an app - this was a cold dish and very small. Dinner we got pistachio and bolognese pastas. Both fresh but could have used more flavor in my opinion. A little pricey for pasta but overall good experience.

Google
My favorite restaurant in Hoboken! The first time I went around Christmas and the decor was so cute. Highly recommend the gingerbread martini. The staff is attentive and all the food I've had there is fantastic.

Google
My first time coming to Sorellina & everything was absolutely delicious!!!! I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to finally come here. The rigatoni bolognese was sooo good. I will be coming back again soon. The Christmas decor inside was so beautiful. Great way to celebrate the holiday season.

Google
Our first time visiting this place for brunch. We waited 45 mins to be served burnt toast. Possibly not a good day for the chef. Service is ok. When we complained about the toast we were told - its for flavor. Well… i have photos here. All i know is if it’s black it’s burned.

Google
Came here with a group of friends for drinks and to check out the atmosphere. The bar staff was very friendly and helped us decide on what drinks to try. We decided to have some food and again the staff was great about helping us choose items for a cheese and meat board that went well together. Food was great and the portion sizes were good. Great place for a date night or drinks out with friends.

Yelp
I had such a lovely dinner at Sorellina Hoboken. The menu has quite a dinner selection. The pistachio pasta stood out to me on the menu, and it did not disappoint. If you love pistachios and pasta, this is a must have. The burrata was delicious with a nice sized portion side of toasted bread. I topped off my meal with a nice tiramisu- a perfect shareable size or for you to enjoy on your own. I definitely will be back to try more outstanding options!

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place, but I was so disappointed when my food came out cold. The flavor was there, but you just can't enjoy a meal as much when it's cold. Was hard to track our waiter down, but the restaurant itself is aesthetically pleasing!

Brittany F.

Yelp
The food here is always great! The pasta is homemade. The ambiance is perfect for date night or girls night out. The service is also good. The wine and cocktails are incredible.

Yelp
It was decorated very cute for Christmas! They also had the best peppermint espresso. My favorite pasta was the cacio e Pepe. The wine flights also were very good, and nice servers.

