Google
One of my all time favorite places in DC. I’ve been going here for an omelette egg, cheese, tomato and avocado breakfast sandwich on a salt bagel for over a decade.

Derek Lee

Google
Gave up the dream of cheap but pretty decent morning bagels when we moved here from NYC. Lo and behold, we were told about this place and it definitely impressed us with the prices! Pretty good bagels with prices similar or even lower (e.g. lox bagel not being the standard 15+ it is in NYC now). Currently heavily on rotation.

Google
Hey, it's a hole in the wall and like stepping back into a time before self promotion, traitorous politicians and covid denialists... Bagels and sandwiches are spot on. It's all take out, CASH ONLY, and delicious...

Yuchen L

Google
Absolutely amazing sandwiches. We usually go with the moist turkey Avocado but everything is delicious. Reasonably priced as well. Cash only and no seating in the store though

Connie Shao

Google
Cash only hole in the wall with delicious bagels - fast service, so good!!

Google
Excellent choice while in DC. The bagel and locks, and the corned beef and pastrami egg and cheese on everything bagel was absolutely fantastic! I see some others left 1-star reviews in regards to staff being negative. I mean, the title of this shop has "So's Your Mom"! C-mon! They're just yankin your chain before you even walk inside :) Live a little, am I wrong? Laughter is the best medicine. Food was awesome. Don't come in if you're too uptight, so, get your momma to pick up your order from here after you call ahead.

Greg Jordan-Detamore

Google
Great bagel sandwiches at great prices! I get the western omelet sandwich. (Note: cash-only.) There’s no seating inside, but you can sit in the nearby park.

Mark Russell

Google
All the food is prepared or packaged. Eggs were cooked in the microwave. Cream cheese was work. Asked for NOT toasted bagels, they were toasted. Bacon was pre-made and then reheated. Super dry and crispy. Not what I was expecting after the good reviews. This is NOT a NYC deli/bagel shop.

Madison S.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service, a great local neighborhood spot that has been around for ages. Huge menu and everything is amazing. Call to order ahead. Cash only. Would recommend to anyone in the area!

Dave W.

Yelp
Good deli sandwiches in Adams Morgan. My daughter and I both had salami sandwiches - we ordered different kinds but we couldn't tell them apart! My wife had a turkey reuben and enjoyed it.

Audrey R.

Yelp
cash only?? In this century??? No wonder it took me this long to hit up so's your mom - well one hello that name? That is fire like immediately points for them. Same with the interior major nyc deli feel, no seats, confusing ass menu, from the bottom of my heart I say that is a great sigh for a deli - I ordered the garlic bagel with Turkey sausage egg and cream cheese - bagel itself was a bit too thin for my preference, didn't have the crusty outer layer and bready inside because it was too thin - eggs were incredible! salty and delicious without tasting too oily. turkey sausage can be straight up dry ground meat but this was salty and tasted like the mcdonalds sausage Pattie's that cmon we all love - however, look how small the piece was on that half.... - less than $6 so I'm a happy camper in that department (even though cash isn't real money cmon)

Yelp
Coming from the tri-state area, I do miss my S tier bagels and sandwiches. However my friend in the area recommended this place so I decided to give it a shot. First things first, this is not a typical experience. It's crowded and it gets confusing who's in line and who's not. Second of all, you don't pay until you receive your sandwich... which makes the crowd situation even worse. Third, there's no way to know if your order has been called if you stood outside because it's so crowded. Now that's out of the way, the food took about 15-20 minutes on a busy Saturday morning. Will I say it was good? Yes, it was very comparable to my favorite lox bagel in NYC which says a lot. Super refreshing, filling, and tasty. Was it the same? No, but I wasn't expecting it to be. Was it worth the price? Absolutely. This spot is super affordable, and I think that's why it's always crowded. You wouldn't see prices like this anywhere else. I feel like if they had a better system down with orders and payment, it would be booming with even more business!

Will M.

Yelp
Small NY style deli in admo. Very good price for bigger sized sausage, egg, and cheese. Alot of bagel options. I don't mind the cash only. Will absolutely go back to try a lunch sandwich.

Hannah T.

Yelp
I mean, under $10 for a stacked bagel with lox from a family owned business with lovely owners. Need I really say more?

Anna B.

Yelp
Great sandwiches. I ordered the Rare roast beef with horseradish and the Deluxe Italian - both were fantastic. I will be returning to try more items on the menu. Highly recommend.

