Pizza, salads, crispy ravioli, & even the bread bowl were delicious! Cocktails were tasty too. The Fall Sangria & Espresso Martini were enjoyed in our group. Our server did a great job considering how busy they were & we were in a back room. Will definitely be back.

First time visiting. The food along with the waitress was absolutely amazing. It has become my number #2 favorite pizza. If you visit, you must try the Crispy Ravioli appetizer, you will not be disappointed. I would recommend calling ahead to make reservations, this is a very busy joint.

Unexpected Gem Sorrento’s Italian ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We found Sorrento’s completely by chance. Our original dinner spot turned out to be a tiny strip-plaza takeout joint, and we were in the mood to sit down, so we searched for the next closest place and ended up here. I’ll admit, when we pulled up, the outside looked a little sketchy, and I wasn’t sure what we were walking into. But the moment we stepped inside, it was like being dropped into a scene from an Italian movie it was warm, charming, and authentically cozy, complete with live music. When the hostess asked if we had a reservation, I had a brief moment of panic… but they quickly found us a table, and from there the night was perfect. The portions were huge, the food was flavorful and fresh, and the atmosphere made it easy to linger over great conversation. It’s the kind of place that works for anything from a family dinner, a romantic date, or a night out with friends. Sorrento’s might be “in the middle of nowhere,” but it’s 100% worth the trip.

Great place with a nice Italian and cozy vibe. Great food and cocktails. Clean place with lots of space and seating the where you don't feel like you're on top of each other. Nice for a simple evening out.

What a great gem in Norwood. Established in 1956 and refurbished not that long ago, Sorrento's offers great food, great atmosphere, great service and great price, a grand slam! Met up with long standing friends for a Saturday lunch and we had the outside bar to ourselves. I can personally vouch for the Italian Stallion sandwich and the Limoncello cocktail. My friends swear by the pizza so you can't go wrong either way. If you ever need an excuse to go to Norwood, this is it. Authentic in the way Buca is corporate. Ciao.

We were greeted by general manager Lucas King. We told him we were there for our anniversary and he graciously gave us dessert on the house which was the most amazing limoncello blueberry cheesecake I've ever had in my entire life made by his mother he said. The food was outstanding. Our server ( can't remember her name for the life of me) had dark long hair was exquisite! The Caesar salad was probably the best we've ever had. Every dish was better than the one preceding it. My father-in-law has talked about this place for a very long time and it definitely lives up to the hype!

What a lovely little "Italian Joint" and the sign outside the restaurant is not lying. This was my 1st time eating at the Montgomery road location, and it did not disappoint. The food was fresh and very tasty. The portions will not leave you hungry. And the full service bar was a real treat. The staff was so friendly and helpful and just so happy and willing to make our visit just perfect. We did have to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but the bar was just perfect for a pre dinner drink. And the manager even made a special Santa sparkling drink for our 7 year old. (Yes a virgin drink it was) The store manager just plain made the night perfect. Thanks for the excellent service and meal.

You want a good Italian option that is local-owned, has a welcoming/casual ambiance, and is delicious? This is your spot. Food is family-recipe good and drinks (and service) from Scottie were above expectation; would gladly order again. All or most of their menu is homemade (salad dressings, etc.), great happy hour (until 6pm) and specials (1/2 off wine Wednesday), and has been around a long time to boot with a great outdoor space for good weather and a recently renovated space inside. Good pizzas too ($10 two topping on Tuesday) + sausage dip app is a go-to. Highly recommend; give it a shot.

What a great experience here! The service was great, our server was so knowledgeable and friendly. And the food was delicious! I can't recommend the Blanca pizza enough! Everything we tried was so good! We loved that there was a trio playing live music, and the entire place felt so classic and old school in a good way .

My husband and I were looking for a nice place to eat in the Norwood area before my son's soccer game at XU. We didn't want the same old, same old, and that's when we came upon Sorrento's Italian Joint. First let's talk about the decor, which deservesa shout-out. It is so warm and cozy inside, and the paintings on the wall are beautiful! The building has an old-world feel, and the wine bottle room is especially cool! Now onto the food. We started off with the Bread Basket. The rolls looked and tasted homemade, and the herb garlic butter was unique and flavorful. For my entree, I ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs, while my husband had the Chicken Alfredo. Both dishes were delicious--and the serving sizes were large. The Spaghetti and Meatballs comes with three, huge meatballs that are homemade. The pasta is homemade as well, and you can taste the difference. The entire meal had that fresh, made-from-scratch quality, and I savored each and every bite. Unfortunately, we were too full to try dessert, plus we had to hurry back for the game. Next time! The staff was extremely pleasant and friendly, and the service was lightning-fast. I highly recommend you stop in for a bite. I personally cannot wait to return. Bon Appétit!