Yelp
(Dined 07/12/2023 WE @ 5:45pm): Sorellina shouldn't feel like a younger sister to anyone! My friend wanted to try Sorellina - and their Wednesday Wine Flight Special, so that's all it took! As much as I loved Italian food, I rarely dined out at such restaurants except when it came to pizza. As I continued to explore Hoboken, there truly was an alluring energy about this town. Would this eatery change my "sore" attitude, or would I "lean" a little in their favor!? PURCHASE Bread & Butter Spread (COMP): We could've easily filled up on the fresh slices of bread along with the whipped butter spread but we didn't. 3-White Wine Taster Flight ($18.00 x2): This was a great way to try wines new to me, and all were lovely! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=wK9RkMjLzpjxqf8nVNS2qg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Fried Calamari Antipasti ($18.00): A large portion of crispy squid rings, these were da bomb! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=bbmGJOsP9hLtB3lPMTog9g&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Mortadella & Melon Antipasti ($17.00): I enjoyed the thinly-sliced meat that paired well with the bread, but I wasn't impressed. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=gpVjVGDwPfHCDMJoA-U-iQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Caesar Salad ($12.00): This simple salad with the interesting green dressing, was a pleasant palate cleanser. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=7i_zlvKiUYYw_uJ08oVDWg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Lobster Scampi ($32.00): The pasta was lovely, the flavors jumped out at you, and there was lobster in every bite! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=0rXRs1CLOVZuq4sEHSKmdw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Grilled Branzino ($32.00): A simple dish, the fish was flaky and meaty but wished there was more to it. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=1ChDtxUYWZVEVhOFxlEV-g&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw 2019 Friuli Friulano Scarbolo White Wine 4floz Glass ($12.00 x2): From a taster to a full glass of creamy sweetness, I paired this with dessert. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Ja2-bVEjabu7hJLT7zim9A&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw 7 Layer Cookie Cake ($12.00): The vibrant colors caught my attention, but the separate flavors of almond cake, raspberry jam, and stracciatella gelato solidified its worthiness. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Qq6NZjT8UcM4tMT3Mw1cIQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw 3-Scoop [Sweet Cream, Pistachio, Blood Orange-Basil Sorbetto] Gelato ($9.00): At $3.00/scoop, this was a pricey but delectable dessert. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=JrAjgayu9yN9VgIX8dyWQg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Mandatory Credit Card Fee (3.00%): C'est la vie... SERVICE With reservations, we were warmly greeted by a friendly young hostess who showed us to a great corner table that allowed us to watch the world pass us by. Our excited male server gave us menus, explained the evening's specials, made some recommendations, provided water, and gave us time to decide. Once we were ready, he was attentive the entire time as everything came out in a timed cadence so the table never got crowded with empties - bellissimo! PARKING (Street Only; N/A this instance) We took a Lyft here. Otherwise, as was the case for much of Hoboken, there were limited spots along the main drag of Washington St.. and all surrounding streets unless you were lucky enough to find an empty spot, or you took public transportation which stopped nearby - nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A darling corner location, colorful flower baskets decorated the black metal railing used to enclose the eatery along the sidewalk that later converted into an outdoor dining space, the interior was simply charming https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Q6XektjSzUKOxTbB6Iyicg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw with a mix of brick, tiling, and wood along with a quaint bar. Tables were placed side-by-side throughout for a more communal feel. Plenty of natural lighting flooded in through the surrounding large glass windows and front doors while various electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. I noticed a couple blank TVs while international music played in the background music. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=fuyIaLfDN8941_7ih-TX2g&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL We had a brilliant evening at Sorellina, and were generally impressed from start to finish. The food menu was a bit curtailed but varied enough. They also had weekday happy hour specials. I felt the prices were reasonable, the food was incredible, portions were large, and the service impeccable. And, whenever possible I liked to support small family-owned or local businesses. I found exceptionally good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $209.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.5 STARS

Yelp
Really disappointed at this place. So many high hopes. The service is very slow. Yes, the people are nice but it doesn't make up for being slow and not attending to the table/not checking in. The ambiance is definitely gorgeous especially during holiday time. The drinks were good for sure. We had the espresso martini and the merry-spritzmas off their holiday menu. Appetizers were good - we had the hummus and the ricotta dish. The entrees however were so salty and dull. I had the braised rib Tortillini. It was so extremely salty. The braised rib was stuff in the Tortillini was over stuffed. The lobster fettuccine was also very salty and tasted straight out of the ocean. The manicotti was good (without meat). The autumn spaghetti (not sure the official name of the dish) was okay. We ended with the gingerbread tiramisu and it was not good at all. It is not your classic tiramisu dish. Overall I'd only return to visit the bar but never the food.

Yelp
I still adore this place! They change the menu often so if you see something, get it. I missed out on a dish I wanted to try so that's on me. The food here is delicious! I tried a new lobster pasta dish (gluten free) and loved it as well & my husband had the steak and potatoes and he was over the moon! We had a cheese plate appetizer which was delicious. I opted for an Aperol Spritz and my husband had the Negroni. All was delectable! The only disappointment was they gave bread the first couple of times & they started to charge for it. I don't eat but my husband enjoyed. I would consider bread by request only and people won't feel that something is missing. Otherwise, perfection!

Yelp
We went here for a birthday dinner and were very pleased with all of the food we got. Everything was very rich & flavorful, and I loved the texture of the pasta. Our waiter was nice but a little bit pushy, but not so much it took away from the experience.

Abby G.

