A true gem in Flagstaff -- pasta perfection.
Sosta is incredible for lunch. I can't speak to breakfast or dinner yet, but based on what I've experienced, this place easily earns a spot in my Top 5 pasta experiences -- and that includes living in Italy for six months and traveling the world in search of great pasta.
I've had the Rosmarino and it's nothing short of divine -- sweet, rich, savory -- hitting every note on the palate. The Pepito Pesto is also excellent: nutty, zesty, and full of flavor. I typically add their house pancetta, and it's always executed perfectly. Portions are spot on -- satisfying without going overboard.
The pasta is handmade and made to order -- and you can absolutely tell. The texture, the freshness, the love that goes into it -- it's all there. Some may prefer dried pasta, but if you're a fresh pasta fan like me, you'll be in heaven.
Drinks have been well-crafted and balanced. And don't skip dessert -- their salted caramel vegan gelato is now my favorite post-pasta treat.
The setting? Storybook-worthy. Nestled in a historic carriage house with warm lights, lush foliage, and a private, tranquil vibe that feels miles away from the bustle.
While I can only speak to their pasta offerings, they are, hands down, the best I've had in Flagstaff. Shift Kitchen is the only other contender in my book.
Can't wait to return and try the rest of the menu. An absolute must-visit for any pasta lover.