Updated review based on a recent visit- the pizzas were flavorful and all of us enjoyed the slices. We ordered a few apps to try, sausage dip and mozzarella sticks. Server was nice and the space is cool.

Carry out order only! Cant speak to ambiance or service. I ordered the crispy ravioli, smoked dry rub wings, and tiramisu. The ravioli was the best appetizer ravioli I've ever had! It was full of gooey cheese, and perfectly crispy on the outside. Seriously, I will be ordering them again. The red sauce for dipping was also good. The chicken wings were decent. The dry rub tasted like some Italian seasoning which was nice. They were not greasy so that's also a plus. They could have been crispier though. They were a bit chewy. I think I'd order a sauce on the side for dipping next time as well. They just needed something. The tiramisu was good. Could have used more soaking of the lady fingers as the cake was a bit dry. But it was dusted well and included some chocolate sauce and extra cookies on the side that I'll have for breakfast with my cappuccino. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this place and look forward to trying more menu items.

Went for pizza week. First time there, one of our favorite pizzas. Very friendly servers, reasonably priced wine. I want to back and try something else.

My husband and I stopped here for dinner after my grandson's marching band competition. We loved the atmosphere. The food was delicious, the staff was very attentive and kind. We enjoyed the live music and the prices were easy on the wallet.

Friday lunch with a group of 12 friends. We were seated in a small side room and we all enjoyed the Lenten fish and chips, a variety of pizzas or chicken parmigiana sub with yummy fries. Service was a tad slow with one waitress but the food was hot and delicious.

Our group from the Y ate at Sorrento's Italian Joint for lunch today. It was my first time there. The pizza was good. They have 2 sizes, Reg and Large. The reg is big enough for 2-3 people. I took 2/3 of mine home and will get another meal and a snack out of it. I was told the fish and chips and the BBQ pizza were also good. The service was friendly and she did a good job considering she was handling 3 rooms of patrons by herself.

I really enjoyed Sorrento's! Went with a group of friends tonight. Food was excellent and so was the service. Our server, Scottie, was friendly, knowledgeable on the menu, and gave great recommendations! A great Italian dinner for a girls night out.

Came here during Pizza week and they were pretty busy. The pizza was pretty greasy, but I liked the amount of cheese they had on it. The table felt a little dirty when we sat down like no one had wiped it down from the people before us. The pizza wasn't bad but the vibe of the restaurant was not my favorite. I did not try anythin else on the menu besides their pizza, but have heard good things about the pasta. Maybe I would come back and try again.

This place is a bit of a hidden gem. Tucked away randomly in Norwood, the patio is spacious and comfortable. It's like a little Italian oasis in the city. The food is always good here and the service is solid. I feel like a lot of people have never heard of this place and it's not usually super crowded, but we are definitely big fans!

Very Disappointed. 3 stars are generous. The Pizza is usually excellent. On Saturday 2/8/25 we were to pick up 4 large pizzas at 11:15 AM. A $100 order. We placed the order 3 days in advance with Kyle the manager. When I arrived at 11:15, Kyle who had taken my original order said they were running behind because a couple of employees showed up late. I waited 25 minutes until I was given the pizzas. It was obvious that the order was not even started until I arrived. Timing of the order was important because we were holding. a 70th B-Day Party for my wife at Noon in Madeira. I had to speed to the next place where were we had pre-ordered wings. I got home late with guests already arriving. Opened the boxes and the pizza had a hard crust twice as wide as before and half the cheese as we have had before. Not Good. Best to not hire drunks who are hungover for kitchen work, Very poor job.

Me and 7 others came tonight as Sorrentos hosted Xavier's new basketball coach's talk show. We couldn't have asked for better, our server Taylor was exceptional, she made our night with her humor and hospitality. Food was amazing we only ordered a couple pizzas for the table but will surely be back soon for more personal entrees. We left with no leftovers surprisingly considering how big their large pies are. Couldn't recommend this place ENOUGH! Best service, perfect home-style ambiance. WILL BE BACK SOON!