Yelp
Not safe for those with allergies or dietary restrictions. The pomodoro is fish based... not disclosed anywhere and was incredibly surprising and upsetting. Employees were unbothered by this and it ruined our meal. Overly expensive for what you get. Loud, dark, slow service and unimpressive food. Would not come again, nor recommend it. All it takes on a menu is the mention of "contains fish" on a dish that traditionally does not contain fish to solve this.

Maddie M.

Yelp
This place is such a hidden gem in Hoboken! I've been told Hoboken is known for their Italian and this place did not disappoint! Started with their apertivo happy hour, which included a list of different spritz. My spritz had sorbet in it and it was the perfect summer drink. The wine was not great, but it was happy hour so I'm sure it was bottom self. The blueberry burrata w pesto was literally to die for. If you get anything here please get that because I literally still think about that stuff in my sleep. Also they have a list of homemade pastas which were delish. If I lived in the area I'd go back and try others! Our server was very sweet and kind and even brought out ice cream for my friend's birthday without us asking! How he knew it was her birthday we still aren't sure lol. All in all, this was such a delightful experience and very relaxing after a busy weekend in nyc.

Yelp
4.5 stars Despite having a mediocre past experience at Sorellina, I had come to love their sister restaurant, Sirenetta, and decided that I needed to return to give it another chance. I was thrilled that I did, as this visit was spectacular!! The restaurant was very cozy and warm; it resembled an old tavern. Our server was efficient, though I would not say he was overly friendly; either way, he got the job done quickly and accurately. We asked if we could start with mocktails, as neither of us was in the mood to drink that evening. I went for a non-alcoholic version of their new, seasonal peach drink, while my brother got something infused with ginger. Both were sweet and refreshing. We were then approached with the offer of focaccia or semolina bread, of which I took a slice of each. Both breads were soft and fluffy, and the focaccia had been infused with herbs. The slices were served with a tangy red pepper butter. The meal was off to a great start, and it only got better from there. We decided to share the Seared Scallops appetizer, which included quartered scallops and white sweet potatoes that had been tossed with watercress in a sesame aioli. The heavy infusion of sesame gave the dish an almost Asian flare. The scallops were perfectly cooked, as well. It was a surprising and creative use of ingredients that really just worked. For my main course, I went with the Spaghetti, which was looped around roasted tomatoes. There had been ricotta somewhere in the mound of pasta, but it had melted into it. When I twirled my fork into the spaghetti, I found a layer of zucchini pesto beneath it. I mixed everything up, and the tomato, pesto, and cheese melded into this intensely flavorful sauce. Who knew that one of the most basic pastas on the menu would turn out to be so multi-dimensional! My brother also selected a pasta as his entrée, and the Lamb Tortellini was similarly incredible. The delicate noodle dumplings were stuffed with hearty, savory pulled lamb. They were served with sliced carrots and over a carrot puree, with a dash of sweet chili for an extra pop. Wow, was that lamb heavenly! Lastly, we simply had to order a slice of the 7-Layer Cookie Cake, which was essentially a giant rectangular rainbow cookie. The cake layers had been coated with an aromatic almond oil, which left them really moist. There was homemade, low sugar raspberry jam in layers within the pastry and use to decorate the plate. Speaking of the plating, there were also toasted, sliced almonds for an added crunch and roasted flavor to balance the sweetness. There was also a scoop of stracciatella (chocolate chip) gelato that was packed a great balance of vanilla and chocolate. Ahh, even talking/writing about this experience just makes me want to return to Sorellina. What a delicious meal!

Mikayla P.

Yelp
Not to be dramatic, but one of the best pasta dishes I've had at a restaurant. My friends also got two other pasta dishes and they were all equally delicious. Great service, did not feel rushed to leave once dinner was over. Please go!

SL D.

Yelp
And I m being generous! Went here to celebrate my wife's birthday Service was slow, ambience was loud and could not hear my wife from across the table We started with Nona's meatballs which were good and charcuterie which lacked presentation and variety Had the bolognese for my entree which was good awful, lacked any seasoning and salt Was recommended by my Irish BIL, that should have been the first signed Will not go back

Genia N.

