Sotheran's Rare Books & Prints

I ordered a print for a Christmas present, but due to Sotheran’s move, that had misplaced the item. Understandably, this wasn’t ideal but I got a refund, and was made aware very quickly. But, they came back to me at the end of Jan and said they had found it. They reserved the item just for me and waited for my response. A few days later I saw the email and asked to purchase the print. I did so, and it arrived a couple days later. Excellent quality and superb customer service. They now have a customer for life! Bravo

I usually treat myself to an in person browse at Sotherans ( most recently at their Piccadilly shop near the RA) but since I'd already looked at Portrait of Dorset knew I had to have it when popped up in their House Moving Sale!! Such a carefully wrapped parcel arrived with my gorgeous slipcase book inside that I fleetingly thought wow better than the shop!!! It's not - especially now they'll soon be in Cecil Court off Charing Cross Rd soon dangerously close to the railway station...Sotherans we salute you & your longevity, excellent tempting wares, friendly & knowledgeable staff 😁📚❤️

My RedBOOK, was purchased remotely...Sotherans team member carried it to Chelsea Book Fair 2023 to have it Signed, I collect this low edition in brand new state! only regret not buying the nice Sotherans Bag :)

Sotheran's brings me joy. I've found great pleasures among their rich and varied offerings. They also possess an engaging sense of humor. Jan Morris' book had a profound effect on me, though I can only acknowledge it in retrospect.

Sotheran's is a joy. The staff is knowledgeable, good humored, and helpful, and the stock is a treasure trove for book collectors. My family has been buying from them since 1960. Every book we've bought from Sotheran's is exactly as described and arrives in perfect shape within four layers of wrapping. Their occasional newsletter is a day brightener.
