Our absolute favorite place for pasta. We live that it’s always something new and the focaccia is the best we’ve ever had anywhere. Such great atmosphere too

This is such a cute little Italian restaurant! They collaborate with local farms to create a seasonal menu that changes weekly. You can also purchase frozen pasta, sauces and other Italian goodies from the store. There are only a handful of tables, so there will probably be a wait if you go at a busier time. The food is delicious! Our table shared a burrata appetizer special that was served with roasted cherry tomatoes, arugula and crostini. And I had the tagliatelle with wild chanterelles. My friend had a pesto dish. It's BYOB. Be sure to try it out if you're in Ambler.

This place is a true hidden gem. With a constantly changing menu, there’s always something exciting to look forward to whenever I visit, which is pretty often. The pasta dishes are always creative with well paired ingredients. Overall an amazing experience every time!

My family loves this restaurant. The pasta is amazing and so is the focaccia. I’m pretty sure my nine year old could eat a whole serving of it herself. Definitely recommending. Will definitely be going back to dine in and to purchase their dry goods.

Sorrentino Pasta + Provisions is an absolute gem for anyone who loves fresh, authentic Italian food. The pasta is clearly handmade, perfectly cooked, and full of rich, traditional flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. The shop has a great selection of specialty Italian products, and everything feels carefully curated. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to help with recommendations. Whether you’re grabbing fresh pasta to cook at home or picking up prepared items, this place is top tier. I met one of the owners of Sorrentino at the East Falls Farmers Market and was easily sold on their pasta fresca. After enjoying that, I knew I had to visit their brick & mortar shop at some point. Seeing their menu for Easter weekend, a friend and I decided to bike to Ambler from Philly to check it out. The ride was beautiful, as was the weather, so we sat outside with a nice view of the main street. We got the dishes split, so that we could each try a good portion. The pasta did not disappoint, of course, and each dish was well made, and reasonably priced for being such high quality ingredients. The semolina is imported from Italy, so it is wheat that meets Italian standards. This is the only reason I can eat it, being intolerant of glyphosate. In the US, organic wheat tends to have factors more glyphosate residue than normal Italian wheat. And I am told the flour and pasta bought in U.S. grocery stores with labels "made in Italy" etc., are often just U.S. (and other) wheats that are processed on Italian machinery and packaged exclusively for the U.S. market. I have thus far had no problems with Sorrentino's food - that's not to say that you won't if you suffer from something similar, but, for me, it's a real gift to have access to well-thought out and skillfully prepared foods that I can actually enjoy. The focaccia is amazing: light and fluffy on the inside, and crisp (but not hard, nor too chewy) on the outside. It was perfect for scarpetta. The cannoli are fresh and crisp, and the espresso is very nice - unlike most cafes' espressos. The gelato is not special to me (I got an affogato), but, after all, they're not a gelateria! I will have to try the tiramisu, but I fear it won't be able to compete with my Sardinian mother-in-law's single-layer made with Sardinian savoiardi, which are about 3x the size of typical ladyfingers. I digress... Everyone working at Sorrentino was very friendly and helpful, whether it was busy or calm. Excellent customer service, no question. In the deli, they had such wonders as scamorza (a strangled and smoked mozzarella), 'nduja (spicy spreadable salami), and chinotto (a sort of orange soda that is bitter-sweet). And, of course, their pastas! Peruse, and sample what draws you!

I can’t get enough of this place. The parpadelle with wild boar was incredible. I can’t leave there without wanting to bring home everything on the shelves lol! Glad they are back to their extended hours. Ready for this winter to be done and some outdoor dinning there!

Overall: high-quality fresh pasta, bread, and deserts! Service: Friendly. For dine-in, grab an available table first and then order at the front. Food: definitely the best pasta place in Ambler. Their pasta always tastes great, made fresh everyday. It’s a bit saltier side. Their rosemary/garlic/potato focaccia bread is so crispy outside and tastes great while waiting for pasta. I love their not-overly sweet tiramisu and cheese cake as well. Atmosphere : welcoming, warm Noise level: moderate - loud during Friday/Saturday night Wait: they have only a few tables available and tend to get very busy around 7pm. I recommend getting there early

My son had the tagliatelle with Ragu and spinach with the large amount of lamb in the picture I'm not sure what my wife had but it had the wine bottle in the background and it tasted delicious I had the soup and the Easter Roman pie, which was delicious. My son loved the cannoli. This was there sixth time here, my son's eighth time, and my second time.

I've been to Sorrentino's Pasta and Provisions about 5 times over the last year. Every single time I am blown away by how delicious and fresh the pasta dishes are. I don't think there has ever been an option that I wouldn't want to try. Most recently I was here with my dad before seeing a show in Ambler. We both got the same dish which was a pasta in red sauce with cheese and pork - it was SO good. My only regret is that we didn't try separate dishes so we could have tastes. My advice is to go here with a couple people and try one of everything on the menu. Sorrentino's is unique, delicious, fresh, authentic, and the atmosphere is great. TRY THIS PLACE!

We checked this place out a few weeks ago and are already plotting our return! It's a really pleasant market-like environment with very friendly staff. The food was unbeatable, we got two pasta dishes and a sardine appetizer. Each dish was greater than the sum of its parts -- really delicious flavors that played well together. We made it a fun date night, stopping at the local cocktail bar prior to coming in for dinner

Best pasta we have ever eaten! I highly recommend this spot. It's a small place and definitely gets packed, so plan to come early! Menu changes daily and the pasta is so unique and fresh. Staff is exceptional. And love that it is BYOB. We will be regulars!