Yelp
Unlike its sister Sirenetta, this place is pretty mediocre. I'm sure it's fine if you're just grabbing a drink but the food always leaves me underwhelmed. I thought something changed since I last went in 2020 and I hate to report that it didn't. I love pasta but the pasta entrees I had here were not great. Maybe it was an off day for the chef. That said, the service is always friendly and the atmosphere is nice.

Jocelyn L.

Yelp
This is a cute spot on a corner with mostly pasta options. I got the pistachio rigatoncini which was sooo good & interesting! It was a mixture of a creamy pistachio sauce with fresh pistachios, bacon & shrimp. I know it sounds weird but wow it was delicious. My friend had the calamarata pomodoro which had crab meat, tomatoes & was slightly sweet. We had a white wine and a red which paired very well with my pistachio pasta, it was delicious but I can't remember the name! The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because I am pretty sure they forgot about us. We were sitting outside and waited about 60 minutes for our meal to come out which was frustrating because we were hungry!! The waiter came rushing to us and he was out of breath after us waiting about an hour. The food was pleasant but waiting that long for pasta made no sense to me.

Nonya B.

Yelp
My burrata strozzapretti tasted like nothing I've ever had before, in the worst way possible. There was barely any burrata, no sauce, dry noodles, under seasoned mushrooms, pieces of corn kernels in it. The starting bread and arancini was good. Kale salad was dry with bizarre large chunks of cookie. The prices were pretty high for how mediocre the food was.

Kourtnie F.

Yelp
We went to the always nicely decorated Sorellina for brunch and overall the food and experience was good for sure. The dining room was surprisingly empty when we went which was nice as it could get crowded! Our server was helpful however, the only thing we were confused about was she kept saying we don't have enough salad bases left for everyone that wanted to order salad. I understand meal prepping for the brunch rush but "running out of salad bases" seemed weird since salad is something that doesn't require extensive prep time or ingredients. As for the rest of the meal, we started with almost all of the appetizers brunch has to offer! The two different types of tots, sweet chili bacon, homemade cinnamon rolls, and burrata were all yummy. The toast trio was ok nothing special and the mushroom one was pretty greasy. For our mains the highlights were the hot pork sandwich and biscuits and gravy. My personal favorite was the hot pork sandwich. The other items including the flatbread pizza, sausage and pepper scramble, and salads were all items we wouldn't order again. The egg on the pizza was overcooked and overall messy and lacking flavor. The scramble was also pretty dry and flavorless. We felt their "prep" possibly included precooking the eggs the way everything was so dried out. Lastly, the drinks weren't super memorable which was sad but shouldn't be a total deterrent. Dessert was next and naturally we ordered most of the options on the menu! The 7 layer cookie cake was amazing! As for the gelato that was also a let down. There are a lot better places in Hoboken to get some pretty delicious gelato so this is also a skip for us in the future. Overall, the appetizers were the highlight of our meal so if you and your brunch friends are into sharing small plates I definitely suggest skipping most of the main dishes and sticking with appetizers and dessert!

Madison M.

Yelp
The pasta was good, and our espresso martinis were great!! Very quick bar service while we were waiting for our table. This place does get super busy so it's best to have a reservation.

Brenna F.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with friends right before Christmas. The inside was decorated so beautifully with a ton of holiday decor. The inside of the restaurant itself is tiny but that's not surprising in Hoboken. Service was decent, a little slow, but it was super busy so that's understandable. Food was very good. I had the rigatoni bolognese which was very good but nothing super special. The specialty drinks were very cute and tasted great. Deff recommend if you need a good spot in Hoboken!

Amandaa M.

