We not impressed at all! The specialty drink was EXTREMELY SUGARY. I was told by the waitress the red snapper dinner was 5 pieces, only to receive 2. When I asked the quanity the guy there dismissed me and I had to be forceful and inform him "had i not been told that, I would not have spent $30 on a 2 piece fish meal dinner!" He was not attempting to make it right, instead wanted me to simply accept the misconception. The lady checking out requested the order be corrected, but left with cat fish instead of red snapper (realized after i was home and ready to eat, what i thought was red snapper). My red beans and rice was not good at all, the beans were not fully cooked. My rice and gravy was plenty of rice with minimal gravy. I understand were in a certain time in the US but don't charge for quantity if you can't provide quality!!! Soda machine was not working, did not have the debit/credit terminal working. The lady before us had to get her order corrected over 3 times. The lady after us had to request to have the drink watered down due to the sugar amount and her food with less salt... A waste of my money and time. Not to mention the gentleman's poor customer service.

This is a home away from home. I’m actually on here now about to place an order for smothered chicken, Black Eyed Peas, macaroni and yams two complementary cornbread and of course a peach cobbler and some tropical punch Kool-Aid mix with a little lemonade always bring my people here from all over the world. #Vino🎬LoveYouMore!!

Great southern style food in a friendly lively environment. Staff was very friendly. I had catfish, greens, and blackened peas for good luck for the new year. Delicious!

Order ahead if you’re in a hurry! Because these cooks ain’t .. all they’re worried about is making some of the best food I’ve ever eaten! and they had a bunch of celebrities on the wall that I didn’t know …but the food was amazing. Eat here today.

I have been in Vegas 4 days. Kenny ran this place with ease. When I say it was our first time and we were nervous. This man was so accommodating, attentive and kind. The cornbread was hot water deliciousness. My catfish was fried to perfection. I don’t eat anyone’s greens, but my mom’s. He let me tase the greens 🔥. That lemonade and dessert delicious. Please don’t at here you will not be disappointed.

This is my 1st time eating here; I came with my partner who has eaten here many times before. The food was so delicious! We shared a catfish dinner with 3 sides: yams, greens and red beans and rice. Delish and well seasoned! My partner liked it so much that he also got a small side of rice with gravy and string beans. Nothing was disappointing, we ate it up! The owner was super friendly, like family. Definitely a must when you are in Las Vegas. I'm definitely coming back!

Catfish, okra and greens are very good. The pork chop that I had on a previous visit needs to be a little bit more tender. Some of the other sides needed some work, for instance, the cabbage is cooked too long and is a bit soggy. The macaroni and cheese needs more cheeses (multiple) and some or more seasoning. Nevertheless, I'm willing to wait for their improvement. Although I was disappointed by some of the sides the catfish alone is worth continued visits!

I went to the Soul Food Cafe on a Saturday afternoon and ordered a catfish plate with yams, double macaroni and cheese, potato salad, and cornbread, and the price came out to an expensive 32 dollars and change. I noticed the price on the food plates jumped drastically after 3 pm, and the difference between a lunch and dinner plate is that the lunch comes with two sides instead of three. The customer service from the employees needs work as I didn't receive a greeting, and the employees had a going-through-the-motions attitude. When I received my to-go plate, I said, “ Thank you.” The lady replied, “ Uh huh,” instead of the customer-friendly response, “ You’re Welcome.” The food I ordered was basic and did not impress me at all. The mac and cheese had what looked like gobs of sliced cheddar cheese melted on top and did not move my taste buds; I love mac and cheese, so it takes a lot of work for me not to like mac and cheese, and that was the worse I ever tasted from a restaurant. The yams were comparable to something from a can; the potato salad and the catfish were regular. The pancake-style cornbread was the best part of the meal, but even that tasted ordinary compared to other soul food restaurants. Honestly, the highlight of my visit consisted of the picture wall; they had many pictures of celebrities who had stopped by over the years, and I found that interesting. If only my taste buds had found the food as captivating as my eyes had found the pictures on the wall. Based on the food quality and the high cost, I wouldn't return. There are soul food restaurants in Las Vegas where you can consume succulent food and pay substantially less.
