"This 16-seat café feels almost homey, with Syrian tea sets, ceramics, and musical instruments, plus potted plants hanging on the walls. The main event here is the warm, house-baked maneesh flatbread, dressed up with halloumi, labneh, spiced beef and peppers, or spicy za'atar. Other Syrian specialties include knaffeh , a sort of single-serving pie made with akawi and ricotta cheeses (or cashew cheese), shredded phyllo dough, crumbled pistachios, and orange blossom drizzle. It's all-day, it's easy, and it serves a mean espresso." - Todd Plummer

Cute little place, perfect for an afternoon snack or a laid back date. Their kunafe was very sweet though and not for me. I loved their zaatar bread. It tasted fresh and the cucumber and tomato added a nice little touch. I would definitely recommend this place as it’s very reasonably priced as well. Also, I always tip after eating and getting the service so I forgot to tip them since I paid before actually trying out their food....I am so sorry! They definitely deserved being tipped!

Absolutely delicious! I stumbled upon Soufi's walking across Queen W and WOW, the Manaeesh pies are so tasty! Perfect lunch or snack! The woman at the cashier was so friendly. We were oblivious white folk trying Syrian food for the first time and the whole place was so authentic and traditional. 100% recommend.

A very good option for dessert or afternoon snack. I always love their Knaffeh, very tasty, fresh and crispy. Their flatbreads are good but they can be more creative about the toppings to make it tastier. Suggestion to the owner: You got a really good space in your backyard which you can design to make it attractive to bring more customer. Please take a look at Bar Reyna back patio (a very beautiful and cozy place).

A little cozy place where you feel you are home 😃 friendly customer service with delicious food! Kunefeh is yummy and they do sell a variety of jams , pickles, molasses , and olive oil 🤤 you will be listening and enjoying the oriental music while waiting for your order which usually don’t take much time . Go grab a breakfast or snack there you won’t regret it !

This place is honestly great and amazing. As a native Arab I can definitely tell you their food is pretty close to what you would get served in the middle east. They have a variety of options to cater to everyone in the group (vegan, vegetarian, halal,...) The place is a bit small so you wont always find seating. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. Definitely worth trying this place out!

First time, this newbie is trying Syrian food. It was spectacular. Not sure what I expected but I was especially surprised by the concoctions that exist in Syrian cuisine. I tried sfeeha and knaffeh (pictured) and some classic Syrian tea. All of which were spectacular and relatively inexpensive for the portions and location. I would highly recommend all of the above, seriously. Also the environment has elements of Syria, there are paintings depicting certain Syrian cultural aspects, and family photos of the owner’s family, and most of all, there is a wall of love where all of the emails they received, were hung up after the place briefly shut down in the fall of 2018 due to (bigoted) hate directed at their establishment. I’m glad to see that the place is still standing strong as it should, it’s so imperative that we have cultural land posts like these for people like me, that may not otherwise have an opportunity to visit (the now destroyed) Syria. I felt as if I got a little closer to their culture through their food and nice little chats with the sweet owner, Alla. Again, I highly recommend this place. Don’t hesitate, just go.

Full disclosure: we’ve loved Soufi’s from the day they opened. Everything about them appeals to us. They’re friendly, passionate about their food, always trying new things for us to enjoy (see below) and, most importantly, their food is off-the-charts delicious. We popped by (again) earlier this week to take a break from a long day of errands - and of course to enjoy a scrumptious snack and a cup of hot tea (they simply rock tea). On this visit we finally got around to trying their knaffeh, a superb Middle Eastern dessert delicacy made with shredded filo (or semolina dough) soaked in a sweet syrup and layered with cheese or other ingredients (like clotted cream or nuts). It was soooo good, we could have eaten two more! But we we reminded ourselves that we were only there for an afternoon snack so had to settle for devouring a delightful Manaeesh (this time we had a Sfeeha - a mix of spiced meat and fine vegetables). This delicious flatbread is a staple in the region and Soufi’s has a whole range of fillings for you to explore - all of which are delicious. And, about that trying new things bit, on this visit we were delighted to find bottle of pomegranate molasses for sale (at a very reasonable price). We loveee this molasses and it’s not easy to find, so we scooped up a bottle to take home. And it’s superb; like “change your conception what delicious means” superb. It’s not gonna last long in our pantry, that’s for sure. And, to top it all off right now they are offering bonus goodies for anyone spending more than $25.00. We chose a bag of za’atar (one of our favourite spice blends), but could have also chosen from a variety of dried fruit bags as well. A great idea and a nice gesture. As you can tell, we highly recommend Soufi’s. Hopefully you can show them some love!

Just had lunch and it was amazing!!! It's a small place but you can feel and taste the love they put with every bite! So happy to see that they serve Akawi cheese and the sujuk with cheese is incredible. It was also nice to hear all the old Arabic music.