Yelp
The place is cute inside buttt that pistachio pasta was very bad. Paid $30 for a pasta dish and couldn't eat it. The apps were good, a little on the saltier side but I prefer that over undersalted. The complimentary bread and butter were great. The waiter was very nice and helpful. Spritzes were pretty good and good price imo :)

Kellie D.

Yelp
It might be an off night but it's not as great as it used to be. The bar service was ok and the drinks were mediocre. The decorations are beautiful as always but I feel like the customer service is nicer across the street at their sister restaurant Sirenettos.

Louis L.

Yelp
I've been here a bunch of times, and stick by my original review, but wanted to point out a fun change I noticed since last time. They have a house specialty pasta. Now ... if you are a traditionalist with your cacio e pepe, this is not for you. But they have a version of it that is very interesting and unlike any other I have had. It is "CACIO E PEPE CONCHIGLIE" on the menu, with milk braised pork, and a black pepper pasta. Lots of flavor, and filling. I'd also recommend you try their bolognese, as they do what I call a "triple threat" (they don't just use beef, they also use pork and veal in the meat mixture). Oh and also, they have the best espresso martini in all of NJ. So there's that.

Dee P.

Yelp
This was my first time here and would highly not recommend. The place itself is cute and cozy. Everything else is subpar. Granted we came a little later in the evening, the service was extremely slow. We weren't seen by the host in maybe over 20 minutes and as soon as we thought about leaving, they came to take our order. Once we placed our order, we literally got it almost 45 minutes later. We ordered some sort of ravioli which was okay and the mushroom lasagna which was terrible. I wouldn't even call it a lasagna- some of us like crispy edges but this was half burnt. We wouldn't get past the burnt taste so it definitely ruined the dish. I had high hopes from this place but would not be coming back.

Lisa M.

Yelp
DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION HERE ONLINE!If I could give it 0 stars I would. It started with me making a reservation for my son's college graduation on a Monday night. There were 9 of us and I wasn't sure if I wanted to sit outside or inside because one of my guests had hearing issues and if it's loud, he has trouble hearing. They stated that either area was available because they weren't busy at all. When I got to the restaurant, there was on 3 table that were being occupied, so we sat inside. We waiting over 15 minutes for a server to even acknowledge us. We ordered a glass of wine and a couple other bar drinks. Then a few sodas and a coffee. That took another 20 minutes to have the drinks brought to us. There were plenty of staff around, but nobody seemed to be doing anything. Eventually we ordered some appetizers. When I say we waited 45 mins, I am not kidding. The calamari was cold and rubbery, the meatball had no taste at all. It was horrible. We had already been there for over 90 mins and we were not happy. We asked for the check and it came out at $225. When I asked about it, they said there is a minimum charge of $25/per person. I refused to pay it and they said they will charge me no matter what because I booked my reservation on the Resy app and they have my credit card number. I left cash on the table for what I thought was appropriate for the food and tip and left. I cancelled my credit card and left. Can you believe that a week later I got a charge for $225 on my credit card? It was considered a pre-authorization and I can't fight it. Now the restaurant won't call me back or return my emails. I guess that is why nobody was in the restaurant. The only way they can get business is by charging people illegally. So I am spreading my message to as many review sites as I can. Hoping someone else doesn't fall into the same trap as me. Do not make a reservation online! They will trap you into paying more, even if you refuse!

Kelly C.

Yelp
26 stars for Andrew! Great recommendations and friendly service! Decorations for the holidays are also amazing!

Doug P.

Yelp
I was in town for business and meeting colleagues for dinner. Decided to stop in for pre-dinner drinks and we sat at the bar. We didn't order food, just basic drinks at the bar. I was impressed with the bar upon first seeing it, however not so much when inquiring about depth of variations. Ended up with a Don Julios margarita that was just flat. If a bar can't make me say wow with a basic drink ordered it makes me wonder what the rest of the menu would offer. The place was full and loud, but didn't do anything to make me want to come back.

Ryan R.

