We stopped by after doing an estimate in the area(Cruz Tree & Landscsping, LLC) and grabbed some dinner! I forgot to take a photo before digging in, but here y’all go! It was delicious! Hubby got the pork chop platter and let’s just say he hasn’t said a word to me this whole time! Thanks ladies, it was delicious 😊

First time experience 4/16/2024 12:58pm Upon entering it was very clean and neatly set up. Young lady working at the front counter was NOT rude she did greet me and was very informative in showing me where things were on the menu. After I already knew what I wanted so it was nice and quickly placing my order. Like stated this is my first time. I didn’t know the salmon platter came with rice! I wanna give an extra star for that. So my order was orange glaze salmon over rice, sides Mac & cheese with string beans. Salmon cooked to perfection!! I don’t like slimy salmon and this salmon was made just right to my liking! String beans the real deal nice long onions, peppers seasoned very flavorful! Mac & cheese CHEESYYYYYY I LOVE IT! The wait was not long young lady called me as soon as it was ready I was sitting in my car went in food was hot and steamy ready to eat! Everything is was excellent down to customer skills of the young lady working the counter! 10 STARS I definitely RECOMMEND! UPDATE! All hits no misses SALMON ALFREDO 🔥🔥

This my second time ordering from here well seasoned and tasty. I ordered 2 platters Smothered pork chops, mashed potatoes & string beans. Meatloaf w/gravy,mac and cheese & rice w/gravy. Everything was good not overly seasoned, nice size portions. No complaints will order again 🥰😋

Lemon pound cake was extremely good. Fried fish was good.. .. just a bit salty. Mac&cheese, green beans, broccoli and cabbage didn't hold up to my expectations.. ..green beans/cabbage salty and overcooked. Mac & cheese was bland and lacking cheese. Overall, would go back for a slice of cake.

the chicken wings were very good, reminded me of chinese store chicken wings without the grease. however, the string beans were salty and bland. the sweet potatoes were just as bland and the texture was off putting. we got fries on the side, which were either or overly salted. on top of that, i get more fries in a small size from mcdonald’s. wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go again.

Hello everyone, I haven't frequented this place in over a year. I thought to myself let me drive the 45 minutes and treat my mother to some soul food. It was a nice young lady at the counter about 3:30 p.m. very respectful. Six chicken wings baked mac collard greens. She took my telephone number she said she would text me. I get this food home, the cheese is not even melted the macaroni is not even together the collard greens taste old. The six wings were very small as if I was eating at the Chinese restaurant. I don't know what happened it was a total waste of $28.03. You have to care about your customers. I would say that the people that ordered the mac and cheese and collard greens amongst some of the items were giving bad reviews. I just thought that they had sour grapes because I patronized this restaurant on three separate occasions in the last 18 months the customer service may not have been up to standard but their food was always a hit. Why would you give me baked macaroni and it's not even melted it's not even together do we forget the egg , the flour there's something happen with the mixture. Can collard greens taste better if you add some fat back. Really taking the back that I paid a toll to come to a restaurant that gave bad food. There's nothing wrong with throwing out some collard greens stole them in the garbage. You can have my $28.03 I will never ever come back here. Where's the cook from 18 months ago please bring him back the tall guy with the bald head and the bad attitude. However thank you for hiring young people with some respect. Everyone beware things have changed here.

Whoever made the Mac needs to know that garlic doesNOT go in Mac n cheese. The yams are dry and my turkey chops are not cooked through. Very disappointed. Drove a hour and a half. Ribs are good.

The food is great. Customer service needs to be trained because the female/cashier that took orders was rude, short on patience and does not like to be asked questions. Please hire a person that at least act like they enjoy helping peop

The food was unseasoned I mean just bland, the serving was small and the service was slow and I wasn't had mind if the food wasn't cold

Food was decent... wish I could give a higher rating but as others have said in the reviews they really need to improve customer service. I don't need the person taking my order and giving me my food to be the most cheerful person in the world, but nobody wants to give their hard earned money to a place where you're greeted with a bad attitude. Owner, please stress the need for workers to be polite to your customers. Good luck in the future.

The serving size was nice and heavy. The macaroni and cheese had a tangy/garlic taste that was not good. The candied yams were great but the cornbread was dry. The cabbage had a lot of vinegar and although the chicken size was good it had little flavor. The space is clean but there's a dog in the restaurant and the worker with pink hair wasn't that friendly. They do take card thankfully.