Aubrey W.

Yelp
So's Your Mom is a DC classic for a reason. They serve up delicious bagel sandwiches with innovative twists. I love how they have bagel flavors outside of what you typically see at bagel shops, including Maple salt and pepper, and Za'atar. The colorful decor is very welcoming (you can spot any So's Your Mom location in DC from blocks away). I got the Za'atar bagel with roasted vegetable cream cheese. The bagel itself was chewy and fresh. However, it didn't have a very strong Za'atar flavor. The veggie cream cheese was yummy, but I didn't really get any roasted flavor (just tasted like a standard veggie cream cheese). I have also tried the Sun City with pastrami, which was delicious and extremely filling. If visiting on the weekend, I would highly recommend ordering online ahead of time (the line will be out the door Saturday and Sunday mornings). The pricing is very reasonable for the size of the bagel sandwiches, and I would recommend this spot to any bagel lover in the DC area!!

Thomas V.

Yelp
Solid place for a bagel breakfast sandwich with an eclectic classic deli feel and very friendly staff. They get their bagels from Whatsa Bagel, which in my opinion makes some of the best bagels in the DMV. I haven't tried anything beyond their breakfast sandwiches but their classic deli sandwiches are supposed to be great. Tip: this place is CASH ONLY (but there's an ATM right around the corner)

Daniel R.

Yelp
This is a cute and very affordable deli in Adams Morgan! It has a very New York deli/bodega vibe and is cash only--that can be a bit of a hassle, but the staff is nice and friendly. My friend and I ordered a Reuben and a turkey pastrami sandwich. Both were serviceable sandwiches, certainly nothing mind blowing but also fair quality for the affordable price. It's a nice quick bite, which can be nice when things around are so expensive. I wouldn't go out of your way to visit, but I also wouldn't stop you from giving it a try!

Mary T.

Yelp
Go-to bagel and sandwich small business that's perfect for when you don't know what to eat for lunch and are in the area. Cash only so it's pretty affordable - under $10. They are closed Wednesdays and it is a grab and go place. They also have snacks, drinks, and coffee lining the perimeter. Even when the line is moderately long, they have fast service. I typically get a BLT, turkey avocado sandwich or a lox on a sesame bagel. Now as I'm typing this, I kind of want to go... Although Adams Morgan has a lot of restaurants there are not many delis like this (Sadly Kalorama Deli closed) so I hope they stick around for a while!

Cat W.

Yelp
The food is always good. An eclectic variety of foods on shelves and at the counter, and even on the menu board. Please note that the hours posted here are incorrect: closed Wednesdays, open til 4 every day, and opening at 8 on Sunday. Well worth a visit or to become a regular. BIG NOTE: cash only.

Katrina W.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by here one morning before work. I got an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese toasted. It was great and exactly what I was looking for! It's not a huge bagel, but the perfect size for me. Make sure to bring cash because they are cash only!!

Carla D.

Yelp
as a transplant nyc gal this place knows sandwiches they only accept cash, come prepared and hungry

Melissa T.

Yelp
Excellent! My favorite local DC bagel spot! Love the food, and the quick/friendly service!

Phoebe W.

Yelp
Fair bagel and sandwich pick up spot. Lots to offer and prices are reasonable but all the meats are Boar's Head. Nothing being smoked or made in house as far as I can see. Cash only and no seating. Prices reflect that this is not a NY deli of any sort. Had a bagel with scallion and bacon cream cheese. Bagel was actually good with a nice chew. Corned beef sandwich was nothing to write home about. Lean boar's head corned beef on grocery rye.

Kiara H.

Yelp
I'm a huge onion bagel fan. I was really happy to find such a great place near my job. I also liked how many cream cheese flavors they were. Only con: cash only :( I was kind of surprised I couldn't use Apple Pay, but I'll definitely be coming back (with cash on me next time )

Ethan H.

Yelp
Love coming to this place for a quick bagel sandwich that never fails. Awesome value for your money and friendly family operation

Vicki K.

Yelp
So's your mom is the best bagel in DC. My search is finally over. Crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle. I got the ham egg and cheese with hot sauce on it (just ask for it and they'll add it). It was great. The service is nice. The place is small so I almost walked by it. FYI it''s cash only and it's definitely worth going to if you're in town.

Eileen K.