Yelp
I need to preface this review by saying that this review is solely based on eating/drinking at the bar. My husband and I have never actually sat at a regular table at Sorellina. We've kind of made it our go-to for a last drink of the night and a dessert before heading home and relieving the sitter. But for that, it's perfect!! They have wonderful desserts that change regularly so you get to try new things every season. The bar tenders are always quick, friendly and not too chatty. Which is how I prefer my bartenders. If you're looking for a perfect end to your evening with a good drink and a great dessert, I would recommend Sorellina.

Rach S.

Yelp
We came here for New Year's Eve dinner. There was a prie set menu of three courses for $75. We were seated late as there was an issue in system with reservations made online. The food was good but the gnudi was very salty. The portions were a good size and desserts were very good. The restaurant was decorated festively. There was also live music.

Daryll M.

Yelp
Always perfect for a dinner or late casual drink or two. A good mix of age groups keeps the bar from feeling too young. The bartenders are always very helpful with selecting wines with their comprehensive list, which is extensive but not too overwhelming. They always offer a taste and there isn't any pressure to say you'd prefer something else. They are top notch with making recommendations! In addition to acing the drinking front, food is also pretty solid. On the appetizer front, the mozzarella, burrata and cheeseboards are all great. Their fish is solid and even their gluten free pasta, while a little on the salty side, was pretty tasty. It didn't trigger any celiac symptoms for my girlfriend so that's a big win in this area where gluten free options are limited. We will always hit Sorellina when we are in the mood for a casual date night and in need of a couple glasses of vino. Solid 4/5!

Julia A.

Yelp
Superb! Their lobster scampi is outstanding, fresh homemade pasta with decadent lobster and a well balanced rich sauce. I paired it with their refreshing elderflower cocktail, 5 stars.

Diana F.

Yelp
Service was very good as was food although portions not generous given the price. Ambiance is lacking. VERY LOUD. Tiramisu excellent!

Amara R.

Yelp
We didn't know when we chose this place that we'd picked such a popular spot! Without a reservation, being seated was looking doubtful, but we were able to snag two seats at the bar. This worked out well, as we were greeted by a very friendly bartender named Owen who made sure to take excellent care of us throughout the evening. At the suggestion of the couple next to us, we started with the seared scallop appetizer with ravioli and spicy carrot sauce. The scallops were seared perfectly and the sauce was unique (in a good way). I would totally order this as an entree if given the opportunity. For dinner, we ordered the crab cavatelli and the rigatoni bolognese. I was very close to ordering. a short rib pasta dish, but Owen advised the cavatelli. I was not disappointed! Literally every forkful was also full of crab. I've been thinking about it ever since. I showed a picture of my meal to a friend, and he thought my plate had been covered in cheese. That's how much crab there was! The rigatoni dish was also very good, and I stole a few noodles between bites of my own. We skipped dessert, being too full to continue, but dinner itself was enough. I would definitely recommend Sorellina to anyone looking for good Italian food in Hoboken.

John P.

Yelp
The atmosphere and food are great. The drinks were great, particularly the cocktails and wine. Service is also quick and friendly. I've been here 3 times and every time the food does not disappoint. My only complaint is the amount of food you get for what you pay. Most Italian restaurants give you a large quantity of pasta for what you pay. The average price of pasta goes for 26-32$ here and you get a small amount. Although it tastes fantastic, I leave still feeling hungry. I'd recommend going and trying it out. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I had brunch here on a Sunday, and it was pretty average. I ordered the baked uovo, which was decent, but unimpressive. Prices were reasonable.

Yelp
We received an email on Dec 31st, 2022 at 1:30 pm asking us to put in a reservation for brunch specifying a "special" all day brunch menu. I sent an email at 2:20 pm asking about where to find this special brunch menu that differs from the standard menu and as of 7pm, I have not received a response. I called at 7pm and spoke to a host who did not know about this and could not find a manager citing that Sorellina's is "really busy right now" with no resolution in sight. Sorellina asks us to email or call, but they either are non-responsive or have no idea what they are promoting when you actually do reach someone. This is the first experience with this restaurant, so clearly they aren't interested in my business. What a shame, and terrible customer experience.