What a great spot! We enjoyed the vibe of the outdoor area while having a cocktail by the fire pit before dinner. Bocce and cornhole are also available. Our server, Winnie, was incredibly personable and attentive. The food was delicious! We had the Caesar, the Italian wedding soup, the ravioli with Bolognese, and the lasagna. So, so good! It's a popular place for takeout - there was a steady flow of folks picking up their orders. So glad to have found this wonderful neighborhood Italian restaurant!

Such a welcoming entrance from the parking lot (also a street entrance) with a lovely outdoor seating/bar/bocce ball area for warmer weather. Walking inside the restaurant the atmosphere is comfortable and full of memorabilia of the many Cincinnati sports teams and previous sports venues. Everything is tastefully arranged- along with murals, ceiling map, lamp style lighting, and checkered table cloths. Check out the semi-circular booths! Service was friendly and attentive. The food options were great! Our table of 2 ordered a regular sized pizza and chicken parmesan entree (came with delicious garlic bread and a salad) & we had enough for leftovers. Food quality was high! A first time experience that is inviting to return. Note: there are 2 party rooms available that seat 25.

Really cool vibe and the outside area is probably awesome in the summer. I did take-out and the pizza was OK. The crust was chewy and could use work. Sauce was amazing, cheese and ingredients were solid. If they improve their crust it would be a top pizza in cincy.

A great local "pizza joint". It reminds me of a stereotypical Italian place of yesteryear. The pasta and meatball is great. Pizza is classic thin, cheesy goodness. I personally wasn't a fan of the Italian sandwich. The bread was a bit much for me. Chewy, almost stale. Rather disappointing. . Will update this review after I go back and try the sandwich again. Part of me thinks it was a "one time "'occurrence.

Wow Wow WOW! My family and I stopped in the other day for my daughter's birthday, which she insisted on coming to Sorrentos specifically. We got bruschetta and Mama T's sausage dip which was phenomenal. My daughter and I split the Norwood assembly which our server Taylor actually recommended and boy did she know exactly what we needed. My wife got Enrico's Tuscan Shrimp which we were informed was a specialty item they permanently added to the menu since it was so popular. Kyle the restaurants GM stopped by our table to say Hi and see how things were, we've only been here a few times and he remembered us which I feel like is so rare nowadays. Very Happy about that. Taylor our server also gave us the best recommendations and kept our drinks filled to the brim. She recommended their new seasonal cheesecake "Chocolate covered Strawberry" which is HOMEMADE by Kyle's mom, and you can tell it's made with love, and the size of the piece was enough for all for of us. Amazing service, family style atmosphere which made us feel right at home. 100/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone.

I love an old hole in the wall with character and this did it. Food excellent (I got pizza). Beer cold. Service down to earth and exceptional. Atmosphere cool as hell. I will be back my next trip here! Thank you!

Simple Italian spot with traditional interior with the usual things. Pros: Rustic aesthetic and fresh ingredients. Cons: $6 soup Nothing much to say about this place. Might just be not my style but I have been twice and the food just never impressed me. It isn't bad at all just standard. Got the veal parmesan and the Mama T pizza. The veal I couldn't have told you wasn't any other random meat and the pizza was good but really just not special @ $25 a large. The soup was the biggest let down at 6 dollars for a small bowl. Most of this is personal taste however so take it worth a grain of salt. Everything else was fine so nothing more to write about it. Total bill for two $40. Rating 6/10

What a fun surprise of a place! You walk inside and can tell that it's been around for a while just by looking at all the newspaper articles and history on the wall. Our server told us the current building is over one hundred years old. We decided to eat outside since it was beautiful and got to play some bocce ball while we waited. Seating is great for larger groups, lots of options for seating in general, indoors, outdoors, and two private rooms. We went for pizza, but I'd definitely like to try some of the other Italian dishes next time. I got The Big Goomba pizza, size regular. The price is a little higher, but you'll be taking home leftovers so it makes sense. Pizza was delicious, better freshly made rather than reheated. It was a bit oily. Also, got to try a bit of the cannoli because my friend got it as a birthday freebie and it was delicious, strong cinnamon flavor!

Went on Valentine's Day & had a perfect romantic booth with an intimate classic Italian meal! Slow and steady to eat all the courses, the 5 latitudes red wine was delicious & food was on point. The cheesy garlic bread was a little greasy, but the marinara sauce they came with was amazing! Spaghetti & meatballs, Chicken Parm Sammich & caesar & house salads were all good. We tried the house Italian dressing on the house salad & it's avocado based (I think) so if you're into classic Italian dressing, maybe try something else. We had reservations and I'd recommend them if you're headed there on a busy night. Clean, friendly service, you really cannot go wrong here.