Yelp
So's Your Mom is an Adams Morgan treasure! It's a no fuss, full of flavor sandwich shop with pastries, bagels, etc. At lunch or on weekends, there's a line out the door. Stay in line! It's worth it. Bring cash though. So's Your Mom only takes cash.

Dinh N.

Yelp
This mom and pop shop in admo is amazing. Made to order. Great prices on deli sandwiches. I got the corned beef to try and it was amazing. Best I've had in a long while. It beat out most restaurants in the area. Must try if you are in the area!

James R.

Yelp
The essence of why you should drive up I-95 for a proper Jewish deli...in DC you get this place which has Boars Head meats (yes from the Bronx but still...). Where I grew up in CT the meats are steamed/cooked/sliced in house. And really...where do you think a Jewish baker is cranking out rye bread in Washington DC? DC is everybody's hometown but nobody's hometown...exhibit A is the lack of the ethnic neighborhoods like your fair city up the road 40 miles. A lot of what we have in the Northeast doesn't translate very well when it's brought down here for some reason...not just this place. It's a better joint for breakfast...two stars for decent bagels..

Chris R.

Yelp
I love this place. Cash onl and incredible prices for DC. There's a menu on the chalkboard behind the counte, but you should probably just tell them exactly what you want because sometimes it seems like the menu is fake. Cheapest whitefish I've ever seen

Vivian B.

Yelp
My go to bagel sandwich. Their food is always incredible - I've been getting an everything bagel with lox almost every week for the past 6 months. When I call ahead, it's always ready for pickup immediately. And the owner/employees are always kind and generous. Couldn't recommend enough

Anya B.

Yelp
Found myself in Adams Morgan this morning and stopped by to grab breakfast. I ordered a sesame bagel with the smoked sun dried tomato spread. Waited maybe five minutes, paid (cash only), and was on my way! The bagels are big and chewy, and taste amazing warm. The spread was very smoky and unique, and tasted great with the bagel. I will definitely go back for their egg bagel sandwiches... almost wanted to turn around and get another right now!

BreAna M.

Yelp
Great little neighborhood deli. Sandwiches are huge and filling and they have lots of unique treats (snacks and candy) that you can't find in most other stores in the area. Cash only!

Diego G.

Yelp
Love this Adams Morgan staple. Keep cash on hand because they don't take card. Only reason I'll bump off a star. Half the price and 100% of the quality of what the neighborhood has to offer.

Sylvea H.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious coffee and fantastic bagels....my fav?? Whitefish spread in onion bagel

T'Aja M.

Yelp
My sugar bear took me here for lunch before work and I had a very tasty and hastily made sandwich. The vibes inside are reminiscent of my time in NYC when I lived in Queens so I loved the nostalgia. No frills just really fresh sandwiches and I'm Okay with that. They also have an impressive coffee bean selection. Definitely a spot to experience.

Chenée T.

Yelp
I was happy to find this Lowkey deli especially on a gloomy, Sunday morning. The service was surprisingly fast and I was able to get coffee and a bagel sandwich (egg and cheese) in under 10 minutes without having to order ahead. The bagel was pretty delicious, but the egg and cheese lacked salt and flavor especially on a plain bagel. I also got an everything bagel with their herb cream cheese that was delicious as well. I would definitely go here again because of how fast and convenient it was. If you're looking for fast breakfast foods or sandwiches, give this place a try.

Christina R.

Yelp
From someone who is a NYC semi-native, So's Your Mom is the bodega that keeps me coming back! Great prices, fresh bagels that evoke the ones I used to get at my corner bodega, and Italian subs that are full and don't impact your wallet too much. Tip: get your coffee beans from So's! They have self-service scooping and the pricing is cheaper than anything I have been able to find (not to mention quality of the beans).

Linda O.

Yelp
A small deli that's been in Adams Morgan for quite a while, this close-packed spot features moderate prices and fairly quick service. The sandwiches are old-school, meaning they're properly-sized and put together well. I'm always seeking a sammie place whose output is safe, and that's the case here. The service can be a bit crazy, but the counter and prep staff mean well. I appreciate this isn't some super chichi eatery with outrageous prices. Its name, which is an insult, reflects the quirky spirit found within.

Alison J.

Yelp
A local neighborhood deli that's been around for a while. A bagel with cream cheese is a little less than $4. Lots of sandwich options (both breakfast and lunch available). Perfect for a quick meal!