Yelp
Service was wonderful. My favorite part of the evening was my drink, the bejeweled cocktail. The server was very helpful with her recommendations, I was stuck between two pastas, she recommended the pistachio rigatocini and it was delicious.

Yelp
Overall the meal didn't live up to the hype, and service was really slow (either they were understaffed or unprepared for the dinner crowd). Pesto Arancini - best item we ordered, recommend this Rigatoni Bolognese - pasta was undercooked and the sauce was sweeter than would be expected Lobster Scampi - too salty Caesar Salad - didn't taste anything like a Caesar salad and the salad pieces are way too large Lemon Spaghetti - could only taste lemon, needed more cheese or flavor to balance it

Yelp
Second time here-- Service, food, and ambiance always all on point. Our table ordered the cheese/meats board very tasty/savory), as was the Rigatoni Bolognese. Pasta again was clearly fresh, homemade, and cooked to perfection. The bolognese was rich and flavorful. Definitely a great classic Italian dinner spot with a cute vibe overall for the holidays. 100% recommend to anyone in the area.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I came here on a Friday night with a 7:30 reservation to celebrate my birthday! We were seated immediately and greeted with a glass of water. The server came by to check on us soon after to see if we had any questions about the menu or wanted to put in any drinks. We asked for his recommendation on bottle of closest thing to a Sauvignon blanc but they did not have it. He then recommended 2 other bottles which were similar and gave us a taste of each to make sure we got one we liked. The service was great. Let's get into the food, we ordered like kings! We started with the burrata, calamari, meatballs, to share. For the meals we got the PISTACHIO RIGATONCINI and I got the RIGATONI BOLOGNESE. The burrata was great and had amazing flavor,I love pesto. The calamari was delicious and I was happy they served it with a spicy hot oil- nice touch compared to your typical marinara sauce dip. The meat balls were delicious, it seemed it almost had a lemon flavor or zest in it which really stood out to me. The pistachio rigatoncini was something new for us, but we needed to try! I thought it was delicious. It had shrimp, bacon, and obviously pistachios which gave it a great unique flavor. MUST TRY! The rigatoni bolognese was delicious, it's a classic, I really enjoyed it. The vibe was great. It had dim lighting and great music playing. We were seated in the back but didn't take away from the delicious food. Inside this restaurant you walk in with some booths, the bar got crowded around 9 pm. Overall, great spot! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
The food here is not worth your time or money. For $27 before tax, you get a small handful of lukewarm pasta. I could have maybe justified the prices if we were able to start off with a bread basket, but instead, you're served a single slice of cold bread. I bumped it up the extra star because the butter was actually great, but it's sad how much goes to waste with how little bread you get. If you are someone who is running out of ideas on how to spend money, this would be a good restaurant for you to check out. However, as a pair of college students trying to enjoy a nice date at the end of the week, there's just so many better places in Hoboken. Heading back to the dining hall hungry is not the vibe. For great ambiance, value, and service, you can literally walk a block in any other direction. Overall, this is not the place to be if you're looking for good food at fair prices, or at the very least, a hot meal.

Yelp
A big No for me, really wanted to like this place but when we stopped in for brunch our food took a hour to get to us. It was just eggs which also came out super cold. I understand restaurants are struggling with staff but just be upfront about it instead of ignoring us. That's exactly what the server did, just ignored us and when our meals finally came out, they came out 1 at a time in 10-15 minute increments. I would not return here.

Yelp
Excellent food and staff on hand. A nice selection of crafts and wine. The chef has a great hand in bringing up classic dishes with nice variations. It's definitely worth the visit for either the business of private event. Hopefully returning soon.

