Craving some pasta? Sotto is the place for you! I've never seen a pasta place always busy but we were able to get seated relatively quickly. The food had authenticity written all over it and paired with the delicious bread- the experience was delightful. Although it is quite pricey for the portion size so I would beware if you're coming hungry!

We had the opportunity to come during restaurant week and it was great. From the food to the ambiance just perfect for a romantic date night. My only gripe is our waitress was not very attentive to us. I won't let that be the determining factor for what was a wonderful evening can't wait to dine here again.

Absolutely a place I will be visiting again. The atmosphere was chill, the service was awesome and the food was amazing! I had the mussel and I'm usually an oyster dude, but this dish was amazing! The soup sauce and bread that came along with the dish, by itself is something to enjoy🔥🔥. I went during restaurant week and what was on the menu had plenty of different options, but I want to come back and try their main menu. This place doesn't look like anything from the outside and is super easy to miss, but you should give it a try. Only thing that was a problem for me was the seating. The chair seating was a little uncomfortable after sitting for a while. Other than that this place is awesome.

Wow! Just insane! I ate here last weekend and everything was amazing. I frequent fine dining establishments and I also own a fine dining restaurant. So when I say Sotto Sopra is incredible, I mean it. We started with the mussels and beet and goat cheese salad. The flavors pair so well together and the fried goat cheese took it to the next level. The sauce they make for the mussels should be sold by the quart. It’s that good. They even have delicious mocktails that my daughter loved. We tried the pork ossobuco, Frutti Di Mare, and Gnocchi Di Ricotta for our main courses. All of them were exceptional but the Gnocchi stole the show. For dessert we tried the pistachio tiramisu, crème brûlée, and cheesecake. Don’t skip dessert here. It’s a must. All dishes were beautifully plated and the service was next level. We never wanted for anything. Our drinks were always full. This is a must try! Thanks again for an amazing experience. It’s not just dinner folks. This place gets it all right.

Dining in a 19th century mansion in Baltimore is rather a unique experience. This dining room has huge mirrors on one side with huge murals on them. This gives the place a rather stately feel.
Besides a large wine menu and classic cocktails, they have a handful of their own. I had a riff on French 75, and they reduced the sweetness for me, something I always appreciate.
The menu is pretty typical Italian food. Our table shared the fried calamari, but it also contained onions and other vegetables which was a nice change from the usual. We shared the charcuterie board, which also contained fried artichoke hearts. That is a nice addition.
I had the frutti di mare, which was served with squid ink pasta. The shrimp and calamari were plentiful and properly cooked, and served in a gigantic mound of pasta with cooked cherry tomatoes. It was good and a nice version of this classic dish. My companion raved about the duck, and the serving again was very large. The honey lavender salmon also was said to be good. If you don't like lavender, this may not be your dish.
We shared a very nice creme brulee and cheesecake to end our meal. Again servings were ample.
The service was attentive, and the place is quiet and sedate. The food does not have any surprises, but everything was good.

5-star experience all around - food, bar, service, atmosphere all excellent. Scallops risotto and Salmon, highly recommend. Usually not a tiramisu fan, but this stuff was next level good.

Derrick was excellent. Almost tooo good. It's almost like he should be working at the Green room at Dupont or Ruth Christ. Service went far and beyond expectations. Now, the bartender was a different story. I listened to him (Africa american) disparage his own race to a Caucasian female. He checked on every table to ask about their experience except those who had minorities seated. I gave the rating because one bad apple doesn't rotten the whole tree. Everyone else there was awesome and the steak. omg I have no words. Perfection doesn't do it any justice. The ambiance at night gives you life and comfort.