Shelby D.

Yelp
This is my favorite bagel sandwich place - the bagels are delicious and fresh, and you get a big portion for a really good price. I usually call ahead for speedy pick-up and reminder - cash only.

Irma G.

Yelp
Locally-owned Family-owned Fresh Bagels Hospitality Celery Soda Martinelli's glass & SPARKLING apple juice what more can you ask for? Best spot for bagels and sandwiches. CASH ONLY so don't forget it

Paulina K.

Yelp
I come to this place every single day, the young men or a lady always helps me out and I loved coming here. Today however, the owner got attitude with me, started yelling at me and was extremely rude and mean, yelling as I am his little daughter or something. He did not apologized and just tried to kick me out of the place as he could not get my order right... I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN, HOW CAN YOU BE A BUSINESS OWNER AND TREAT YOUR REGULARS LIKE COMPLETE TRASH!!!!! I would give zero stars if possible. Terrible experience. I am all shaking.

Josue M.

Yelp
The worst bacon egg and cheese bagel I ever bought guy was so rude rushing everybody didn't give me time look at the menu

Mary A.

Yelp
On a sunny lazy weekend afternoon grab your fave blanket beverage and book. Head over to So's Your Mom, a fantastic home town deli that's been a staple in AdMo for years, and pick up a delicious sandwich, bagel or salad. They use high-quality meats, cheeses and freshly baked bagels. I have never been disappointed. Then walk one block to Kalorama Park and plop yourself down to enjoy a relaxing picnic in the park. A great way to end your week before starting the weekday grind. Pro tip: cash only and call ahead to place your order

Herb S.

Yelp
Great sandwiches!! They only take cash so be prepared but so worth it!! And bagels too!!

David H.

Yelp
So's your mom is fine, would probably visit regularly if I lived nearby but it's not worth a trip from Shaw. Lots of deli items, selection of sandwiches and bagels. Bagels are decent but not great. Sausage egg and cheese is a pretty good deal at 4.95. Whitefish salad is standard. Corned beef/pastrami I wish was served warm, but I do like the red onions/rye bread. Cash only

Madira M.

Yelp
Excellent bagels and cream cheese. Lots of fun sandwiches and baked items. Hours are til 4pm not 7.

Huntyr L.

Yelp
Found this place on yelp haha. They only take cash but the pricing is affordable. I got an everything bagel with egg and cheese for 4$. The egg was real egg and the bagel sandwich came out HOT. Came out in 5-7 minutes with no line. They had a ton of meat options along with it being a little convient store. The staff were dirent and didn't do small talk. Overall a good place to stop and grab a bite.

Angela J.

Yelp
Good price! Got the Rueben sandwich for $10 and it's pretty good. Will definitely go again.

Sam S.

Yelp
Love this spot for a quick and simple breakfast or lunch. The staff are great and make you feel very welcome, and the menu has a great selection with fair prices. They have everything from breakfast sandwiches to soups to baked goods. Just make sure you bring some cash!

Maria Alejandra J.

Yelp
The owner was extremely rude and had an attitude, he was pushing me to order while I was trying to read the menu because was my first time there. He was very rude and unprofessional, never going back there again.

Sonora E.

Yelp
Love this place so much. Seems like a family business with dedicated staff. They're all wonderful and the food never disappoints. Support small business! Cash only.

Hannah D.

Yelp
Love this place, a very homey type deli with great breakfast/bagel sandwiches. On the weekends they get pretty busy so I always try to call ahead. The owners are super nice and everything is well priced!

Zack B.

Yelp
So's Your Mom is a lovey deli, and it's compactness will remind you of some of NYC's best haunts. Good iced coffee, solid breakfast sandwiches, decent grocery selection, and friendly service make this a great neighborhood spot. Be forewarned, it is cash only, BUT there are two Bank of America ATMs right next door. So's Your Mom is yet another reason you never have to leave Adams Morgan. I'm craving a bacon, egg, and cheese right now actually....

Katharine M.

Yelp
This is one to my top 2 bagel places in DC. I've been a customer for a few years now. It's really hard to find a good lox and cream cheese bagel, but they've got it down! Great service, family-owned, and a legit deli. Knocked one star off because they need to start accepting credit. They're popular enough to support it - I know because I wait in long lines to grab my bagel every other week or so.

B B.

Yelp