Food was so so delicious. It gives more of a market and eatery vibe then a traditional sit down dinner place, but that didn't take away from the quality of food. A quality BYO in the heart of Ambler! The staff and who I assume was the owner was so nice and knowledgeable of the food.

Authentic, local spot where the menu changes daily. The food is absolutely delicious and the owners are very friendly. They sell a number of imported items and fresh pasta at a reasonable price. Definitely check this place out!

Sorrentino's is a delightful addition to Ambler's Main Street. Equal parts gourmet boutique shop, fresh market and BYO eat in, it's always a pleasure to stop in! Starting with the imports, they have several shelves featuring unique ingredients from Italy. Think dried farro, jarred olives, tomato sauce, chocolates, artisanal nut butters (chocolate hazelnut, sweet pistachio,) fennel sea scapes, sardines in oil, balsamic vinegars and authentic cold-pressed olive oils. There's also several cold sections where you can find gelato parfaits, tiramisu, mini cheesecakes, jars of their housemade sauces / spreads, fresh pastas, cheeses, charcuterie and pre-made salads that can be purchased by the pound. Not to be missed, the farro salad features seasonal ingredients, with lots of locally sourced vegetables. It's tossed in a simple dressing of red wine vinegar, fruity olive oil and usually a Suzy Jo special honey. Touching on the fresh pastas, they make different varieties each week and sell them by the pound. You can find bucatini, orecchiette and all different egg based types. There's usually 3 hot options each day which you can preview on Instagram. The braised pork shoulder ragu is insanely good, with chunks of tender meat juxtaposed by a lightly acidic sauce, al dente noodles and umami sections of melty grated parmesan. There's also sometimes a luxurious pesto, made with fresh greens and a generous quantity of evoo. You can't visit Sorrentino's without adding an order of the roasted garlic focaccia. In the words of my husband, "this sh*t slaps!" It's always served warm and the fragrance of caramelized garlic wafts from the to-go bag and fills my car. For $5, it feeds 2 - 3 people. It's massive, with a crunchy top layer and fluffy interior. There's magic throughout; perfectly sweet cloves of roasted garlic, clusters of flaky sea salt and an undercurrent of olive oil. Just get it! No matter what the daily menu, there's sure to be something here that satiates your palate and comforts your spirit. The bonus is that the service is smiling, and the food is reasonably priced. Can't go wrong!

This is one of the few places (outside my own mother's kitchen) where I can sit down for a meal and feel like the food is being prepared uniquely for me... like they're cooking FOR me personally. It's always fresh, aromatic, visually appealing, PERFECTLY balanced, DELICIOUS food. After every meal here, I leave feeling warm, full, and completely satisfied, and I NEVER leave feeling gross or guilty. That's probably because they're always using quality, fresh ingredients. They have a limited menu that changes from week to week I think (maybe day to day), so that's probably what allows them to continuously use fresh ingredients. I actually like having only a few options to choose from... I never feel overwhelmed making a decision coming here (it adds to the experience), and there's always 1 or 2 things on the menu worth picking. This is my favorite place to eat in the area. I hope it never changes or goes away.

One of the best and most unique pasta shops I have been to in the United States. They post their daily specials which are their main pasta dishes for the day. Bookended by massive and luxurious focaccia bread all made in house. The sauces are unique and ever changing. They're not afraid to throw some heat at you. They also have a bunch of salads and cheeses they offer, plus tons of stuff you can buy, including their own pesto. You can also grab pasta to bring home and throw your own sauce. Nice local spot and the food delivers every single time. Go see them and you'll make sure you're watching their Social media account so you know what's available.

Delicious and fresh! Love this concept. The pesto pasta I got was amazing. My husband's was equally as good.

they never miss fr. pasta always a 10/10. affogato was pretty good the gelato wasnt great but it was good. tiramisu was also really good but light on the lady fingers. dont get my place too crowded though too many of yall are coming! goated place tho if you see my nan & pop there tell them i said whats up

Awesome food and the people were just gracious in every way. We walked in not knowing that they were closing and even though we said we would come back another time they said that it would be no problem. Their menu changes daily and it's so damn fresh. Everything from.their pasta to the desserts and espresso was just amazing. Truth be told I am not a big fan of going out for Italian but we will be going back and bringing our friends.

OMG!!! Love this place. Trying to diet but I obses about it. Tonight had the carbonara and it was worth every calorie. The pasta, as always is the best quality and perfectly cooked. The sauce e was creamy and perfectly balanced. The "bacon was the perfect complement. Could have lived without the foccacia....but i can't live without the foccacia. So glad I splurged (calorie-wise) since they'll be closed until after labor day.

The pasta served here is on par with what your Italian grandma would make by hand or on the streets of Italy. Everything is fresh, unique and of the upmost quality. The dishes change everyday so you never know what you are going to get. This is a favorite among me and my friends. When out of towners come to visit, this place is somewhere they insist on visiting again and again. Oh, and the owners are friendly and authentic. They can tell you a things or two about Italian cuisine and their families heritage. 5 out of 5 must visit.

I am in love with this little gem! Small on space but big on flavor!! 6 of us went there for dinner and we were in and out in an hour. Everything is fresh and made with high quality ingredients. The staff was welcoming and friendly. They have a small menu of creative pasta dishes that rotates daily. They also sell fresh pasta to take home to cook or freeze. They also have a large assortment of imported Italian food items. I can't rave enough about how good it was. I will make the 45 minute trip there again!!