Great service, cool vibe, and fantastic Italian. Neapolitan pizza, crispy ravioli, and side salad with house ranch were all on point. Smoked manhattan was OK, but the Goomba Lager was solid.

I'm in shock. We are long time neighborhood loyal customers at Sorrento's. Tonight we walked in the restaurant because when we drove by the "We Are Open" sign was on. The were lots of parking spaces open. Upon entering I saw lots of tables were empty. I quickly darted to the bathroom because the Modelos from earlier in the night were catching up to me. After using the facilities I was SHOCKED to learn that we were refused service. The staff rudely informed us that we could not be seated. The restaurant, bar included, was fully booked for St. X's Mom Prom. If that was the case, why was the "Open" sign on? Why wasn't there a private event sign on the door? The entire experience was so bizarre we thought we were being pranked. Alas, it was reality. P

We popped in here recently on a whim! I searched for Italian near me, and this place came up, so we took a chance. Let me start off by saying it's such a cool little spot, I'm sure coming here in the winter would be so fun! The staff is so kind. They were helpful, and made great suggestions. It truly felt like a little family owned place. Loved seeing all the articles about the family on the walls. The food was wonderful, totally filled my need for pasta. (The garlic butter that comes with the bread is unreal)

When our reservations fell through elsewhere, I did what anyone should do: I hit Yelp up for an assist. When I saw Sorrentos had decent ratings, I decided to give it a go. SO glad we did! Pasta, Pizza, Salads, and Appetizers. Obviously, with such a list, we didn't stick around for dessert, but we did take two pizzas to go (Yes, they're that good). You can expect fantastic service, and it's as authentic as I've been to Stateside. It's affordable, and if it isn't scratch, it sure tastes it. Just when I thought it wasn't going to get any better - the Manager stops by to see if everything was up to our expectations. Everything exceeded my expectations. I know my five-star rating numbers have gone up recently, but I really couldn't think of a single thing they could have done to improve our dining experience.

The Eggplant Parmesan and House Salad were delicious. We had a party of 14 and were served in a timely manner. Our server, Emma, was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is very nice. The music was just loud enough that we could all hear each other speak. We will be returning for another delicious meal.

If you want a pizza you can swear by , Sorrentos is the best choice! I enjoyed a large Norwood, a staple specialty pizza at the restaurant. Friendly service and good atmosphere. Kyle the GM came to our table and remembered us from last time, something rare you don't experience any more.

While the food is good , can be seen as pricey yet worth it . The wait when I went was questionable - was told a hour wait by three high school girls who went dead silent when asked how long . Maybe that new in the job ? No problem waiting , but it was packed so we were offered to wait outside with the heaters but I guess staff didn't realize the heaters weren't on ? We even told them and they didn't do anything until we were seated which was sooner than a hour . When seated , we ordered pizza and was delicious so kudos to the chef . Service went well when seated too . I'd recommend to come and enjoy the food , I'll be back , but I suggest more training if possible or something at least be attentive to the heaters outside if you have a wait so it's more enjoyable .

Ok, this place is amazing! It's close to my daughter's home in Cincinnati. The atmosphere is awesome! The service was on point and the food was delicious. We had the chicken parm pasta and chicken parm sandwich and a pizza! If you are in the area, you need to check them out!

Cute place, the food was fresh made and awesome. My husband had the Ravioli Bolognese, it was delicious, I had the Eggplant Parmigiano, one of the best I've ever had. The staff were extremely kind.

What a great place! We were in Norwood running errands and stopped in to try this place. Just wow! The sausage dip was yummy! Fresh made hand tossed crust pizza was delicious. We finished dinner with chocolate dipped cannolis. Our server Katy was wonderful and helped with suggestions. Loved the decorations inside and an even better outside area. Sorrento's, founded in 1956, has been on my list for years. It must have been 30 years since I was there last and in the meantime, they rebuilt after a fire and changed owners. I can say, though, if you like traditional Italian fare, it won't disappoint. We went for the Pizza Week specials. My husband had the Norwood Assrmbly, an unusual blend of sweet Italian sausage and dill pickle chunks on red sauce and I had cheese with banana peppers and mushrooms. The red sauce is classic, not too thick with a good herby oregano flavor. The crust was perfect: crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside. The blue cheese wedge was what you'd expect and it divided well for the two of us. It was half-price wine night and the Chianti reserva did not disappoint. My husband tried the house Italian lager brewed by Braxton and it reminded him of Peroni. Our only complaint was the service. There servers were pleasant and accommodating, but the food and drinks took a very long time to arrive and my husband never could find our waiter to get a second beer. Perhaps they were slammed by pizza weeks, but our dining room wasn't full. Still, we're likely to give them another try.

