Perfect surprise Saturday lunch is the only time my wife and I now can get lunch with our 7 month old. Soul Bird surprised us with how great quality it is and made it in our weekend lunch spot! I really want to come back at night for the $0.99 wing deal at night with my brother and some friends. Chicken sandwich was a juicy piece of chicken and well fried. Egg and other garnish were all good quality and tasty. Wings were also well prepared, with myself especially liking the garlic buffalo sauce. Lastly, we tried the soul fries. I thought they were really good, but my wife thought the fries could be crispier. We agreed the toppings were great though Overall, we think the place benefited doing the fundamentals really well. All ingredients felt like good quality, they were well prepared, and the toppings all enhanced the flavor.

Pretty good. The fries are a good portion but not a ton of chicken meat in the “crumbles”. The mango jerk is definitely sweeter than “jerk”. Over all I would come back and try more things. Price is fair and food is fresh. They also have good promotions.

I love, love, love Soul Bird! I haven't had anything from here that was not delicious. Well, except for the banana pudding. Im not a fan of the consistency of it. But....EVERYTHING ELSE is 🔥. Their wings, fries and mac n cheese are yummy 😋. They now have combos for an additional $3.99....beyond worth it! Their wings are truly lean whether it be the drumette or the flat. And, they are fulfilling.

Do yourself a favor and don’t come here. This place is horrible. I cannot understand how there are good reviews. Based off the one time we went, here’s the rundown. We walked in and were “greeted” by 2 annoyed young workers behind the register. When I say greeted, I mean they gave us the stink eye as if we walked in 5 min before they closed. Which would’ve been justified if that were actually the case. They just looked annoyed that some more customers were going to make them have to work I guess. Ok moving on.. Once we ordered at the register, then the tip option pops up which is honestly so frustrating when the whole process is just like going to a fast food place that you don’t tip at. So of course we tipped, out of fear that they’d spit in our food if we didn’t tip (for whatever we were tipping for? I have no idea). Now on to the food. We got a couple different chicken sandwiches, fries and their nuts and bolts fried platter. Everything was soaked in grease. The fried zucchini was nasty and slimy, and the mushrooms were disgusting. Ended up throwing most of that away. We both felt sick afterward from all the heavy grease. And to top it all off, it cost $52 for just 2 meals. What? Im fine with paying these prices if it’s seriously good chicken and fries. But this was not even close. And lastly, you get to clean up after you’re done. That’s right! You pay at the register before you experience the food; they guilt-tip you, and then you have to clean up afterward. Honestly guilt tipping has become an epidemic. These cranky workers don’t have to even try to have a good attitude. They don’t have to lift a finger to serve the customer. And we’re Still tipping! I can’t anymore.

Our first time here and we will be back! This place was amazing! The chicken was so juicy, the sauces were great and the Brussel sprouts with bacon were delicious! Loved the awesome patio and the staff was so welcoming.

The soul fries are worth the price. Freshly made per order, these fries are a match made for any fan of loaded fries. The Buffalo slaw isn't too spicy, just the right heat. And I love heat, so this is a nice adjustment to my spicy dishes. The chicken bites are plentiful. And the fries aren't bad! I got this and a chunky monkey. Follow me for more reviews!

To start the atmosphere is great especially with the small dance party lighting. I got the Seoul Chicken Sandwich, it was delicious. My partner got the sesame bowl but the offered it as a wrap. The French fries are good and they placed in a bag similar to 5 guys. The fries are seasoned and hot and then don't miss the soul sauce on the side.

Really quite good! And the 99 cent deal is a great one. Wings are fantastic - I had the garlic Parmesan with light sauce (I don’t like my wings swimming!) and was super thrilled - add in some black sesame from the “fixins bar” and it’s quite a treat. Fries are absolutely solid. I’ll give five stars when they allow me to mix sauces at the six piece - but that’s minor! I’ll be back!