Decent spot only because of this dish. They maybe better for the other dishes. I do not eat meat but I can tell you that the mash potatoes and corn were really good. The blackened salmon was a bit disappointing. It was ok. I excepted a flavorful experience however, it was cooked like I expected a blackened salmon to be. So I rated based off that salmon but the other dish looks fire, I just don't eat meat. Just another day on the road! Live, love, and laugh - Sha

The food here is excellent. If you're looking for home cooked meal feelings without the effort of cooking, I recommend it. Their meatloaf is AMAZING. We are addicted and eat here about once a week at this point.

I ordered smothered turkey wings with rice gravy and collard greens and an order of fried pork chops with yams and Mac and cheese for pickup. The food was good.

the fact that they freeze their Mac n cheese and reheat it and service it, that's crazy!! My wings was nasty super huge and drowned in bbq sauc... WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE A AFTER TASTE. ewwwwwwwwww not $66 dollars on a Sunday! And don't get me started on them salmon rolls (BURNT) Everything went in the trash.

Turkey wings were huge with no seasoning and not fully cooked. Mac was runny and the greens taste like they were out of a can. Waste of $20.

I'm so happy that I stumbled on this place randomly while running an errand in the area! Ordered over the phone a 4 wing combo with Mac and cheese and broccoli and everything was excellent! Wings were seasoned well and fried to perfection, the Mac was really flavorful and the broccoli was cooked well (not mushy) with a nice garlicky/butter sauce on top. The food was presented well and came with a piece of cornbread that was moist with a nice outside crust. It is a takeout spot with counters and high chairs around the perimeter to sit at while you wait. Parking can be tight on the street but I was able to find a spot just around the corner. Will definitely be back if I'm in the mood for some good soul food!!

The mac & cheese taste wayyyyy too garlicky. Disgusting! The yams & whiting was good tho.

Was looking for place to get some good Soul food and was blown away! Ordered the Wings, Mac N Cheese and Potato salad and felt right at home eating. Would recommend this place and will be back very soon!

I live nearby and needed a place for good home style food. So happy I tried it. Food was fresh, tasty....not over salted. I will go back.

Everytime I order from here the food is good, the portion size is just right, and it gets cooked in perfect timing. I always get a call either when they have ran out of something that I ordered online and offers a replacement or when my food is completed. The communication couldn't be any better. This will definitely continue to be my "go to" soul food spot.

Food is good, but the service.. I tried this eatery three different times and ordered a number of their dishes. For the most part the food is pretty good, however the service is lacking. On the second occasion that I ordered, they forgot to give me the collard greens that I substituted for the fries. When I brought it to her attention she denied that they forget them. She then asked what day and time I ordered. I informed her that I knew I had to be the first person that called that day due to the place opening at noon and they took my order at 12.05pm. She then begrudgingly admitted that they forgot the greens but made no effort to reimburse me. That order was roughly $50 and am not a cheapskate but PLEASE GIVE ME WHAT I PAY FOR. Lastly, I decided to order for my mother, girlfriend and myself today. I mentioned the greens again before I ordered and was completely ignored (oh well). I placed another order. It came to $55.09. She really gave me back 4 dollars and .91cents in change. I believe that this is my last time coming here...

The food and the service was horrible! My coworkers and I ordered the ribs, Mac and cheese and the candied yams. The Mac and cheese looked dry, and tasted like it was made with vinegar or the cheese was spoiled and the ribs were tough. We ordered a sweet potato cheesecake and when we opened the bag, there was no dessert. My coworker went back to the store and the rude staff said "oh we don't have that ". Instead of saying it up front when she picked up the order so she could substitute it for something else or offering to credit the order that was already paid for. Like a respectable establishment would do, they let her walk out knowing she didn't get what was already paid for. Still waiting on my refund and Will never order from here again!!!

For starters the food was delicious Personally I had the Chicken Alfredo and it was awesome. But to get it was a task. I did a phone order at 220pm they said it would be 45 mins. I was on my way after an hour and they called saying they had no more fish. So I changed my order. 3 out of 5 platters I ordered were fish. Then I find out after I got there and waited another half hour that they did not have noodles for my two remaining orders of chicken Alfredo. So I waited some more. After 2 hours and 15 mins I got all my food but half of it was cold due to the noodles not being ready. In addition to that long wait they were arguing. Everyone except for one lady seemed nonchalant about my order taking so long. Amongst the yelling I heard someone was 20 mins late for their shift and the lady that I'll say "saved the day" made them stop taking new orders until they caught up. I saw a lot in my hour and 15 mins of waiting inside including people refusing to wait longer and leaving and door dashers getting restless. It was just inexcusable. And for the food to be so good it was disheartening. I just hope they get it together. Also only the counter girl had a mask on. None of the cooks were wearing them

I did not like the food. The turkey wings and no flavor and the cabbage was horrible. It was not worth the $20.