Yelp
Have been here multiple times and always pleased. The service is excellent and again the ambiance is romantic or a perfect girls night. The food is a go to as I had almost everything in the menu. The wine and cocktail list is also a fan favorite.

Yelp
We only went in for an espresso martini and an aperol spritz. Spritz was very strong, but not necessarily a bad thing depending on what your end goal is. Was convinced by the bartender to get a coconut mocha affogato espresso martini, very strong at first but the ice cream balanced it out after a couple minutes and it was absolutely delicious

Yelp
A MUST VISIT SPOT IF YOU WANT DELICIOUS FOOD AND A GOOD ATMOSPHERE! Stopped by Sorellina for date night. I was surely not disappointed. The hostess was so welcoming and seated me and my boyfriend quickly and later moved us to the really nice corner booths when the table was empty. I felt safe eating there because they are taking every precaution by wearing masks, gloves, and enforcing social distancing by seating everyone apart. My waiter Kyle was extremely nice. We were served water and bread quickly. It was so soft and tasted fresh. He recommended us drinks the whole night because we aren't very knowledgeable in that area. It's amazing how he knew just what we liked! We liked it so much we got two rounds. My boyfriend drank the Austin Eastciders Rose Cider and Carton Boat Beer and I drank the Lavender Gin Fizz and Pom and Fig Martini. The gin fizz had an herbal-y taste with a sweet/bitter mix and the second tasted like candy but not overwhelmingly sweet! Perfect for the holidays. For our appetizers we got the Fried Calamari and Nonna's Meatballs. We enjoyed it so much I unfortunately forgot to take photos. It was interesting that the calamari had cranberry sauce at the bottom, but in a good way. The meatballs had ricotta, which I love so much, and never saw paired with meatballs. For our entrees my boyfriend got the Grilled Teres Major Steak and I got the Rigatoni Bolognese. We had to share that too because they were both so tasty! Definitely revisiting.

Yelp
I came here for dinner (and there was quite a wait ). I had been here before and only tried some cheese and wine - seemed ok so I was looking forward to dining properly So, we tried the Cucumber salad , Halibut and a light pasta dish . All were very good with prompt and attentive service . Portions are on the smaller side for Italian ( not a bad thing ). In sum, Definitely another solid Italian option in Hoboken with nice views for people watching

Yelp
Sorellina is more of a 3.5, but because I always have a pleasant experience when here, I bumped the rating up to a 4. First off, Sorellina is in the heart of downtown Hoboken, so it's easy for you to hop to a local bar after dinner. The ambiance is great for any occasion: date night, friend night, team dinner. Second, the bread! Yes, you're offered only one square or piece--but the selection and taste position the start of your dinner in the right spot! Third, the calamari salad surprised me! Think of a fritto misto salad that's not heavy and hits the savory, acidic, and sweetness notes with so much deftness. Fourth, the cocktails! They have not disappointed yet. If anything, the small(er) bites and cocktails are probably the highlight of the show. As for the pasta: The flavors are addicting but nothing amazing albeit somewhat salty. Make sure you end dinner with some espresso!

Yelp
I have zero bad things to say about this place. Makes reservations as it's small. It's so cozy and cute. I could come here every week. The holiday decor is adorable. And overall the atmosphere of this restaurant is top notch. The food is 12/10. I had ordered the pistachio pasta... I WAS IN HEAVEN. The bacon was amazing. The shrimp was phenomenal. The pasta and pistachios were literally plate licking worthy. I'd come back just to get that same dish again - hopefully they don't decide to remove it off the menu in the future. Safe to say. I recommend this place!

Yelp
My experience here was nothing short of amazing! It was my best friend's birthday celebration and Jose made our experience top notch. He was kind, attentive, fun to chat with, and overall you could tell he cared deeply about the experience he was creating. He made my friend's day so special. The food AND drinks were also incredible, but the service made the whole night perfect.