Solid chicken sandwich! I got the original one with just pickles and added cheese. The bun was good, chicken solid, sauce cool. No complaints Mac and cheese- now listen here, it's not your grandma's but it'll do and it still taste good reheated. Banana pudding was ok, what I did appreciate was the vanilla wafers weren't soggy! Fried pickles were decent. Fried wings- Goguji flavor - very nice flavor Their soda fountain had some nice very different flavored sodas. A little mini condiment stand next to the register Overall just a really solid meal but the lady who took out order: the real mvp! She held down the front of the house by her self and she did great!

I'm a big fan of wings and fried chicken, so when this place opened, I had to check it out, of course. It's a modern looking counter-order restaurant with a modern feel and peppy colors. The staff was very friendly and ordering was easy. I got my food to go and the food smelled great on my way back to work. I ordered the three tenders with gochujang sauce and fried pickles. As you can see the presentation was pretty nice in the to-go box, so props on that. The taste was really good, slightly tangy, slightly sweet and with a little kick. The tenders were really thin though, so the ratio between the breading and the meat was a bit off for me. It's clever, since that way it won't take as long to fry, but especially with the price it ends up not being a lot of chicken. The fried pickles were good as well, but here, too, I think the amount of food for the price is off. You can see how few there are in the bag for $4.29. That's what keeps.them from being 5 stars for me, but I will give them another shot since they're fairly new and might make adjustments.

Bacon cooked to perfection as well. Overall I give them a thumbs up. Worth the price. I just wish they were more knowledgeable about their products used and actually Used the product advertised (Sundried Tomatoes) on the sandwich.

I have mixed feelings about this place. During my first visit, I got the garlic Parmesan chicken strips with the sauce/seasoning on the side. I tasted the chicken strips and they were juicy and flavorful on their own. They were even better when I added the girl Parmesan oil/Rub. On my second venture I got the garlic Parmesan wings. My first issue was the price. I thought that the strips were worth the price , because the strips were very large. Unfortunately 6 wings also cost the same $10.99 as the 5 jumbo chicken strips. In the picture on the website the wings are the combination of the drum and flat still attached. This is what I thought I was getting. Imagine my surprise when I opened my to go container to find six regular sized wings not to mention, that this does not include fries, or any side or drink. But, this could have been my own misunderstanding. My other issue with the wings is that the wings barely had any garlic or Parmesan on it, and I had to add some from the leftover from my first visit. (I got the garlic & parm on the wings instead of on the side) All in all I would only go back there to get the chicken strips and the fries and skip the wings all together.

The only reason why they get a 3 is because the first time I had Soul Bird it was good. Now for the 2nd time.....that is another story!!! I ordered 5 lemon pepper tenders and they were DRENCHED in grease! Please see the pics below. Then at the bottom of my pile of fries there was a hair! I'm so disgusted! No consistency anywhere! Not sure if I'll be back and it sucks because it's walking distance from me.

My wife and I checked this place out yesterday. It was their 4th day open, so I'll give them a break. The line moved slowly and there was about a 20 min wait for the food, but it was great once it arrived. The soul bird and the shack were excellent. The fries were great too. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the weather. The staff was friendly and we received cards for a complimentary side during our next visit for our extended wait time. We will definitely be back soon.

I normally don't write reviews unless something is awful but y'all, when I say I had a spiritual experience here, I'm not joking. The minute I took a bite out of the Soul Bird sandwich I swear there was a chorus of angels singing and my soul left my body. There is absolutely nothing to complain about here. Fried pickles? Delicious. French fries? Crispy and soft. Soul bird sandwich? Holy cow. Boyfriend ordered the lemon pepper wings extra crispy and the first words out of my mouth were, "Pluckers who?" Food is 1000000/10. If you're looking to experience fresh and delicious fried chicken, you need look no further. Venue is clean and tidy, well decorated, staff are knowledgeable and prompt, and the service was quick. I will definitely be back.

This place was amazing. But it is closed down. How can this be??!! It was so so good. I pray they open another one up again- close by.

Absolutely fantastic! Chicken tenders were crisp, tender, not greasy and not overly salty but flavored. The bun for the sandwich was soft and buttery. The sesame salad was fresh with well melded ingredients and the grilled chicken had a nice char. The portion size for the kids' chicken tenders was generous; I was surprised my daughter liked it so much that she inhaled the meal as she never eats that much. I also liked the hard kombucha in the side beer case. Weekends are $1 off their beers!