We enjoy the lasagna. Pizza, pasta. It is a homey environment with Consistently good food and service.

So we got take out, no issue there. However, we haven't gotten it in a couple months- did they change the crust? The outside edge is hard. The middle is very thin with a thick layer of cheese so it cant hold up. Very flimsy. I liked the old way so I hope this isn't permanent.

We went for a birthday party and had a private room. Very nice space and plenty of room for our party of 16, including kids. They also have an outside bar, fire pit, and bocce ball. No complaints on the food. Everything was tasty from gnocchi to the ravioli to the pizza with pickles (yes pickles, tasty!). The sausage dip appetizer was excellent. Good mix of spicy and salty. The only disappoint was the food came out in inconsistent waves. Salad came out, we weren't done with the salad and some of the main courses came out. When I say some we then had some in our party who were finished with their main course and then other main courses came out. A fly by apology was offered and accepted but it was disappointing.

Got to visit the renovated and new digs of this Norwood landmark of a restaurant. We sat outside on the patio and had a very pleasant server. We all ordered pizza. The pizza was delicious and I loved the crust with all of the dough bubbles. The slices are cut in small squares. Side note two of us ordered bacon and I never tasted even an essence of bacon, so beware of the bacon stingy pizza makers. The Stromboli appetizer is really a lot like eating an inside out pizza, and it's small. Overall I'm excited for this place and the inside and outside both look amazing and the menu boasts a Variety of things that I would love to try when visiting again.

I ate here during restaurant week and the deal was great. It was a $36 for two special. For the special you could order an appetizer to share, two pasta dishes or a large pizza, salads and a cannoli for dessert. We ordered the crispy fried ravioli which were good. They were perfectly fried --what's not to love when something is fried and filled with cheese? The marinara sauce was just okay, nothing to rave about. It lacked depth and was slightly too bitter. As for the salads, one of us ordered a house salad and the other Caesar. The house salad dressing was way too vinegary, but the Caesar was good (the added crispy cheese chip was a nice touch). The pasta was okay. The meatballs had a nice texture, but were bland and the sauce once again was not my favorite. Too bitter and not enough depth. The cannoli did not meet my expectations. The shell was nice, but the filling tasted like cool whip. This is not traditional and I didn't like texture or taste of the cannoli filling. Overall, the highlight of this place was the decor, service and ambience. I love the decorations and all the photos. In the future, I will go back if I am nearby or if they have another great restaurant week deal.

So sad it took me pizza week happening to finally try Sorrento's! The vibe there is so cool. It's decorated so cute inside. The staff was next level friendly. My team and I ordered pizza week pizzas for lunch one day. We tried a "build your own" and one with several meats and pickles on it. OMG. The pickle one was to die for. Just overall really delicious pizza. Everything you'd want a classic pizza to be. Also, the medium was huge. One hundred percent planning to go back and take my husband sometime.

This place is such a cute find! They have a great patio and the food is very good. The calamari and the pastas are delicious. The service is always good too and it's one of the only good local places in Norwood that's been around for a long long time!

I enjoy old classic restaurants. Sorrento's is just that. I visited twice, the service was great both visits. I will admit, I didn't come in during peak times. First visit was the minestrone soup (which was great) and eggplant parmesan (which was fairly good). Second visit was for a 14" simple cheese pizza. The pizza was good for a 4/5. I was tasty and had a very classic taste. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't the best pizza I've ever had. Pizzas with elevated flavors like honey, garlic, Italian seasonings are what I consider top notch. This restaurant is all about nostalgia, and I understand and respect that. I'll definitely be back for some classic thin crust cheese pizza. Your restaurant is a classic, and I respect that.

Liked the ambiance and the service was friendly and fast. Enjoyed some of the food but felt the red sauce was bland. We started with a sausage dip appetizer that I loved. I ordered the LeBlonde pizza, which is an Alfredo pizza, and also enjoyed it. I tried a friend's Chicken Alfredo and the chicken was so so good. However we also ordered two lasagnas and we didn't finish either. They would have been great if the sauce was not as bland, but i did enjoy the spinach in it.