After my 3rd time ordering from here , I had to give this place a break. Mac n Cheese was overcooked and lady who was working at the front counter was too busy trying to rush me out the door

So I ordered thru Uber eats and they did not send what I wanted. I asked for potatoe salad and got cabbage. So of course I didn't eat it. I just ate the Mac and cheese which was ok and the fried chicken needed seasoning. The cornbread was good.

Nice neighborhood spot. Willing to try another dish on my next visit. Management cares about its customers and are quick to resolve any issues.

Terrible customer service. The food itself is a 3.5 out of 5. I would not go out of my way to get it and it took 1 hour for a pick-up order. -- I walked in and the young girl (Bre) said "stop right there" and proceeded with her phone call. She never addressed me again, even as she ended up side by side with me. I was the only one there and another employee had to help me. Basic masks protect other people, not you. Each employee in that establishment was NOT wearing one nor gloves yet a comment was made and it was an expectation of customers? Truly, the only reason I held back from writing this review is because of this one woman who holds this place together. (She currently has braids with red ends) Even one of the cooks stares at you intently when he's at the front and says nothing. Second time he's done that.

Okay so I hate to give them 2 stars because the food is about a 4 BUT the WAIT TIME & SERVICE attitude is something left to be desired. If you order from this establishment pickup or delivery (I've done both) expect at least an hour and 15 min wait time. This is an issue they need to address and figure out a better prep method for food. Other than that the food is pretty good.

I decided to try this Soul Food Restaurant near me and THREE WORDS...... WASTE OF MONEY. The food didn't taste the way i thought it would and I should've checked YELP before I even placed the order. I will not be returning and I was highly disappointed.

I really wanted to like this place, but the inconsistencies are very disappointing. The fried catfish is still fantastic, but the fried chicken (which on first try was great) had absolutely no flavor, although fried well, it had no seasoning. My broccoli was over cooked with absolutely no seasoning (not even salt), not like my first 2 tries where it was lightly steamed with garlic with a hint of garlic. The string beans are over cooked with large pieces of onions . The fried whiting fish was dry with a hint of seasoning (nothing like the catfish). The rice and gravy tasted of low grade cafeteria style food. I hate to slam this place, but with the inconsistency of the menu, the only item I will buy is the fried catfish, maybe I'll try the cheese steak rolls if they ever have it available. I'm so very sorry to have to leave this review. I gave 2 stars only on the strength of the AMAZING fried catfish.

If you would like to order from this establishment, place your order at least three hours before you want to eat. Also, be prepared to overpay for just okay food. I paid $13 for one soggy piece of catfish. Expect a few surprises. If you order fish, you may be eating chicken instead. Be sure to preheat your over. Food will be cold. I really wanted to like and support this place. I ordered from here twice. I was disappointed both times. Another thing.... If you would like to experience bad customer service, give them a call to ask about your order.

I've had better, and for 30+ dollars I spent, I was expecting better. I ordered my food at 5:59pm it wasn't ready until a little after 7pm. I ordered fried catfish with greens and Macaroni Salad platter with a side order of Mac & Cheese, and fried shrimp. For the dessert I ordered the strawberry crumble cake. Sadly when I went to bit into my fish, It had a very sour/funny smell, I couldn't finish it. The salad was lack seasoning for me, the same with the greens. After well over an hour wait, got home and realized they forgot my Mac and cheese....well they could have kept that. It was beyond salty. The shrimps were a nice size but the battered they fried them in, didn't do it for me. The batter was barely sticking to the shrimps and falling off the shrimp. Sadly my entire dinner went into the trash, and I hate throwing food away.

The foos was so freaking good. Definitely coming back for more !! The turkey wings were amazing. The portion size is good and very affordable.

Everything is exceptional! Love this place as I have visited several times. A very clean and beautiful environment. The people are friendly and the food is amazing. Try their soul rolls...the buffalo chicken and Philly cheesesteak rolls are on point! Thank you for providing the city with good food and healthy options. Yum!
