29 Best Restaurants in Dubai, From Kebab Counters to Late-Night Lounges | Condé Nast Traveler

"Transplanted from Beirut to Business Bay, I found Soul Kitchen’s Levantine/Latin hybrid cuisine soulful and community-minded: ceviche tabbouleh, hummus chimichurri, shawarma empanadas and Wagyu kafta in arepas sit alongside lively programming like Monday jazz, Latin Sundays and supper clubs. The lush, plant-filled venue doubles as an arts space and pairs its inventive menu with cocktails like Araki bellinis and sumac-laced peach margaritas." - Claudia de Brito, Sophie Prideaux

Soul Kitchen

"Following years of turmoil in their native Lebanon, Beirut creative collective Factory People transplanted their thoughtfully curated restaurant, listening room, and communal hub Soul Kitchen to Dubai’s Business Bay. The food—Levantine/Latin hybrid that celebrates waves of Arab migration to Central and South America—is, indeed, soulful: Think ceviche tabbouleh, hummus chimichurri, shawarma empanadas, and Wagyu kafta in pillowy arepas paired with Araki bellinis and sumac-laced peach margaritas. But musically minded locals have also forged a community around Monday jazz sessions, Latin Sundays, iftar supper clubs, and party brunches with global musicians and DJs taking the stage. The lush, plant-filled space also doubles as an arts venue: Rumi Dalle’s Feathers of a Migration is suspended from the ceiling, and walls are adorned with textiles curated by carpet house Iwan Maktabi." - Sarah Khan

Soul Kitchen is a masterpiece of flavor and culture—a Lebanese–Latin American fusion I’ve truly been waiting for my entire life. As a proud Haitian now living in Miami, surrounded by many Lebanese and Latino friends, I’ve always loved Lebanese food for its healthy choices and rich, vibrant flavors. This restaurant captures the heart of that connection perfectly. Every dish was unforgettable: the hummus with chimichurri (mind-blowing), ceviche with tabbouleh, empanadas, and a perfectly cooked steak, paired with a peach-infused margarita that brought everything together. Dessert—the tahini and labneh with cookie crumble—was a brilliant finale, creamy, nutty, and beautifully balanced. What deeply moved me was the artwork of the birds, symbolizing the migration of the Lebanese people across Latin America, including my own Haiti. It beautifully reflects the shared story of resilience, flavor, and cultural blending that defines this restaurant. The atmosphere is electric, the food is world-class, and the team is exceptional—Charif, the visionary behind it all, has created something extraordinary, and Agostino and the staff made the experience warm, personal, and unforgettable. Soul Kitchen isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a celebration of heritage, health, and humanity through food. The world has been waiting for this fusion. Miami, you need one of these ASAP And Chef Margarita… I’m waiting for the Haitian Kibbeh🔥🇭🇹🇱🇧🔥 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — A soulful, inspiring, and delicious experience from start to finish.

I've been trying to get to this restaurant since its opening and it in no way disappointed. Chef Margarita's Lebanese and Latin inspired dishes were absolutely superb. Coupled with amazing live music and ambiance it made for an amazing night. I can't recommend this gem enough!

Fun place to go for dinner/drinks as a group. Great music and lively atmosphere. We were not impressed by the food and price is more than expected. We will definitely come back not sure about dinner though.

Went there for saturday brunch. The music and atmosphere were amazing. The food was good, but it was a buffet and the queue was too long. The drinks service was a bit slow we had to go grab our own drinks at the bar sometimes. The price is very affordable compared to other brunches in dubai.

We had an amazing experience at Soul Kitchen in Dubai! The food was absolutely fantastic, especially the quality of the dishes. The atmosphere, with live music, created such a great vibe, and our waiter Erlando was extremely friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely come back the next time we’re in Dubai!

I just visited this place, and it’s honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Dubai. The menu is extremely disappointing. They describe the cuisine as a mix of Arabic and Mexican, but in reality the dishes are bland, poorly executed, and served in very small portions. I’m attaching a photo of the Red Snapper I was served for $55, which speaks for itself. If you’re looking to waste your money, this is the place—otherwise, I strongly recommend skipping it. The server openly showed disappointment that I didn’t order more dishes, which made the interaction uncomfortable. To make things worse, I was charged $10 for a bottle of water that I wasn’t even allowed to take with me. I was told I couldn’t take the water bottle out, which I found absurd. Overall, a terrible experience and a place I would not return to.