Excellent. Service friendly and eager to make a recommendation when asked. These chicken sandwiches are simply excellent. We tried the Walnut Hill location. Spicy chicken with goat cheese is just a winning combination. We will come back for sure!

The wings and chicken sandwich were so good! The young man at the counter couldn't have been nicer- he went through the whole menu with us as first timers. We would definitely be back!

Clarissa took good care of me at my first visit, and her advice was right on the button. Well laid out menu with lots of healthy and tasty choices. I liked the options for groups, will come back to get lunch for our office and dinner to take home to family. Very clean and bright. Open long hours. Reasonable prices for this part of Dallas.

We had the soul fried chicken sandwich with fries and the Phoenix level 2(pretty spicy)grilled sandwich with fried pickles and it was immaculate. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The service was very good as well. The area was very nice and the appearance was very nice and held good vibes.

Opening day, steady stream of people. The good: they were giving out gift cards for future use, little gifts, staff friendly. The bad: my to go order my entirely wrong, I ordered the chicken shack salad but got the chicken salad sandwich, after a 20 min wait. Wish I had looked at it before I got home.

Just tried this new place right around the corner from my house. Very solid. The service was great, the people working there were quite friendly. I had the 6 piece garlic buffalo wings, heat level 2. They were fresh, nice quality of meat, fried perfectly and had a nice kick. They prepare them as you order, no heat warming lamp here. Nice clean presentation as well. If you are a wing person, definitely a must go. They do have other stuff on the menu though, salads, bowls, chicken sandwiches, etc. I will definitely go back.

Solid chicken. Fast food looking place. Lots of add-ons. Much better with the free add-ons. It's a great lunch. Kind of place. Not sure I'd go there for supper.

The chicken was really good. I would opt for the French fries over the Tator Tots (a tad over seasoned). The fountain drinks were incredible. Even though you order on either your phone or at an order screen, the young lady that was there was beyond knowledgeable and very helpful explaining how it works. I swore I would remember her name and asked her twice, but I still forgot. She was so friendly that she would be the reason I return! Give it shot you won't be disappointed.

This place is absolutely delicious! Everything is fresh and made to order. They source their food locally. You can tell that they brine their chicken. It is so tender and juicy. When you bite into your chicken it is so moist and delicious. The sandwich ordering process is conducive to your culinary needs. You choose your protein, add it to a sandwich and the rest is pure bliss. They have a variety of sauces that they make in house. I would be remised if I didn't mention the wings. WOW! They are crispy, juicy and full of flavor. Definitely one of my new favorite places in the Metro!

I wasn't a fan. The chicken was served way too hot to eat temp wise. Also overcooked. Kinda tasteless. Blue cheese and Ranch tasted exactly the same and neither tasted like ranch or blue cheese

Great sandwiches, very good fries and sides, friendly and helpful staff, and EXCELLENT wings. Some of the crispiest, light to medium fried wings I've had. Juicy on the inside and flavor-full on the outside! Even held up well for carry out, which is another level of quality.

It's a cute new shop in the area. It has a variety of offerings from salads, bowls, and sandwiches. The sandwiches are mess and definitely worth the price! I was expecting it to be smaller to other popular fast food chains, but it was a giant piece of chicken plus all the additional ingredients, the service was also great especially for a new place. They give you numbers so you don't have to go up and get the food. The staff was super cautious and came back to make sure everything was good. I will definitely be bringing my friends back to try it and you should too!

It's a great lunch spot if you want a quick bit and be able to work. It wasn't crazy busy while I was there, which was nice, and the food was very good.

The staff was super friendly. The Phoenix Chicken sandwich grilled was amazing. I got a level 2 and that was pretty spicy. The pineapple cream soda topped it off for me. Would definitely recommend.

The $.99 wings special after 7:30 is a good deal, but the wings were super greasy and the flavor was only on the top layer. Once you bite into the middle, there's no flavor. Very disappointed.
